Reminds us of Contra and we loved contra. Nice work on the game. Wish we had "up-up-down-down-left-right-left-right-a-b-a-b-select-start"!!! You know what we're talking about.
It's a hard game but really fun. Takes a while and a few tries to beat a level but it makes it even more gratifying and fun when you do. We love the old school shooters with no aiming and its so fun. Could improve the arsenal and add perks but other than that really fun game.
We remember seeing our dad play it when we were like 7…and it was different than it is now.now we have our own ipad and we play a bit every day.the old looked better.you guys made a great game.the old times.

This game is horrible.The bad guys come out of no were ,and theres only 6 guns!.Also the bosses have way more weapons than you do! Also it's slow.And you can't run.And this game is unfair.we've would give this game 2 stars.

This is the worst game ever!! You can't move the controls around for your thumb placement which makes the game nearly impossible!! Very bad game.
People complain about this game being a rip off from Contra. Okay! We'll have you that but notice that you don't find the Contra here nor other great games. We'd like to see a knock off of Super Mario Brothers as well. And please, someone make a knock off of Metroid. Make sure the character has that same hotness that Samus did too! Knock off of Contra… Thank you for bringing the great games to the iPhone.

We love command because we like to kill on the game.
This game is what it claims to be. A callback to a great retro game, Contra. If your a gamer that's grown up playing normal mode, or casuals… This ain't for you. If you fondly remember struggling through every level of classic games until you knew the layout of each by heart or if your a new age gamer that always plays extreme mode in search of a challenge this is the game for you. Btw, game isn't remotely close to impossible, we're no side-scrolling god, but we still make it to the 5th level before losing our first life. Get over your expectations for games to hold your hand. That was just a gimmick to increase market share. The true games, the classics, are going to be difficult, because when you beat it it's an accomplishment and not just the expected result.

We say this because we have some friends that say they want a game they can play and pass. Also we like this game but it is very hard to play but very fun . Is there any way you guys also can put in a select a mode :ex. Easy,median,hard,crazy hard. Thanks YOUR PLAYER, John Venegas.
The game wood get 5 stars if it was longer. Playing here and there the game last a while. If u are a iPhone gamer, this game will be finished within the 30 min or less… Still good game. Give us a update with new levels.
Good game but rip off of contra.
We can't even beat the first level it is so hard and the bad guys are like aim bots your screwed once the gunners see you. If you like terrible games and wasting memory space we would recommend it.

Great game, but only 8 levels? Cheap… Should have at least 30 levels. But great game and loads of fun and challenge.
We just beat the game and it's awesome, we just wish there were more levels.
If you're a fan of the original Contra, buy this.

A 2 year old can make a better game.
They are awful. Why not just have two control sticks, one for movement and one for the firing action, and constant firing? You people don't care about the customer's satisfaction much, do you.

This brings back memories from the orinial contra game. Almost a copy, but its still good. Arcade fun.
These are opinion based reviews and we understand that and everyone has a right to opinion. However, we find this game appealing. Firstly it captures the classic Contra feel from the NES (though easier to beat in our opinion). Those who complain it is to hard need to realize that it was based off the previously mentioned and therefore is ment to be hard (hard does not mean its a bad game). Secondly the controls are good, though take a little getting used too. Lastly, the game does look and play smoothly, and we recommend it to those up for a challenge or are fans of Contra.

Oh this game brings back memories of Contra and for you kids trying to find a ai Ing system JUMP and while in the air, aim and shoot. There IS aiming and it was made that way on purpose don't blame that is has terrible controls.

The people that say the game is stupid because u cant aim are stupid. Your not supposed to aim!!! This is based on the classic game "contra" if u don't like it, then u weren't a 90's kid. This game is awesome and brings back many memories.

When we do 2 up, 2down, left, right, left, right, and pause it won't work.
This game is fun but still has flaws. The power ups are cool and the boss battles can be entertaining. However, this game doesn't have a save feature, if you stop playing you will have to start back from the beginning. Also its a one-hit kill, that makes it especially hard. This game has flaws but the fact that its free makes it worth it. However if they every charge for it you're going to want to skip over this one.
This game is fun but stupid hard… Normally we like a challenge but in this case it's to hard. All the non playable characters are stronger then the actual player. The game would be much better if you had a health bar and didn't lose a life and a powerup everytime a npc shoots you or touches you. 3/5 stars.
