User Reviews on Lost Grimoires 3

We liked the game. It had mini games and activities and it was enjoyable and lots of fun to play! It sound effects and the characters are really cool and we liked that they set the game in medieval times. However, we did not like that you can’t go to the Bonus chapter and that once you get to a certain point you have to pay 6 dollars to continue. We pretty much like the game except for the paying part.

Loved the game and play if over and over. The ending was a little disappointing. Just wish you had added a bonus chapter with the alchemist saving the Elf.

We have already played the first 2 in this series and Im enjoying them all. Great graphics, story line and puzzles. Im dont care for an ending that seems unfinished. Otherwise great game.

The story was actually really good even though the dialog was clunky at times. Enjoyed the HO and mini games. The elf guy and town didnt look elf like at all so that was disappointing. Certain things didnt make sense like using perfume to clean wounds… That was dumb and weird but everything else, from what we remember, made sense. We really enjoyed the alchemy aspect.

Artifex Mundi always delivers the very best, in all aspects, their games! Thank you!

Im a yuge fan of a good story line in games and this one is so good! We hated for the game to end and hope theres a sequel. Kudos to the entire development team at Artifex! Merry Christmas!

We love A.M.s graphics/artwork! Just beautiful! Stories are always interesting and draw you in. Lost Grimoires has become one of our favorite series. As always there are no glitches and the game flows perfectly! We were so excited to see a new game by this developer. Never let down. This is a must buy gamers! Anxiously awaiting another! One thing we wish was there was a bonus chapter. We had to pay 7$ for the game as it did not give us 30% off so a bonus chapter should really be included for that price.

We really enjoy this new game. They really need to make more games that can be played like this one.

Oh no. Oh no no no no. You can NOT do that. There needs to be a sequel to this game. Im still waiting on a Lost Grimoires 2-2, and that one didnt have anywhere near the cliffhanger this one had. This one needs a sequel asap. As in now. Lots of love to the Artifex Mundi team. You create some really beautiful games. Now get on Lost Grimoires 3-2!

Well done – The graphics, character voiceovers & acting were outstanding. We loved the storyline as the characters really put emotion into their respective parts. Hidden object scenes and puzzles were of a mixed variety. Teleporting map was provided, as well as collectibles to find. As far as the price increase, it is understandable, however – for the amount being charged on sale $4.99 the games need to be longer and for sure a Bonus chapter included. This was the only disappointing part for us, being that this game was so short. Would Love to see you release more games for iPad more frequently. Your games are unique in a lot of different ways and we always look forward to them. Hopefully, Artifex Mundi will take these suggestions & provide us with lengthier games that include a bonus. Looking forward to the next release! Our recommendation is Buy this game while on sale – Play & Enjoy KdBoots ( p.s. We will be playing this game again as we found it to be fascinating & captivating! )

Nice job, wish it were longer!

We love all the artifex mundi games! The story line, graphics, challenges are all terrific! That being said, we are only giving four stars because of the price. We feel the games should be longer and/or bonus chapter for $6.99. Keep up the great work!

We gave it 4 stars because the ending just sort of stopped, so they could make a number 4. The graphics are great, good story. It could have been longer, and we would like Artifex Mundi to add a bonus chapter on all their games. The extras are nothin, at least make it so you can get morphing items you missed, and the collectible items you missed. We do like your games, just wish there was better extras.

We enjoyed this game, it just felt very short. Otherwise, we liked it a lot.

Very short, nothing new and NO BONUS CHAPTER! Ripoff for the price of $6.99!

We liked the story and its beautiful like all AM games are, but no bonus chapter? No extra games or HOPs? Lame for $6.

We cant give a comprehensive review because we are unable to finish the game. The wolfsbane is uncollectible and so further progress is impossible. The hint has quit working and the map shows no activity available. This game was a total disappointment since we usually really enjoy this developers games.

Note to KimTwilight: Dupin or the Elf King? Personally, the professor in Age of Invention was really hot too! On to the game. Artifex Mundi, your games are terrific but people are getting turned off by the price, even the sale price! If you are charging $6.99 for a game, with a sale price of $4.99, the game needs to be significantly lengthier and include a bonus adventure. This was a decent, albeit short game by World Loom Games. You could customize settings. The graphics were excellent and some scenes were truly magnificent. Although there was no cohesive journal objectives were regularly updated. There was a marked teleport map to transport you instantaneously between locations. At each location you must collect a morphing evil face. There werent as many tasks to accomplish at each location as we would have preferred. You must use your alchemy kit to transmute potions, which you use to overcome obstacles. The alchemy kit had a mini-game attached; however you still had to perform certain actions before you could transmute the potion in several instances. The HO scenes had some variation but most were word lists. The puzzles were on the simplistic side but we enjoyed them nevertheless. We liked the variety; some of dexterity and skill, some in the rotational genre, painting, etc. There was something for everyone. The game ran smoothly. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. You dont have to drag inventory items; simply click on the tool and then click the area to which you are applying the item. The storyline was easy to follow. The only issue that we had with this game was the length. For the price there should have been at least a bonus adventure. We deducted a star for length. Artifex Mundi, please give us more games and definitely much longer ones! Your graphics are gorgeous and your games are very entertaining and enjoyable. Lynxie wishes you a very happy holiday! Happy gaming, everyone!

The story line is not unusual: you come from a family of alchemists, and you take advantage of your skills to save your kingdom from evil invaders. The good news is that this developer has a knack of making the story more interesting, through a high level of action-packed drama, such as awakening giant guardian statues to fend off the intruders. We must also note that the elf king is gorgeous! You take along your famous Alchemy Bag; however, this time around, you repeatedly play the same mini-game in place of creating the actual potions. This, in our opinion, eliminates more suitable gameplay that would normally enhance the storyline. One of the highlights of this game is the exquisite graphics; they are as finely rendered as they ever are, with crisply defined and clear details. The colors are bright and lively — a refreshing change from the typically dark, spooky atmosphere we see in the dominant horror-oriented games. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. In custom mode, the teleport map facilitates brisk travel to labeled locations and indicates available actions. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick; no glitches to report. The HOSs have some variation; but they are still heavy on the word lists, with some being scantly interactive. The puzzles diversify in format, but they are missing a satisfying degree of challenge. Most puzzles can be solved in a few quick steps. You are collecting a morphing object in each location. One trivial quibble is that sometimes the spoken dialogue did not match the visual text. The playtime through the free trial is brief; we bought the game anyway because the storyline maintained our attention. That said, the gameplay is deficient in thought-provoking concepts to stimulate our mind. No bonus chapter as usual. Our true rating is 3.5 stars; however, we lowered it to a final 3 stars. Regarding the increased prices of this developer’s games, we understand that the costs of production to create these games increase over time. However, one has to consider that these games are generally very short and lack a bonus chapter. We would never purchase a game for $6.99, especially one with diminished playtime and simplistic gameplay. Even before the price increases, $4.99 was a bit much for what you get. We want to support one of our favorite developers, but we hope these games stretch out a bit so we could feel like we’re getting our money’s worth.

While these games are usually worth the money, this one is not. The sale price went up to $4.99 and we were done in an hour and a half (no bonus chapter per the norm). The graphics were beautiful, the story line was ok, but we did feel let down. It was much shorter than the normal artifex Mundi game, was more expensive, and for some reason (and we love fantasy story lines) wasn’t as enjoyable to play (I cant put our finger on it) for some reason. The story line just didnt flow or maybe we just didnt care. For reference, Artifex Mundi games seem to be 4 and half star games for us. We rarely think a game is worth 5 stars. So with our three stars there you have it.
