Find out what gamers are saying about Midnight Calling: Anabel – A Mystery Hidden Object Game (Full):

We’re so happy we bought this game! Nice job Elephant games and Big Fish!

This is the perfect combination of story, games and hogs. They mix up the types games and hidden objects perfectly. It is also a bonus to have a logical progression to follow! If we could complain about anything it is that we were sad to see it come to an end so quickly.. Time flies when you are having fun!

Loads of fun. Not many problems with interfaces as in previous games. Definitely worth a play through.

Extremely enjoyable! We just wish it couldve lasted a little longer, though we are thankful for the bonus game and the secret room which we have not gotten to yet. Please make a part two! It isnt too hard but it gets you to think.

Lots of HOBs and the games are interesting. Length is good. Graphics are great. Glad we got this one. Made an enjoyable afternoon.

This is one of the best games that we have played in a while. The graphics were good and the color was excellent also. No hang up. Everything went smoothNo bugs. We do wish that it was a little longer. However one can’t have everything. Lille to see more of these. Thanks Grandma Betty54.

Great game….. But very very short :(

When Big Fish Games and Elephant Games get together, you know you’re in for an AWESOME game! This game is no exception. Loved everything about the game. Nothing bad to say. Good graphics, good story — good everything.

Something magical happens when BigFish and Elephant Games come together. The Madame Fate,Fate’s Carnival and, now,Midnight Calling’Anabel’ are the most diverse and interesting games we have played. Please never stop!!!

We really like this type of game, and this one is very enjoyable! We love the artwork, puzzles and unfolding of the story. We do rely heavily on the hints, (I’m a really old player) but they are clever and well done, and we expect next time we play it, we won’t rely on them so much. .. And trust us, we will play it again! The story unfolds well, with sinister surprises, the puzzles are fun, and we LOVE our little companion – He’s got personality! (won’t say more, as we don’t want to spoil the adventure for other players).

Entertaining for a few hours. What more can you ask of a game? No crashes or glitches. Various puzzle levels for beginner or expert.

We really loved this game. It even had a cute little bat to assist you get things out of reach. Recharged fast and no glitches. We think you will enjoy this game.

Elephant Games are the BEST, and this one is no exception! Great job!!!

Absolutely love this game!!!! Elephant games has always built the most reliable and intricately designed games but they are getting better and better!!! The HOPs are more dynamic and interesting, not just simple find-it formats – this game is exciting and new in its style and structure. Charming and fun – we can’t wait for a sequel!!!! Thank you for hours of enjoyment!!!

We are having lots of fun playing this game.

Good graphics and minigames but game was nothing special. The bat companion was so adorable though!

Midnight Calling: Anabel is an interesting game, despite its gloomy title. You are Anabel, the deposed princess of the Castle. Your father was captured by the evil Chamberlain. He also imprisoned the friendly family dragon. Your friend, Calum, assists you; you also find an adorable bat who serves as your familiar, fetching high objects. Each scene contains Morphing Objects and other Collectibles. There are multiple mechanical puzzles, as well as Hidden Objects. Nice, colorful scenery adds a bright touch. The Hint and Skip buttons work well, and there is a Transporting Map. There are customizable difficulty buttons on many of the mini games. If it were a bit longer, we would have awarded five stars! The story line and tasks were easy to determine, so no diary was necessary. We still have not completed the Bonus Game, but we anticipate liking it, too. We intend to play this game a second time, just for fun!

We didn’t want to give it 3 stars because them game itself was fine. We just thought it was too easy, boring and typical of these games. Go into one room get a key, go to the room you just left, use the key, go to the next room… Blah, blah. None of the mini games were new or exciting. It was ‘just an ok game’. On a better note, game was beautiful, no glitches easy to use.

Great game! The only problem is the game was not long enough. This game is worth your money and time.

We loved it even more the second time we played it. The only thing that we didn’t like is that it ended quickly. We will definitely look for more elephant games.

LynxMinx: we hope all is well with you and that you are on the upside now; our thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you are having fun playing those games! Warning: You do get a bat helper, which, unfortunately for some of you, does stay with you for a while; it is very cute though! You are having nightmares about your father, a famous explorer and archeologist, in which he is requesting that you return to Rocksville to uncover the truth about his disappearance years ago. You run away from that evil lady at your boarding school to your old hometown to investigate the mystery surrounding Midnight Castle. You use photos your father took of secret areas around town where he hid stashes and clues on the mysteries he uncovered. Will you find your father alive and well? The graphics are visually slightly washed out; the colors are on the darker side with heavy emphasis on dominant shades of blues and purples. The artwork is not as intricately defined as in other series. You have the ability to customize your settings. The inventory is labeled, interactive, and puzzle-like; items require assembly. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick. The map is great! It has fast teleport to the desired location; and in custom mode, it indicates your tasks and which locations you can collect a puzzle piece for the Leadlight extra. Through the map, you can view your achievements, collectibles, and read your journal. The HOS are varied and interactive. One type is where you are given a command to open a suitcase; you then find the items by silhouette shapes as they move to the suitcase using the rest of the scene. You also will uncover the pairs, and you have the storybook type. The puzzles are varied and fun. One type is to move symbols around to their relative images; then another puzzle will initiate where you rotate outer rings to move figures through the maze to their silhouette shapes. You also will play some micro puzzles at times. You collect morphing objects, small figurines, and stained glass pieces in the locations; most are fairly easy to spot. The extras include a secret room and the Leadlight. Overall, this is a solid game, which has nice variation and very smooth mechanics. We deducted a star because of a glitch in the puzzle board. We started it; then we got interrupted. When we returned to it later, the view was zoomed up too much for the part where you light up the lines. When we backed out and went back in, we then could not touch the lowest row of lines without being taken out of the puzzle. We had to skip that part. Also, we hate access of functions through the Menu, and this game needs a back button. It’s still a game worth playing.

Fundamentals are pretty solid — teleporting map, journal, tasks, voice overs, labeled inventory, logic, cutscenes, etc. Are all there and there’s even a bat helper in the first game and a bird helper in the bonus. Storyline works. And yet… It just doesn’t rank 5 stars. Here’s why: No back button, and there are too many times if you want to inspect something in the bottom of the third of the scene, you go back a scene. Too many "same as it ever was" solutions and not much new… It’s the oil can for rusty lock, diamond ring for cutting glass, etc. On the upside, it’s a nice storyline and there are quite a lot of variations in the minigames and HOPs. A very healthy 4 stars, and worth the price… But just. Hi and thanks to all the reviewers. Xo.

This game was good but too short for the money even with the bonus content. By Letters to Nowhere instead.

It’s not worth what we spent for it, we do really regret it…

It looked fun but doesn’t react to pressure when you touch an object . $6 is a lot to pay for just an okay game. Games are not explained well. Can’t zoom in.

Washed out. Poor voice synchronization. Short playtime = overpriced. Glitches throughout game: one not able to pick up some morphed objects = annoying. Bird to feed for functionality is asinine. Interesting story line, but true potential lost in production, therefor . Do not waste money on purchasing this Hidden Object game, or any other Hidden Object game in general from Big Fish, because original owner(s) of BigFish sold business to someone where greed comes first, not customer service or producing/releasing a quality product.

Midnight Anabel as the 2 most recent games we downloaded, open for 1 second and then quits. All our other Big Fish games (several hundred) have no issues at all, so we have to assume the problem is with games, otherwise none would open.

The games started out all right then stopped on us blacked out was not able to get back in deleted it. Downloaded again, it stopped in the same place was unable to play.

The game seemed wonderful. Was enjoying the tie-in’s with the online game. Then it just black screens on boot. IPad 2 if that matters.
