MechCom – 3D RTS is a Strategy/Simulation game from Roman Spiryagin, first launched in 14th June 2013.
It’s rated 9+ and currently has 84+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes MechCom – 3D RTS Stand Out

3D Real-time strategy with simple controls, units assembly, attractive graphics, upgrade system and challenging AI.

MechCom is a new fast-paced stable 3D action RTS that is optimised for mobile devices. It’s heavily influenced by the popular open-source RTS, Warzone 2100 and Dune. It takes place in the year 2100 when two corporations go at it deploying powerful mechs and heavy hardware from the mothership in a classic RTS environment in the hunt for resources. It uses fluid touch controls that are aimed for simplicity and ease of use. Classic old-school resource collection mechanics are favoured as well as simple clear graphics. There are a number of customised mechs you can build as well as various structures. There are also a handful of upgrades that you can utilise which can mean the difference between victory and defeat against a clever and challenging AI. Finally there are a large number of maps (zones) to choose from for Custom Games or you can go with a Ranked Game where the computer matches you to your skill level depending on your rank and how many promotion points you have earned to keep you challenged.

=== How To Play ===
Gameplay primarily consists of building individual units and structures on build pads. You build a refinery to harvest minerals and convert them to money. You then use the money to build a broad assortment of unit components, upgrades and an assortment of structures such as an Armory to unlock multiple component upgrades (also costing money) and a turret for example. Once you create your army, you can converge on the map to take control of Beacons where you can deploy more units. Capturing and keeping Beacons is vital in making your way across the map. Engage and eliminate all opponent units and structures to be declared the victor.

=== Game Features ===
• Basic Tutorial.
• Challenging AI.
• Simple 3D graphics.
• 7 Ranks to progress though.
• Simple large touch controls.
• 12 maps set in 3 different landscapes.
• NO ADS OR IN-APP PURCHASES EVER!
• Old-school resources collection system.
• 2 game modes (Ranked Game and Custom Game).
• 16 unique combinations of mechs PLUS UPGRADES!

=== Game Tips ===
• Strongest is not always best.
• Upgrades and key to victory.
• Hover chassis can go over water and works great for scouts.
• Speed is important. Build as fast and as efficiently as you can.
• Capture and keep as many Beacons as you can for the advantage.
• Collect as many minerals as you can before the enemy collects them all.

Good luck and have fun!

Community Insight:

This game literally keeps us on our toes, if we take our sweet time we have play the long waiting game so its fun trying to see how fast we can out smart the AI.

Great game but a bit shallow. The price is right.

The sea of mobile games may be over-saturated with cash grabs and cheap knock-offs, but you end up finding similarities for almost any game youd want to play thanks to that over-abundance. MechCom was initially our answer for StarCraft on mobile and will immediately appeal to fans of that game. Youll immediately start with building refineries for your all-important resource mining, and this step is key. MechCom has a finite amount of resources for each map and theyre clearly identified in yellow when you start. Its like chess, very easy to pick up and quite difficult to master. There are four different types of mount for your mechs and four different types of weapons, and an armory will upgrade key points multiple times for a cost. Initially, youll just be able to craft a handful of mechs and destroy opposition, but bigger maps give more available resources points. Focus on just a few and enjoy a never-ending swarm of enemy troops until youre broke and wiped out! The key here is to develop resource mining, keep it protected with troops or turrets, and quickly expand to other points to continue that resource flow. Heres a quick chart to get you started: Machine Gun – Fast to build, but weak. Cannon – Stronger, but still weak. Laser – Excellent for single troops or buildings. Rocket – Point and shoot, powerful and able to hit multiple targets. Wheels – Fast, but weak armor. Hover – Able to cross over water and bypass roads. Legs – Fast and sturdy. Treads – Tank-level plating but slow. This review should have you started on a path of development. The game will get increasingly difficult with time, it can get frustrating when you get swarmed by the enemy but later missions become a really enjoyable skirmish with a few hundred troops expended by battles end! Its fair to note that your troop AI is a bit dense and youll get frustrated with them not doing what youre telling them, and the double tap to select units can be spotty. The mechanics are a bit sloppy overall but the presentation and replay value is great, its one of the best dollars Ive ever spent on here and we highly encourage you to give it a try.

We ask for a simple fun game, and that is what this is. No forced ads and easy to get into. We would like to see more map diversity, but it is still a good game.

You can build two mechs and then no matter how much money you have we can only build 2/15. Those two cant even beat 1 computer mech. The touch controls work horrible on the iPhone 13. And theres no campaign.. Not worth $.30.

Game is bottom line great for killing time.

Once you figure out how to play the game, its hard to stop.

Bought the pack with all 3 MechCom games. Really enjoying the first one so far. Pretty simple controls, if a little touchy sometimes (pardon the pun). We would suggest trying out this one if you like strategy games on pc and havent found one for mobile gaming yet. Im playing this on our 9.7 screen iPad and its working great. Dont think Id play this on our phone with its smaller screen.

Its worth it! Where has this been the whole time.

Finally found a game that isnt pay to play. 99c and you get a great add free game. Gameplay has been good, mechanics are good, graphics are fine. Overall this is the best game we have found in a long time.

Pass on this game. It is not any fun and all the other revues are lies this game is bad! Difficulty very high no help in app just a cash grab from the developer.

Really simple controls and gameplay make this well worth .99 upfront cost. No ads or IAP to worry about, wish there were more games like this.

We were pining for our old days playing Starcraft, so we searched in the App Store for it. This game saved us from total disappointment. There is no mobile Starcraft, which is too bad, but this game is a great mobile alternative. The concepts are exactly the same, futuristic units, base development, resource management, and of course total domination of the map. The game cost $0.99, and has zero ads, and zero in-app purchases. You don't reach a point where you either have to wait, face insurmountable odds, or spend money to continue enjoying the game. There is great variety in the maps, and custom game setup. The graphics are good, not too sophisticated, and the controls are super simple. We have experienced no glitches or bugs so far. Strong work GameDevTeam. This app stands out in a sea of commercializations and ads. We'd gladly pay $0.99 for a game like this any day over all the free ones out there.

Why are the bots hacking? We can only have like 7 bots while the enemies have like 14 bots? Its unfair. They are also flying over water. The enemy bots have an advantage over our bots. Only 7 bots VS like 43 bots. Please make the game fair. Other than that, it is a very fun and addicting game.

Easy to get started and fun to play. A little confusing at first but you can figure it out. Definitely worth the $.

You cant go back from start a match.

Garbage bots are fkn overpowered bs system of play PASS TRUST ME YOULL THANK ME LATER.

So glad we wasted a whole dollar on this big pile of garbage.

We loved all the Starcraft RTS, and beat them all. We played them more than once. This may initially look like StarCraft but is not even a comparison. The game is terribly balanced. Its a waste of time and money. Very little to no strategy.

Like streamlined version of Command & Conquer. Fun RTS. Nice graphics.

Simple controls, lots of replay ability, fun rts game.

Reminds us of the game Dune II, which we wish was available. A favorite.

We downloaded this game before our 4 hour flight and we wished the flight was longer ; ).

This is possibly the best iOS RTS we've seen.

We like the mech game,it's fun try it out.

Downloaded before we seen second version but multi player if capable with teams so you can play with friends 5 stars tho love the game gives us our fix so we're not to stressed about not being able to play Starcraft or starceaft2 on our fone.

It will make this game even better.

We really love this game and the creators did an amazing job but there is so much more potential that isn't being used. And what bugs us is why can't we have multiplayer, boss robots more buildings, and a store not in match but to change you team color and like a hail strike ability and you might see were we're going with this right, good, but again what an amazing game.

So cool! It's is pretty easy considering the enemy doesn't upgrade their units or you can mass attack and you win, even on hard mode. But definitely has potential! We'd pay for an upgrade with harder levels, multiplayer modes, and more drones per refinery. 4/5 stars.

This game is a must have! If you don't have this you haven't lived in the mobile rts game dream. Love the game and great graphics.lets hope they update even more to make the game the top 1 rts out there.=).

Super cool game! Neat simple graphics and awesome gameplay and strategy. Here are some of our suggestions Online battle- Ranked and unranked matches online with other players connected with Game Center More currency- More than just minerals, like a gas or something that you need for more advanced units and buildings Grid Build- Being able to build in more than just the designated spots. If there's enough room for the building it should be able to be built there. Species- Different species with different ways about doing things and strategic advantages and disadvantages All those suggestions and this would be the best RTS for iOS and will make a fortune. Make those suggestions and put the price up to 4.99-9.99! Or redesign a whole new game including all these elements and be put in the "best new game" section of the apple market.

Although this game is clearly abandoned by the devs, it is still a good game. The only thing it lacks is a deselect button during gameplay, which can be forgiven. The only thing we would change would be to add more factions to battles, since some maps are 4 way symmetrical.

Not very challenging, but still very engaging. Also, our 7yr old loves it :).

We played a lot of RTS games and this is a great one. Easy controls, sweet upgrades, and battles are awesome! P.S. AI is just right Cutprintgoman.

Wow. This is one of the very few RTS games on mobile that is A. Fun, B. Not too intricate, and C. Doesn't try to screw you over with microtransaction bull. All we want is for the game to be slightly more deep. Like some more weapons for the mechs. Oh, and maybe have the rockets shoot on a randomized path instead of that one path they take. That's about it awesome job.

Most amazing game we have ever played.

Definitely not the worst rts we've played on a smart phone. Fun but challenging.

We play this game a lot and love it! Could use bigger maps, more enemies, maybe some missions….This game is the basis for something bigger. Hopefully the Game Dev Team is cooking up something for us.

This game is amazing great graphics gameplay and plAyer friendly the whole deal.

If you like RTS games, then you should defiantly give this game a try. It's well worth the .99 cent price tag.

This isn't the most intricate of real-time strategy games. In fact, the game is rather simple. If you want an RTS with dozens of different unit types and large, complex maps, this probably isn't the game for you (Take a look at Machines At War). That being said, the simplicity of this game makes it easy to learn so you can dive right into the action. It could definitely use a little mini tutorial, but still it doesn't take very long to figure out how to play. The game looks and sound great, the game play is top notch, the graphics are clean, and the software seems to be solid. We don't think we've experienced a single crash. If we had one minor complaint, it would be that moving to the harder levels just seems to start the computer off with more money so it can outbuild you at the outset. We would've preferred an engine that used more complex strategies as the levels went up, but we consider that to be a minor nit. Once you figure out a strategy of resisting the bum's rush at the hard level, it's not very difficult to win and we do hate games at which you can't win. In short, we can't find a single significant reason not to recommend this game. If you like RTS games, and you're looking for something simple & easy to learn we don't think you'll find a better choice. We know we've frittered away a fair number of hours playing. Kudos to the developers for a job well done. Thanks for the fun.

The game is our favorite game so far. We are a fan of RTS games. This has nice graphics and controls. Please fix these: It seems in skirmish that the Ai can have more than 15 units, but most of all make the max units higher. Also you should make more different types of mechs and different defences.

This game is awesome we wish they would add a helicopter. But still fun.

Really enjoyed this game. Has a great challenging strategy through all zones that we can beat but not all the time. Keeps us entertained.

A great game can you make it to were you and connect and play with friends? And can you make it to where you can build something to increase your supply?that would be great.

It's ok needs a lot of things like other teams and to make your own mechs and stuff.

This game is great! It's not super flashy but the us mechanics if the game are simple and easy to master. There are deffinatly all kinds of ways to win the map and that's what makes it fun. The AI aren't total pushovers either. One map you might wreck them, the next they Zerg you with cheap but deadly cannon units.

We love RTS games and we love this one but we wish there was more to it UPDATE IT.

ONE WORD… MULTIPLAYER! The game is fantastic if you are into RTS', but it could revolutionize iOS games if it is simply paired with a multiplayer support system.

Great game. A lot of fun. Easy to learn a challenge to master.
