Mahjong Master is a free mahjong game based on a classic Chinese game.(also known as Shanghai Mahjong, Taipei Mahjong, Kyodai, Mahjong Trails, or Shanghai mahjongg)
The aim of the game is to remove all the playing tiles in the fastest time, while trying to achieve the highest score. Each tile has a picture on it, there are 43 different pictures in total. Tiles must be selected and matched with other tiles of the same picture. Whenever you match two tiles, they both disappear, and when all tiles have disappeared the game is over.

We found this game several years ago. We find that it is challenging, sometimes frustrating but absolutely the best game Ive played.
We love Mahjong!!! We have been playing since our first PC! Havent seen one with horses and all gear. Been playing since you had to buy it on a disc! We like it because theres usually a way to win. We would though like to know what the Chinese characters that we match up mean? We usually give them our own names, little ship, running man, shopping cart, big cargo boat, etc. We really like how they are getting glittery & sparkly! We have been playing for close to 30 years.
We are 79 year old. This game helps us to focus and to train our brain (whatever is left!!) to think faster. Also fun game to play. Thank you.
Finally a game that doesnt constantly expect you to but things to play. Its a great solitaire game as well changing but not impossible.
Ive played this game for decades, before Apple iPhones!!! We love it for a wait in line game to relax, for driving!! Ill play it completely and reset it to play again. Its just a relaxed matching game. We love it.
UPDATE 10/2021 About that easier on the eyes in our previous review…. There are a number of MAHJONG MASTER tiles that ARE easier on the eyes. Yet, there are other tile sets that are small–like about 2/3rds the size of an envelope stamp. That is too small, and our vision goes fuzzy trying to distinguish them and form matches. Our suggestion, is to make it possible for the player to increase the size of those tiles–if they desire to do so. Soooo, what do you say, game designers; will you include such an option? Thank you. The name fits! Truly the BEST mahjong game we've ever experienced. We love the features of this game, and the colors. It holds our a attention better. This may not make sense ur the "timed" feature is great. If we don't feel inclined to "beat the timer " we can keep playing leisurely. But when we want to get all 3 stars, we lock our eyes and mind in and win quite often. Yes, there are commercials. But only now and then, and we can exit them quickly and get back to our game. We had 2 other Mahjong games, but after we played this one a few times, we deleted the other two. In comparison, those 2 games were far less interesting. Plus, this one is far easier on aging eyes.

We enjoy playing this game very much however every now and then it freezes up and doesnt want to open. The only thing we can do is uninstall the app and reinstall it which means starting from the beginning.
Our go-to for a rewarding mental stimulation! Many options to change tiles to promote a positive approach to solving it. Lots of challenging levels & large variety of layouts to choose from. Highly recommend to EVERYONE who really enjoy solving Mahjong puzzles.

This is a fun game. It's has a few glitches that need attention. It will lock up between levels and you have to back completely out of the game, delete any other pages you may have been looking before starting the game and start over. Fix that bug and it'll be a great game.
We would love to give this a 5 stars but we dont understand why this app does not have the option to remove ads….. They are not only annoying but they sometimes get in the way of our game.
Tell us how to find our favorite formations! Level and menu give us choices. Traditional? Great… But we cant easily locate the larger blocks, the small diamond formation, the rectangle with two outer protruding rows. Other than this, you change the formation when we play out. How do you choose the next formation? Yes, other than these concerns, love it five stars! Ducklady Stop removing our records of games! Stop taking off our older game scores and times! Leave them, plz. 2021 july 20. You have removed our scores again! StOP! Bring back our records of past games. Please.

We have been a fan of Mahjong due to stress-free, mind-exercising, and relaxing benefits. This particular game outranks the rest of these Mahjong games (and, no glitches or pesky continuous ads.) It is the best in graphics and options. You can change the screen, tiles, music[or none], brightness of screen, and levels to whichever mood you happen to be in. The tiles are vibrant and large. You wont be disappointed with this game.

The graphics are very clear and well done! The variety of options is the best Ive seen on the versions offered. You can choose backgrounds, tile faces, and layouts! The animations are well executed. Very nicely done and FREE to play.

We have tried many versions of this game. This is the best by far! There is a good selection of backgrounds and tiles from the start, the ads do not seem intrusive and it actually is free. A lovely app all around.
This is such a beautiful mahjongg! If you use the right background and tiles, it's a feast for the eyes! We've only had it for a day or so, but it's just outstanding! This is the best Mahjong game EVER! They have another mahjong master game in the App Store, thats supposed to be the same game. But that one is skinnier and will not turn with your iPad, so beware. But this one is the BOMB, and we enjoy playing it for hours on end. So be very careful which one you choose. Good luck.

Our new mahjong games are really amazing because it darkens out all the stones that cant be used at the moment. We just wish that there was more of a challenge to them so that we fix up ourselves for with the mahjong speed that is used to have while we played it.
There are a lot of options & levels to choose from that offers a lot of variety. You get to choose the tile colors which is nice. It's challenging to get 3 stars on this one, so it will keep you motivated! Like others have said, it does not offer landscape mode which is unfortunate for iPad users. However, the Ads are not intrusive like some games which makes it a nice gaming experience. Keep up the great work.

It has all the bells and whistles, keeps time, pauses, shuffles, option to lite open tiles. We got a new device and couldnt remember which game we previously had so tried a bunch of other ones. We were surprised at what a lack of capabilities a lot of them had.
This is the best Ive ever played, out of several tried. With occasional updates that keep it interesting with new tile sets, layouts, and backgronds.
The squares are pretty & the background is awesome! Levels are a good challenge! Would recommend yes.
