What Makes Legends of Runeterra Stand Out

A LEAGUE OF LEGENDS™ ROGUELITE ADVENTURE
Runeterra calls! Choose your champion and pick your path to power: a single-player roguelite romp through the world of League of Legends and Arcane, or a ranked card battler where strategy reigns supreme. Unlock and level up dozens of characters in a hand-crafted love letter to fans of hero collectors and card games alike.

THE STORY SO FAR
From the back alleys of Zaun to celestial Mt. Targon, forces small and large threaten to forever shift the balance of power—if not unravel the world itself! Star-forging dragon Aurelion Sol plots his cataclysmic revenge, while Lissandra, an even greater menace, lurks in the frozen north.

Only champions of Runeterra can follow the path that has been set—alone or as one—with YOU at the helm.

CHOOSE YOUR CHAMPION
Play as Jinx, Warwick, Caitlyn, Vi, Ambessa, or any of a growing cast of 65+ champions. The many legends of League are yours to collect, evolve, and master as you traverse the map of Runeterra.

Each champion brings unique, awe-inspiring powers and loyal followers to the fray. Whether you freeze your opponents where they stand (Ashe), plant fungal surprises for sneaky victories (Teemo), build an elaborate combo engine for a spectacular finish (Heimerdinger), no two champions play the same.

ADAPT & EVOLVE
Every run is a canvas for your creativity, offering new cards, powers, and relics to augment your strategy and topple menacing foes. But choose wisely! Challenges increase in difficulty over the course of a run, and from one World Adventure to the next.

Each champion can be upgraded with Star Powers—permanent augments you can unlock between runs. Completing a champion’s Constellation yields immense power—and all new strategies—for you to command.

TOPPLE MIGHTY FOES
Test your mettle against iconic villains in World Adventures and Weekly Nightmares that set the stage for your spectacular displays of strategy and skill.

Beating the odds against the likes of Lissandra and Aurelion Sol will take experimentation, ingenuity, and maybe a touch of luck. Of course, the tougher the opponent, the sweeter the victory—and the richer the rewards!

UNCOVER NEW LEGENDS
Delve into the deep lore and rich, ever-expanding universe treasured by players of League of Legends and fans of the Emmy-winning series Arcane. With exclusive characters, story-driven adventures, breathtaking card art, and a staggering cast of new and familiar faces, there’s no better way to experience the breadth and depth of Runeterra.

This Strategy game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

One of the most engrossing games we have ever played. We have Been playing for years and never get bored or lose interest. They continually evolve the game and do not require big $$$ to compete.

We have no problem with Path of Champions existing, or even that it gets more updates than regular pvp. However, now you are making champions specifically for it that we will never be able to use in anything else, and it completely shifts the focus of the game from competitive gameplay to a more laidback strategy solving game. We loved path of champions when it came out we really did but we just cannot keep playing it for so long it is exhausting. This used to be our favorite game to play but now we dont feel like we have any reason to play it anymore. We understand this probably happened because PoC was making more money than PvP but we dont know if its worth it to lose your player base chasing money like this.

Visually stunning but the gameplay needs more clarification.

Until the Spirit Blossom update brought on unannounced drop rate nerfs and price increases as part of an overhaul to the currency and upgrade system. This game used to be a free to play friendly low-budget gem, but now theyre only interested in spearing whales. If youre looking for a new game, we suggest you look elsewhere.

BEST FREE TO PLAY CARD GAME, do u like arcane or league lore but dont ever wanna actually play league? Dude they made this game for u . This is our fav card battler and we wish it got more love. U can play path of champs or pvp, the cosmetics are cute but theres no play to win. Enjoy lads.

When the finances dont work we understand moving PvP to life support, but glad there is at least still rotation, ranked ladder and balanced play. Ive tried the PvE and just cant be interested in it, still jam ranked PvP all the time and since Im a hopeless optimist Im still waiting for new champs to enter the lineup, even if its just one per rotation.

Single player and multiplayer are both fun. No bugs in the app. Ive played on PC and on the phone it works the same.

Just tried to buy Demacia nova shards so we could level up our Lux illuminated. The shop the proceeded to load for 30 seconds and the refreshed the entire shop. Just waisted $10 on your game just to be scammed out of it.

We just want to say that we love this game!!!!!! The graphics are amazing and keep us totally immersed. Thank you to the creators.

If its free what am we being charged for? Cant download.

We hope more animations and skins come out again. We love those and love getting them. They are sooooooo coooooool. We love the content direction and hope they can continue to shape it into an amazing game. We hope we can get an ambessa and Warwick level up animation eventually too.

After all these years we still am getting tons of enjoyment from each match. The visuals are great and the gameplay is just very well crafted.

This is by far the best truly free to play card game, both for pve and pvp. Y not try it? Thanks to the devs for constantly updating and adding to the game.

Its been the same champions in ranked play forever. We dont know if everyone has checked out in the company or what, but could you at least change the champions for ranked play.

Ive been playing Lor probably the first year it came out. And since then, it has come a long way. You can tell the team really cares about the game despite the obstacles in recent changes, the game has went through.

When pvp was being updated it was the best card game out and the game we played the most , now its stagnant and as much as we enjoy path of champions, it always felt like a way to practice for pvp rather than the main focus, now we dont really see the point in skins or battle passes, we play way less often and we miss playing with our friends :(.

Even on a 16 pro max, the game kept freezing and having to be restarted. Couldnt even finish the tutorial without it crashing.

We were a long time Hearthstone player, but dropped off years ago because it felt like a never ending cash grab while chasing the latest meta. Legends of Runeterra is completely different. The focus on PVE has made it so fun to play, especially since we can pick it up or put it down anytime. We dont know what PvP is like since Ive never tried it. Thats how much fun Im having with the single player campaign. Also, everyone raving about the graphics and music are spot on. They are delicious! Riot takes lore seriously, so it feels great to play such a high quality game. Five stars.

PLEASE widen the roster for path of champions it should be available for every champ otherwise why even have those champs! No other way to truly know a champion and their deck unless they can play and nobody really plays past path of champions so please add irelia PLEASE! Im begging.

Great game overall and honestly very casual and visually stunning. BUT we cant do any other mission because its requiring us to finish a 2.5 stars world when there is none available! We were wondering why we cant go further!! Im not sure if thats behind a paywall or a bug but please fix this. Im not paying for a single grind card game. Online is already dead.

After ignoring it all our life, we got into the League of Legends universe after watching and loving S1 of Arcane. Ill give it to Riot, they know how to make a colorful and fun universe. Legends of Runeterra is an incredibly addictive card game chockful of the Champions you know and the NPCs and phenomena and creatures you dont. This game is a great casual introduction to familiarizing yourself with the characters and the world through the venue of a card game. We were genuinely surprised how much lore, art, and worldbuilding League had. The flavor texts are a treat to read, the voice acting is fun, there are so many different metas, and the huge cast of characters and region aesthetics means youll come out with at least one or two favorites to play with. Im very partial to Zaun and Targon, with our favorite champions being Jinx and Bard. This is the only League property Im ever going to play because it satisfies our desire for a fun, addictive card game with a whole expansive and creative world underpinning the whole operation.

Im a new player and loving it so far we played marverl snap for 4 years and wow this is an amazing game.

Its a pretty game but too involved with a lot to learn to play. Probably really nice if you have lots of time to kill on it. Im not that serious of a gamer.

Still wont work with our iPad mini. Hasnt functioned since October 2023 despite numerous updates. Love the game but the support is trash. There are tons of reviews about the game not working on tablets for quite some time now.

Amazing Digital Card Game tied to an amazing universe. Not only do the aesthetics look the best out of any card game, it is really easy to pick up and learn with a tutorial called Challenges. Not only does it cater to PvP players that want to build meta decks or enjoy their own homebrew, but it has a free PvE game mode called Path of Champions for total newbies or someone that just wants a casual gaming experience that is very fun and has a rouge-like aspect to the deck you choose. Very free to play too. So much is free with the gameplay and consistent updates to want to spend all your money to support this game. Still hoping for a dragon board and/or to to try and get the 2023 worlds elder dragon egg card-back in our emporium <3.

We load the game up, it runs updates, we get to the next screen but nothing displays except the border for the icons on the left, and the notification counter in the top right. Nothing else is visible and we cant click on anything. Works fine on iPhone, only having this problem on iPad.

Its a lot of fun once you find your favorite champions to use, until you have to do the same mission 8 times in a row eventually meaning you have to use champions you hate. It takes away from the originality feeling.

PvP has lost support for the forseeable future but PvE has gotten a lot of focus and they are doing a great job. If you liked Hearthstone Dungeon Run this is for you While you can pay to win (faster), it is really not necessary at all to pay a dime to clear all of the end stage content with a variety of champs.

Love your game, but it will not retain players or even draw in new players if there isnt an in-game currency. That is the main thing this game lacks to beat every other game. Quit being greedy and support this game before it is lost. We hope someone powerful enough within the company sees this if they love this game or it will turn into another Paragon from Epic Games.

We think this game is quite fun, but the main issue we have with it is there really isnt a community for it any more.

Was absolutely not having any shred of fun playing against hyper-aggressive strategies in Path of Champions. This is truly an infuriating game when you have no tools. The variance between champion quality is an issue for some adventures.

We never thought that we would say a card game was better than magic the gathering. Ive played magic since we were in grade school and we were a diehard fan until somebody.. We had never played League of Legends.. We thought that it was a strange concept, but we thought that the digital changed to a card game was an interesting idea. Whoever they got to design and update and create and brief life into this universe should be awarded a lot of morals because this game is truly 100% fantastic. Side-by-side with marvel snap, this is also the most generous platform for free users Ive ever. Yes Ive spent money on this game, but not a lot and we really didnt have to. We just felt guilty for not rewarding. These people who did such an amazing job on their craft. Play. Play. Play.

This game is one of the most free to play card games to exist, if you like hearthstone solo adventures the path to champions section is the place for you. Small player base can make ranked and PvP modes stale as you will encounter the same players multiple times in a session. We have played off and on for years, and we still have not maxed out our account. Near endless progression and replay ability.

So much time spent getting the direction right.

We think if a company wants to make money it should make fixing the p2p bug a priority. Path of Campions Cosmic Blessing x10 being broken for as long as it has right after paying for them is amazing.

We really enjoyed this game but need to be more speed.

We come back to lor once or twice a year and usually drop $20/yr on battle pass or whatever. The game is solid and we only open with our spending because this game hands down gives you the most bang for your buck. $8 for the seasons battle pass is always a massive power boost. As for gameplay – the solo mode is fun and rewarding and feels super chill. Lots of gimmicks to learn but it introduces you to them all in the perfect ways and at the perfect pace. Can literally pick up and have a last for the first hour, or come back after 100 hours and a 1 year break and still have exactly the same amount of fun. Hope this game stays around forever.

This is the best online card game out there. Unfortunate that the funding for it got pulled. It was leagues better than all the rest. Oh well. Sometimes thats the case.

Good game 5 star if it can be supported in vision pro.

Regresen las animaciones de level up y el pvp llevo jugando desde que sali, y lo nico que us gusta es jugar contra otros jugadores , no pido que metan torneos pero por favor un poco de atencin al pvp.

This game was a fantastic game but now u can found the designer become lazy and go through the motions.

We didnt bother with the PvP aspect. Only Path of Champions. Its really fun but felt really grindy. The battle pass is nice to help with that; but still pushes for the mobile gacha. Guess we fell for it we want more champions.

Every time theres a change to what is allowed in standard eternal ranked goes away for a few months. We somewhat see the reasoning of wanting to incentivize players to play the more balanced gamemode when it comes to ranked, but FOR THE LOVE OF ** LET ME EXPERIMENT WITH THE SHINY NEW CARDS WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS! Beyond that great game.

We have been playing this game for 5+ years. Multiplayer was a needed feature as some people dont enjoy path of the champions as much as you promote it. The developers have abandoned multiplayer and adding new cards to it. It seems they just want to focus on POC, which is fine for some. For people who enjoy the multiplayer card games, this game is very good, until you unlock everything. Since they arent adding anything new to multiplayer, its very stale and boring going against the exact same meta decks everytime and being forced to play those decks because yall gave up on multiplayer. Hopefully they will continue multiplayer at some point, but for right now this is a pve story based game. Pretty disappointing, but its riot so what can you expect.

Ive played this off and on since launch and always come back to it. It may be hard to grasp as a newcomer to this type of game, but a little patience and tenacity will get you and keep you hooked.

One of the best adventure, games available.

The game is good as TCGs go and the interactions are a nice touch Pleas bring back the multiplayer.

Why do we need a guardian to play.

We have been playing card games since we were 6 years old and this is everything we have ever wanted in a card game and more! It isnt pay-to-win and the game generously gives you a lot of cards to catch up on your collection. 10/10 Highly recommend this game. Play it for 2-3 hours daily.

This game is very in-depth. We have a difficulty playing most phone games because they arent intellectually stimulating enough. The only other phone game that Ive enjoyed playing for a prolonged period of time is the elder scrolls card game. As much as we love that game this game far surpasses it. There is a pretty steep learning curve because timing is everything in this game, but they do a good job of rewarding you for investing the time. It isnt a game where you can really pay to play, even though there are things you can purchase in game. They dont allow you to buy the best cards for cheap. That being said there are plenty of ways to earn cards through playing the quest in the game. The path of champions feature really adds a lot more longevity to this game because it allows you to try out all the different regions cards and play styles as well as get a taste of what their champions are like. The visuals the gameplay and the champion cards to us or what really sell this game even though its completely free to download. We highly recommend it to people who enjoy strategic card games. It will keep you engaged, and there are no annoying ads. Ive been playing it for about a week now and Ive been obsessed we confess.
