Love this game. Need more this type of game not like any now a days game where you have spend so much time and money but this game has amazing adventure and tricks and puzzles. We use iPhone 11 Pro Max and it runs smoothly and graphic is awesome. But the only issue is game keep crashing after we reach chapter 6. But other then that we love it.
We read the reviews pretty thoroughly prior to purchasing this game, and made the decision to give it a try. A lot of people said the controls were crappy and that the game crashed consistently. Controls were fine once you got the hang of it… We played on an iPhone XS Max so maybe thats why they worked well for us. A smaller device would probably pose some issues if you have abnormally large thumbs The game itself was done well graphically and the puzzles were not too difficult to where we would get frustrated. We loved how many levels there were, made for good game play for about a week on and off for us personally! Only crashed a few times when we were trying to solve a puzzle the incorrect way… The character would get stuck and it would close out the app. Not a huge problem. Overall awesome game and looking forward to seeing more from this developer. Thanks for the fun!!

The best game we have ever seen.
It has a lot of graphics that are good.
It has a bug at the moment after the vine episode it keeps closing out the app and now a week later its just blank black screen whenever we open the app.

Good game just finished the game on iPhone 11 Pro Max . A few bugs here and there but overall good game.
We downloaded this and then didnt play it for a while. We finally got around to it, and then couldnt put it down! We loved it! Great storyline, excellent puzzles, great game mechanics, creative, and beautiful to look at. The cut scenes are really well done. Five stars all the way. Once it a while the game winked out and we had to reload but it always brought us back to where Id left off and not much progress was lost. Occasionally we got stuck but a quick internet search for walkthroughs always helped. We wish there were more games like this. Highly recommend.
This game is full of action and mind-bending puzzles that make you utilize your reflexes and wits to finish. That being said this game is colorful and cinematic almost like playing a movie. This is the type of action game we were looking for.
Please make another game like this! We play this over and over. One of the best games out there!
The graphics were excellent. The gameplay was challenging, entertaining and lasted for quite a while. There were a couple of times when the game got super laggy and it made the game unplayable until you completely close the program and went back in because parts of the game require good timing. This only happened a couple times (iPhone X).
K so we finished the game problem is at the end where they play and max is flinged outta the house after that the game crashes and when we go back it plays the same thing again so fix that please.

We were really surprised how much gameplay they packed into this app. There are 20 total chapters with really engaging, colorful and lifelike graphics. Definitely has a 3D feel even though youre only moving in 2 dimensions. New mechanics are added along the way, each one being pretty straightforward but as they combine there are some interesting puzzles. The controls arent 100% reliable, so get used to dying a lot, but it saves your progress often so you dont have to backtrack much. Really glad we got this app!
We have been stuck at the tower stage it seems like forever. Cant seem to swing past the lava and get enough height to catch the rope. Is this an issue anyone else has experienced? And we have had to deal with all the issues others have written about too. Its very frustrating and no matter how great the game is, it loses its draw quickly for us.
We love the quality of this game but we feel like the main menu could do with some work. Plus the game could do with some checkpoints since the stages are a bit long. Sometimes when Im halfway through a stage, we need to stop but Ill have to start all over again! The game gets laggy as you get further and worst of all, it crashes and you have to start all over again! We paid $5, so trust us, Im expecting nothing but the best.
This game is fun but it is too intricate for a Xs screen. There are times when you need to activate an item only to find the move control is over where you need to do something else. Plus, things are very difficult to see on the tiny screen with so much going on and you miss so many things.
This is a beautiful game and fun to play, but like others we got a scene that we cannot get past and it clearly cannot be overcome unless we try a different console. Im on our iPhone XR. We get to the tower section and make it to where we crash through a plank, draw and grab a rope, bust through a wall, and then we need to wormhole to a rope but nothing we do lets us catch that rope. Fix it!
The controls dont work to get to a branch below in Father Oak chapter. Disappointed we cant get further. We liked the game.
Ton of potential to be fun but so broken in so many places. So many screens where elements the character needs to manipulate are buried under the touch control stick. Wanted to love it but there are mad issues.
Save files cannot be synced between devices.
Was going to give this 5 stars, but we lost our progress and was sent back to the beginning of a level multiple times.
We love this game and its really fun but level 4-1 theres a glitch that makes it so you cant push the block into the wall and get the 3rd eye. We were able to finally get it in the hole after 10 min playing with it but then it was stuck in the cave and couldnt be pushed or pulled out to complete that room. We had to skip that eye. :/
Im a few levels in now, on level 5 we think, and we just gotta say this is one is one of the best iOS games we’ve experienced. Well done!
This game is adventure side-scroller that is full of wit and charm. Puzzles are decently challenging and has a great adventurous feel to it. The quality of the controls and graphics is very high. For any fan of Oceanhorn, or action/adventure side scroller, you will thoroughly enjoy this game. Buy it is our advice to you.

We grew up playing mario and duck hunt at 5 years old, to owning a PS4 and Switch today. We’ve played just about all the greats, the classics, old and new. This is simply a very well executed 3D sidescrolling puzzle game. Looks awesome on the XS Max. Very impressive graphics. No hiccups with this game (at least for me). Just a well rounded fun game that has gotten us excited about gaming on our iPhone again.

This and oceanhorn are the 2 best games on mobile that are just like a console game. Great job! Cant wait for more games. We love the buy once play forever as well.
Hands Down. This is the best game we’ve ever bought for our IPhone. We had so much fun. Its a long perfectly difficult platform/puzzle game, and its just a blast. It was a long effort to complete but we wish it was twice as long. The only complaint we have is when its finished we cant play anymore new levels. We cant wait for Max 3! Awesome game.

The game reminds of Limbo, but has the opposite atmosphere joyful and bright, rather than horrific and dark. The animations between gameplay are wonderful. They make you feel like youre participating in a movie. The controls could be tighter and it would be nice to be able to adjust the position of the movement circle. On the iPhone X it feels to low on the screen, making down difficult. But, overall, great game!
This port is a true marker of quality, its amazing how we have current gen graphics on a mobile device. If youve played the console version of this game youll be right at home here in this version. Great job development team, we look forward to what you have coming down the pipeline in the future!
The developers for this game all deserve a raise, we’ve only been playing a little while and this is easily one of the best games we have ever played. Great to finally enjoy a game outside of the fighting and shooting genre’s. Keep up the great work.
We’ve never been even remotely into gaming, but this is so beautiful and so much fun! We love that our whole family enjoys it, from ages 5 to 47. (Were working on Grandpa too.) Thanks for opening up a new world to us!

This is one of the Best and Brightest games we have played on the iPhone. Not only are the graphics out of this world! The storyline for each stage is well thought out and fun to play. We only hope there is another Max adventure for the iPhone in the works and released very soon. Our hat goes off to everyone that had a part in bringing this amazing game to the App Store. Really enjoyed this game. One of the best we have played on the App Store. It resembles the game Limbo in its puzzles. However, as you progress through the game u gain new powers that you have to combine to progress. Also, great graphics. On the downside, the controls do have some problems with the xs, but not enough to take the fun away.

The graphics are gorgeous on the iPhone X. Acting is very well done and gameplay/level design has been engaging so far. 1 problem is that every time we use the marker the Game Center achievement Just Getting Started continues to pop up. The achievement is for using the marker 25 times and we are well past that now. It kind of ruins the gameplay having a bar flash every 2 seconds on top of the screen. Please fix ASAP.
