Just started, so far good. No brain drain, simple relaxing.
This game is so fun and so addictive!!! We totally recommend.
Please fix the battery drain problem, we had that problem on our Samsung phone, we like to have some battery left for calls, please fix the problem with the application. We are not complaining, but we do find it annoying.

In our opinion, this is a very good game, simple controls. But the ads are kinda Annoying ngl. Would give 4.5 stars if it was an option.
Our husband found this for us because he knew how we loved the original on computers. Great way to relax and also challenge your strategy skills.
Sadly, Microsoft Classic Solitaire gamesSadly, we can not to Wi-Fi on our Apple devices but can connect on y computer & laptop . This has been going on for years so we stop using it but decided to try again, but no go. Fix the problem Apple.
Its pretty fun and the maps are well made, the only thing that bothers us is the fact that you cant match the seasons and flower cards interchangeably.
Its a fun game, after you get to 900, there are no updates for more. We paid premium. Basically we paid a year and cant go any further.
Game pass doesnt cover this unfortunately so Ill probably delete before giving it a real try since the adds are so bad , cant find a tutorial or explanation of the game anywhere in app so the trial and error to figure out the gameplay is confusing a bit to a beginner , like whats with the shaded pieces and why meh back to chess.
Love the game but need to sync this with windows so you can bring your current levels with you.
Absolutely love the game but it drains our battery and causes our phone to overheat. When this happens there is a very bad lag.
Unlike Microsoft Sudoku (named the same in PC & iOS versions) which sync your game progress together, with this install you end up with two games in your XBox account: Microsoft Mahjong (PC), and Mahjong by Microsoft (iOS). This is just a design flaw that makes no sense whatsoever. Even if you have to have different names, you should still be able to synchronize your activities the same as is done with the Sudoku game. Please fix!
We upgraded our Windows 7 computer to Windows 11, JUST in hopes it would have the same Mahjong game that had always come with their computers: it does not. So found this on iPhone 13 and was VERY excited. Its close, but no where NEAR as good as the Windows 7 computer version – our favorite game, for which we held onto our Windows 7 even after it was no longer supported JUST to get keep that game.
Im sick of Microsoft blocking enjoyment of Casual Games and the top of the junk heap is Mahjong! Tabula frequently over rides these games so, our wins in the game are delayed while Tabula loads new ads! This can cost the player a proper score because it adds the time of loading ads as game play time. Tabula can even interrupt the sign in process so that the home page where you can select your game, signs you in as a guest and will not allow you to sign in with your Xbox account!!! Microsoft seems to think that all this crap is going to force us to buy the subscription! All it proves to us is that Microsoft cheats and cheats and somehow make you trust them and give them money. Actually, it breaches trust! So, how stupid do they think we are? Foul us once shame on you! We are never going to be treated that way twice!
You have to be signed in online to play this game, unlike some of the other MS casual games. We are on dial up so cant play this. Also dont want to have to sign in for this. We go to the library to use WiFi to download stuff.
We loved playing the daily challenges every Igor before we would go to bed. But ever since the update, we can no longer play our longtime bedtime ritual. It crashes every time we try to open it. Very sad face!
This was decent until it forced us to watch ads between puzzles.
- There needs to be an option to turn the animation off. Some people are prone to nausea with that over the top animation. Its brilliant looking, but quite unnecessary. 2) Some optimisation needs to be done. It is a severe battery hog. As an example, the battery on our phone and normally only goes down 20% a day while playing other mahjong games. But today, playing Microsoft Mahjong our battery went from 80% to 20% and only three hours.
There have been no new levels added in months. Daily challenges are fun.
CAN someone tell us where to go to pay for premium?
Exactly what we would expect from Microsoft! The colors & graphics are wonderful & the game is excellent.
We would love controller support.
Its a solid app. Its the same classic mahjong game we remember playing as a kid on our computer, but now its on our phone. Fun and relaxing. We like unlocking the different themes. A nice game. Except for the fact that its not included with our Ultimate Game pass subscription. We wouldnt mind this normally, we wasnt expecting any mobile apps to be on game pass but the premium version of the Solitaire app IS on game pass! Microsoft, if youre going to add your premium mobile games to game pass, then why only add one of them? We are already paying $15 per month for Ultimate Game Pass. We should not have to pay an additional $2 per month just to play Mahjong without being interrupted by ads. Please add this game to Game Pass.
The app keeps crashing after you lose the lighting tiles. This just started about 2 weeks ago we’ve tried turning our phone and pad to see if that worked but didnt work. Then we reinstalled the app that didnt work either. So here we are.
Would pay for no ads. The game is great.
Everything in the app works like it should, as one would expect from Microsofts team. The only thing we want is to support landscape mode on iPadOS.
Good game, but we dont believe it is worth the money especially when it tells us to pay for ad-free gaming, and ads still show up.

Play Microsofts casual games mahjong or solitaire every morning and before sleep. It is very calming and a great way to start every day. Its 5 stars for both. We do wish we could turn mahjong to landscape orientation as is most comfortable to hold our tablet. Also would be nice on mahjong if you had a similar special game section that you do on Solitaire no criticism meant you have put together a wonderful set of games. Well done.
Excellent game. One recommendation- when you have 2 tiles left that are stacked, you cannot finish the game without going back quite a bit. If you iyou only have 2 tiles left, then a shuffle should unstack them so you can complete the game.
Just started playing this game . Very interesting and addictive.
We are fond of Microsoft games and am happy to see the App Store is offering more of their games. We have a favorite mahong on our computer thats a Microsoft game. We thought this was going to be it, but isnt . We discovered we really am liking this game and the colors of the tiles change so its not boring with the same colors all the time. Its unique and fun.
Only problem, we’ve played all 9 groups. When will new puzzles be available?
It could be because we started playing on Windows, but this is by far our favorite. We’ve played several other apps that are just lower quality. We have the premium version so we cant comment on the ads. We have one complaint. When tapping on a tile near the top left corner, we often get the menu to pop up. Its as if that area isnt quite calibrated correctly. Or maybe its just us being left handed. But its super annoying during a timed challenge.
Extreme visual perceptual matching that is stimulating and satisfying.
Glad to see this was finally ported from Windows 10 and Windows Phone. This is absolutely the best mahjong game we have played. Ads are not obtrusive. Really fun to play in short or long sessions. Peak 2022 is sitting in our car while on the waitlist for Texas Roadhouse waiting for our number to come up while playing Mahjong.

Now that we got that out of the way. If we are not incorrect Mahjong from Microsloth came with XP. Our Loves Mother played Mahjong. May she Rest In Peace. We remember the clacking when the tiles were dumped, all at once onto the kitchen table – it was a calamity it was so loud. Anywho we finally got our chance (Oh, she offered, Dottie was her name) when this came out. Everybody was playing Pinball and Pool. A very smooth and short learning curve. And always remember where the tiles lie!
Pros: Challenging games at various levels. Nice presentation and animation. Question: When removing matching tiles various tones are played. Do the pitch of the tones have any meaning in the game? Cons: we do not use a login to Xbox live – ever. At times the app wants to download new games. If we say no we cannot access anything but our first level games which we have already completed. Why?
Every so often, two tiles are stuck and you cant clear them, even if they are the last tiles on the board and the hint even points you to them. Shuffling doesnt fix it either. No way to report it as a problem. You just have to start the game over.
