Hear from the Players – Miles & Kilo Reviews

Find out what gamers are saying about Miles & Kilo:

Holy crap. At first we thought this was Mario run. But no, this is how Mario run should have been. Every is great. We minor issue is the crazy difficulty but we recommend it.

Love the game. Highly addictive. If you liked the first buy now!!

We have literally played this game NONSTOP since we got it. Charming writing, brilliant characters (there’s a dog you get to play as!!! How much cooler can it get) not to mention – our favorite part – super easy to learn. Just 2 buttons, but insanely challenging and always unique levels!!!! Yesss!!!!!

Miles and Kilo is to Kid Tripp as The Dark Knight is to Batman Begins. In both cases, the first one was great but the 2nd even better. A platformer’s dream ….. Difficult, but doable. So many levels of awesome.

We love platform games. We don’t necessarily love runners. This has the feel of a platformer although technically it is a runner. Right from the start we could tell this was the sequel to Kid Tripp. When we found out Kid Tripp 2 wasn’t out we were disappointed. Then all of a sudden we happen to stumble on this game via twitter because we follow the creator Mike Burns. We were thrown off by the title but after watching a video we knew it was Kid Tripp reimagined and as we would soon find out way better. The game is just plain addicting and fun from start to finish. Challenging doesn’t begin to describe this game. Good luck. Even after you have fought levels for hundreds of deaths to move on and have beaten the game you can still find joy in trying to climb the leaderboards in total complete games, number of deaths, score, etc. The level design is similar yet different and the added bosses are brilliant in design and play. When we saw only 13 reviews we were upset. This game needs to be played by everyone who loves platform games. We absolutely couldn’t be happier with this experience. Thank you to Mike and your entire team. This game brings us back to the days we still remember when we first played through Mario or Sonic. Bravo!

If you like platformers AT ALL, this is a must have.

This game is incredible it has its own unique style! We love the story and the graphics. We hope there’s a part 3 to this!!

Been playing platformers since the 80s. Just picked this up today. This game is one of the best platformers there is. Nintendo ought to hire the guys who made this.

We absolutely love this game to bits! The story is lighthearted and funny and the graphics and animation are really charming. This game is fast and challenging but like other reviewers have said, doable with just the right amount of effort. We never once felt frustrated to the point that we wanted to stop playing. There’s a real sense of achievement when completing a level and it’s really gratifying to punch through the Clear board at the end of the level. The pacing in this game is perfect and really pairs well with such clever level design. The different abilities and gameplay mechanics keep everything fresh and interesting. We love Kilo’s targeting attack and it’s really fun to chain them together. We think it’s great that rather than playing through a level with Kilo alone, he hilariously drags Miles through the stage by his leash. We picked up this game after reading a pretty enthusiastic review on toucharcade and hadn’t heard of Kid Tripp before. After playing this we purchased Kid Tripp and while it’s a great game itself, it really gave us an idea of how much the Dev has grown with Miles and Kilo. We’ve played through story mode twice now and have scored an A ranking on all but 1 stage in practice mode and we still can’t put this game down.

We love this adventure island clone! We would recommend this to our 8-bit loving friends! :D.

Its very strange how no one in any of the other reviews mentions it, but be warned this game is REALLY HARD. For reference, we’ve completed hundreds of games in our life and many of them difficult, so its not like Im new to gaming or really casual. This game is so hard, be prepared to play a single level 100 times before passing it. You will come to parts where you keep dying and have no idea how to proceed dying hundreds of times in the process. And to add insult to injury, the game keeps track of your deaths and throws it in your face constantly. How about some checkpoints, devs? Thats not to say this is a bad game, because its not. Its just a game most people will NOT enjoy due to difficulty. Also, as other reviews have indicated, this is a runner type of game where you dont control your movement, only jumps and attacks. So buy at your own risk.

This is an endless runner game.

Love the game, but it has started us over to the very beginning of the game twice. Im going to delete because its frustrating to pass so many stages just to log in and be back at the very beginning!
