A huge fan of this game with a very beautiful end!! We recommend this!!

Somewhere in the green area we think it was the Bossfight there was a small problem whenever we try to jump on his head there would be an invisible barrier that would take health we so it was saying that it was standing up but and he was actually sitting down we other than that it is a good game.

So you know how when we want to move on we respond next to us was a saw so we went towards the saw just when we respond and then we died but then the normal dying thing didnt happen we just didnt die so it was like an infinite death we had to go to the home screen please fix that.

We love this game and its a lot of fun, but we’ve beat the evil one twice and when it happens we just see the credits, then it exits our save then it restarts to before we beat him. Otherwise super fun.

We really do love this game, but we feel the game has a challenge balancing what is easy vs hard game play wise. Up until desertum, it was smooth sailing, albeit some hard but fair challenges. But then it amps up to 11. We’ve looked online, and on serval forums, but no one can find the key to desertum. We’ve bought desertums map and have scoured everything with no luck. Not to mention how Calabria is honestly some of the hardest gameplay we think we’ve ever done. We really want to finish it, but with no key in sight, as well as that sleeping beast that we honestly have no idea what to do, we feel kinda frustrated.

After starting the game we were given a choice to do no time limit (easy mode) or only 30 seconds. We initially chose 30 seconds and hated it. We started a new game save and chose timeless and then was still given the 30 second time limit. There is seemingly no way to change the game mode after a choice is made either. Not a fan. 3 stars only for the graphics and concept.

And we hate this game so 1star mainly because of that reference.

We really like this game, but its clear that the studio behind this game has moved onto their next venture and have all but abandoned Jumper Jon. Many, many bugs remain unresolved – its unclear whether or not the developers play their own game. After finally beating the final boss (which was difficult since with eight hearts, the life meter never decrements if you get hit) and playing through as Jane, we cant beat the first boss because after hitting the boss, the left-right controls dont respond. That happened with the final boss too. Id really like to see some serious investment in this game or just pull it down from the App Store.

We love the game but we cant figure out how to do certain things like break the bricks. Its super frustrating. So a tutorial of the game would be fantastic.

We really enjoyed the game but it isnt very helpful. We’ve been stuck and cant seem to find a way out. We’ve gone through the maps multiple times and cant seem to find a key for a door and we cant figure out how to wake up the demon thing. Itd be nice if there was a helping option or something. We wish there were videos but not a lot of people who post videos play it to where we am, and we dont know anyone to ask for help. Really wished we could continue but we see no way.

Im really enjoying the game. It is not too hard and not too easy – just right. Definitely a must for anyone with Apple Arcade that likes platformers or Metrovania type games.

Edit 2: Latest update fixed the glitch! Edit: After sending the developer an email with a screen recording of the bug, they said they will fix it in an upcoming update. There was a previous review titled Major Glitch mentioning a bug where you cant proceed in the area after getting the backdash since the only opening that you should be able to go through, there seems to be something blocking your passage thats out of view. This was supposedly fixed in a previous update but we are still experiencing it now.

This game is one of our favorites, with an intriguing storyline and lovely art. However, we have noticed a problem with the Cold Cave, especially in the final boss fight. We have collected all eight lives, but we seem to die after being hit three times, even though our lives never visibly decrease. Please fix soon! :)

A huge fan of the game sad to see the main story line is ending. We have fun playing it, chose no time limit. Gonna restart some and try the 30 second challenge. Ran into bugs in chapter 4 and chapter 5 has a major bug Chapter 4 we couldnt fight the pegasus boss even after the Chapter 5 update it just allowed us to move into chapter 5, also got the glitched key from up in the first area added for the glitched door, (didnt experience the glitched door though). So we couldnt pick up the key in area 5 so its also just sitting there Chapter 5.. We got the extra heart capsule thing so now we have 8 hearts in total but its stuck at full health even upon dying, restarting the app, going through new areas.. So beating this final boss is almost impossible.. Ill get it eventually but we cant see how many hearts we have to know when we need to drink the health potion Also have like 3 rooms on the map that show from buying the area maps that we cant seem to access/make show on the map.. Support email to send videos or pictures to?

Its a fun game but we cant seem to find items we need. Every pot, light and enemy gives us a coin or heart. It looks like there should be dynamite or other supplies but no clue where.

Love this simple but addictive game. The graphics are rich and fun and the gameplay is challenging but not unbeatable. The 30 second timer really makes you work to explore. We’ve read many other reviews saying its too difficult but we disagree, we wouldnt make it any easier. You have unlimited lives, it just takes some repetition to get it dialed in. A couple things that we think would improve the game would be: 1) You should be able to zoom in on the map. The purple line showing connections between rooms can be pretty difficult to see so zooming would be useful. 2) Rooms with feathers (once discovered) should have an icon on the map. It would help you go back and explore areas later on without spending so much time retreading ground youve already covered. 3) Im at 99.2% completion and Im stuck in the last room. We’ve climbed to the top of the Caeremolium map and tried everything but theres nothing there. It seems like this is where a final boss would go but instead we just run around trying all our tools and nothing happens. Am we missing something or is this just not complete yet?

We saw a glitch reported in the reviews and Im also experiencing it. Where a door is missing that allows us to get back to the beginning making us stuck essentially after about 20 min of play.

We love this game. We’ve deleted and re-downloaded this game multiple times and we cant get past to the next level. Its just a wall that Im running against and we cant move to the next chapter. Any suggestions?

Fix supposedly for 1.3.1 was to fix the door that is missing if you get the back dash move by going down and around. Still cant go through the door, as its missing.

We are stuck on a level, but we dont feel like starting a new game. We wish we could switch modes on the level we are on. This way we wont have to start the whole game over and we dont have to worry about the timer. If you can switch to easy mode or normal mode during levels please tell us how to do it? If we cant change modes during gameplay, could you update so it is possible please? We know we are stuck on chapter 1, but please make a chapter 4 with this update. So we can enjoy the game for even longer.

Im having a great time playing this game. Our only concern is we cant put the options back on the screen after taking them off? Maybe Im missing something but Im just confused.

(I have gotten to the beginning of the library area) we recently played minute, a game where you have 60 seconds for a life. It was fun, and we picked this game up for its similar premise. We were disappointed. We have many frustrations with this game. Bosses you have to try 20 times to beat even though you know what to do, being instantly killed just by walking around, it taking forever to get anywhere, rooms you can only unlock if you come back later, unhelpful npcs, a bland story, and having no idea whats going on, but they all boil down to one in the end. Its not fun. It was at first, when we were exploring freely and earning new abilities, but it quickly became repetitive and lost its sense of achievement and fun. Defeat the boss its taken you 50 tries to beat? It looks sad and then explodes for no apparent reason. Finally find Jane? Three tiny minions you could easily defeat show up and carry her off, for no reason that we can tell. Why do we even have a thirty second life? All we know is that youve made a terrible mistake! And that blue flame must be because you dont belong here. Neither of which help us. Listen, we like the premise and the game started out fun. Make it less frustrating, hire some testers and story writers, and Ill try this game again. But until then, theres not enough to keep us here. We hope well see each other again. Goodbye. (Edit: whats up with the paintings and the souls? What does the fairy mean, this is a magical place in everybodys head? Why did it cost one souls at first and then five souls later? Do the paintings do anything? Its baffling) Edit 2 (response): first of all, Im sorry about how we phrased our review. We were in a bad mood and looking for someone to take it out on, and we know it hurts to get something so negative on something youve worked hard on. Secondly, we do like the difficulty and the element the timer adds to game, we just dont like the tedious and it being difficult for the wrong reasons. (Like the double jump not working sometimes for no reason.) Thanks for your response, it cleared several things up. We didnt even realize Jon was dead . We still have some criticisms, but we hope they help you. 1) some form of fast travel would be great, and it would be nice if you could go from area to area more quickly. (ie not only being able to get back into the first area through someplace that takes a while to get through) 2) a clearer story. We dont know why Jons cursed, who Jane is and why Im trying to find her, or why Im even fighting these bosses. 3) better controls. Sometimes the double jump doesnt work or doesnt work as expected, the backlash isnt very helpful, and it would just benefit from better maneuverability overall. 4) having to go back to unlock stuff/it taking awhile to get anywhere: sometimes we like going back to unlock stuff. It feels like a reward for checking and looking around earlier areas when youre stuck. But it usually only works if a) theres a hint/reason that you should go back b) doesnt take to long, and c) is a good reward. A is okay (usually) in that you remember that theres blocks you couldnt destroy/get past, but it can still be a hassle trying to find them. B is not great. C is interesting because they might be good rewards, but we have no idea what we need souls/paintings for and we never use potions because theyre rare and not too much help. Maybe we typed too much, but we hope this is helpful and makes up for our first review. Have a good day!

The games has been awesome! We got about 20 minutes in and found myself stuck… Thought we were missing something. After messing with it for almost half an hour, we got frustrated. We went up in the room where you get the back dash. You cant go back down and there is supposed to be a door that leads you back to the starting point, but its not there on ours and we cant proceed. We’ve started a new game twice and we cant get any further due to the glitch.

This game is so much fun! It is fun, fast paced, and super easy to pick up. Do yourself a favor and try it out. We cant wait for chapter 4.

Our kid lives that it is spooky. One problem is apparent lack of controller support on MacOS. Our Nimbus Controller works on iOS though. Any chance that can be addressed?

It is an amazing game but it is stressful but we still like it.

When we play a boss level, if we have to lose to that boss, we want it to be our fault, because the boss was too difficult, NOT because we get hearts taken away from us because we hit him where we were supposed to but obvious glitches within the coding count it as a hit towards us instead of towards him. That Unity virtual pad is a nightmare to control and sometimes during a boss battle (its happened during regular gameplay but specifically boss battles) it doesnt respond to when you tap on a direction arrow, and that second that u needed it to respond makes all the difference between staying alive and dying. We cant tell you how many tines we’ve died because the direction arrows are regularly unresponsive. The challenges within the game should be making us frustrated, not the faulty controls and boss battle glitches, which unfortunately are what get in the way of us wanting to continue playing this wasted potential anymore. Fix your coding issues and fix that arrow pad responsiveness. Otherwise it might come across like you threw this all together haphazardly on Unity following youtube videos just to get a quick buck. Im using an iphone 7 plus with the latest iOS but that shouldnt be an issue. Sorrynotsorry.

The game was fun until you reach the Liberya section where you have to jump on top of the green one eyed bats and then use the dash ability… We spend days trying to pass this zone and tried everything. Frustrating, no fun at all. Remember: GAMES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN. Im okay with challenging levels but this is poor game designing.

This game is wonderful! Graphic style and sound are A+. Im a huge metroidvania fan, so this game is perfect for us.

We enjoy this game but we’ve gotten to the swap monster boss and theres a bug or glitch because every time we jump on the monster it has us hovering above him and we get stuck and it eventually has us lose all our lives. Hopefully this gets fixed soon so we can continue playing but other than that its been fun.

This is one of those insanely hard platform games. Like the similar games, it really challenges the players refection and patient. Despite the difficulty. Therere 2 new unique features which adds extra layer of depth to the game. The first one is the time limitation. With this feature enabled, it brings huge amount of pressure while walking though the level. You need get yourself familiar with the level, the accurate timing for hitting the button and a bit of luck in order to beat the challenge. The second one is the semi-open level design. Together with the time limitation, it makes the level exploring more exciting and a touch of surprise when you unlock new ability because of the exploring. But on another hand, such branch path design also introduces confusion. For instance, in the beginning of the game, naturally, you will go right. But actually you have to go left first to unlock a special ability. After some long session of playing this game. We have to say at least from our point of view. The touch control is not really ideal for this type of game. With the intense gameplay, our left thumb feels pain quickly. The accurate of touch control also drives us crazy in those level which requires delicate input. After we switching to the Xbox control, it immediately feels better. For the graphics, it really stands on the low budget side. The main characters animation is not smooth. And it really looks like the white version of Super Meat Boy. Questionable design choice IMO.

Love this game! Finished Chapter 1 and looking forward to the other chapters!

We love the game. It reminds us about a Dungeon Platformer with a timer! But we seen the Original Game. Will you add a Editor like the Original?

There is a lot of good in this game but the timer ruins it.

This is fun but you should be able to switch to timeless mode once you realize that normal mode is too difficult. Parts of the game itself are difficult and unforgiving so have a time limit can make it close to impossible at some points. Some of those points are those type of repetitive checkpoints in a game that make you want to wuit playing it because youll have to play it so many times to get past it. Unfortunately, if you want to switch game modes, you have to start a new game and lose all of your progress.

We appreciate the cute character and cutscenes, but unfortunately Im not enjoying the game enough to keep playing. It doesnt help that it feels like something made in Little Big Planet with floaty platforming, flash-looking and generic enemies, and terrible, constantly repeating sound effects (double jump). The developer seems to really care though, and we really love platformers and metroidvanias especially, so Ill still be interested in seeing what they do next.

Besides us being addicted to this game, can someone please tell us how to defeat the blue ogre Im frustrated !!

Wow! The graphics are a touch cutesy, but this is a great game with a timer mechanic that makes you plan ahead without being egregiously punishing. At first it was a bit frustrating, with mention of a special ability being needed, but using the standard Metroid mechanic of backtracking past the beginning solved it. Not all games are Mario scroll-right only, sometimes you have to go backward to go forward. Mechanics are solid, but once in a while the danger zone around a spike is larger than the spike causing you to take full immediate damage. That can be quite frustrating, but once you calibrate for it it ceases to be an issue. This is one of the cutest platformers with an interesting mechanic that we have played in a while. Not quite up there with Braid, but as the story fleshes out it may be able to get to that point. We look forward to Chapter 2! [Spoiler] Stuck at the beginning? Go all the way left, explore, you will find the spin jump, which can be chained with a standard jump to go higher and further and bounce off of baddies to get interesting places. Also watch out for poorly concealed secret entrances in the walls, once you see one you will see all of them.

This game took us a few minutes to get used to, and we think playing with the controller will probably be easier, but we love it. Not sure how people think its glitched cause we had no problem finding the ability and navigating. The adds some nice challenge to make our platforming better. Plus killing enemies gives you a second or two back on your clock, so its not so bad. The signs were a little confusing at first but you dont get the bombs till much later. Our critiques would be adding a warp feature between the safe rooms so Im not backtracking quite so far with new abilities. Also not sure how the backdash is useful at all. Looking forward to more levels.

Having completed the game 95%: Pros are this is a very smooth, controls well platformer and the game doesnt consume much battery. Game is beautiful and colorful. Cons and suggestions: Backdash was completely useless. Why was that in the game? Its not even fast enough to clear the timed doors. Remove that or put it in an expansion since its not used at all. Youve got to relax the timer. Some areas are so close on the time that speed running is absolutely necessary. Either start with more time, or hide some items in the game that permanently increase your timer by 5 seconds. Also you should be able to purchase permanent timer increases at the shop instead of one time use timer potions. Not cool to get stun locked by some enemies, and the invincibility time after getting hit seems a bit too short. The cloud sections should function as fast travel to any other cloud section. The souls unlock pictures. Not sure if those will be needed later. But we absolutely do not like having to keep getting the same souls again and again because they are on a timer. They should be one time pickups. At first you cant jump down in that pit but later on it lets you. Game was not clear on this point that we could until we talked to the guy by mistake. Also its a bit jarring to jump into cut scenes.

98% pretty fun, controls best with a controller but even then some of the jumps are super annoying wish we could get back to the beginning but some parts of the level make it seem impossible to jump into small openings while being timed.

Its unclear how to get the special ability at the beginning of the game, hence unable to continue playing the game. The 30 second is really annoying.

Full disclosure, we only played this game for about an hour, so this isnt a comprehensive review but more of a first impression. We really dont understand some of the choices that were made in designing the gameplay for this. The biggest head-scratcher is the 30-Second reset mechanic. The game generally plays as a metroidvania, where you platform between areas and rooms, coming across areas you cant reach or access, then subsequently exploring to find upgrades that allow you to backtrack and access them. Here though, theres a constant and very visible timer at the top of screen thats constantly counting down. The timer resets by finding feathers spread out around the map, which also act as checkpoints. Why feathers? <shrug> So it resets every time you find a feather. If you dont reach the next feather in time? You die and reset to the last feather you found. Yes, even if you have full health and the feather is literally on the other side of the room youre in, if that timer hits zero, you bite the dust and go ALL the way back to the last checkpoint. This is awful. We cant imagine who thought this would make for a fun game mechanic. It puts a constant pressure on you to simply trick it to find the next feather. This removes any incentive to explore and dig around the map for clues and secrets, which is supposed to be a hallmark of this genre. It reduces the gameplay to nothing more than racing to the next feather. Its absolutely baffling. Even if this countdown mechanic wasnt there though, Im still not sure this would be a good game. Your character does not control well, at least with touch screen controls. The first upgrade you get, a spin attack that also functions as a double-jump, never feels as responsive or accurate as it seems like it should be. Which is bad because its a move youll be using constantly. The game is also unforgiving in terms of the players hit box in relation to enemies. You have to attack them just so, and when you are damaged by contact, theres virtually no recovery/invulnerability period, so you can get too close to an enemy and BAM BAM BAM youre dead. Either of these – sluggish controls and unforgiving gameplay – might be okay ok their own if the other was well executed, but with both of them being so bad, it makes for a frustrating experience. We will try to play this some more and see if our opinion turns, but right now at least its not looking good. The problems with the game so far are tied to what appear to be core mechanics that will persist throughout, and assuming that is indeed the case, we just cant see myself ever warming to it.

Im sorry but we Incredibly annoying having to reach a checkpoint every 30. Deleting.

The first ability doesnt work…

This game seems appealing but we cant figure out how to get the first special ability. If we need to google how to use a game on the first level, something is wrong.

Game is absolute trash, simple button mechanics with no tutorial on how the game works what so ever. And to add onto that, they have a special ability option apparently that no players have access to. Even one of the characters says to use the special ability in one of the first courses and doesnt even tell you how to use your ability. Not worth the time, absolute waste of time.
