This game is exactly what we were looking for in terms of collecting fun boys with cute illustrations attached to work towards. However, we feel like theres a significant lack of stuff to do once you spend 3-5 minutes catching up on harvesting. This game could be improved heavily if there was a section for selecting your favorite boy and taking care of him, or a section with well thought out mini games with small rewards to keep you occupied while your boys grow. We really love the way this game grabbed us visually, so please consider these suggestions moving forward. We think the gameplay would be improved significantly with just a few additions.
The sell coin envelope function is broken.
The payments for stars process but we do not receive our stars. Please fix. Game itself is cute, relaxing, addicting.
Mandrake Boys is a really simple joseimuke where you collect a bunch of various "mandrakes boys", all of which are in groups of 3 and have their own illustrations and stories. All you do is plant, wait (1min-48hr, rarer units take longer) harvest and repeat. It's really casual and it's nice to collect the various chibis and art, but if you wanna collect them all you HAVE to take out your wallet. Freebies give basically nothing so your stuck either waiting months or spending to get them at your own pace. 7/10 it's a lil old (looks like those old korean pixel games from the 2000s) and f2p unfriendly, but the art is beautiful, the stories are fun and it's still getting updates after 6 years.
Ive been playing this game for 7 years. We like the casual and chill kind of game play. Im currently experiencing a problem with purchasing stars. We bought a pack of 4000 stars($26.99) 2 days ago but didnt get them. We tried emailing support but never got a response or the stars we purchased. We tried attempting a 400 stars($1.99) to see if we missed something and we got a window that said Synchronized with the server to correct data mismatch. Please try again. We tried unlinking and linking our account, redownloading all resources, deleting and redownloading the app, and even updated our phone. Still no stars. We emailed Support a few times already but nothing. Update: we finally got our stars after contacting and replying to Support. Took about over a week but glad to get them. Thank you.
We really like this game but we are so angry we purchased the new gardener pack it said it was on sale for 4.99 but it charged our account 12.97 we are truly angry and will not ever purchase anything else.
We currently cant sell the coin or star packs and we dont know why.

We love absolutely everything about the game! The only thing we would want extra is if the developers ever included English subtitles for the voice lines. We love hearing their voices but we can't understand what they're saying. Other than that, perfect game.
Its fun to play and theres a lot of mandrakes to collect. Getting resources is pretty and upgrading things are pretty slow though.
Its fun to play but getting Stars to spend on buying more seeds is kind of a hassle most of the time.

Wonderful game. Relaxing and funif youre thinking about downloading it, think no more, because it requires minimum effort and is so fun! You can get free stars from tap joy so its very f2p friendly! The mandrakes are cute and the illustrations are beautiful. The stories are exciting and fun. Only problem is that Facebook sign in is not working for us. The account transfer system is a bit concerning. It seems quite easy to lose your account. Highly recommend not to bind with Facebook.

This game is totally fun! Love the stories and all the art! If we had a problem its that we wish events that we missed would comeback!! Other than that, the game is great!! We just wish that mandrake girls was in action again! We used to play it a long time ago and now we wanted to play it again which is how we came across this! Wish we could get back to the original!! Idek how to contact them since they seem inactive on their social media… Anyway, great game and great visuals! Really cute.
Hello, we really love your game, its just super cute, and really relaxing! But we have a little bug that takes away our potions and money but doesnt convert it to elixirs :( we really do love this game and would like to keep playing it. Thank you creating this game and updating.
Wow this is actually a really awesome game, we love just starting at the plants grow and then the characters are so many and very unique! But there are also a few bugs like the badges take time to take effect. Other than that its very addictive.
Played this game on both Iphone and android. In the android app, there are many opportunities to earn stars without paying real money or enter sensitive information whereas Iphone users has to do all that and the only choices are watching ad and stupid survey for a few measly stars. Extremely unfair.
Lately we have not received any stars for the tasks we have completed in the "free stars" section. It has never been a problem until the last update (1.9.7), and we have tried different types of tasks from different providers. Because of this we are led to believe it may be a problem with the app and not the ads. We hope it will be fixed soon, we love this app. Thank you for your time.
We have had this game for a long time and Ive enjoyed it a lot. The latest update for us causes the game to crash and close before it gets to the title screen. Please fix this.
This game is pretty cool we were going to give it an immediate 5 stars but the sound for the game died so we redownloaded it but theres still no sound at all.

We cant get the game to open anymore. Ive been playing for several months now, and the game has been working fine until now. For the past 24 hours or so, every time we try to open the game, it starts to load and then a message comes up saying There was an error while modifying the data in the device. Please check the storage space. Click Confirm to start again. It doesnt work, no matter how many times we click confirm, the box just pops up again. And we definitely have enough storage. Ive deleted many apps and pictures trying to get it to work. Please help! We really want to keep playing this game, and really dont want to lose any of our progress.
Ive been playing your game Mandrake boys for a long time and we really love the game, but Im wonder that if we recommend this to a friend will we both be rewarded like some other games do? We really love this game, but the expedition keeps loading whenever we tap on it. Yes, we did try waiting, and it still continued to say loading. Please please PLEASE fix it. We assume its because of the recent special mandrakes since the issue didnt happen until we picked it.
Its a cute concept but there are quite a few glitches for us. Whenever we try to access bamboo forest or three star characters for example, the app freezes so we literally cant access that part of the game. The rate at which we get currency compared to how expensive things are is also quite unbalanced.
We downloaded this game after reading that it was a slow, relaxing game, but we can't seem to connect to the servers at all every time we try to begin with signing in with a username, and we're not really sure what to do.

We had trouble playing when we upgraded our phone but now everything works fine! Great, laid back game.
For the begging when it says enter a username we tried it said we couldnt did again different names after a bunch of tries we started putting random letters and it still says nickname in use.
We downloaded the game and it seemed fine the title screen showed up and everything but we went to create a username and connect it to our Game Center and it wont let us it keeps saying we have a bad internet connection which we dont and to restart the app which we did many times so we dont know what to do now.
We tried twice with this game and honestly while its relaxing its way to boring. Its takes forever for new boys to pop up in the countless seedlings. And all the good seeds cost stars which are pretty much only obtained through purchase. There is nothing else to do but wait for them to grow. Just not worth the time.
We dont normally write reviews for games, but we felt the need to do so for this one. Mandrake Boys is a game that doesnt require an extensive amount of time, yet you still get so much out of it. Exactly as the game advertises, all you have to do is log in every now and then and make sure to tap the pots so you can collect the characters. If you want to pay for stars to get rarer characters, then you can, but we have yet to feel a need to. Partly because this game is so relaxing that Im not stressed about it and partly because you can gather stars and coins in the game. Though paying is rather rewarding to; when you unlock particular seeds with stars that grow rarer characters you do not have buy them again to grow those seeds. We think that makes this game very fair. Aside from all of that, the boys are very cute and we love getting rewarded with little dialogue stories and illustrations. If youre a fan of anime or you like anime boys, then we say play this game.
We love this game, its great. We only have 3 problems and thats really it. 1. The game keeps crashing constantly which is a bummer because its a lovely game otherwise. 2. The stars take FOREVER. We do appreciate letting us have the option to earn them instead of only paying though. But maybe you could introduce a sort of frenzy mode or something? 3. Whatever happened to mandrake girls? We had it on an old phone then a year or two later we went to download it again and its completely wiped from existence? Im sure that this was the company that created it. First it said it wasnt compatible with our phone anymore but then it was off the store entirely. Please bring it back :( Ill gladly play both games.
This is a fun and easy collection game. We've been playing for a couple of years now. We've noticed that it's getting more frequent in crashing. We usually can do everything before it crashes, but today it crashed multiple times before we could do everything. (we log in once daily.).
So Ive been enjoying Mandrake Boys for a while. Its nice being able to open the app whenever and just collect cute art and characters before putting down the phone and moving on. The game is straightforward and the stories can be amusing. Unfortunately, its not a perfect experience as the game has a few issues that should be worked on. One of them being that the News pop-ups and notifications tend to disappear, especially on events and specials that are still going. We recently couldnt finish a limited event mandrake set because the time limit for that event stopped appearing on the news feed. It would be nice if the devs can look into this issue. Another issue is that some chapters, and sometimes event stories are poorly translated either with typos or very awkward word choices. Proof-reading these translations is much appreciated.
We like the game and the illustrations and animations are just adorable. However every time we try to buy stars the purchase would go through but the stars never appear. Im disappointed because we have to refund it or else we end up wasting our money. Its nice game to play when youre bored or to see good art but we cant purchase anything unfortunately.
An easy going collectible game. Pros: Great art, easy to start, fun stories, continual updates Cons: Frequent typos, in game currency is hard to obtain.
It was deleted for a short amount of time and when we downloaded it back, it never gave us our old characters or anything its the worst thing ever.
This game is really fun, but is also very slow and dull. Half of the game you cant even play without buying mandrakes that cost up to 1000 stars. And the stars are in even worse conditions cause it takes forever to get enough stars to buy something. The coin collections are really slow including the potion making.

This is honestly one of the cutest and one of the most relaxing games we have ever played. We would highly recommend playing this game! The reason why Im giving it a 4/5 stars is because for whatever reason, (might just be happening to us), when we try to get free stars and we complete and action, Im not getting the rewards for completing the action. We might just be misunderstanding this feature because we tried the [Web Game] Guess that Pokmon and all the rules said was to guess the Pokmon. Im guessing you have to get all of them correct in order to get the reward even though it is not specified in the rules. Sorry if this is a misunderstanding but overall the game is really really awesome.

This game is adorable, and we love collecting new mandrakes, but the rate at which you earn money versus how quickly you spend it is absolutely atrocious. If you never buy stars it could take days to save up enough to go on an expedition, and then youre stuck waiting days again. We dont even want to talk about getting potions for mixing mandrakes thats a joke all in itself. Everything about this game is painfully slow, and we find ourselves losing interest because all we do is wait for enough coins to wait anywhere from 1 to 4 hours to watch a cut scene less than a minute long. And you have to do this several times per illustration… The pay off just isnt there. There also arent any events outside of sales, so it makes us feel like the entire purpose of this game is just to get money from you. Also the rewards center never works, so good luck getting free stars.
This is truly a phenomenal idle game. As the description says, it's perfect for popping in and out of over the course of a busy day, and the game really only requires as much attention as keeping real-life houseplants, but without the constant danger of the cat knocking the pot over and getting soil all over the carpet. Progress is SLOW, but patience is kind of what gardening is all about. There are ways to speed things up if you don't like waiting, though in-app purchases are a bit dear (but are also by no means mandatory!) The music, particularly at night, is also extremely relaxing, and adds to the overall calm, patient ambience of the game. So, as the description says, this isn't a game that's going to demand a lot of time or force you to play for hours within little event windows or require a lot of concentrated thought. Just try it. Cultivate it. Enjoy it.
