Legacy 2 – The Ancient Curse Reviews

We very much so enjoyed this game. The varied puzzles were great and kept us enthralled until the end. We also enjoyed the option of different endings. We look forward to more games like this one! Thank you!!

While we enjoyed the first Legacy game, it was not quite as challenging as this one. Plus the graphics are better. There are some tricky ways of interpreting clues and one really stopped us in our tracks. David, the games creator, is very helpful if you experience a bug or just cant figure it out. Dont hesitate to play this game but do play the first one as well. Its all connected and the puzzles would be much harder without that background and training mission. Thank you for a great game David. Looking forward to starting number three.

This game is even better than Legacy 3. Lots of puzzles, good story, and just fun to play. Thank you.

For our aging eyes, the rooms are still a bit dark. One scene we got frustrated was building the staircase – the wait between placement of each block was too long, especially if one has to repeat the build a few times before getting it right. Overall though, great challenging puzzles and good story. Loved the map, which is what we felt was missing from the first Legacy. Looking forward to #3.

Theres a lot going on in this game and we seemed to run around a lot. We did take notes which helped, but there are so many rooms that we stayed lost :) Not all of the clues are clear – at least on an iPhone – but we really enjoyed it and will play the alternate ending & then probably play the whole thing again. At first, we kept being distracted by multiculturalism of the clues, but we finally just went with it. Its a beautiful game and well worth it at twice the price. We particularly liked watching our rooms get check-marked. Nice touch, that! After playing, replaying and playing again, we just love this game more and more. Would pay more just to keep the developer coming out with more games.

Enjoyed the game. A few frustrating moments due to maneuvering capabilities but overall a great game. Would really like to see more of these games along this line as well as those like The Room series. Prefer the IOS format as its mobile via iPhone or iPad. We enjoy the challenge of the puzzles. Great graphics & storyline. Highly recommend for the price. Its well worth it.

It was a bit challenging but enjoyed it all the same. It was head and shoulders above the first Legacy game and the graphics were great. Looking forward to Legacy 3 cant wait till 4 comes out.

We absolutely love these games. We are a teacher and after a hard day, we love coming home to these in the evening. Please make more!!!

Really enjoyed this game! Im 70+ years and these type of games help keep our mind sharp,,

Love Point & Click Adventure Games and this was a top notch game. Wish more games of this caliber were available.. We commend you, David. Thank-you for the excellent entertainment. Worth every penny.

This is right up there with The Room. We’ve been looking for a game that can rival The Room in graphics and puzzles and this is it! We like it even more because the puzzles are solvable without getting exasperated. So worth the money!

Room developers must be jealous! Outstanding game.

Loved the concept and design. Graphics were excellent and puzzles were challenging enough to make solving them fun and satisfying. Please make more.

Such a beautiful game! The puzzles are challenging but not insurmountable. We bought Legacy Three and had a glitch so we bought this one to play while we wait for our email answer. You make gorgeous games, keep it up!

Kept us fascinated and intrigued with puzzles and story line. Perspective actually made us woozy at times! Very imaginative and sometimes very challenging. Some of the lighting was a bit dark for us, but the overall ambience was worth the extra scrutiny. Great fun! Im looking forward to Legacy 3!

Played tandem with a partner! Really fun.

We’ve done a lot if these puzzle games, and this is really one of the best. Its worth going through the first one to get to this. Highly recommend!

Im a huge fan of puzzle games, having discovered Myst many years ago. This one is very well done… Puzzles vary in difficulty… Some clues are easy to miss, leading to a feeling of being stuck, but perseverance and patience pays off. Graphics are beautiful, but we would have liked a little more variety in the sound track. Well worth the cost!

This game was engaging and we found myself wanting more.

Thank you for making this available, David. We are the weakest at such games, but thanks to a dedicated friend, we completed this amazing puzzle adventure in 15 hours while streaming a bit each weekend with him guiding us through The visual beauty and relaxing ambient music drew us in. Our friend took us through the maze of challenges and we are grateful for both of you for this wonderful experiences Now, on to Legacy 3.

One of the best puzzle games we played due to the variety of puzzles, storyline and graphics.

Really enjoyed playing this and appreciated the diversity of the puzzles. Was longer than we expected–about 7 hours for us. Worth every penny of the very reasonable price! We will happily buy more of the same from David.

Well done! We liked the fact that there was a human element – brother and sister. Only complaint that the wire was a bit stretched. We could have used the wire cutters in the room with the electrical short. Loved the anti gravity parts to the puzzles.

Great game! We were looking for a new title along the lines of Myst and Riven (two of our old favorites from years back) and found Legacy in the App Store. That one was fun (and free) and a good intro to Legacy II. The gameplay is much improved in this title. The puzzles and challenges are tough enough to cause one to ponder on them for awhile, without being so obtuse as to make them unsolvable without cheating. Looking forward to the next installment!

Challenging and fun, definitely worth it!

Wonderful game, especially for fans of games such as The Room or House of Da Vinci :)

Well thought out and designed. We highly recommend it.

We absolutely loved this game. Its challenging but we did get stuck a few times and had to go through rooms multiple times until we figured it out. Once we did an internet search to figure out how to proceed, and Im glad we did because we were really stuck. The price was reasonable for the amount of fun we had. Im looking forward to playing the next game!

Just finished this wonderfully executed game! Its many, many puzzles are challenging but great fun! It has so many rooms with multiple things to do in almost all of them that we had trouble keeping them straight in our mind… :D… Even with the nicely done map of the tomb!!! WHEW! Graphics were well done and the story line was fine. Give this a tryits GREAT!

We were shocked how awesome this game was for the price. We have payed way more for other games that are not even 1/4 as good as this one was.

The first Legacy game was fun and had good puzzles, but the implementation was, to be polite, a bit wonky- still, a good first effort and certainly worth playing. This second installment, however, is nothing short of an exponential leap forward in every respect. We’ve never seen such an extraordinary learning curve as this from one game to the next from any other dev. As a personal note, David, you are to be congratulated for upping your game to such a high level so quickly. A few of the mechanics (such as the camera swooshing sound) are obviously influenced by the Room series, but this game stands entirely on its own as a benchmark adventure to which other puzzlers should try to measure up. The three-dimensionality was immersive; the panning was smooth; navigation felt real; puzzles were interestingly fun, challenging, and diverse; objects were cleverly used; and the story/atmosphere was engaging. The only things we would have changed would have been, perhaps, different music and the ability to zoom back out of an area, but thats really just kinda nitpicking. As far as Im concerned, this is absolutely one of the best games of its kind that we’ve played (and we’ve played quite a few). We are truly looking forward to the third one… Heck, we might even buy it now. Please keep making more great games, David.

We love these kind of games and this one is Brilliant! We love your idea of the warp spots. The story was inventive and worth playing till the end to see what happens. The puzzles are made to solve with a little thought. We had a lot of ah ha and yeah we got it moments. This game left us satisfied not saying " that’s it?" Keep up the great work time and effort. It’s a superb game we wouldn’t change a thing.

We could barely put it down. Great challenges – great variety of puzzles! Ease of movement was at times an issue – tapping in just the right place made a difference, but other than than, great graphics, story and layout! Thanks!!

Is really addictive we been hooked. Is so amazing and fun.

Great game, super challenging and sometimes a real head scratcher, but all in all it was very enjoyable. If youre looking for a serious challenge, this ones for you.

Fantastic and inexpensive game. No ads or crashes. Great puzzles. Neat storyline.

We spend two days doing almost nothing but playing. Loved it. Great graphics, and great puzzles!!

We love playing this, but the thing that got us aggravated was it was hard to navigate through. You usually had to wander around and go through several rooms aimlessly, until you stumbled into to where you needed to go. OR, as we did several times; we found a walkthrough site to help us with it. We are going to try Lagacy 3 and hopefully we can manage that one. Thanks for the game anyway.

Fun and not frustratingly difficult, patience and observation is the key.

We have to say this is one of our favorite games played so far. Great job, David!

Really enjoyed playing this! Great for the brain. Fun figuring out next step and the jumping from room to room. Cant wait to do another!

Tons of great puzzles. Has some real aha moments. Strongly recommend for those who like this genre.

Th second game in this series is even better than the first. The puzzles are difficult, but not impossible. The storyline is creative and the graphics and controls are top-notch. If you like puzzle-based games, buying any game in the Legacy series is a no-brainer.

Really enjoyed this! Amazed at how much more advanced it is compared to Legacy 1. Cant wait to start Number 3. Got stuck a few times for a couple of weeks but managed to power through it. REALLY liked the inversion trick!

Just a wonderful game 2 from this very talented developer. Great graphics and plenty of thought provoking puzzles. Loved this installment and will head to game 3. Thank you David Adrian.

We really enjoyed this game. It was challenging and fun.

Like this game quite a bit. I’d really give it 4.5 stars if we could but it was quite worthwhile–one of our top point-and-click adventure games. Love the improvements from the first game. Good story line, continued from the first but more fleshed out. Navigation is so much better, though it did get annoying in some cases where it was harder to find the right spot to click. You also can’t exactly walk around "freely." You go where the click takes you and can look around but only move to certain spots. That sometimes made it hard to get a good view of some puzzles and other things, though it helped if you backed away and came back in again. You could then sometimes get a better orientation. Once again, generally good puzzles that are generally logical, though we did get tired of having a couple of puzzles from the beginning that you couldn’t solve until the end. We kept thinking I’d missed something and spent some extra time and worry trying to figure out what we might have missed. Love the anti-grav/upside down aspect that was thrown in late in the game. The game has good length, much better than the first one. The graphics in this game are also much better than the first and pretty nice, too. We were thankful the dev incorporated a map into this game; in a game of this length it is a requirement these days, but we also really liked the setting where you could tell if you’d found/solved everything in a given space. That is really helpful. The addition of a camera was good, too–at least we don’t think there was a camera in the first one–but it would be nice to be able to take a pic of something you want, too, not just what the game takes automatically. The one thing I’d really like to see is a better way to figure out what puzzle was in which room. You can waste a lot of time trying to remember/find where to go with your latest artifact/tool. Unfortunately that is a problem in every point-n-click we’ve played. Looking forward to playing Legacy 3 and any others the dev comes out with.
