Community Insight:

Great game but would like and option to battle friends or cross train.

Ive been playing this game for years and it keeps getting better and better.

Great game with great creativity.

This game is fun, too bad that arenas are essentially pay to win scummy garbage. You get around 2-3 wins in and then its just some schmuck with a 24 damage 26 defense card when youre about 5 days into the game. You NEED to put money into this dumpsterfire of an app just to break even in arenas. Even after culling our deck the best we could we cant get past 8 stars. Its complete and total trash and we recommend avoiding arenas like the plague unless you want to have your teeth kicked down your throat everytime. Its worse when you play the normal levels and theyre almost TOO easy. This game is fun but its only fun if you spend money on it like every other crappy big name mobile game. And for the developer saying that theyre trying to make the game better; everyone playing knows you barely care, you just want the money you scummy bunch of mud-eating worms. Youve been giving the same cookie cutter response for over a year and if it hasnt changed since then, we think thats a huge sign.

The game would be a lot better if we can make combinations without doing the research. Or was at least given an idea of whether or not a card in our deck has the ability to combine.

We absolutely love this game. Its simple, yet strategic at higher ranks! Our only note: there should be more of a reward for hitting level 100. 10 gems seems insignificant for such a feat. It would be nice to have something for people below level 100 to shoot for and reward them for playing the game enough to reach the level cap. Other than that, favorite game on our phone at the moment.

We love this game so much but the old version had a way to share a code with a friend and battle each other. The new version doesnt have that which is kinda lame cause we have other friends who play it. We also think the arena should start you on Anna when you unlock it, the way it used to. Now you just start on a random event in the cycle and its way more discouraging in the beginning because you literally cant beat them as a new player. Overall though love this game.

Game is great. Enchanter is the way to go.

We have reviewed this app about 3 times now, and we are very happy to say that the feedback we gave has been implemented every time. The game is now very free to play friendly, and it is easier to progress through the game. There have been some excellent quality of life changes with the shorting system as well. With great deals on card packs, a sustainable way to earn diamonds, and the special deals on essence packs, you can spend money if you want to, but it isnt required. Here is what we hope to see in the future for this game. We need more endgame content to continue to enjoy this game where we can earn more coins and essence. It is extremely hard in the endgame to get coins that you need to buy essence packs to upgrade your endgame cards. We get 75 coins every time we beat the final boss of the game on the hardest difficulty. That means Id need to repeat this 64 times to get the 3 pack of diamond boosts and it costs 9 energy each time we fight him. Also, Id like to see more ways to earn onyx fragments. We have played this game for over a year, spent money, and still dont have an onyx card. Part of the reason is because its extremely hard to rank highly in this games arena and trials. We have a 60 card deck of onyx and gold combo cards fully upgraded, and we are barely managing to break 1500 in trials and diamond 1 in the arena. We dont know if there is a bot issue or if the leaderboard just encompasses too many people, but maybe the leaderboard could be more localized to something like each continent. We are hopeful that there is more good changes to come in the future, and we hope the devs read this new review too! We will update our review again as changes are made.

Dont play the arena setting unless you want to be continuously angry. The matchmaking is broken and will constantly put you against stronger foes who have way more stars than you. We would understand if someone with a strong deck started the arena late and was working their way up but on more than a dozen occasions Im pitted against foes who are on the same tier as us but have 6-9 stars more than us. We dont understand how the matchmaking works and there is no transparency surrounding it. The story mode is fun and passes the time but once you beat everything theres not much to do. Just be sure to not spend money in this app as it only benefits in the arena and you dont need to spend a dime to play/beat the other parts of this game (just a little patience).

This game could be a lot of fun.except for the fact that its only geared towards players who are either paying money or spend a lot of time (Free play) grinding and even thats not enough. This game is probably the least new player friendly game Ive ever played especially between the arena battles and portal games. Ive been playing for 2 weeks and spent around $15 and we still cant get past 80 wins on the portal game play. Not to mention they dont teach you anything about the comp cards or what to do with the final form cards. It takes forever to research and you cant beat anyone in the arena especially in the beginning since their all so much better than you so good luck. Its clear the developers have 0 commitment to free to play players so play at youre own risk. Its definitely fun once you start spending money tho so depending on your financial situation it could be a fun game.

This game is so fun, and the new developers keep on making in better and better every update! We love the research aspect of the game, it makes progressing seem more rewards.

Its so simple yet so fun. Used to play a ton like 5 years ago but recently got back into and we love it just as much as the first time.

Awesome gane honestly. So many combinations its really exciting seeing what your going too get. Our only problem is there aren't any way too play friends. Incorporate that or possibly a guild/club system.

Love the game our husband we play this game and have since the original version. The only thing we would suggest is that new events are needed all of the event bosses are the same as original on loop. Other than that love the game.

We were like 10 playing this and we found it again Ive never left a review on a game but we feel like we have to on this game was our childhood Im 21 now so its been some time.

Thank you for this grst wmazing game we love o play ll the time and its so fun to plY this game.

This game is really fun! But we accidentally recycled one of our really good cards by clicking on it if your in the recycle section maybe put a warning if the card is gold or better? Other then that really fun.

There is a bug where a lvl 5 bronze card in our Big bimonthly deck will basically disappear when we get another one and level it to level 5 in order to fuse it and the game does not recognize it, so Ive dropped it into our library and it is gone.3 times this has happened so now Ill test by removing it from our deck before we level the new cardplease look into this.

Theres a weird thing where the game audio blasts at max volume for a split second after having the game open for like a minute or so. Otherwise, this is a great game.

Ive had this game for about 2 months now and Ive spent around 300 dollars for the times as a kid we couldnt do anything lol but we which local pvp would be a thing its seen a decade and its still not here. Also the combo cards should be slightly more easy to get and boss rewards should be way better its so inconsistent and with looking at ur you really would have no idea what to do! Arena is very inconsistent Im not expecting to win every time we get it. But sometimes Im playing against whales bro even after 300 dollars into game with bare min 5 plus hours a day. The arena rewards makes such a difference and we cant get past gold 1 and we did the math to get the good thing it will take 10 plus weeks as a mobile games thats insane.

We love the game so much have been playing for years but Im really really sad because our name is Avery and we had the gold card Avery with the little tiger and it was our favorite card and we almost had it fully upgraded and then accidentally transferred it and now Im just really sad and we dont know how to get that card back.

Great fun but the arena is extremely unbalanced, you could have only bronze and silver cards in your deck and make it to silver 3 but later on be stuck at silver 2 with onyx cards because your opponents always have better cards.

Nice game. Easy to play for a few minutes every day in down time. Cool concept with the combos.

Ive been playing the game for years the community is great and the game has kept us coming back for more.

We love this game but would love more levels and we tried to complete rewards to get more dust but it wont let us at all.

Love the game but you guys gotta bring back local battles so we can play our friends.

First off, we will say this game is amazing. We have played long before it got remastered. Though we were very disappointed to see that they got rid of local arena. We can no longer 1v1 against our friends like we used to in the OG version, which was our main reason of playing. We would love to see it come back. Most of our friends still play this game and we wish we could fight against each other like the good ol times.

We love this game but we ran into one bug. If you combo horse with ash, the nightmare combo card will only be the lowest level. We upgraded our ash and horse to level 5 but the resulting combo never increases. Any other combo that makes the nightmare card is leveled up, its just the ash with horse combo. Wish this could be fixed.

Good game to start out but once you start getting into pvp you will never win against someone who spends money.

Really just money hungry for an app. Every time you open the game you get a pop up to use real money on in game items. You also get spammed after matches. Theres way too many options in the store to purposely overwhelm you and trick you to spend more money thinking youre getting a good deal. You have to spend money for nearly everything in the game if you want a good experience. You even have a very limited energy system that, guess what, you can pay to refill just to keep playing. You run out of free energy in 10 minutes!! If you dont fork over cash, you have to wait hours for your energy to refill. The actual cards are such a pain. Why do some cards take up to 12 hours to research? And of course you can spend real money to speed up the process but even then some cards have to be leveled up before you can even combine them? Why is there a leveling system at all? So many cards make zero sense like how does a RAINBOW do more damage than a knight?! How does a rainbow do any damage at all?! As far as game play goes its very unbalanced. The harder NPCs not only just have better cards but they have more health? But can also have bad starter cards so you can just luck out? And the arena, absolutely ridiculous system. Its not based on your actual level or what cards you have, no its based on your wins. So as a beginner with a beginner deck you could get paired against someone with a way better deck that will just mop the floor with you and you get punished for it?? Why is that fair? And so many times the game draws you a bad hand where you cant even combine anything that you might as well close the game and reopen it, right? Well you get punished for leaving a match but again we ask why? Im not in a match with a real person? We didnt waste anyones time? No one was there to get upset that their opponent left early? Your wins get taken from you as a punishment. Why? The system shouldnt be based on wins, we like our wins and we beat other players fair and square. We should be able to see a number showing us how many wins we have but that shouldnt be how our strength is determined and who we should be paired with. The last thing that bugs us is this games UI is not streamlined at all. Theres way too many things to click on and accidentally tap and youre wondering why you ended up somewhere in the app you didnt want to be. Overall this game could be fun. We played the original yeeears ago and it still had the same issues then. Youd think a remaster would fix these issues be no. Before our boyfriend told us there was a remaster, we reinstalled the original and started thinking of all the ways we would improve the game. Turns out the same things would still apply to the remaster.

After playing this game through and through, we can honestly say that we are wanting more. The longest factor about the game is waiting for some of the card discoveries to finish. Before even getting through a lot of the cycled weekly events, we were able to finish the first map. The second wasnt that much more difficult. Now, we reached level 100, am capped at 30 energy, and all we have is grinding for money, cycled events, and PvP. It felt way too quick and left a lot to be desired. In our rating, Id say that Id push a three star but barely. The game IS good, and fun, and we love the artwork. We definitely would recommend people try it. It just isnt a game to spend money on or play for longevity.

Great game, played the original. Has alot of cards in the Pokmon esc type.

We wish that we could log on to an old account form a new phone or computer but amazing game.

Having a blast with the remastered version. Its easy to pick up, the card combo graphics are cool, and the strategy element is pretty decent. Advanced strategy takes work, so it should provide a good many hours of fun.

We love this game! Im addicted to getting every combo there is. The designs are cool and the nods to culture references are awesome. Only feed back is that we wish there was more story than just the two chapters. It feels a bit forgotten now that Ive beaten everything all the way through onyx. Other than, great game.

The best thing about this game is that you can use a Wizard.

The game is a lot of fun as long as you dont touch the PVP Arena. The system is clearly broken, it appears to definitely be pay to win but that doesnt even seem to help. Youll be lucky to win more than 1 or 2 matches in a row a day, and theres no rhyme or reason to the difficulty of your opponents, if you win one match you are pretty much guaranteed to face a way more difficult opponent for your second, regardless of the tier you are in. If you are looking for balanced PVP dont get this game, otherwise its pretty fun.

We understand if there is no more updates or changes for the game. You guys have done so much for this awesome game and community. The game on its own is extremely unique and enough thank you for everything.

We are a legendary 2 player ranking caters to the top 50 and any player trying to go up will hit a wall so hard you will grind months to move an inch. Rewards are not worth.

We play this game every day we love it so much. Im always adding new cards and combos to our deck so battles are always interesting. We came back to this game after years of not playing and we wish we could still battle other players like we used to be able to when we were kids.

Great game. We will be quitting now that Ive lost all our progress and over $60 plus of in game purchases.

This is a fighting deckbuilder, with the added twist that cards in your deck can be combined during battles to create temporary higher level cards. And we're pretty sure after coming up with that idea, the creators never thought about it again. Every aspect of the game–deckbuilding, upgrading, recycling, researching, and of course battling–requires knowing which cards can be combo'd with which other cards and to what effect. Welp, hope you're good at memorization! Let's say we want to know if we should add a Bat card to our deck. We'll have to leave deck building and head over to our archive. First we look up Bat in the card list. That will show us a long list of thumbnails of cards Bat can combo to create. There are 98 of them of which we've learned 5. The 93 we don't know still show up but with a locked icon, and the ones we do know are randomly interspersed with those. The thumbnails have no names or attack/defense stats. If we tap on one, we now get thumbnails of the cards that can be combined to create it…also with no names. Did they actually playtest their game? But let's say you either don't care about strategy or like making spreadsheets. You'll still be miserable bc this game has reached new heights of greed. There's energy you need for battles–sure–and powerful cards you can pay money or gems to purchase–sure–but it also takes 1 to 24 hours to "research" each new combo for a card…unless you're willing to shell out. The Bat card from before would end up costing you $60 to unlock all its combos without waiting, and that's just one of more than 1500 cards. Don't waste your time or your money.

We thinks our ONLY ISSUE with this glorious fun game is it has no FRIENDS LIST feature so we cant play against our OTHER friends who have this game as well.

Heres a game we keep coming back to over and over and continue to be pleasantly surprised with how good it is and keeps adding more things to make it better. All of which while being a totally free game that you can climb and get better at without spending a dime. 5/5 stars for this amazing game and we have yet to find one like it that scratches the same itch.

This game is excellent and is one of our favorite mobile games of all time; one of our favorite aspects of the game involves discovering unique combinations between cards and achieving powerful combinations in battle. We noticed that while we can combine two cards together to get a powerful version; often times it would be cool to see two combined cards combine together to form Mega cards. For example combining water and human in a card battle results in a mermaid and combing a human and magic results in a wizard. What if you spend one turn combining water and human to get mermaid and have the option of either choosing it to battle or putting it on the bench and you spend the next turn combining human and magic to get wizard and have the option of either choosing it to battle or putting on bench. Then the third turn, you can combine wizard and mermaid to get a new rarity of cards called Mega and the resulting secondary combination is the combined stat total of the two previously combined cards with a brand new Mega ability. Say the human had 9 attack power and 8 defense power and the mermaid had 10 attack power and 10 defense power. The mega combination between mermaid and human could be called Mermage and would have 19 attack power and 18 defense power and would have the absorb ability. Megas dont consume combo orbs unlike final forms do so it becomes beneficial to perform secondary combinations to achieve even more power.

Fun and nostalgic, but we dont remember it being this much of a cash grab. Being able to only buy rare or higher packs with only diamonds is wild to us. That being said we really enjoy it like we did in middle school.

Lost 5$ from two saves. Apples cool Lost 5$ from two saves. Apples cool Lost 5$ from two saves. Apples cool.

Hey we have a question for the developers: the game is asking us to choose between data in device and data in server and says whichever one we dont choose will be deleted. Which one should we choose? We want to be sure that we dont lose our years of progress. Great game btw, Im a fan of most of the changes on the remastered version.

We played the OG years ago and was upset that it stopped getting updates. We were so glad when we saw an ad for this and downloaded it immediately. We probably spend too much money on the game, but its fun with and without buying things. We cant wait for more updates to the story mode.
