Description

Jezzball!

It’s a race to clear the grid before time runs out in this action puzzle game! Swipe your finger and watch the red and blue lasers flow outwards and race to the edges of the grid. Only a strike from one of the ricocheting red-and-white balls will prematurely end its journey. Succeed in reaching the side and the grid will be sliced in half along your lasers lines.

Once you clear over 75% of the grid – you win! Earn more points the faster you clear and the more of the grid you clear in your final slice. Enjoy old-school arcade-style sound effects and graphics as you compete against other players in the Game Center leaderboards.

Jezzball Reviews

So much fun! Are little glitches here and there however, but no big deal especially for the price. What we dont like is we’ve been to 8 balls and our score is 67,000 or something but then we look at the all-time leaderboard and some guy got 2 million and that doesnt seem possible in Jezzball. That would be like 32 balls or something. Very unlikely! We want the leaderboard to just compare Jezzball scores. Not a compilation of scores in games made by gearsprout. Just Jezzball scores! Okay?

We love it, it’s just how we remember it. However, sometimes when two balls break a forming wall of the same color at once it counts it as two lives lost. Also, sometimes balls break "invisible walls" and make us lose lives. Other than that, the game is great. Hopefully they fix the bugs soon!

Half the time we have no idea how many lives we have left because the number disappears. Sometimes we lose lives without touching the screen. Its been 3 years since youve done an update. Fix the bugs.

The game physics are off. Balls will hit we invisible lines, or two balls will hit the same line and count as two lives lost. Balls passing through corners of walls.

No settings. No ability to silence noise. You cant see how many lives you still have. It just flickers as youre losing them. Needs work.

Mechanics are a joke. If you just want to hit 75% and dont care about bugs, maybe youll enjoy it. If youre looking for satisfying 90%++ clears with tight lines and captures (sacrificing a column, more advanced play) this doesnt even begin to cut it. Its a low effort clone and a money grab by the developer.

Lives only shows up 70% of the time. You wont have a line being drawn, but a ball will hit a wall and take a life. $.99 isnt bad, but this game is worse.

Just like we remember it, exactly the same game with some added sound effects – awesome!

We bought this because we missed the old game. Although it is similar, there are a lot of issues. The balls will randomly jump lines and randomly get stuck. About a quarter of the time, it doesn’t register that we tried to draw a line. There is a lag in between tapping the screen and the line, making it more luck than skill. It glitches randomly and deletes lives even when we haven’t drawn any lines. We’ve lost multiple times due to that. When it tells you you have a new high score, the text doesn’t go away, which blocks part of the game screen (more annoying than anything else) Don’t waste your $0.99. It’s a disappointment.

We were hoping for a bare bones port for the nostalgia. While they kept the visuals mostly, they added dumb techno filler music instead of the classic sound effects. And the controls are a nightmare. Not responsive at all often requiring several screen taps to get it right making the game more luck than anything. Do not buy.

The game just doesn’t work right. Too many issues with the physics. Balls jump lines, lines don’t create fast enough. Solid start but not worth your .99.

Worth the .99? Yes, but definitely needs improvements with gameplay. Multiple times the balls will just stop for no reason, and also will "Jump" crossed out lines.

We do not recommend this game. We have played previous versions and liked them so much better. When tapping to form the lines there is a considerable amount of hesitation. It is not precise at all. Thus making this previously fun game total luck and very frustrating. Not worth even the 99 cents we paid.

No way to choose horizontal or vertical lines.

There is way too much lag, the balls change direction unpredictably, do not buy.
