Honestly havent been able to put it down since we started.
Simple yet fun game. Our buddy has been playing Maple Story for a while and told us to try the Idle version, definitely has not let us down. Makes us want to get the full version of the game.

Nexon did a great job bringing back nostalgia and idle, without needing to grind 10+ hours a day to keep up. Absolutely amazing and beautiful game. Im okay with spending money on cosmetics. More group content please.

Played this on our iPad with our keyboard and it was almost like we were playing maple story on the computer. Lol the keyboard definitely made it more enjoyable.

We just started playing maybe an hour ago, but so far so good !! We can usually tell for ourselves l, if a game is going to be right for us in the first 10 mins, but this game has us hooked !! Cant wait to see what other amazing things they have in store.
Reminds us a lot of MapleStory M. Its a great idler, and if you love MapleStory youll feel right at home.

It has qualities of the OG maplestory with a modern mobile/gacha twist. We think it could be great if they dont make it totally P2W.
Wasnt sure what to expect on this one but so far this is exactly what we would have wanted Long time maple player from the OG days, always dreaming about auto playing / afk to level certain zones back then without cheating. This version is basically that dream come true In game purchases so far are fairly reasonable compared to most mobile games Ive been seeing lately – though Im sure it may get pricier as you progress Overall if you like maple story and idle games this is a great contender, especially for the OGs.

Played original maple as a kid, idle version is cool for nostalgia, game runs great.
Combines awesome auto gaming with maple story nostalgia perfectly.
Finally a maplestory game we can at work without thinking! We miss the old ones but so far Im liking it. Great for anyone who wants gaming at work without focusing too much on it.
The game is fun. Quite a bit to do as an idle game. Im not sure if its because our phone is older, but we cant play longer than 5 minutes at a time. The back of our phone gets extremely hot and the battery drains about 10% every few minutes. Its also laggy, and Waiting on Server Response pops ups every 10-20 seconds which takes away from the smooth gameplay.
Fun but the servers are SO bad and the app crashes like crazy.
Enjoying it so far, pretty chill and rewarding idle game.

As a long time maple fan we enjoy this. Heavy on pay to win but its not impossible. Plus its nice to not have to grind. If you miss maplestory but dont have the time for main game its good. Biggest complaint only one character per server. Thats stupid and from what Im aware this is the first maple story where your forced to switch servers just to try another character.
Please add support for backbone mobile controller.
This game is good enjoying it so far. The only problem is we cannot purchase anything in the game store every time we try to purchase something it says unauthorized.
Nostalgic fun game that bares its teeth once you look at the monthly passes and battle pass stuff. For an idle game that debuffs you and your progress via these features reminds you constantly that your progress is capped hard. A quick fix is to lock the monthly passes via ads. Watch maybe like 30 ads in a row. This current model is gross.
Better than some idle games and less predatory but forced slow progression feels bad at around level 30+.
We play it for nostalgia, but its really intensive on our phone. It eats up battery and overheats the system. Ive also spent maybe half our time waiting to reconnect to server, or closing the app after it freezes and trying to log back in. God forbid you try to do too many things at once, like summon an Elite Monster and then try to open your menu, because youll often lag out.
This game looks great, but its a complete money sink. EVERYTHING is monetized. After 15 minutes logging on you are completely out of things to do unless you spend. Barely even a game at all, and any real progress only happens when you SWIPE your credit card.
After the tutorial you hit a wall, hard, when it comes to progression. We dont mind a grind, but we dont want to feel like Im being held up for a few dollars. The game looks beautiful, and sounds like Maplestory, thats a big win by itself. We hope in the future we can get multiple character slots. We dont like the idea of having to make multiple accounts to see the other classes ourselves.
So tired of having to request this in 2025. 5 star lowered to 2 pending controller support. Wouldnt be nearly as big of a deal if one of your main areas didnt have a platforming section or if your jump button reliably triggered. Maple story went from relaxing to infuriating REAL fast. Add controller support.
It auto play, but the game app is still on. Cant exit the app and use other app. It doesnt run in the background or offline. Its like leaving game on pc to autoplay while you go make food or something. AFK autoplay. Horrible for phone. We kept app on for 10 minutes on auto, no touching phone, and our phone burned up. There needs to be offline mode. Gameplay is as we remember MS classic to be.
We love maplestory been playing for year have high hopes for this game. Hate the real grind on the computer.
What did you expect, it's Nexon. One extra star because at least it's Maplestory content, but don't expect much different than Maplestory M other than the fact that it plays the game for you EVEN MORE this time. Also, the abilities are immediately way over the top, even the beginner mage bolt is a massive AoE and it's the first mage spell you get. Just not really in the spirit of progression of what made Maplestory great in the first place. Don't see ourselves playing more than ~2 hours before we're completely suffocated by tutorials on how to spend money / gamble. Hopefully Maplestory Classic next year isn't a total dumpster fire? We won't hold our breath, knowing Nexon.
