Killer Sudoku is a logical puzzle number game & brain game. To complete a puzzle, like the classic sudoku game, you can fill the grid with numbers; unlike the classic sudoku puzzle, you have to make sure that the sum of numbers in each cage (areas surrounded by the dotted lines) is equal to the number in the upper left corner of the cage.

We like Killer Sudoku as a step up from regular Sudoku. However, the frequent and overly long ads in this app have made us decide to uninstall the game.

This game is great if you have the time to finish in one sitting. If you return you are forced to look at ads for at least 2 minutes. We would be fine if there was an option to pay and go ad free.
Latest update: 2.6.0 killed the gameplay for us and makes taking notes so much more difficult the game is unplayable for us. We tried many different apps and although not perfect, this was the best until the latest update.
In some games there are several solutions, but the app considers only one of them correct.
Game has been great for a long time, but now, without us clicking anything and in the middle of our games, Ill be pulled to some random Amazon you won a prize ad on safari. It happened 5 times in the middle of a 3 minute game, so Ive now deleted it.
We love the Killer edition and cannot wait to try the others. When we downloaded this bundle we couldnt find a charge for the game but it said it was purchased. ? Also is there any way to get the number totals in the boxes in a bigger font or some way to zoom in? Im loving how you put a flashing box around the singular numbers. Thanx so much. Deb.
We enjoy the game a lot, but the last puzzle in your time attack series is always horrendous. 300 seconds to fill in 81 squares on a very difficult puzzle makes no sense. Thats less than 4 seconds per square. Then watching an ad to add one minute hardly puts a dent into your progress.
Too many ads. Very good app but wow it takes forever to finish one game with the ads.
Love the challenges that they come up with, on top of already having different difficulty levels.
Very fun to play. Always the right number of clues, no matter what level, to make it challenging yet playable.
For a bonus, youll get 10,000 puzzles to solve where assorted numbers, math symbols, and blank squares appear. At the bottom of each puzzle you get numbers and symbols left out and are disguised as game tiles. Put each tile in the correct place until all tiles are colored green with a final solving time. Wrong numbers will turn red. When the puzzle is solved, the next puzzle will adjust into activity.
We do enjoy it, but we feel like the hard games are really simple. A lot of it is given to you just in simple math in the box, like two numbers adding together. But in expert mode, we have not a clue how you would know anything. So its not getting that sweet spot where Im challenged but not frustrated.
We enjoy the game but there is a problem with the advanced notes feature. If we return to a partially completed game, the notes will not be the same as when we left. There will be numbers there that we had previously deleted. Same with getting a hint. We once made the mistake of getting one and it completely filled on all of the numbers on the notes wiping out the progress we had made. We have taken to photographing what the board looks like when we leave so we can return it to that state when we resume the game. There has to be a better way.
Game is amazing, settings are amazing, puzzles are amazing. Needs dark mode very badly.
Mostly ok. But about 5% of the daily challenges have no logical way to solve. The hint will reveal a square but there is no way to find that square via logic. Needs quality control.
Bring back the score and difficulty level.
There is no reason today to not develop a universal game that works in both landscape or portrait mode.
We be too fast to have all these adds.
We have been enjoying the game for a while. The app was easy to use and we enjoyed having the occasional challenge available. However the recent ads being played are ridiculous and inappropriate. Im looking to play sudoku not watch ads featuring explicit language, etc. We were hoping it was just a one time thing but since there is no way to restrict the ads that we could find we just deleted the app altogether.
Timed puzzles are an issue. The buttons delay, yet time keeps expiring.
Good game, but after paying for "no ads" we are still getting ads. Not as many but there are still places where you are required to watch ads. Not what we paid for.
This game shows you an ad before and after each level. Im actually fine with that as they are usually short and the game is fun. Now the game just sits in test mode which just shows you an ad for google developers. And wont ever actually play the game. Have to turn our Wi-Fi and internet off to play anymore.

Ive had the game for about 2 weeks. At first it worked great, but now every time we open the app it crashes our phone and we have to restart it. Definitely 5 starts for us if the game could open.

We love the game and have no complaints about actual gameplay; however, the app itself wreaks havoc on our phone. Anytime its open, our phone starts to freeze. Every single time. The ads are incredibly annoying. We have to sit through several ads at various times throughout a game, before every game, and after every game. $15 to remove ads is a ridiculous price to play a game thats free online with no ads. With the hassle of phone issues and a crazy number of ads, its just not worth it. There are better options out there.

Why do these sudoku games keep putting in this 3 mistakes thing. Has nothing to do with Sudoku, wish someone had a real Sudoku app.
It used to be a great game but then it started hanging up and freezing so bad we cannot use it anymore!we really hate it because it was such a good game.
We really love playing this game. Can you add an option in the settings menu for auto lock? We fall asleep playing it all the time and wake up to either a dead battery or our phone still being on, open, and hot because when the game is open it doesnt allow our phone to lock.
We like the game. We usually play before bed and we liked that we could go back to previous days in the month/year and do those puzzles too but with the update we can no longer do that.
In the daily challenge you can no longer go back to incomplete challenges and continue to play them! Please reinstate this ability.
Even doing a 4×4 puzzle the game is often slow and laggy, not able to keep up with taps. We suspect it's something to do with the loads of ads the game is trying to load, or data it's snooping in the back ground, because the game animations themselves should be almost zero load. It's like someone tried to make the slowest sudoku game.
We cannot access previous daily games since the new update? Why did you change it? Please change back so we can access past daily games.
We really enjoy this game and dont usually have problems. Recently the game has been erasing our progress on the 6 x 6 Hard. Im on level 500 and the games has began erasing our completion on the first levels. Even when we redo the levels it wont say Ive completed it still, and at first it was only levels 1-2, but now its says we havent completed levels 1-7. Its a little annoying as well as the game randomly opening the App Store repeatedly with different apps to download when we dont click on ads. Other than that its an enjoyable game.
First, great game! The hard levels are actually hard and challenging, which is perfect for waking up with our morning cup of coffee. And the ads between games are short which allows you to play on fairly quickly. 2 requests to make this a 5 star game. First please give the game a landscape orientation option. When Im traveling this would allow us to set our iPad on a tray table and enjoy the game instead of holding it in our hand all the time. Second, please please please stop accepting banner ads that have movement! We dont mind a banner ad at the bottom of our screen while we play, but lately there is a slots game youre allowing to advertise and it demo rolls the slots every 2-3 seconds. The constant movement is incredibly distracting and causes our timed games to be much slower! Please make your banner ads static images. Those 2 things and thus becomes the absolute best version of killer sudoku in the App Store.
The hints in the corner make it easier Whats the point.
Literally after every game is a 45 second ad. Then every time you do anything in the game its another ad. Just super annoying.
Not always, but frequently the app loses your game if you stop to take a phone call or look at something else. We were almost finished with the daily expert puzzle this morning that Id spent over 45 minutes on when we got a phone call. When we went back to the app we were presented with the same puzzle, totally blank. Aggravating. We certainly wasnt going to start all over again.
Along with the issues of having to play a puzzle more than once or losing your progress like is mentioned in other reviews, there is an issue where the screen freezes on a puzzle and locks your phone completely. Its always happens when Im listening to something with airpods, and the sound continues but the screen is locked and wont turn off or even let you power cycle to restart your phone. Eventually it will power cycle on its own to restart, but until then your phone is useless and you cant pause or stop the audio youre playing.
We would prefer an option to choose our own level on the daily challenge. Otherwise an interesting, challenging and enjoyable game.
If you go back to do daily challenges and hit November. It selects the day before. Makes it impossible to do all the challenges.
