Find out what gamers are saying about Maze: Subject 360 HD – A Mystery Hidden Object Game (Full):

Very good creepy game. It made us jump, but loved this game :)

We really liked this game. It had the elements of adventure, Hidden object, and escape games all in one. It was not too difficult which we walk in a game as we play games to chill out and relax. And because of the horror elements it was exciting to play. A nice twist on the adventure type game.

We almost certainly in the minority here, but we are very, very tired of the seemingly never ending parade of icky sweet games from BFG. Our favorite game is True Fear, and this one reminds us of that gem. It’s disturbing, and has no cute fairies nor smiling elfs that you get to dress. The game play is different and a bit twisted. We don’t often review games here, but this one we felt deserved special note.

A while ago there was a game on here called True Fear that was pleasantly creepy without being childish or overly violent. At the end the user was told that it was only the first half. Much time has gone by and no second part ever appeared. Now this game, another one well thought out with intelligent puzzles and an actual plot! Just as creepy and claustrophobic with a lot reasonable protagonist and a creepy villain. We’re in hopes the quality will hold up all the way through but a huge leap in every category. Even the puzzles are better and have a point that moves the plot forward. Definitely one that belongs in everyone’s keeper list.

We love that it wasn’t like all the other cookie cutter ho/adventure games. More please.

We went to tree web site and found that we had really enjoyed more of there games. Happy playing!

Great game!! Passed all our expectations!

Great game , we usually think of creepy games or even movies tht r over done or childish , but this one is just perfect , it brought us chills , but the right amount tht we don’t just leave the game coz we would do if it’s too pointlessly scary , anyway ,well well thought of game ,great job .

We will make it short and sweet. Awesome hidden objects game and one of the best we ever played! Storyline was great with a flow that had plenty of moments to make your heart skip a beat. Storyline leaves it open for multiple ways to make this a trilogy and then some. Bravo and please make another one.

The best game EVER. Would have given it 6 stars. Very creepy.

Very good! So different from others HOS games… Great storyline and some creepy scenes… We loved it!!

Although it is still the kind of Big Fish game we know and love, it also was very different! We really liked the story line, we hated the little/evil girl and the music was creepy. Before we could get bored with the MAZE, it took us somewhere else. Before the dark, gray coloring started to get to us, the creators too us to another place… It was very fun, interesting and we DEFINATELY recommend it! Some people said its not for kids, but we played with our 8 year old. Nephew and we were more creeped out than he was! You gotta give this one a chance!

As you find out as the story progresses, you are driving down a dark, curvy, and narrow road during a storm; and as you grow weary, you veer off the road. You wake up in a motel room, which you checked into; and a child’s voice is speaking to you over a loudspeaker that you need to find your way out to prove your worthiness. Will you pass the test? This game screams of creepiness galore and is disturbingly twisted. The graphics are very dark and broody using many shades of browns, grays, and black to create an ominous, menacing environment. The artwork portrays a chilling and suspenseful mood as you explore the dilapidated, abandoned motel. The little girl is a real bugger and is going to give us nightmares. This game is reminiscent of Dorian Gray: Brink of Consciousness with a villainous voice taunting the main character. There are four modes of difficulty with the option to customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The fast teleportation map, located under the menu, indicates available actions in custom mode. You have a journal, which includes your objectives and holds some clues; however, the clues did not help solve any puzzles or actions so far. There is a beneficial back button, and transition between scenes is smooth. Locations are labeled between scenes. Sometimes you are given a choice to make certain decisions to affect an outcome, such as either promptly opening a door or investigating first. You will also have flashbacks that initiate upon touch of certain objects; you will interact in these flashbacks. The HOS are mainly word lists with some interaction; another type was to find items on a picture in accordance with the little girl’s narration. The puzzles were very fun and relative to the storyline. You had a clue based puzzle where you find three sets of numeric codes in a room by interacting in your environment; then you enter the codes on the door to get out. Another type was when the room fills up with water, and you open a chest to play a maze puzzle to deplete the water. That was a twisted idea! You collect spirals in the locations and morphing objects in the HOS. You have a spiral indicator to the right of the inventory bar. The extras include your achievements, jigsaw puzzle, and character gallery. Overall, there is nothing negative to report except for placing the map and journal under the menu. But this game is very entertaining with an innovative storyline containing some twisted elements. It’s a must play!

AWESOME GAME, GREAT THEME, GOOD LENGTH, GREAT GRAPHICS. Could have taken the maze monsters up a level and we had trouble with the game almost freezing a few times but we really liked it. The bonus game was pure dissapointment though. Overall great game!

We are loving this game. It starts out a little slow but once you get going it’s very exciting. Really creepy which we love. We have had to use the hint button a few times but most of it flows well and the clues make since. There is a map and the storyline is great. We are very glad that we bought it.

We love Mad Head games! They have yet to disappoint. They have some of the most beautiful and unique games big fish releases. This one is a little darker than most, both in content and actual brightness and the little girl who guides you through the game is just spot on creepy! Puzzles are fun and it is more story driven than most, which gives it a point and click feel, which we love. Get it and enjoy!

If you want to loose sleep this game is for you, it has a healthy quantity of fear and a pinch of madness. We rather thought the game itself was short in comparison to other games the developers have created, but we never pass up a chance to play their games. As usual you have journal, collectibles and bonus play, but don’t go in expecting this to be a queen of flames type of game nor is it rite of passage. It is scary, not for the faint of heart. We usually love the soundtracks they use but in this instance we chose to play with no sound because it was that scary. Happy gaming!

Fantastic game and finally a long game. Would you believe the first night of playing the game we had nightmares? At the beginning the game tends to be quite intense.

Great game. Very long, we almost wondered if it would end.

Awesome game.. Very well written, great music and images. This is a very hard game and not for beginners.. The hints are good.. But it still requires a lot of you as the player. We are totally pleased with this game.. It pushed us to the edge and we were never bored… More games with this detail please!!!!

Totally fun. One of our all-time favorites. Really well done, holds one’s interest.

Very good, long, scary game. Excellent storyline, nice pacing and a few jump scares. 5 stars and will be looking forward to buying more games from this developer.

A little different and definitely creepy at times, overall a fun hidden object game.

Greetings, Gamers: ‘All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream" -Edgar Allan Poe we’ve never had a game actually invade our sleep, serving as catalyst for nightmares — until we started playing this one. Entry into that portal has been reserved for the likes of Stephen King, Wes Craven, John Carpenter and Alfred Hitchcock. In a word: WOW! Hats off to you, Mad Head, for producing another fresh, innovative, creative and truly spine-chilling masterpiece of gameplay. We too had the code error message appear in the chicken coop but clicked the x button in the upper right corner and it vanished. We agree with MikeBeachBum: we get tired of the cutesy, cookie cutter fairy tale type stuff we seem to get a lot of, which is another reason why this game sets itself apart from the others. Not run-of-the-mill, not same old same old but new, original and exciting. Bravo, Mad Head Games. Take a bow. We’ll see y’all in our nightmares. Until next time, fellow maze crawlers, May the slumbering stars light your way.

Different puzzles then many of the other HOP. Great story line. This we would play again and again.

Loved this game! They had such great new ideas – and we thought the game was ending but it surprised us and kept going. That was a nice surprise, sometimes these newer games seem too short. We loved how creepy it was! More of these please and we’ll buy every one!

Dark and scary, it often feels more like being in a movie than playing a game. Characters have personality and are voiced well. Unlike so many games of this sort, you don’t know what’s going to happen next yet everything is logical within its very creepy world. The HOS are filled with object appropriate to the location and most of the many puzzles are good. Despite the bonus chapter being told from a different character’s POV, it enriches the story instead of being tacked on. Big Fish billed it as groundbreaking and it is.

This game was, by far, one of the best games we have ever played. It’s not your typical hidden adventure game, it has a twist to it. We wish there were more like this concept. The storyline was easy to follow, graphics were great, even caught us off guard a time or two. The only complaint we have to say is that it takes entirely too long switching from one scene to another. Way too much down time, which is extremely frustrating. Especially when you only have so much time to play before leaving for work. So, if you’re looking for something to do, or want a good game to play, let us suggest this game. You won’t regret it.

Mad Head games did this and they lived up to their name so far! Game is dark and not a lot of color mostly shades of sepia like an old photograph so turn up your brightness on your iPad. Slight vertigo from the fast moving cut scenes. Basically you are stuck in a house of horrors and have to figure out how to get out while being tormented by a little girl… Or is she as she appears? You have several choices to make during the game that will determine how the game plays. We recommend keeping a notepad or camera phone handy to track clues. Journal is under menu as is map. Custom difficulty available as is transporting map. Creepy dolls everywhere and no doubt vermin will probably appear later (not done yet). Various HO types and morphing objects in HO. Collect mad head logo symbols. Game definitely keeps you mentally engaged and involved. Verdict: not for young or easily startled people, but for those that enjoy a challenge and like the insane asylum we say best of luck in the Maze! Update: this is a LONG game! Worth playing many times! P.S. NO vermin of consequence. Small one ran across background barely noticeable only one scene.

EXCELLENT! We love Mad Head Games. They always deliver a good game. The atmosphere of the game is perfectly creepy. The voice acting brings the game alive even more. Visuals are top-notch. Keep making great horror games Mad Head, and we’ll keep buying them.

Kinda reminds us of silent hill.

One of the best games we’ve ever played on big fish!

Different, twisted and really fun!!!!

Was not expecting that! Loved it! Very adult game. Very long and tons of extras!

We didn’t think it was as scary as some other reviewers, but we liked everything about it! Lots of extra items to search for throughout the game including morphing objects. Very long main game and bonus game. Crisp graphics, decent mini-games and storyline. Mad Head Games still has our vote for favorite developer of HOAG!

Even though a very dark game it turned into a real winner. Lots of puzzle to solve and makes you use your brain. This is one of the few games we didn’t play on our Mac because it started out so dark and dreary. It did have a couple of errors pop up but also gave you the way to get rid of them. One place the house went dark but if you turned to the left just like it was lit they came back on. By the way no rats. The errors and dark was why it didn’t get all 5 stars. Have left you several messages L/M but you evidently didn’t get them. Sorry you are in pain again. While your at the Cleveland Clinic we will be in the same state just on opposite ends. Been staying with our daughter ever since we had a pacemaker put in. A big shout out to all and lol and prayers to all. Keep the games coming B F it snows here didn’t have that problem on the west coast. Snooper-158.

Dracyy, thank you for the rodent update; you’re the best. Snooper, we missed you terribly! Welcome back to the Dream Team Elite; we love you and hope you’re feeling better! Also just finished playing Alawar’s amazing game Weird Park 3: The Final Show. Dream Team Elite and especially Dracyy, this is a must play! It has all the elements we like, the price was great, and it played flawlessly. We gave it 5 stars! Alawar is sure giving BigFish a run for their money, and at least Alawar gives you a free trial! Thank you KimT, for the recommendation! You have really gone out of your way to recommend games we would like, which help us to not focus on all our health issues! You and Dracyy are so amazing and empathetic! Love you both! On to the game! It was by Mad Head, one of our favorite developers. Usually their games are beautiful, but this was dark, twisted and disturbing, especially since we have a sleep disorder and suffer night terrors, worse than nightmares. But we manned up and played and it was an excellent game. The graphics were excellent, albeit dark. The cut-scenes were exciting and/or frightening, but at least there were no rats except in the HO scenes. Like their other games, you find a hidden symbol in each location. Morphing objects are only in the HO scenes, which were varied and interesting. You also have books where you place objects back into place to learn more of the story. You could customize your settings, there was instantaneous loading between locations, and there was a marked teleport map. Inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. The puzzles and mini-games were good, not just boring rotational stuff, and not hard, but still fun. The gameplay was smooth and glitch-free, and it flowed well. You had a journal which opened up automatically, a non-spoiler hint system, and a strategy guide. The only 2 reasons for not giving this game a full five stars was that you had to leave the game to get to the map (annoying), and for length. It had a bonus adventure but compared to their other games we felt it was a bit short. But it was definitely worth playing! BigFish is finally stepping up to the plate and bringing us some good games. We are excited to play the next 3! We are giving a big shout-out to the DreamTeam Elite! Welcome back, Snooper and her new pacemaker! Have fun playing again! From Lynxie.

We would give it a 5 star but had start over when we were in chapter 4 and got stuck because pick axe disappeared. We didnt want start over but story is good.

This is one of best games we’ve played in a very long time. It is dark but with enough color to keep it interesting. There are many challenges, but a strategy game without good challenges? A very dull and boring game. We could go on and on, but we think after reading other reviews you will hear it all. Now with all the wonderful praise why not 5 stars? Every time we went to the Strategy Guide then back to the game we had to reset the Options. This became so irritating we decided to use hints only. Frankly we almost gave only 3 stars. The only reason we didn’t was due to how much we like this game. We highly recommend Maze 360, but be aware it isn’t perfect. Have funnnnnnn.

Freaky Just getting started but after we read the reviews we also look at the guides on BF app to see what lies ahead. Hate dark graphics but perhaps it will be worth it.

Storylines OK games are OK we would like it to be a little more challenging in the games.

Creepy. Started w/ really bad graphics. Got better. But really tedious by the end- just wanted it to be over.

This game played really dark and the story part was too long and uninteresting. Regret buying this one.

Yes, this game is creepy, especially at first. Then, after a bit the special effects become boring. Subject 360’s voice is really irritating. It sounds like a woman pretending to be a man. The controls are not as responsive as I’d like. When going to another scene you have to tap twice, and if you don’t tap just right you can’t go forward. When returning to a previous scene, you have to tap an icon, which is counter-intuitive to the game. The game itself isn’t all bad. The mini games are intriguing, as are the hidden object scenes. And the premise is interesting. But next time we will not buy a game sight unseen, regardless of if it’s on sale.

The game kept freezing up on us. Within an hour of game play, it crashed. When we reopened the game, it told us that our profile was corrupted and the game deleted the profile. PROGRESS LOST! A bit upset that we have to start over. We’ll play this game as a last resort. We don’t want to risk wasting another hour for it to crash again and delete progress.

A scripting error and programmers code come up across the top of our game telling us that something was wrong in some line of code causing us not to get the feather when the bird got shot going through the door stopping us from going forward. But we were actually glad it did. Because that error confirmed our resolve to stop playing and ask big fish for our money back. This is not only one of the darkest, depressing sickest HOPS we’ve ever played, but it’s also one of the most BORING. We were playing it cause we downloaded and purchased it. But we wasn’t really enjoying it at all we play probably 3 different HOPS a week…. Never asked for money back because a game was so depressing and dull. Rather than feeling spooky playing it,I feel icky and sad… And we’ll just board. Sorry. .

Big Fish is greedy. Too bad because developer has a nice game.
