What Makes Mega Shades – Arcade Puzzle Stand Out

Place the bricks in columns so they can merge into bigger ones. Full rows of the same colors will fuse together. The trick is, it looks simple, but it gets crazy fast in no time!

How to play:

  • Blocks will fall down and pile up.
  • Click on any column to change the block destination.
  • Drag down to accelerate the block.
  • If a block falls into another block of the same color it will merge creating a darker block.
  • If a row of blocks of the same color is formed, it will be cleared.
  • The game is over if any column reaches the top limit.

The game has been designed to perfection, taking care of every single detail.

Enjoy Mega Shades!

This Casual game offers engaging gameplay and regular updates for mobile players.

Community Insight:

A cheap imitation of the original, which was absolutely seamless. This knock-off seems to work ok, but the implementation isnt nearly as smooth and refined. We looked everywhere for an update to the original Shades app when the copy we had stopped working with the current version of iOS; but the developer seems to have let it die. Too bad. It was a real classic. We guess this version is better than nothing.

We really loved the game Shades. This replacement/alternate is buggy and less responsive.

Do not waste your time. This game is not the original version. And it is obnoxiously frustrating how pathetic it is in comparison.

We love this game. Its a great way to occupy just the right amount of our brain so we can still listen to a conference call while we play it. Its meditative. But theres one really annoying bug. When we pause, it would be great if the game always actually paused. Right now, frequently, blocks keep dropping behind the Continue overlay, so pause just brings up the overlay but the game keeps playing itself behind that.

This new game frustrates us because it goes into a different column then you put it in, and it is not as smooth as the other version. The old version was smooth and it was more fun because the colors changed every level and it wasnt the same old boring color.

Gets very old that all we have to say.

Had really nice smooth background nice and much better side effects. The changing colors as you passed levels was better too, being able to chose the color is fine, but it makes it more challenging if the colors change every time you start a new round.

Just not the same game it used to be.

We used to play a game exactly like this in 2016/17 but it had an AMAZING soundscape and different color schemes. If this isnt the same SHADES, does anyone know where the original is? And if this is the same SHADES, its gone downhill. BTW this here game has a glitch where sometimes the block doesnt go down into the column you select and it ruins your whole game. That happens maybe one game in 10. The other 9 are fine.

We played the OG shades a few years back on Android, and went to look for it here. This is the only thing we could find, and you copied the app icon, the gameplay, even the name and you just added mega to it. As for gameplay the only thing that changed was that merged tiles will not merge into the next tile down if you want it to; this is a terrible change because it makes you stack higher than you want. The strategy in shades was to get as little tiles as possible so you could clear row after row of maximum color tiles. Overall this is a terrible shades ripoff and we would not recommend it to anyone.
