Wonderful logic and memory puzzle game. We’ve been playing for years now. All different levels, you get to choose what you want to solve. Players create and share puzzles so seems like an infinite number of games. Soothing, light oriental background music. And the best part. No ads. Yup, no ads interrupting your play or after each puzzle. Also, when playing the player-created puzzles, if you dont like a puzzle, or its too difficult, you can skip it. You wont be required to finish it to move on to the next. Hints are available at a very reasonable price 75 hints for $7.99 (or is it $9.99?). Either way, cheap. If you like logic problems that make you think, then this is the game for you. Give it a go. Its free. Even after you install and start playing. Z.
This is a slick piece of coding. Im high functioning, but this game will challenge and humble (humiliate?) anyone. Top shelf adult game. A lifetime keeper. Ill even buy hints to show appreciation in the most universal way.
Excellent way to pass the time and force yourself to think while doing so. Just as you’re getting used to a pattern and fly through 2 or 3 levels, Kami throws a curveball at you and FORCES you to change your thinking to finish the next level. This is what a pattern puzzle game should be all about. Love it.
This is by far the best visually appealing-logic-problem-solving game we’ve found. Kind of addicted to it to be honest. We wish the following was different which is why its not 5 stars for me: when selecting hints it always restarts at the beginning (first step) which gets annoying especially if you already know the first 3-4 steps because theyre obvious. There should be a way to select a step number for hints so it doesnt take as long to see the hint for the step you are requesting it for. Overall, really fantastic!!!
When we create our publishes they disappear from our published screen and we are unable to find where they are. We were also wondering how can we see if people are following us? The game is great and we love it, we just wish we could see our published puzzles.
Having a game on mute should equal ads being muted! Would rate with 5 stars if this was fixed. Game is very fun.
Really obnoxious ads though They hide the X for 5-10 seconds and then open the App Store anyway when you click it.
We played this game years ago and dont remember ads. Is it possible we even paid for it? Not sure but we recently introduced it to our son (9yo) and he loves it but the ads really detract from the flow and feeling of the game. There doesnt seem to be an option to get rid of them. The ads just really ruin the game. Devs, please consider removing them or offering an option to pay to have them removed.
We really enjoy the game. Its fun and challenging. Its gorgeous in appearance. The colors are bold but in a good way. We are sick of the ads, though. We understand that development costs money. We understand that advertising provides money to the developers. But jeez! After almost every level, ad. And not a short ad. Theyre all multipart, like a video, then a still ad, then a buy/download now page for the ad. Need a hint? Watch an ad. So many ads. Its unclear, but maybe we can get rid of ads by buying hints (one time?)? As others have mentioned, buying hints is kind of a raw deal as well. Not every hint is helpful.
Love the game, love the fact that you can create puzzles. BUT, and this is a big one, the choice by the developers to disallow copy and paste into the password entry field means that it breaks password integration with password managers. We’ve done iOS development, and you actually have to do work to disable pasting into a password field. Just Dont Do It.
A few things. A couple with the hint system. If you use a hint, then want to use another one, you have to start the entire puzzle over. Kind of annoying and makes us want to just close out the app. And if you want to use a video for a hint, you have to wait 15 minutes before you can watch another one. And some of the later levels are incredibly difficult (frustratingly hard, not fun challenge hard) and hints are very helpful, but they make the hint system so annoying, that it just makes the game more frustrating and stressful than relaxing and fun. Also, theres no undo option, so if you accidentally tap a color you dont mean to, youre sunk. You have to start all the way over. Pretty annoying when youre 8 moves in and you mistap. Very frustrating. This could be a relaxing, fun and lovely game. But there are so many frustrating parts, that we end up wanting to throw our phone across the room. Not good for this type of game.
Used to love this game before quitting a couple years ago. And although we think there should have been more added to the game by now, thats why we didnt ming giving it another go even though we had to start over because we cannot remember our old password. Anyway we noticed some of our artwork started to disappear so we emailed on October 31. We didnt get a response until today on November 16. Yep, kinda disappointed.
This game used to be a favorite but do not play anymore due to constant crashing and losing puzzles and extra palettes that we purchased.
This would be a great game, if they wouldnt rip you off with buying tips and then not let you use them. They give you three tips to start the game but non-afterwards. It is usually fairly easy to figure out the first few moves, then you get stuck and thats when you need a tip but they wont give it to you. They will start the game over and give you the first three moves. We advise not to buy any tips. Hopefully they will fix this.
The challenge puzzle never changes. We refuse to spend 30 hints to solve one puzzle. Otherwise, it gets 6 out of 5.
Even if you wait the 15 minutes for a new hint, you can only get 1 per puzzle. Push to purchase hints.
We love love KAMI 2! As an artist, its perfect for creating original art and a challenging puzzle to solve and share. The reason for 2 stars and not 5 is that we create and publish a puzzle, only its deleted from the published site in less than 24 hours. Our puzzles just vanish. Its very frustrating. Please fix ASAP. Plus, there isnt a contact method on the app to report these problems. Thank you for your help in correcting these problems.
We used to check this app for a new daily challenge every day. For months now, all we have gotten are ones we have already solved (some we don’t even remember solving), and a few that were insanely difficult to figure out. A waste of time at this point.
Yeah its a good game and all but the things we didnt like is you have to wait to get a hint and the game is really hard Also how is there four color but you only get three.
We delete any game that forces us to watch ads. We want to choose when to watch them.
Figuring out which parts are on top is a fun and relaxing challenge, at least so far for up to 7 moves, but our first published puzzle just vanished.
Despite making a purchase, it continues to show ads. This is been a prior problem it was supposedly fixed. Buyer beware.
If we’ve already seen an ad why do we need to continue to sit there and just look at the screen for another 60 seconds? Ads like TikTok we force the ad creators to try to actually to make ads that are interesting. And other apps that are actually successful like Mario kart, call of duty or Pokmon all understand that if you make an app intended to be fun, painfully boring, its not going to be successful. This apps methods are painfully primitive and Im sick of it. Get on any of those other apps and you can find out that you can make money in fun ways that doesnt take the fun out of the game that people download because they wanted to have fun.
Loud ads play even if you have in game sound disabled.
The constant distractions with ads, but no way to outright purchase the game is irritating. Im sure the purchase of the hints helps the developers, but the ads only stay away for a brief period. One star, because there is no way to outright buy the game.
We reached out for some simple app support. Silence. Not cool. Not professional. Not worthy of any sort of positive review. Ignoring your customers speaks volumes.
We fully understand, appreciate and accept ads in a free game. What we cannot abide is when the game opens up the App Store and makes it difficult to get back to the game. Other than that phenomenal game!
Only 30 levels in and its already unplayable. The puzzle has no possible solution, and Im only given one hint. Even if we have a bunch of hints, it forces you to reset the puzzle, and then only gives you the first step. No matter how many hints you waste and ugly ads you have to sit through on mute, it still only gives you the very first step. On a puzzle where you need at least six steps and are only given four, you need more than one hint, thats just standard. Idk who designed this game but it doesnt stand out as any better than any other basic puzzle game. You hit a wall of difficulty where you just cant play anymore without extreme frustration, and then you get ads in between levels. Why would we watch ads for hints if Im forced to watch them anyway? And why would we even bother with hints if Im just gonna get blue balled and get stuck on an impossible level?
This was a great game. It once worked to buy a few hints to get rid of ads, supposedly forever, but they start playing again. Not falling for it twice. Game also cannot remember your progress after a while and its a bit annoying to go back to the dead-simple tutorial puzzles.
We love doing theses puzzles! Definitely worth the $, we spent on buying this puzzle! Doing these puzzles in our iPad, calms us down and helps us unwind for the day. Oh and those, daily free puzzles, love those and if we like one particular puzzle done by the guest, then we follow it and do more of their challenges as well, love how Kami designed as well !
We were in love with this game. Some how we cant login or retrieve the subscription we paid for! Pls fix this. We would love to continue playing.
We enjoy the designs, the colors.. Except the mono black/whites, and the terrific logical demands. Our only problem is with the app perhaps because we enjoy all the parts to this app yet havent had a Daily puzzle in days! Even when it alerts us one is there with a plus, when we hit the puzzle.. It says come back in 23 hours and 20 mins..?!?? … We have been playing this app now for over a year and it is probably our favorite of many. We need a tough puzzle thats pleasant to look at and not ridiculous to solve, yet very challenging. These are so perfect we cannot recommend them highly enough. If they could allow us to give them 10 stars, we would! And we go through puzzles all the time.. Deleting them as fast as they are recommended.. … After a year or so more.. And over 750 puzzles.. We have to say we still would give this app 100 stars… The absolute best in every way. .. Chapter 2 of review. What happened? June 2021.. Different connection, offering, and its not for the better. 8/21.. Whoa! What happened since this app clanged ? We are back hundreds of levels in puzzles and forced to redo ones we did months ago. Not good! We cannot give 5 starts if this is going to happen .. Chapter 3 of this review.. Even worse!! Jan. 2022.. Completely worse. Rarely can this app connect to our internet.. Which when check is fast up/down, and no issues, rebooted, RE downloaded app. Still.. Thus was one of our favs., now a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT.
This game is above and beyond.
This is a completely addictive game that we come back to over and over. After the iOS 15 update, there were problems with slow loading, but the developer is actively working to address those. Im running the internal beta and it is flawless. In the meantime, until the next update, there is info on the developers website that should help work around issues. (Note: at the moment, the servers are down, but they should be back soon)
