This last update that you did on 8/3 there is an issue when you try to add/apply your items it just kicks you out of that window. It doesnt allow you to apply them from there.
First of all, ever since the newest update, there have been game-breaking glitches. We tried to build the new airports loading system, but it just wasnt there for some reason, even though it was there before. Also, the city centers underwater tunnel for some reason is now glitched into the land. Then, the missions always have a very strict time limit, and they require a lot of materials to be completed, which is hard to get since you have to either rely on your neighbors, or spend megabucks. And yes, there are other methods of getting materials, but theyre fairly unreliable and barely make a difference. And if you dont complete a mission in time, your final reward changes to a different structure, and you never get to have the original structure. Why cant the final reward stay the same? Besides, we have many missions going on because the game forced us to start them from leveling up on experience. Finally, we think it would be more helpful if you could request more different items at a time, like 15 or 20. Thank you for your commitment to reading this review. We still think Megapolis is one of the best mobile city building games of all time!
We have been playing this game for over 8 years. Its so fun building your dream city. Recently the updates keep focusing on more factories and mining. In our opinion this takes away from the original purpose of the game which is to be the best city building games. We would love to see more areasand more new objects to build instead of always recycling past events. If they came out with amusement park rides this game would become one of the most popular simulation games. Please go back to what made this game so popular and stop with side games to try to make more money. People will pay if you give us what we want instead of temporary worlds and factories.
Great, great game.!! We sure do appreciate the new territory created by the new update. It was needed. But, please finish your road from the Island Hotel to the mainland. We cant do it, only you can.
The update yesterday made it so that we cant use any resources. When we try to apply them they disappear from the screen and nothing changes.
We cant get our supplies out of our warehouse and Im stuck.
They have changed how factories and production work like 3 or 4 times in the past months. Pick a way and stick with it stop changing it every couple of months after we get used to the new way. And also these new production and ours buildings are huge. With no place to put them. You basically have to clear off a whole plot of land to just have dedicated to production they made it overly complicated. Then all the materials wasted into upgrading the old structures which are now gone.
Please bring back what buildings or trains can use the gifts we receive. We have no idea which building to click to provide the necessary items we received.
Since the update there are so many bugs. We cant earn our rewards when watching adds it freezes the game. Then you are not able to apply any gifts to anything. It just sits in your inventory, if you do click it it acts like you are trying to place a building but nothing else. The other thing is when you try to accept and use a gift from the messages on the left side, if you click accept on anything, everything that was gifted is gone. Please fix this game.
So, today they added a new update with a bunch of new mines and buildings. But, for those of us who have been playing for a decade, we have nowhere to put them without destroying a bunch of buildings weve placed and in some cases purchased. We already have dozens of buildings we’ve purchased in storage waiting for new land to open up. Now they give us a bunch more? This update was worthless.
We really like this game but the new update (8/3/2023) ruined it. We can no longer apply storehouse items to buildings under construction. We just have to stumble upon a building that needs it so we can apply it to the construction. Please fix this bug ASAP!!!
Hate it. Hate it. We cant use any gifts that we receive at all. We hate the new production crap. We hate that we cant upgrade anything because of this new update because now we have to search and freaking find the building to see if it needs upgrading to actually add the gift too it. So dumb. Stop trying to change the game.
Could you please fix the assets menu so we can apply the items sent to us to our city? It used to open options for buildings that required the asset and you could select where to apply it. Now, when we click on the asset, it just minimizes/disappears and doesnt actually let us apply it.
Dont you have a model to do testing before releasing updates! The last couple of updates have ruined a fun building game. You will see players delete their games. Junk, junk junk.
Cant apply any new items to construction and the videos for cash is glitching. The video will play but then the game is frozen after the video Is over.
Ok so downloaded the new update. U have several things that need to be fixed! U click on assets so u can update things and it boots u out! Plz fix asap!
Again the system is down. They already have limited access to the game and they cannot allow older events to be restarted because we truly think they have limited access/knowledge of the game. Its almost as if they bought the game from the original developer and they have no idea how to gain access to legacy areas of the game. Theres been lots of bugs and now its completely down again.
Our app says theres an update and each time we hit it it brings us here but doesnt show any updates to update the app. The game is really wonderful and we love it.

We have been playing this game for over 11 years. Its our go to game to escape from everyday stress. We usually get bored with games and move on but not this one. Theres always cool new buildings and decorations.
We love this game and have been playing it on multiple devices since its release and yes we do prefer the old version but still love the game yet in all this time there is still no way to fully reset the game and if there is please tell us. But overall great game!
This game is great but a few problems first we really really really really really really really dislike the new airport design second,when your at a high level you spend ten minutes TEN MINUTES then it gets boring you get stuck and just abandon the game, finally, HUNDREDS of people said this and this time dont tell us to go in a contest or go on the dreaded (high picted ) social media we and many others want easier ways to get resorses or megabucks sure theres a lot of stuff acummaleding in your warehouse BUT DO YOU NEED IT? We’ve playing this game from the beginning. Now we only check-in once every month. Nothing new in a year. Just sell the game to an American company. War torn Russia/Ukraine is making this game pointless to play.
Stop forcing us to do events we dont even want to do! At least allow us to start a different event.
When we got the game we were in china so we had no clue how to read Chinese so we asked our mom to do it but she said the game needed an passport number or something like that so she didnt do it so we just deleted the game SO TAKE THE ID NEEDED AWAY!!!
Game says theres an update available but when you click update it only takes you to the App Store. There isnt anything to click besides open and there is a continuous loop of not being able to login.
The progression of this game if you dont spend hundreds of dollars is so slow youll be playing for years and have nothing to show for it. At level 5 you have to wait several hours for each single supply and you need lots of supplies to do anything. The average wait time is 3 hours, Really!!! Because of the long wait times you can only play the game for 5 minutes before your grid locked and cant do anything. And to make matters worse the higher level you get the longer the wait times. They seem to increase exponentially. Solution spend your real money on mega bucks to speed up the process. But 20, 50, even a hundred dollars aint going to get you much. The cost of accelerating a single item development can be 5 to 12 megabucks! ??? Youre $100 purchase will evaporate in less then an hour? 100 dollar an hour game play we dont think so! DELETE!!!
This game used to be really fun and interesting as well as time consuming, Every since we redownloaded it and found out they got rid of the original businesses that actually make you money we felt like mg heart got ripped out of our chest. The new graphics look so cartoonish,the game doesnt even want you to have a fun time building cities and companies it just wants you to pay for more of their in game transactions. Unless social quantum changes the update to its original game when it was actually playable and fun dont play it nor support it. The bell with them we say.
Dont like the new interface for the game. Blue on blue on blue coloring doesnt work when trying to find arrows or X to close out a window. Dont like the little icons popping on and off the screen every time you do a contract collection. Dont like the mixture of bubble/animated icons with the crisp clean icons of the previous HD version. One of the worst upgrades this game has ever done. Game has become boring and stale.
Whenever its done loading it goes straight to home screen.
WOW! The uselessness of this game is unmatched. We just downloaded this, it goes to the loading screen and says An Update Is Available we click on Update, takes us back to the App Store. We click on Open it takes us back to the loading screen, and will not load past Checking For Updates Pathetic! F this game! Im just going back to SimCity.
This game is really fun to play and we have been playing it for a very long time, it just needs a new bug update. It hasnt added a new place to build a city for a very long time (this last time being the industrial complex). It has a lot to do in the game but it gets to a point where you want something newer. Who knows, maybe they are waiting a while to make a huge update to the game and Im just really impatient. And dont get us wrong, we really love this game, we just really want a knew place or big thing in the game.
The updates keep saying that each new subversion has updates to the airport, but the only airport update we saw was a few months ago, and that was to ruin it. We dont even bother with the airport anymore, because we only have max 3 planes, and they only want the building materials. Bring back the previous version.
If you want to have a genuinely fun experience building a city, then this game is for you! Theres barely any adds, and none of them are mandatory, and the gameplay offers a great city building experience. 10/10.
This game is really great, but there is something thats been bothering us. Why are you repeating special events and State Contest themes that have been done in previous years? Do you have any new events in the works? We miss it when you did different events. Now things are just repeating themselves. That whole Las Megas Submarine Event was already done and so were many others. You already did an automobile themed state contest and so were many other themes. What is wrong? Also, do you think you could bring back the mechanic where you see your deployed buses driving on your citys roads? We liked it when you got to see what your fleet of buses looked like on your citys roads and we fail to understand why you removed that feature. And right now after the recent update, the user interface has become overly sensitive. Can you also please correct the subway train error that mixes up the St. Louis Trains with the Washington DC Trains?
Please update this app with more land to build on. It has literally been 2 years since weve gotten new territory to build on. Im not spending another dime on megabucks etc until we get more land. Its pointless to do so if we cant build anything.
We feel like that for any discounts on materials, have a section in which you can buy materials using coins so that we dont constantly have to spend megabucks constantly to complete missions and have the city of our dreams. We hope you consider this idea for another update in the future, as we believe that we should have a section in which we can use coins to buy materials that can switchboard daily and also have limited stock so that player dont need to spend too much megabucks.
There appears to be a change from construction to more of a focus on contests. Also game favors those participants that have not been playing for a lengthy time vs those who have been engaged with Megapolis for long time( years).
Next time you do an update you need to make sure it doesnt crash the game.
New Quest is interesting, but, as soon as we went to visit locals, the game froze. We went out and could get back to our city and play, once we reloaded game, however, quest is stuck at same place each time we enter it. We then have to leave game and reload. A friend had warned that it happened to her when she got to level three, but hadnt been specific about the exact action.
So it isnt just us.. Others playing this game for a number of years are complaining about recent changes like the newairport. Too clunky and too much work, perfect description of the changes that were made. You still havent fixed the issues from previous changes AND player complaints. Honestly, for all of us who have been playing for years, will there EVER be a new area to build up with ANY of the items weve been getting from neighbors, friends and various rewards. Same old events, same old contests, over and over again. Also, its pretty sad when things that made this game easier to play are changed with new updates and never corrected even after its been brought to your attention.
This game was seemed fun during the tutorial until it crashed every time we tried placing down a house that we were told to place. We would click the check mark to confirm the houses placement then it would kick us out of the game and back onto our phones home screen. We dont know what to do or how to fix it.
We have enjoyed this game for many years, and we actually enjoy the new airport update. Our only complaint with it, is the amount of these new materials required to complete projects. For example, the FRAME for the Noahs Ark Residential Complex would cost over 6,000 megabucks to complete, and would certainly take years to gather the materials for that one project. If the number of materials required was dropped to something more reasonable, maybe 20 of each new material, then we feel it would be much more possible to complete the infrastructure projects. It would simply take too long to make any infrastructure progress, compared to pre-update. We really hope this can be fixed in the near future.
We’ve played this game for a significant length of time. No money put into it, nor do or did we plan to, and so we’ve had a front row seat of this games downhill slide. After they changed the UI from something simple and solid to something crowded, overly cartoon-ish design, we’ve physically not been able to pick up the game. And we do agree that theres some problems with money and how hard it is to progress, its not that bad, but still definitely slow. We havent been able to bring myself to try the new updates, especially after scrolling through the reviews for it. Not to say that the game is all bad, but theres definitely been a decline in the game.
We have not played in a while when we came back after a few months it keeps getting stuck on showing us something new.
