The team has polished and tweaked this game to near perfection. We play it quite often, and the time invested vs rewards gained is fair. The graphics and sound are top notch, and the challenge feels just right. Kudos to the team for fixing any bugs that may surface very quickly. Excellent job you guys. Keep the hits coming.

The power ups do not stack whatsoever. Stage 2 of red could make the missiles homing or for blue, it can add more lasers. There should also be a purple one thats a homing laser, kind of like in The Binding of Isaac when you get brimstone and spoon bender.
This is basically Raiden X. Beautiful. Indeed.
This game is very fun to play, but Im sick and tired for the past couple of years not being able to keep in app purchases that we have made in this game. Keep your hard earned money and just grind out the unlocks, thats the only way Ive kept the ones that we do have. Unethical business practices by this company.
Every time you upgrade your phone, you lose all of the fighters/credits you purchase. They will not restore what you bought.
At least give people the level option of easy to hard, and manual bombing. Lightning 1 at least had better options and more possible to be able to get through levels. Every level seems to start on extreme hard level.
This used to be one of the best f2p shmups on the App Store until the latest update. Now it requires an always on connection. No more playing while waiting for a connecting flight or a boring car ride. It also deleted our previous progress so we lost ALL of the ships we bought as well as their upgrades. And this isn't the first time that has happened. We warn anyone that downloads this: do NOT spend ANY real $$ as the developer doesn't care about its players' data being wiped. We are fortunate that we haven't spent one penny on this game & you shouldn't as well. It really is sad though as the gameplay is pretty good.

We cant unlock challenge stages in rank:gold we beat all of other stages in bronze and silver but still cant unlock challenge stage in gold.we emailed them but still didnt get any help yet.
All of our data gone and we had the best ships. Not worth starting over if this is going to happen again for the third time. Delete now if you are smart.
Latest update as of Feb 2018 lost our saved game that we put countless hours into. Not worth starting over….delete.
Love this game . We play it everyday, it's by far the best raiden type shooter to download. Although the new update has it now where you have to buy and upgrade previous ships to level up one. Why would you put this in the game? It's hard enough grinding for coins.

The app preview screen shots make it look like the app is formatted for new iPhones but the app itself is not. When is this going to happen.

This was one of our favorite games now we cant even play it no more. It just kicks us out.
This game is so awesome & well made! Its visually beautiful. The music is top notch. The ships are cool & unique. Responsive controls. Plus, it can be very challenging, which makes it rewarding when you accomplish a difficult level. You can definitely tell that the creators put a lot of effort into making this. Most importantly, its just so much fun. Its crazy how its free. Its easily worth the money Ive spent on gems. We highly recommend this game.
This is a decent shooter on the surface but the developer has ruined it with the last couple updates-first they removed the daily login bonuses and this last update added Game Center, which is cool except for what they do not tell you-now it requires internet to play. It did not before, meaning we can no longer play it anytime we want on our iPod. Deleted for good and no longer would recommend this.
Love the game and still one of the better shmup bullet-hell titles out there. We had all the craft unlocked and upgraded and loved playing the Crimson fighter…saving the Lightning Weapon pick-up until the boss battle started…activate Super and just melt the boss's health meter into nothingness. That was how the Crimson craft operated or, rather, how the Lightning Weapon + Super attack operated on the Crimson…months ago. Now, for some reason, when we activate the Super with Lightning Weapon on the Crimson, there is NO noticeable damage boost occurring_at_all. Apparently it was..too powerful? We don't know…we don't think so, certainly when facing the latter stage bosses…apparently this has been patched and the developer FAILED to let anyone know about this in the patch notes. (What, ya think someone wouldn't notice?) If you're going to nerf something, here's a pro-tip, be open to your target audience about it. That is just a very shady stunt to pull. We would have loved to have given this game 5 stars. We still want to…but being a developer, ourselves, and knowing that this type of deviant behavior IS (deviant) responsible for ruing a fan base and a game…and a poisonous method of software support. As of late, our save file and all our progress is just, magically, gone. Apparently the developer now expects us what, spend more of our money to buy back what we already had? Not consumer friendly. No honesty. No trust. 2 stars.
Can you put stage 8 please lf2 we ben for years.
We love the game but we can't give it 5 stars for 1 issue,our save file is deleted pretty much every month,which is bad enough until you add in the fact that we spent 40$ on credits on our first save,before we learned the issue,we're not going to ask for a refund or anything because there is no proof,but could you fix this please?Other than that,this is one of our favorite games to play on the go and it deserves a sequel,preferably on Steam as well as mobile.
We lost all our progress as we said in another review but we loaded the app again to get it back but we did not have to when we started our progress was back.
Good game, wish you could play it offline also.
So we play a lot of Shumps, on console our arcade and on iPhone and this game is legit yes theres in app purchases but nothing over the top and still very playable without spending a lot of money if at all. If you like shooters dont let this one pass you buy well worth a try and more. Cant wait for a sequel. Hats off to the developers.
… Why do it need to stop here? Hopefully more ships to explore with, more stages, events, etc. Im still not deleting this app coz Im still hoping that there would be a great update.
Its a great fun game but, we wish they extended it more to make it more fun. Id recommend at least 24-31 fighters so you can be more determined to play more often. (Make the fighters pleasing!)Id also much rather their be 17 levels to play on along with 2-3 more difficulties. And Im not really a big fan of the fact that your shields are automatically used when you get shot at. We get that it helps you move on levels with no problem but we hate having 6 or 7shields and afterwards have 2 when we didnt even mean to use the shields. Just a little more tweaks, and this game will be much more fun.
We are very infuriated by the free continue after death situation. Forty minutes into the game as our death was inevitable. We decided to free continue with watching an ad. Little did we know the there was no closing button for the ad as we were force to close our iPad. Here we thought the game was going to save our earned coins. A surprise hits us right on the face as our 30k gold we played to earn was not there. We dont mind the ads as long as the game functions properly. Its mess up as we played for so long and not get our reward.
This is basically just a clone of Dodonpachi Resurrection; and the entire series.
Every week or two, all of our progress is reset. Our currency, the ships we have unlocked, and the levels we have unlocked. This has happened many times while using iOS 9, 10, and 11. This is absolutely ridiculous. Why wont you fix this.
The game is fantastic! We spent three dollars to mark the full version when we encountered an error linking our accounts and tried to reset it there was no way to restore our purchases. Ive contacted the dev 3 times through the in app message and have received no response in over 2 weeks. This is not how to treat a paying customers. Play the game, but be cautious with in-app purchases.
Love to play the game in our spare time it's fun cause you can actually dodge the shots and upgrade your ships.

One of the best games we have; but there is no more daily log in bonus like it used to have, and we bought one of the ships and the next day we went in to play and everything restarted. Please fix.

We've downloaded more bullet hell games than we can count but this is the one that beats all the rest. Downloaded and played it years ago, got a new phone recently, downloaded it again, and was so happy to see our data was saved. 5 of our ships were still there. Now that we're much better at the game we're on a space quest to get all the ships! This never gets old and the music!! FANTASTIC!! Love this Game.
This is a great Shmup! Good bullet patterns, great fighter designs. The evolution cost is about right, though buying new fighters seems a little steep. Ah, we'll probably play enough to buy them anyway.
This is definitely one of the best app game to date. Please release more jets with different weapons.
First: it's free. Second: no, it's not pay-to-win, either. Some complain about how difficult it is to get coins for upgrades/ships. We say they need to get better at the game (or shmups in general). Our best runs have netted us well over 100k coins. No magnets or revives, only coin-bought power ups. Also, the starter fighter is actually one of the better ones due to its insanely powerful homing weapon. Later fighters are more interesting, but are sometimes harder to use as well. Ignore the damage stat, as we've found it quite meaningless so far.
Colorful graphics make it a blast to play.
This game is great 9.5/10. We would easily give it a 11/10, but we suddenly lost all our ships and the items that we actually spent real money on. We never do that unless the game is really special, so when it all vanished we felt betrayed. We got it back, but we were pretty peeved about it. Make sure that that never happens in lightening fighter 3 and you'll get more smiles and cash from us. Btw where is the first lightening fighter.
This game is perfect in every aspect! The music is AAA, the gameplay is great, and there are a TON of ships to unlock, each with their own unique arsenal of weapons! (11 ships with 3 weapons each=33 weapons total or 66 if you count super weapons) Oh yeah, there is a thing called super attack and it massively buffs the weapon you are currently using! This works on EVERY weapon! Imagine how much work went into that! The weapons in this game are probably the coolest we've ever seen in a shooter as they are very unique and have their own different style of play. An example would be the Thunderbolt's first weapon as it is a constant beam that can be moved like a whip! Amazing to think how that was created! Seriously you just can't go wrong with this game! Don't know if that data loss problem is real, we haven't experienced it yet, and strongly wish we don't. Anyway, this game is insanely fun and it should be an insta-buy for anyone! Best of all… IT'S FREE! Update: we lost all of our progress as well! We spent about $5 on in-game coins, and had a few unlocks ships. Now they're just GONE! Update: we contacted support and they gave us back all of our ships and items and even gave us 100 gems as an apology.
This was exactly what we wanted been searching for a game like this for a yr or so now…not that we put that much work into but this find has made those few free minutes here and there the best spent. The stages build and offer more challenge w/ everyone unlocked.
We love this game. We used to play this game when it first came out in arcades. It's fast pace and it makes you think fast about your next moves. Send updates when possible.
