Updated: THANK YOU for bringing it back!! We love this game but we need Edwinas Cash Dash event to come every week like it used to!! Its very rare now, with just back to back date night and toy making events that dont help us with our main board (especially our maxed cash piles)! PLEASE.
Let us start by saying Im not a huge gamer we just like to play idly and normally delete after a month. We never understood the idea or fun behind a merge game but the design and story described of this one drew us in. We have purchased games but never ad-ons until now. Happy to support developers who have clearly put out a great deal of thought, effort, and a non aggressive scheme to make you watch ads or pay. For those curious, there are no ads and you do not need to purchase anything to advance. We mainly purchased to support the devs and yes- advance a bit faster. We love the diversity delivered through integrating BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities. The story line is absolutely absurd but in a lovable, fun and silly way. As the story progresses. You repair/upgrade the property. In almost every game Ive played when you have an option to change what you already built, you have to pay to change the design- not here- you can change everything as many times as you like. The alternative design aesthetics are all great and thought out (not forcing you to choose the only good looking option). The devs are clearly hard at work to make more content – since its new, most of us are waiting on the story line to continue with the bake off chalenges, Yukas dates, Edwinas cash dash and Svens toy challenge and those additions have made it easier to wait for what happens next- the updates roll out every week or 2 though and its been worth the wait. The only thing Id suggest a consideration on is the cost/point value. It doesnt seem proportionate or commensurate of the energy used to obtain something. We could spend a week and several hundred energies to just get a cake that Ill get 100 for, where something like a hotdog earning 40/50 for that will take a day and maybe 150 energy which makes us more likely to focus on earning the smaller wins. Maybe this happens intentionally as you level up to slow us down and keep things fair in competitions, but then it seems pointless to level anything up. Also- definitely not enough dice. With 3 bookshelves, it will take 2-3 weeks to earn the highest game board and the last ones cost value was like 40. Happy to spend the time on earning it, but we feel like the values should be a lot higher. Keep up the work though guys- 100% best merge game out there and absolutely our favorite game for the last several months.
We saw the game and assumed it was one of the very similar to Candy crush games which it sort of is but so many combinations makes this game very addicting although it is sad you have to wait for energy once you use it all up every two minutes which isnt even that bad .it is very much a attention grabber of a game and we love it.
We are so obsessed we cant stop playing this game.
We downloaded this expecting not much and we ended up falling in love with the game so we even tried to play others but none compare to this one, we cant wait to see if the creators developers another game similar with different story lines.
We absolutely love this game. Its so much fun and Im completely immersed in the story. Usually with games like these we fulfill orders for months and do the story little by little and end up hoarding coins, but we couldnt stop with the story on this one! Not just the story is good either, the art is absolutely adorable, the furniture and decor options while remodeling are gorgeous, and its a very well paced game! Sometimes we have to set a timer for our energy to refill and force ourselves not to open the game until its done because we just cant get enough of it! Also, the events always keep us on our toes and we love that. All that being said, we have one recommendation: an un-merge option. It could be like watch an ad to unmerge this or like a special item you get for completing story quests. Either way, the lack of this feature definitely isnt a deal breaker. Cant wait to keep playing! (Has our energy reloaded yet??).

There are a couple of merge game paradigms. One is this type, where you merge items to fulfill orders. Our enjoyment of these depends on the wrapping, since the gameplay is identical. And this is the best wrapping of this type of game out there. Most importantly is that theres a continuing story to keep you interested. And Im totally hooked on the story. We have never seen a f2p game with so much racial diversity and LGBTQ representation and it is so refreshing! We rarely spend real money on these games but Im happy to support the development of such inclusive gaming. Two points people have made. 1: The main character is in yet another romantic storyline. Yes, but theres so much else going on, and we wonder if that reviewer was even paying attention, as he suggests an alternate storyline of her being worried about her motherwhich is in fact the very plot of the game! 2: The game is designed to take your money/Theres not enough playtime before energy runs out. Um, is this your first f2p game? You dont get a free game for actual free, dear hearts! At least this one doesnt pummel you with ads for gems. This is a game to play a few times a day, not as your main source of gaming, with a fun mechanic, adorable art, and inclusive storytelling. Its a pleasure to spend money on it every so often. (No different from Patreon, really.).
This is so inspirational to anyone who wants to open up there own shop and we love this game and it has been so fun. The only thing we wish we could change is that it didnt have to recharge and you didnt have to pay real money but other than that, this game has been perfect.

A good little time filler game for when youre waiting a short while.
This game is not only fun, but it also has an adorable storyline with tons of mystery:).
We have never been so invested in a game before and we probably purchased over $500 worth of gems lol fun simple gameplay with a heartwarming but mysterious story. A few suggestions: 1) split mode: players can split the merged iten and return it to its previous form. Chargeable e.g. 5 coins per split and limit to 5 times. 2) cancelling menu: players able to cancel a menu if it is too difficult to achieve or insufficient items. 3) removing items on board: players can remove multiple items on the board at one time. 4) powerups: can skip forward 1-2 levels when items are merged. B) turn items into coins/gems/energy. C) a super item that can turn into the highest level of that item when merged.
If youre looking for a fun, easy to play/understand, game with an amazing story, this is the game for you. It isnt the kind of game you can sit there and binge, rather a game of patience, where the gameplay is extended, and gives you something to look forward to. Nothing puts a smile on our face like getting the notification from Love and Pies that our energy is refilled. It is also so satisfying to complete tasks, and get pieces of the beautifully interesting story that is unfolding. Not to mention the competition aspect in later gameplay. We have never left a review on anything ever before, but a masterpiece like this deserves recognition.

Love and pies is amazing best game ever heres our reasons first its free second its so much fun third it barely has any ads lastly it has a great story so just fun and entertaining oh and a little sneak peek you have to mash combinations to make food and start upgrading your bakery and no its not a game like candy crush because if your like us you dont like games like candy crush but love and pies is wayyyyyy better we dont want to spoil it so go play LOVE AND PIES.
This game has it all, fantastic graphics, compelling storyline, fun gameplay, no ads. But, be prepared for this: you have your choice of limiting play to a few seconds an hour, or else purchasing gems, which run up to $99 a pop. We like supporting game developers, but generally to the tune of $5-10 for the whole game. This one is a little rich for our blood.
We love the game but we wish we could have more moves.
The characters and the story are good, but the actual game play is sooo slow. We only get to play the app for a few minutes at a time because the rate energy charges and the rate you use them doesnt line up well. It takes for ever to get high level items. Its really annoying.

Ive never seen a game that more actively discourages you from playing. The actual gameplay is great but between needing energy, waiting for item generators to recharge, and eventually needing super advanced items that take a LOT of merging to progress, Im only able to play for about ten minutes at a time. We would love if energy was required for one or the other of these things but not both.
We like the game and the set up but everything has to recharge so often you cant get much out of it. Plus its hard to get the items to upgrade things like the oven and the grocery bags.
We REALLY like this game. Ive downloaded it a million times. We had this game on our android, we paid for gems and baskets and watched a million ads, it stopped working, we sent the creators an email, they responded but wanted screen cap video, our phone didnt have that capability. So it ended there. Fast forward a month or two, we now have an iPhone 12 that we play the game on we downloaded this game AGAIN continue to watch a million ads and couldnt transfer our progress.. STOP MAKING US PAY FOR CONVERSATION! They are short and boring and pointless. Yukas name should be Yuki and her reporter girlfriend is a CUT. We pay so much gold for a 30 second conversation with some a$$hole treating us (the protagonist, Amelia) like crap. We pay money for things that make no sense. We get that you want money, but come on. We check in multiple times a day, watch ads, and pay REAL life money for a conversation with people who are clueless and treat us (Amelia) like Im garbage. She was cool and independent at first, but now shes obsessed with Joe. And our poor uncle. The story is convoluted and aggravating. And why do you make it so hard to get the dan cat.
We have played this game for 8 months. We until now, we loved it. The combining of items to get something else gives a sense of accomplishment. The decorating and cleaning is fun. The story, until now, was AMAZING! Warning, if you just want something you can do for more than 2 hours a day, for free, this is not your game. This game story hooked us. The story was what kept us coming back to this game. It was our happy game to play twice a day. Until yep, things got just too much like someones bad real life situation for us. Why the storyline went from a bedtime story to soap opera, we dont know. We feel betrayed. We would have given 5 stars originally but now Im down to three out of respect for 8 months of good times. We think it best if we just look for another game with less bad situation vibe to it.
We instantly fell in love with this game. Great art, fun story, easy to understand merge game. But as others have said, once you reach a certain level the spawn rate of the various items becomes painfully slow. We have plenty of energy, but nothing to do because all the spawn items are refreshingfor hours. At this point its little more than click three items, close app, wait for tomorrow.
Its a really great game but the game events need updated. Its the same two replaying over and over which is a bit tiring and not fun anymore. The store and how you purchase things and earn items also needs updated. Overall, a really great game that we enjoy but it still needs quite a few updates.
We deleted this game bc it took forever to get an item. They didnt have any ads but u would definitely have to spend a lot of money to make this game not take forever.
This game looks beautiful and the gameplay is simple enough. But it is horribly slow going. Unless youre willing to spend real money you will spend days or weeks on one order. It gets boring after a while unless, again, youre cool with spending real money.
Love is slowly fading for this game, you can only play once every 6 hours. Im not sure who came up with the waiting game concept of this game but it suuuuucks. We love this game and play it everyday but you run out of moves so fast and then have to wait over 6 hours for your lightning bolts to refill. You can watch ads for 15 more moves but they dont last long, and you only have so many ads that you can watch in a day. They need a better system for this. Starting not to love this game.
Obviously this is just a classic merge game. We get sucked into them we cant help it. But this one is just a money pit. You get one energy every two minutes?! The game makes it impossible to upgrade items without some sort of purchase. There is also way too many things on the board at once. Maybe start with the food items only then introduce the things (seeds, bees, books, games, CATS) slower. We have closed off squares on our board that are filled with other items we havent gotten close to unlocking. How can we upgrade our oven when we never get any boxes? Same with bags.
Pros: cute character designs and artwork Cons: quite possibly the most predatory f2p model Ive ever come across Would you like a game designed to prevent you from being able to play? No? Us neither. Disappointed to see the cute design wasted on a non-game like this.
Characters & story line are 5 stars, easy. Game play has a couple things that could be improved, but doesnt interfere with gameplay. Mechanics are fine. Bugs and customer service make the whole package sink below 1 star. 3 bugs, 1 big one (makes challenge completion difficult) – that has been in game over 6 months. Customer service is awful. They blame the player, lie about cause/fix/etc, close conversations without replying, and worse! We are so sad to delete this app, but the bugs and customer response (or lack thereof) have taken all the enjoyment from the game.

We literally adore this game we play it all day everyday. Its the only game ive ever had that we dont get bored of after a week. We literally LOVE this game more than our own LIFE.

Honestly love this game! Is great. Wonderful illustrations and story, but, after playing it for a while, they stop giving you rewards like coins and gems. Instead, they change for this albums that all games creators think are so great. Dont like it this is really a bummer for us. It feels like a way for you to move much slower within the game. Like trying to give you less rewards for the same amount of time and effort. We used to get all sorts of rewards with the customers but now is only stickers. Really bad idea in our experience. Especially when most other games now have it is like a thing to do for illustrators hopefully this can be re-thinked into the normal fun rewards.
We really love this game, but the millions of pop ups we get the second we open the app makes us want to uninstall it. We dont care about the events or bundles you have to pay for to have. We just want to merge and make pies.
We used to play this game a long time ago but stopped. Came across it today and couldnt recall why we deleted it in the first place. So we redownloaded it and within two minutes, we remembered. Theres too many pop ups about events and trying to get us to spend money. We just want to merge and get to the storyline okay? If we want to spend money on whatever, we know where to find it. Please take those pop-ups away. We love this game and would hate to uninstall it again.

We stopped playing because every time we would get on the app there would be like ten things pop up about the different events. We just wanted to play the game, and not really interested in the events.
Im a fan of the game our biggest complaint is the way they add things last minute. The newest update is the picnic pass we activated our golden ticket now theyve added the new winters tale stickers now Ive missed out on so many stickers and its impossible for us to get them. We spend so much money on the app there should be a way to get we pay for Im just saying.
We like these merge games with storys about what happened while they rebuild. Its simple and fun just to pass the time and enjoy some downtime.
We're only on level 14 so we haven't gotten too far yet, but we're really enjoying the story! The art style is very pleasing, too. Amelia and Joe's obvious feelings for each other are pretty interesting, we like seeing how it plays out. We also really, REALLY like the LGBTQ+ representation with Yuka's feelings for Eve. We're hopeful that they'll get together. Over all, Love & Pies is very charming and has an interesting story so far. We're excited to progress more and see where things go.
After last update we got small playground .. Really cant see anything. Is it ok.
