We would like to start off by saying we love Jetpack Joyride. But, thats all that this is. Except for the fact that you have to pay 5$ a month to play it. We really like Apple Arcade, but all the + games are just the original games. Its not bringing back nostalgia, if we wanted that we might as well just play the original game. Its still published and is for free. In other Review responses there has been responses of we are just trying to bring back the original experience, ok but like where did it go? Like bring back from where? You can still download the same thing but just for free! We understand that apple needs to have these experiences so people want to keep Apple Arcade but this just isnt the way to do it, it gunks up all your new games with old games that you didnt really even make. Thanks for reading, just giving our thoughts!
The stats menu is totally broken, as it says we’ve played 0 games. Also it will not post our best distance to leaderboard on Game Center.
This game is forever one of our favorites Its crazy to believe now Im a grown man, we used to sit in our room and listen to the radio and play this game in the dark when Im supposed to be asleep for school, our mom checking up on us and us pretending to be asleep. We all can agree the OG jetpack joy ride will always be one of a kind. We miss those days we are very thankful to be alive now and we hope everyone a blessed day dont ever forget someone loves you !

Played the original when it came out, we remember trying to find nonexistent secrets and Easter eggs. Saw this and decided to try it out! Its been a blast to try to 100% complete this (which we think we did back then but we cant really remember lol) the missions are a nice incentive to keep playing, the lack of ads and micro transactions is a BLESSING and the care and love put into every single detail remind us why we love the game! Simple, fun, 10/10 Halfbrick classic :DD.
We would definitely like to see more in this game particularly more areas and sectors with different designs and places, like maybe you can fly outside through dinosaurs or something it gets pretty repetitive would be cool to have more background scenery.
This game has honestly been amazing we got it when we were super bored and played it so much but Im wondering do yall plan to add the ninja turtle event Im kinda bummed we cant play for the ninja turtle characters it was one of our favorite events on regular jet pack joyride if yall add the ninja turtle event there would be no reason for the game to not be rated 5 stars is its the only big thing missing.

Crashes after EVERY BLING GAME!!!! Annoying!!!
We love this game, having played it on other platforms for years now. This version worked fine for a while but more and more it will randomly crash. Sometimes at the beginning, sometimes at the end before it gets back to the title screen. If at the end it usually forgets whatever progress we madegoals, SAM runs, coins, whatever. We have contacted the developer for support, but their solutionclose out of all apps and restart the phonehad no effect. We do love this game but we cant play this version with the uncertainty.
This is an amazing version of the original, but we’re wondering why there aren’t event themed items. We think they could also add the skins for SAM and sell them for coins.
Everyone who has played this has been disappointed do to the lack of new content, which is honestly infuriating. Most people who purchased Apple Arcade because of this game dont really know that when a game has the label + on it, they assume there is new content and/or features. Sadly with Apple Arcade this is not true, as Apple Arcade ports dont add anything new, they just make the app available to Apple Arcade users. However, this version is considered as a downgrade, as there is no paid content, such as paid vehicles, a third gadget slot, and premium jet packs and vehicle outfits. As everything paid was removed. This however is not the problem us, as we never spent money on the game, and we found the ads in the free version annoying. If you were a fan of jet pack joyride and you dont want ads, but you never spent money on the game, this is for you. Update: Recent updates have introduced premium content from the free version and have made them available to purchase with coins. Game Center support has also been fixed.
Extremely good and very addicting! This is the game we remember playing as a kid for hours on end! Our only issue we’ve run into is it wont let us purchase the third gadget slot and when we tried to contact support through the app it redirected us to email and then we got an automatic reply saying the email wouldnt go through because Im not in the group despite it being a support email address, any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
This game is really fun! When it works. Half of the time when we play it, it crashes which gets really annoying when we can only play one or two rounds before having to re-login to the game.
This version of the game feels very complete, as if you bought the game for a console. All of the content is unlockable, including seasonal events. And it is very fun to just play uninterrupted. We would absolutely pay $15 for this version of the game on something like steam.
We love this game since the new update! The different events are really cool! It keeps it more interesting with the extra places to joyride. We love how you can collect skulls or shamrocks to get prizes. We wish it didnt get going so much faster so soon lol, but we guess thats why they call it a joyride. Excellent update!
So the crashing stopped out of nowhere but we forgot to update the review. This game is great and has everything without in app purchases or ads!
THANK YOU Halfbrick for bringing this game to Apple Arcade! We liked the original but the Arcade version is better in our opinion. No mucking about with ads or IAPs, just good ol fashioned fun gameplay. Still think there are too many lasers though.

If you enjoyed the original, youll be sure to enjoy this one as well. All in app purchases are gone and everything is available to the player for coins instead. A quality experience.

Great game, but as soon as we complete a SAM challenge, the game crashes and undoes the run. This wasnt happening a week ago, so Im not exactly sure what happened. EDIT: Completed the mission to purchase and use Nerd Repellent, which was bugged and we had to reequip the gadget. Still, bugs that result in a crash on an Apple Arcade game that hasnt had any patches in over a year says something. Changed from 1 to 4 stars.
Theres a glitch where we cant choose which save data we want to keep when we played without being connected to iCloud, so now we cant even play the game because we cant leave that screen.
In the original there was a lot more content but Im not too worried about that what we liked was that u could watch ads to double your rewards and it was especially helpful in events and now u have to collect 6000 without being to double ur high runs and it makes it too much of a grind maybe something similar is in events u can pay coins to double ur reward EX: you get 50 pumpkins in event you pay 2,500 coins and u double ur rewards.
We have been playing Jetpack Joyride for over a decade, so being able to enjoy the game without having to deal with annoying ads feels wonderful. What doesn’t feel wonderful, however, is having the game occasionally crash before we even get started or right after we finish with our first session of the day. We would very much appreciate if you could resolve this issue as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing what else you have in store for your userbase.
Been playing this for about a month and it just started crashing. It crashed 4 times in a row right when we started a run. If the devs want to contact us we can send crash reports.
Can you guys make so that we can have our data transferred to this one because we have a lot of stuff on the old one and Id honestly rather play that old version than this one.
This game is great, but lately it crashes for no apparent reason.
The game is the same great game minus a bunch of ad stuff, which is amazing, but the newer mobile game design philosophy shows its fangs here nonetheless. Since the game lacks all microtransactions and ads, all the ways to speed up the grind for events are gone, so its clearly evident they tuned these events for their free version and not the arcade version. Its a real shame because seeing how awful the grind is to get anything on an event just makes us want to close the app and stay away. Still, we do give it three stars. Even without the speed up mechanics from ads and microtransactions like the coin doubler, the game is still fun to play. Too bad we couldnt bring our progress from the free account to this version. But please, devs. Give this version a bit of a tune up to avoid the awful grind so that its just fun to play.
Overall the same great fun from the original game but it feels like it takes forever to earn coins, and it makes it a bit of a slog.
The game can suddenly crash and we’ve noticed that when unlocking new gadgets and trying to purchase them, the game suddenly comes to a standstill. Closing reopening the AP seems to do the trick but we wish the game didnt have these bugs for example.
Game crashes randomly and its annoying when we collected the S and the A for S.A.M. And Im on our token spins lol otherwise its solid and the game really takes us back to when we were in high school.
Update 3: keeps crashing, however this time something else happened: missions are not updating. – our missions are to dodge 3 missiles in one game; we dodged 7 and it was still not refreshing. – to rub the ceiling for 1200m and after 3 runs and way over 10000m, it is still at Cero – to go 800m on the profit bird, our 490m still were not recorded. We reset the device, only the SAM challenge passed but all missions remained at Cero. Please fix it. Its a fun game and we dont want to stop playing due to lack of support. Thanks update 2:: it seems that the game crashes after completing the SAM challenge and you have more than 2 tokens as well as cleared 2 missions. The most common times the game has crashed are when we have more than 7 tokens (does not matter if we cash them in or play the slots), went past 5000m, and have more than 1 mission completed. If we are past 8000m the risk of crashing is even greater. Not sure if the amount of coins collected made a difference. Update::: so, when we still played on our iphone 8, the game crashing after the SAM run completes, it was kind of understandable as we were playing on an older phone and it already was having trouble keeping up with some apps. But we are now using an iphone 13 pro and the game STILL crashes after collecting the SAM reward forcing you to run it again. This is the THIRD TIME TONIGHT that it has crashed consecutively. There is definitely something wrong in the code making it crash at that specific point of saving the game. Please fix it original::: so, as many have already said, the game is the same JJ but no ads and in app purchases. Considering this is just a game to spend some time on and not something to be critical about, we definitely enjoy playing it. As of this date, JJ+ does seem to have all the vehicles, third gadget slot, outfits and heads from the original JJ sadly your original progress will not carry over (or at least ours didnt), so we had to start from scratch we took out one star because the game crashes sometimes after the very first game of the day, so if you cleared the sam challenge and other missions, chances are that your progress will be lost and you have to start again. Since we only play at night before sleeping, we tend to just call it a night when it crashes please fix that issue and it will be great currently we are using an iphone 8: not in a rush to upgrade phone as a casual gamer anyway, yeah just that all else is good and fun.
It’s been okay, but none of the gadgets work if you enable the lunar new year event. We could see why the dog might get disabled, but nothing seems to work other than the missile jamming.

Im continually suffering a forced closing of the app, losing some of our progression every time, please fixe this issue, as we cant give more than 3stars or less if worsen.

This game is really fun and we really like playing but theres just one problem the Halloween updates go on it. They need to update it. Its almost March now. And it still hasnt been updated. Updated to a new update so there isnt a Halloween update update, update update update update update update update update update update, update update update update update and update.
In the first game, you opened up and played it (at least until they made it F2P garbage). It was simple and easy to grasp. It still is simple, but now it wants to keep interrupting the game play with chat, stages, bosses, etc. The new mechanics don’t improve upon what was already a great game.
Game has had constant crashes since the Thanksgiving update. Frustrating when it crashes in the middle of playing.
This just astonishes us. We have never seen a major mature app that has been out for years crash so much. This along with other niggling bugs (lost real-time events) just annoys us. Applewhere are you? Apple is paying this company part of our good money for this game. You can bet this half-brick tests their pay 2 play version of the game better, and would never let this through their QA for that version! (I never experienced a crash in the p2p version, the arcade version? Two crashes in a row, rarely a day w/o a crash)
BASICALLY JET PACK WITHOUT IN APP PURCHASES OR ADS. PRETTY DUMB AND LAME IF WE ARE PAYING TO PLAY THIS IN THE SPECIAL APPLE ARCADE WE SHOULD AT LEAST GET SOMETHING ELSE BESIDE THE GAME WITHOUT IN APP PURCHASES OR ADS.
Have been playing for some time now, but in the last couple of weeks, the game keeps crashing a different times. Really frustrating when you just finished SAM or gained a double coin bonus and game crashing loosing all your progress as it does not register achievements yet uses the bonuses.
