Lander Hero is a physics based lunar landing game. It’s a story of a lone astronaut on a mission in deep space.
The mission is to navigate lunar lander through rocky caves while avoiding rotating boulders, force fields, mines, and other obstacles! Collect power-ups to keep your ship in shape and find a place to land!

Great free started game and cheap full game experience. We truly enjoyed the challenge and old school feel. It has been a while since we have been obsessed with a game and felt accomplishment by beating challenging levels. If you used to sink quarters into arcades to keep playing, then $3 for full game fun isnt a big deal.
Controls well and plays well. We like this a lot. Only thing we can complain about is that some of the menu buttons are too small. Great work overall by the developer!

We used to have this game on our old iPhone 4 and just recently got a 7+ and we remembered this game and had to download it. It’s really fun and kept us playing for hours or we could put it down and pick it up again later in the day and enjoy a quick game.

What a great game. Incredibly fun, intuitive and just downright challenging! Some levels are stinking hard as heck to master, but always rewarding and fun to play.
We accidentally found this game through AppAdvice and decided to try. We love casual games and one just can’t beat the price. So, we installed on our iPad Air and was taken back to the late 70s and early 80s. We used to play a game called Lunar Lander. It was a vector graphics game very much like this one. This is better though because there are things to knock over or blow up, you can pick up power ups and navigate elaborate caves, not to mention the graphics are so much better than the simple line images in vectors. There are also timed trials that really make you learn to control the lander. Control is the secret to success in this game. The dev says in the game that this game makes no profit, that it’s a labor of love. We thank you for sharing this with us. It will make us happy for as many hours as you put into writing it, and we know that must’ve been many, many hours.
This app is advertised as being free right now. It’s not. After five screens, they want $1.99 to continue. If this is supposed to be a promotion, it isn’t working. Deleted!

Great job. Great physics. Music is mesmerizing. Fun to play. Final levels are maddening. Menu words are hard to select but game play is superb.

This is the best lander game we’ve ever played!
We got to thinking about the old windows 3.1 lander game a few days ago and downloaded this. Great, classic, and super addicting. Tricky but not frustrating. Still stuck on the last level, though…
It’s a very fun! I’d say it should be more around the 99 cent or maaaayby 1.99. Cent range. This might be just because we’ve been spoiled by stellar cheap games in the past. Overall extremely addicting, challenging but not too difficult. And quite a bit of depth!
Cool sound effects, nice graphics. If you have ever tried flying one of those small radio controlled helicopters, it is reminiscent of that.
Still miss the old lunar lander game.

We’ve met the requirements for achievements but they won’t be unlocked, we play games until we get all the achievements or at least all within reach to get the points. This hasn’t been updated in a year and we hope they’ll get to it soon.
Screen is black in all iPad orientations except one horizontal, there is a black frame rotating seen as you rotate the ipad3. Once we see the display, no menu options work… Touch control isn’t there. Was four stars ipad2, would be 5 stars with icade support. Perfect game for icade! Will update this once fixed. Four stars or five stars with icade control.
Very very fun game we first noticed it on touch arcade and it was worth the wait our friends… It’s not just a lander game u have physics puzzles and other missions to preform which makes this the best lander app out there… That’s besides the great very polished graphics and the perfect sound effects and how the space music fits this game perfect… Well done polygon. And this developer spent a long time making this game and the price isn’t bad at all..$2.99 for a well polished HD game……. Look at some horrible chillingo games that have recently been put out for iPad we wouldn’t play them for free. Lol that’s not a joke what happened to chillingo. They were one of or the best game makers out there now they just publish there name on a game that’s they didn’t even make. Unlike polygon this game made by them for us.
Virtual buttons do not work for this type of game. You need tilt control and tap to thrust. We cannot tell if our thumb is on a button and find myself crashing into walls a lot.
This is a really good game. It seems to incorporate enough new mechanics to keep it intriguing. The HUD displayed on the bottom of the screen needs points displayed, such as where is the final landing zone, and possibly all of the stars? We have wasted fuel searching and failed because we couldn’t find the landing zone; with %100 stars.
