This game needs serious work, units are practically idiots that have no idea what to do. Its very frustrating. We need the option to see replays instead of imagining what happens during an attack on our bases.
Everyone uses the same maps and heros, the game forces you to lose, and it lags out at times. Support is non existent. Theres far greater games to play when taking a dump.
We’ve been playing this for about a month. Its fun. Kinda like clash of clans but way more enjoyable. Got our first epic hero, killing it. Its almost inevitable you got get the season pass to really get into it. 3.99 aint bad though, we figure this a cheap indie game on the phone. We’ve spent money on worst. Have fun.
This game is a copy paste of Art of War, but instead of a battle field its islands.
Change App Store region for cheaper prices Use autoclickers! They wont ban you. If you dont you will grow too slow! Join FRwL for more. Russian team is best.
We love these games, except one detail, is that both games dump us out in the middle of a fight, just as we start to really gain a lot, maybe we master them, but its not nice. Thats it only one interesting flaw.
This is an addictive money grab. The more you play this game, the more you realize that it is very poorly designed. Your troops and heroes attack random things instead of prioritizing. Even your ranged troops will rush ahead and attack melee troops instead of staying back. You can drop a bunch of paratroopers in one block and instead of attacking the enemy troops (that theyd easily kill), theyll run away, attack the wall, and theyll all die. Your troops and heroes get stuck all of the time and run back and forth without attacking anything because of this incredibly poorly designed prioritization. We honestly think that either: the developers deliberately designed it this way to make the game more difficult, or that the developers of this game are simply incapable of coming up with better logic. Seriously, if you already play this game, stop playing, and if you dont play this game, dont start.
This is so fun like addicting because you have to fight other people bases we recommend that you get it.
We’ve played the game for over a year and ultimately nothing makes sense. There is no real way to gage if youll win or lose an battle. There are basic outlines, but they dont line up from attack to attack. It almost seems arbitrary when you win or lose. Yes there are basic levels of risk that you can kind of use as a guide, but even those dont factor in at certain points. The game overall is stupid, but addictive and leads you on, as youre always building your island/army.
We really enjoy playing the game. But Im tired of it kicking us out the game in the middle of a battle.
We downloaded this game twice and deleted it immediately twice thinking and then hoping it was the game advertised, but its not. If it was like how it is advertised we would play it.
This game has been so good and it relax us a a bit when ever we are Tired.
It would be cool if you could tap on a Pearson and you could control the unit.
Unlike other games, the developers actually take time to respond to reviews, because of that, we will update our review. Hero progression for paid heros is the same as free, AI is iffy, and it doesnt need to rain all of the time.
Is pier and adventure every going to be added? Its said coming soon since we downloaded over a year ago. Achievement awards could be better considering the length of time it takes. Otherwise a solid game.
First off, its not whats advertised in other games. Second, its an ad platform with a game attached. If you like this kind of game then find one that isnt an ad delivery system. As for the game itself, its ok.

Fix maps or have an option to have it flat again.. We absolutely hate the maps to defend our base.. It has no advantage having high ground.. We have less units due to stairs.. We also want to say add a replay so we can see what happen to our base so we can learn how to defend it better.. We absolutely hate the disadvantage.. But we will still give it 5 stars because it truly is fun and the developers update the game which is critical to making the game better.. Please let it be an option to have flat island again.. Also fix archers to shoot flying units first the AOE is on something else just letting dragons breath fire on them makes no sense.. We pray this happens as soon as possible in Jesus name..

Overall better than the ads most ads make the player playing the game dumb but this is much a easier game to play this is truly a great game!
It seems like theres an attempt to ruin any fun, between nerfing some of the best units and continuously trying to put players against the worst islands its a bit ridiculous really.
This is a really fun game and we enjoy it a lot, but there is a bug where if you speed up the upgrade of a building, it doesnt speed up at all and just wastes your resources. Once that is fixed Ill move to 5 stars.
The game started great. Now it is nerfing units and heroes to get players to pay to win. We are not getting our dollar worth and feel deceived.
A dead end when you get your purple/gold tier troops to level 8, must pay gems to level up to level 9+ for purple/gold tiers troop.
The Island War admin team went on a power team kicking players from the discord. All because a team Korea Apex blatantly cheated for over 3 seasons with PROOF being shown and the admin team choosing to do nothing about it. After players called them out on the hypocrisy IW_Commander went on a wild kicking spree, even banning IP ADDRESSES. If you want a game that condones cheating, this is it. Theres plenty of ways to get around the rules and as long as you pay, the dev team doesnt have an issue with it.
This game will act like you can win some prescribed amount of benefits but if you look closely its all a lie.
We got a daily average of 1 hour on this game. Just saw this. Thats the depressing part. The best part is that this game just keeps you on. Between the quests, the development of your troops and the overall simplicity. Sure you can pay to play, but we honestly think youd be missing out. We feel like Im getting a Command and Conquer (mid evil version)/Tower defense fix that needed to be scratched for quite some time. Just the biggest fear we have is Ads take over. Everything is growing and developing and similar to Golf Clash and the rest, you fall in love with an App and next thing you know, its too much development too fast and the bubble pops. Appreciate the work by the devs. Keep up the great work.
We’ve been playing for months and have loved it. However, several recent changes have made winning battles much more difficult against players of similar strength. Now , the big guys can hammer the mid and lower levels who have no chance for revenge.
It was just like as it was on the ads sure though animation was not the same but it was still very fun to play!!
This game is awful. Its fun in spurts, but the devs change hope things work constantly and do everything they can to drain money from you. Want to be in the top 1000 players? Better be ready to spend $2000. Avoid.
Very well done. Gameplay it satisfying and easy to understand and upgrades arent so time consuming its not worth it. Its easy to progress and you dont have to buy gems, you can get them easily though challenges and from your ours. Why Im writing this review: 1- we found a bug that freezes all shops and troops upon deployment. Not game breaking but a bit irritating to retreat because your troops are frozen. 2- we think the match-making could be improved. Id prefer to only be matched with people within 2 or 3 thousand of our own power. Two reasons for this. First, getting matched with someone 30,000 power or more below us is a bit disappointing because they dont have as many resources to plunder and its simply not worth it. Second, we have only been successfully raided by people 30,000 power or more above us. How we arrange our defenses doesnt even matter at that point, they just plow right through us. Id like to actually have our defenses tested. Right now, we dont know if they work properly because the people who pull off a raid on us are so powerful, nothing we do would matter anyway. Matching with people within 3,000 of your own power would be sufficiently challenging to raid and defend. Anyway, this is the most fun we’ve had on a mobile game for a while. Seriously well done. There are some flaws for sure but they are small enough that they dont take away from the experience. We get matched unfairly with people, yes, but it doesn’t happen enough that its a serious problem. Really, thanks for making this.
This is a fun game that we like sooooo much!
We love how you can play stages and earn gold,wood, diamonds you dont have to spend much at all, we love the battle passes it gives you ton of items needed. Game is time consuming it takes days to upgrade your stuff and lots of troop cards to upgrade. You can choose to spend money or not, you dont need to keep up with the big boys who cares about match making just have fun and upgrade your army.
