Kings in the Corners – Card Game Review

Kings in the Corners is a Card/Family/Entertainment game from fishdog.net, LLC, first launched in 8th December 2012.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 2,876+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes Kings in the Corners Stand Out

Build card piles from 13 down to 1, with alternating colors. It's like the solitaire game Klondike, but in a circle. You play against 3 robot players, and the first one to empty his hand wins the game!

Seven cards are dealt to each of 4 players. On her turn, a player draws a card from the draw pile, then places alternating red and white cards on the table stacks in order. Corner stacks must count down from 13. Play continues around the table until one player empties her hand.

The deck has high-contrast cards with large numbers for better accessibility. A paid, no-ads version called Kings in the Corners Gold is also available.

This Card game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

To win more than the standard 25%, there is a lot you can do to be a substantial bigger winner.

Play this with cards and people. Glad to locate this game online. Great programming and it is free. Yeah.

This app would be really fun except you have to pay. We got it until we realized it charged us 25 dollers each months to keep the game, so we deleted it immediately they should not charge us for playing a game.

We used to love this game but the wins from the computer seemed rigged we used to win a lot more games say we play 8 games we will only win 2 out of the 8. This game is rigged and the computer has every card it needs to win its becoming the impossible to win we get losing but no winning any games out of ten is ridiculous.

This game easily passes time when Im bored, but is frustrating because the computer wins 80%of the time. There are times we dont even get to play because the computer wins so fast. We understand competition, but somehow, the AI opponents always have the cards it needs and we end up not even being able to lay a card.

Why are our opponents are able to play a higher card and Im not.

Very Relaxing game. Whenever we want to power down we play kings in the corner.

Love this game, but it freezes up constantly and have to delete then reload.

Im wondering f the deal isnt weighted in the favorite of the computer player. Ours seems to get the first move and with multiple cards with a place to play. Far too often the computer opponent finishes the game without giving the human opponent a turn.

They seemed to get all the moves while you are watching then you are getting one move at a time. We are very suspicious about this. We bet they can see and know what you have on your board. Its pretty disgusting and dishonest.

This is a great game we love to play it when we feel bored or to get practice for when we play against our family and friends. We recommend it for anyone who loves a good game of kings on the corner, and there is no bugs as far as we can see.

We enjoy playing this while watching tv since it can be fairly mindless. We recently switched to easy mode after a series of losses Im not looking for a challenge. Unfortunately, we went just back and forth with the AI opponent because they refused to play and we could not play any of our cards. So, that wasnt much fun.

We used to love playing this game, but it has changed. When you step away for even a couple of minutes, you have to start a new game. Also, if we are ahead a few games, the house will win over 10 times in a row, even without our making any mistakes. Its just not fun anymore. We feel like Im playing against a cheater. Boo for changing our favorite game.

One of our favorite games! Its a game that you can play while watching TV. It makes you think, which keeps the brain active.

Pros: beautiful graphics, good game to learn on, AI will show you basic moves if you click the light bulb Cons: the AI wins 99% of the time. Its both frustrating and discouraging. Also, there is a pass feature but no explanation or tips on how to use it. We actually tried to monopolize, and therefore win, the game by passing and holding onto cards but we still lost. Finally decided, after just two weeks, to search for a new app with better odds.

After the game starts and is then stopped, sometimes returning to the game finds the screen locked up.

Extremely easy to understand and user friendly.

We learned about this game last year and it has become one of our favorite new games to play.

This is a very fun quick game. No fees at all, not very many ads and it always has free hints for you to play and learn the game. It is also very fair in who the winner is.

Love the game , hate to stop playing trying to win.

We enjoy this game and how quickly a game can be played. Our problem is that they put the pass button too close to the cards when it is our turn. We have hit the pass button quite a few times when we did not want to. We suggest moving the button further to the right to avoid this issue.

Are times when we could win with a tuck. Ido enjoy the game.

Our favorite card game on the web . Ive played over a thousand games. Cheers.

Love the set up, and especially the lack of full screen ads. Lots of fun to play. We only with they'd let you get to start once in a while.

They dont let you start, they give you terrible cards, and you cant never win.

Esp. Love that the ads are non-obtrusive & that they aren't popping up right & left.

This game brings back so many good memories of fun times. Can't put it down. Well deserved 5 stars.

Nan Wilson introduced us to this game and this version is just like the old school American pastime! Challenging as well. Wish we could play online with all our dear friends like Nan Wilson but until then this is fantastic.

It's too hard to us and rules are not being good if you like to play card game or good at card game, try it!But if you are not good at card game, don't try it.

In real Kings in the Corners, you don't reshuffle the cards in the corners into the deck unless the deck runs out of cards. There have been too many instances when we draw the same card we just got rid of because of that. At least have an option to play with or without reshuffling.

The game is fun to play, but it cheats! The 3 other players (the program) can place cards under the existing piles. In other words, if there is a 3 down the other players could put a 4 under it. We can't do that on our turn. That is cheating! It needs to be fixed.

Each player's play is pretty much determined and we can rarely win even if we follow all of the hints. In one game, we could not make any move on 4 turns. We would not recommend this game.

This game is a great way to play cards when nobody wants to play with you. This is also a great app because sometimes on road trips you can't play card, but now you can.

We just recently started playing kings corner again and then we found this app. It's quite fun and a challenge. Thanks.

Great game. Eassy to use/play. Would be nice for the lightbulb to not flash when you are taking a while to make a move – If you see a move, make it.If not, miss it. Makes it too eassy, even on hard.

Your app continually allows bots to play in ascending order as we'll as descending, and sometimes allowed us. The flashing light is not only annoying, but is a cheat. Missing a play is part of the game.

Finally we found a game that doesn't have to be on our droid the only thing that could make this better is multiplayer.

Can't exit out of the report a problem screen no x to cancel out. But love this game is available.

Take off the automatic pass and put In-App purchase for the pro.

We introduced this game to several friends & all are now just as addicted as we are.

Love it!!! Grew up playing this mom & grandma. And here all along we thought no one new about this game!!! Brings memories.

Mindless entertainment on easy. Challenge on medium. Humbling on hard. It's a great waiting room game.

We learned this game awhile ago and love it. The version we learned did not reshuffle but we have gotten use to it. We wish that it could be played both ways.

This game we must say first is wonderful follows all the same rules that we learned before the only complaint we have is the Pass button location, we have lost several games because of accidental pressing of the pass we think it needs to be moved to the top part of the screen away from the cards in "hand".

We are not liking this game as much since the pass option was added. It needs to be moved out of the path of our finger because we keep hitting it as we slide the cards up into place. We don't want to pass.

Not as fun as the real one with cards.

Hardly ever win. Could be better.

The game won't let you end your turn until you complete all possible moves. Kind of like silly.

We have yet to win and we have played this game at least 40 times.

Gameplay is painfully slow with no way to speed it up. Would also like the ability to play with fewer players if we wanted to.
