Pros: Remote management of APEX strike missions Make single player and multiplayer currency on the go Cons: our strike teams that should have a 93% chance of success only succeed 50% of the time… Constant disconnects and subsequent log-ins Over all… It’s a free app that allows you to progress in game.. On the go. This is an App, not a game.
Needs work, very useful but it’s annoying to be required to sign in every time. Also it’s not wanting to even load atm.
When we’re done with strike teams, we close out the app. When we open it back up, we need to re-log in with our credentials more often than the last build of the app. The actual features are useful for Andromeda itself, but the disconnects are a seemingly unnecessary road block.
Re-logging every time we start the app is annoying and unattractive. We don’t use this app as much as we used to. Maybe once a day. Maybe.
Okay, the crash when looking at the Revive Pack Transmitter has been fixed, but we never get sound alerts when our Strike Teams complete their missions, a fix would be greatly appreciated.
Menus are a little bit faster. It only takes 2 taps to accept a strike team mission now (it only needs 1), but it takes 4 to send one out. Like, we honestly do not care at all about any of the mission info besides which strike team had the highest chance of beating it, and it takes a whole 3 taps with menu transitions to get there. Snappier than the last version. Keep improving it!
We play Mass Effect and enjoy the game. So when we saw a app to keep touch with our character and strike teams, we were like "h*ll yeah!" But when we set up account and logged in, we notice something… YA DONT HAVE MY SYSTEM! You shouldn’t expect to have a large fan base and cut off a big group of them from stuff like this. It irritates us when we try to stay connect with games and we can’t obtain them because we haven’t spent an extra $3000 to buy a new system and more. We’re not angry about Bioware, they’ve done an amazing job with their games, we just forgot why everyone hates EA. -Yours Truly, @Elmerlicus.
So when we go to sign into our EA account, it says safari won’t connect due to too many redirects. So you get one star. Phone apps should be easy.
The accounts webpage to ea seems to not load, we gave it 5 minutes but we think it’s just broken right now.
When this works properly and not bugs (which we’re not seeing but other people are complaining) the app is great and is useful for strike teams!
We love this app because it allows us to manage our strike teams when we’re away from our Xbox. The only problem we have is that the all crashes when we try to swap our weapons out on our character, presumably because it has problems comparing the stats. Besides that, it’s extremely convenient. Well done!
However, it’d be nice if every time we try to log into the app while our PlayStation is paused in the background, that we didn’t get logged out of the app. The pop-up notifying us that we need to log off our PlayStation before using the app makes sense. Wasn’t sure if that was a bug or intentional design.
We love being able to cycle our strike teams for loot and one of the multiplayer currencies. But it’s really annoying that the app forgets our login every other day. Keep us logged in. You’ll get a 5 star rating from us if you fix that. Also. Sort of a missed opportunity to make a top down turn based tactical game for the mobile version.
Ever since the release of the Apex companion app it has been nothing but buggy when logging in. Log in, app crashes. Log in, error message followed by having to reselect which profile to use. Log in, error message followed by having to reenter email and password. Even after multiple updates this is still an issue.
This is one of those apps that asks for a login every single time even if you select "keep us logged in". Also, if you are playing the game, and try to use the app, you will be prompted to log out of the game before the app will work. We only give the second star because there is a vague potential here.
Trying to use it on a daily time to keep up our squids is hard considering it constantly does errors on logging in. It’s a good app to do while on break but that one issue is a pain.
The app is pretty useless, it just tells us there’s too many redirects and stops loading.
We could barely log missions prior and now we can’t log in . We’ve deleted and downloaded time and time again . What a useless app . Jesus Christ there aren’t even any animations ! You could have made this app in a freaking word processor with the same effort and it might have actually worked better . Also getting logged out literally every single time this garbage app closes is absolutely frustrating . ESPECIALLY WHEN THE APP IS ABLE TO SEND ME NOTIFICATIONS THAT MY TEAMS HAVE COMPLETED MISSIONS ! HOW AM we NOT LOGGED IN !?!?!? Since the update we have fair every single mission since. What did you do?
We downloaded this primarily for the ability to send our strike team out on missions while we’re away from our PS4. Instead of being able to rack up experience for our newbie teams, we’re forced to wait until more bronze missions appear. Very frustrating, but expected from EA.
Works for what we use it for strike mission.
Works seamlessly! Great sending teams on missions throughout the day, constant flow of mission funds! Reviewing and changing loadouts is seamless. We’ve yet to experience one issue.
Just downloaded it and haven’t noticed any problems yet and Yes there is a bit of lag but it’s nothingI can’t handle. So far it’s a pretty good app in our opinion.
Has connection issues occasionally. This app will enable you to send out strike teams which can get you supplies, weapons and resources for single player, which is nice.
Our previous log-in problems seem to be resolved and with the added functionality the app now provides (and the fact that mission funds now have extra uses), this app is heading in the right direction.

Using the app for the Xbox One. Has worked well for us, no bugs/glitches/login issues so far. However if you’re going for the achievement of getting a strike team to level 20, make sure they don’t reach that level while you’re using the app or you won’t get the achievement for it and will have to get a second team up to that level.
It just needs a lot of work. It seems to crash a lot.
Apex mission keeps saying all squads are on a mission. Even though no squads are on a mission. Any NEW missions that show up, we can send squads on with no issues.
Where’s the codex? We don’t have time to sit in front of the TV and read for hours, but I’d love if the Codex synced and we could read offline. We think they had this for Mass Effect 3. Please add this!
It’s useful for doing strike team missions when away from the game, reading news updates, and changing load outs both away and while dead or down on mission so you’re ready later. That being said it’s so slow it takes at least about 30 seconds to change info on screen and then since you mostly clicked on a button multiple times you get an error saying something about how you can’t do whatever you were trying to do and then you gotta wait for the error to go away. It gives off such an unresponsive feel it’s incredibly hard to use. Also it usually remembers your login info but it does randomly sign you out while the apps in use which is annoying. We really want to give it a three star rating but we just can’t.
Do not buy your teams more than one piece of equipment! It will overwrite the first piece and it gives you no warning. You just lose MUs with nothing to show for it. Other than that we love the app and use it everyday. Just do yourself a favor and do not buy equipment.
Ideally the app is very useful, but it’s insanely slow and riddled with bugs. Only worth enduring if you need the mission funds for multiplayer gear sets.
The previous version added the ability to use the app while the game was open, so we could manage our strike teams without having to go back to our ship or quit the game, but now you took that away again?!
It won’t let you use the app while in-game but other than that it’s fine.
Every time we open the app we’re logged out. In another session or something is the error message. Every. Time. The only value add in the app to begin with is the strike team functionality. And that is buried under multiple selections of UI. Slap an authentication issue at login on top, and it is now way more hassle than the app is worth.
Requires us to have to re-login at least once a day. The interface is cumbersome. Only slightly better better than in game.
Slow and unresponsive throughout the app. Frequent crashes and requests to log in. Garbage. We expect better from EA.
After updating the app it now crashes whenever we swap weapons on the character loadout screen. We tested this with multiple characters and multiple weapons. We also noticed that the incorrect weight ratio is displayed on top which does not line up with the actual game. It is showing to be a heavier weight ratio than what is shown in game, which may have something to do with the crash. If you want his portion of the app to be usable, we would recommend holding off on the update until this bug is fixed!
This app needs some improvements. No scratch that it needs to just actually work.
Only works with pc accounts and it’s impossible to connect any other account to use the app.
The only thing it’s good for is strike missions. Other then that a waste of time. Doesn’t even load our character or show attachments. Not worth the time.
Constant log in errors only to find that it still does not work with Xbox accounts, only PC.
Terrible app. Don’t waste your time downloading it. Constantly errors out and makes you login or crashes or doesn’t respond.

It feels like the same UX designer on the game had some hand in making this app because it’s just as terrible and non intuitive as the game UI. The main draw here for us was the ability to access your strike teams because it’s cumbersome in game and to be able to quickly equip our characters. It should be smooth and quick. It’s neither. From the login errors that fail to keep you logged in, that takes you to an external site to login, to the features that you want to use that are buried in multiple menu selections to having to repeat an excessive amount of selections every time you want to assign a team to a mission; it’s just easier to log into your console/pc and use it there rather than this garbage. We understand it took some work to make this app but to not consider the user experience is a disservice to the people using your app and a waste of time. We don’t even use it anymore because of these glaring oversights that make it inconvenient rather than the opposite.
