We normally only play pretty mindless games like idle games, simple racing games, or sudoku and solitaire. But this game is beyond addicting and we love it. We havent ran into a single ad and Im a few hours into playing, the game has an in depth story to it if you want to pay attention to it, theres tons of ways to personalize how it plays overall we could go on and on but basically its a great way to get into this genre of games and really makes them easy to understand. We would recommend to anyone to at least try it, it only takes maybe 2 minutes tops to really get into the core of the game love it.
There are a ton of characters and different ways to put your line up together. Its fun trying out different ways to win.
Absolutely 100% not pay to win– all the top players are f2p. Unlock anything by playing. Literally 30 different heroes that are balanced and play differently. 300 equipments and 600 cards or something. You can run ten or more active decks and the strategy is choosing matchups, and playing many times per session. Extremely active devs that will live-chat you in the game's Discord. No comparison, hands down the best. 10/5.
Have played this game on/off since it was war storm and have always found it a fun game.
Its a decent game that heavily leans into pay to win after the campaign is complete. If you dont pay tens of dollars for a few cards or a handful of gems, you lose.
Update: Im on iOS brand new Ipad and after the last update the games crashing in campaign as soon as it loads. Hopefully this is fixed but we wont change our review regardless. Ill just have to play something else. The games amazing. Ive played every tcg there is and this games by far our favorite. They give so many rewards and it may be one of the best games for f2p players. So good that we actually spend more because of this. Well deserving of the money.
For once we have found an online TCG that doesnt break our pocket book to play, ive got a good bit done in the campaign and made it to level 8 in the arena all with F2P cards.
Absolutely free to play the game is generous with rewards you can play a tourney every 3 hours for free. Endless dungeon runs for building up a hero while getting your chests. All the chests have their own timer so you get to open them all when you log back on not just one chest at a time like other games which makes it fun. You dont get to control the battles like other games its kind of like auto chess in that way just build your deck and hope for the best. We have won and lost some matches due to luck and card order but since we just started playing this week there is still lots to explore and learn about the game. You will play against people with very established decks and equipment but unlike other games where there is a wall you can develop in this game through campaign and coliseum if you dont like pvp which we think is a real plus. Overall fun CCG that plays out the matches free so try and see if you like it.
Decent deck-building between card costs, same faction or not, leader powers, and equipment. The basic big spear attack leader crushes our beast army, but dies fast to the rush hero (all the way on the right in the hero list. The diamonds dont take long to get, even FTP). Arena matchmaking seems fine. The clan wars let another clan attack and crush you, but at the same time you can attack a different clan, so fair enough. The decks for the campaign are pretty well thought out. A hint: play a mission 3-4 times if you lose. Sometimes going first and randomness gets a win.
The grind is real if youre not willing to play.
Seriously you just hit start and the entire game is just auto pilot. How boring… No strategy involved at all. Pretty much like playing the card game war. Just draw a card and see who draws the highest card.
In only four days of playing we beat the entire campaign, all 75 stars, without much trouble. Now the only meaningful thing to do is play PvP. We have zero legendaries, and they are very, very expensive and grindy to acquire. We regularly play against opponents who have 30+ of them. In this game Rarity = Power Level and beating these decks with our cards is impossible. It would take THOUSANDS of hours- or, of course, money- to catch up with the players that have been playing longer than we have. Like any other CCG, this is EXTREMELY P2W. Uninstalling. Waste of time.
Every time we close the game it starts us over again from the beginning.
If you like strategy card games, this isnt that. This is basically an army management game. Still could be fun if youre into that.
Enjoyed it for the first 2 weeks. Does not appear to be as bad as a Pay to win game. We are progressing along nicely. We did donate some to help with exp and am happy with our progression and play exp at this point.
We found it engaging and your strength builds with the challenges. We thought the store was wanting in being able to get skills or equipment for your champion. We like the arena as a way to grow skills. The combining cards option is fun as well and builds higher battle units.
Crashes. All. The. Time. Just tried to play for 5 minutes. 7 crashes. No joke. Its a shame too because this is a fun game otherwise. Im done though. The game basically plays itself so most of the strategy comes in building your deck. Personally, we prefer some agency in how our deck plays so this is a little bit of a negative. But its ever so minor. Dont let it distract you from how fun the rest of the game is. Fun deck building, decent gameplay, fair monetization, and active developers. What more could you ask for in a mobile ccg.
StormWars is a decent CCG, battles are automatic, so the strategy is all in how you build your deck rather than play. While to pay to win like all these games are, you earn a reasonable amount of premium currency from playing so its possible to make progress as a free to play.
Hard to get started as a new player without spending tons of money. Just keep pecking away and grind and a player can advance without spending real money.

Spent many hours over the years on this game.No regrets the Developers are involved strongly and this game is actually evolving and constantly being improved based off of our input.
Love this game. Have on phone and two we-pads. Somehow we lost our best one and had two start over with this one. To us it is like magic the gathering cig, we enjoy putting the armies together more than anything. We love it!!! 5 stars.

Its all the fun of building a deck and collecting cards without having to actually focus on making moves. Its strategy but at the same time luck.
This game can be played on the fly! Use wits over finger speed. Lots of cards and heroes. Great crews! Lots of activity. Plenty of variety. And so many different ways to win. Never old or boring and you can never master. We highly recommend. Best card game we have played and Ive played em all.
If you like deckbuilding it's great.
The game itself is pretty fun and isnt p2w but after you complete the campaign their isnt much to do and it gets boring. A lot of people left the game and the top 50 guilds has a bunch of inactive players because they got bored and moved on. Our suggestion would be to add more events where you can win new cards or a new campaign.

This is one of the most fun strategic game apps we've played.
Just starting out the campaign but it seems good so far, though there is a strong random element to battles.
It's not 100% what we anticipated, but the overall game is fun.
The strategy in this game is in building your deck. Gameplay is mindless, but fun to try to increase your odds of making combos. The draft tournaments are also enjoyable.
We like this game cause it's so simple DIY fights that is easy to create decks.
