Player Experience Highlights

Community Insight:

When you are playing and pass a week successfully they give you extra cars for you to attach to the trains, but 70% of the time you dont get that extra car so its more difficult for you to get those extra passengers.

This is probably the hardest game Ive ever played, so much interesting strategy involved.

In the So Paulo map when a station is overcrowding when you have a line that is going to that overcrowding station and the train is empty why did it pass? Even though the line to that station was not hollow. But the game is still good.

Mini Metro+ is an incredibly well-designed game with a minimalist aesthetic and addictive gameplay that keeps you coming back for more. Its a great blend of strategy and creativity, and the various maps provide plenty of challenges. However, Im giving it 4 stars because we feel it could be even better with controller support, such as Backbone compatibility. This would make the experience even smoother and more enjoyable, especially for longer play sessions. Overall, still a fantastic game worth downloading.

Lets put cities across four different land masses on level 3, before you get a second bridge, guaranteeing a game over. Lets keep doing that. This has potential, but the game needs to have better AI to check if the required number of bridges are available before crossing land masses.

It was fun for about1 min and it was like really worse then there other game we recommend a different game like there act only game/Mini metro.

This game is amazingly all the maps and systems are perfect but we think you guys should add Los Angeles. They have hade a metro for a while and we think it would be cool to play. Thanks bye.

We would honestly pay the original price of what Mini Metro was! This is worth 5 bucks, and we would gladly pay that instead of this subscription for the Apple Arcade! Please release this on normal App Store for purchase! It is a must.

Love this game, our only qualm is that when you try to add one too many locomotives to a line, a large message covers part of the play area telling you youre limited to 4 locomotives. The message will not disappear until a few seconds have passed within the games time – meaning if you have a station that is close to overcrowding and it is hidden under the message, theres basically no way to monitor it without the game being unpaused while you wait for the message to disappear so that you can see what youre doing. Its also very hard to keep track (no pun intended) of the number of locomotives per line because when they are at a station they are hidden underneath it. So its very easy to accidentally add a fifth locomotive to a line and trigger the message. It would be much better if either the message was unobtrusive, or if there was a locomotive count next to the circle representing each line, like 1/4, and when you reached 4/4 it would (subtly) indicate that you cant add anymore. Maybe if you tried to add a fifth it would simply not let you and the 4/4 would flash indicating you were trying to exceed the limit. But otherwise this is a very thoughtfully made relaxing game.

Ive been playing for about a year, great idle/casual game on low speed. Ive never been able to get more than 500 passengers moved on any level, that part is disappointing to us.

Confusing UI. No good explanation of goals. Horrible UI on small phone screens.

Ive read other reviews where people get very frustrated with this game, but that isnt the case for us. The puzzle has a simple object: get the passengers from point A to point B (or C). As time goes on, you get more stations, more passengers, and more supplies to grow your metro. When its simple it isnt boring, and when it is chaotic it isnt stressful. Compared to others on the leaderboard, we are awful at this game, but we still feel a sense of accomplishment when we lose. Im aware that how we feel about this game wont be how everyone feels, but many would agree with us that anyone could enjoy this game. We hope you found this review helpful.

This is fun to play, but are you gonna add more levels? We already played each level.

If you added controller support that would make this game even more easier and fun to play.

Please let us play this on our backbone.

We love mini motorways and we think this game is just as great its just that we dont understand it im sure the game is great and all but the tutorial makes no sense to us so we cant even play it.

This is one of the best games out there but it makes no sense to rush the player to connect stations without the proper materials to do so. Nowhere in the world does a station get built with no tracks, and people are expected to be picked up before the tracks are laid. Leave everything just the way it is but stop with the persistent addition of stations before the player has had a chance to tweak and optimize whats already there. It makes us abandon the game. You can still place them randomly at different places, for the challenge, but not at regular intervals. Just have a prompt build new station. Makes no sense to sometimes have 4 stations to connect across a river without having bridges. Takes the fun out of the whole concept. Whats the point.

We love mini motorways and decided to give mini metro+ a go as well. Unfortunately, we found the game very visually confusing. The use of shapes needing to get to separate destinations was good in theory, but its often difficult to even tell what shapes they are, which train theyre on, or where they need to go. You often have to sacrifice being able to tell what going on visually for efficiency which results in train lines overlapping and being unable to tell where they connect or where they go. We believe it would make more sense to move colors around (like you do in mini motorways) and have the trains be numbered or patterned. However thats just our personal opinion and the game has a lot of potential. If you arent one who has trouble with visual processing, you might enjoy the game more than we did.

Editing stops is infuriatingly painful when there are many lines going to a stop on an iPhone. If you have more than one line at a stop, moving the line you want in order to react quickly is almost impossible, as there is no way to pause the game. If you end up moving the wrong line, there is no quick way to undo it either.

Played a couple times and was really enjoying it, but if you try to ever reroute the tracks you might as well throw your phone out the window. It always does the most backwards thing from what you really want. Want to remove a connection between two stations? How about we just make the track circle back! Try again! How about we remove the entire line! Try to add it back? Haha, we will just move all the other adjacent lines on top. Want to adjust a path of a track? How about you just pick up a random train and well let you figure out where it came from Fix your idiotic control scheme and Ill play it again, otherwise it aint worth the electricity.

Controller support on the mobile version would be amazing, like the pc version.

Decent, fairly simplistic little game. We just don't get it. No matter what we do, we can't seem to fix an overly busy station. We get to a few hundred at best and then it's just over. The tutorial doesn't tell you anything about how to deal with it when it gets busy. We tried deleting all our tracks, laying out new tracks better organized, and it still ends quickly. We suppose if someone does figure it out more quickly this could be fun, but we can't get anywhere with it. Uninstalled.

We would love it if you added bangkok it is an interesting city and they actually have a real life metro aka MRT BTS Airport link and many more! Thank you for reading this.

So simple and yet so challenging. Make available for individual purchase and add more challenges please.

The game is fun and can be a great way to pass time. The only complaint we have is that the trains sometimes do not interact with full stations. We have tried an innumerable amount of times to put a train next to a station that needed relief from over crowding and the train just runs right past it no picking up a single passenger. It honestly has made many of our games lose and even the dailies have been cut short because the trains refuse to pick up passengers at the crowded station. Otherwise the game is great and has many hours of fun.

The game is quite nice and Ive enjoyed it so far. We play Mini Motorways as well but if we could change something about Mini Metro+, it would be that we wish is had the same graphics as Mini Motorways. We think it would make the game much more enjoyable.

Like its sister game, mm, this game starts too slow and ends too fast. Navigation is an improvement, but the tutorial does not help. Pretty though. And so, so satisfying.

This game has so much potential. We understand wanting to add in a bit of a challenge for players, but spawning in 6 circles in a line Cmon now. This is a straight up flaw in the design of the game.

Played for hours, reached 30K. Then score dropped down to zero when playing again later. Happened again when reached to 50K. Disappointed to do all that effort then later lose all the score. Also theres seem to be a limit of playing since it stops creating new stations and all they give you is either more cars or tunnels. Gets boring after that.

Its a good game but there is no way to save a game. So if you want to go back to another city, because you had an idea that worked in a newer city, youre screwed. And it would be nice to have things like other games offer – a undo button, a way to see how many trains/cars there are per line, maybe give hints as to way a certain layout seems to be stuck at a range of people, etc. Good game, but lacking in 2023 options.definitely feels more like 1990s.

Its not fun and has a very bad goal. Im just supposed to drag things to there and watch trains. Def 1 star.

Mini motorway we understood, enjoyed it but eventually deleted it because it was so challenging. This game…..Im totally lost.

Super fun game, but we thought the river layout of Pittsburgh would be interesting.

At first play this game seems like a chill easy game that you play to relax. In fact its a deceptively deep strategy game where you learn to develop principles that guide your choices. Each map is also slightly different, so you cant play each one the same way. Some maps are annoyingly hard, but you can pick whichever one you want. Our only complaint is that you should be able to record a score with the daily challenge every day. If not, whats the point of waiting for 8pm? Lol.

Love this game so much but its got a glitch where the background is full of grey or red lines and you cant really see anything. Ive reinstalled twice, same issue both times.

We had this app and loved playing it. Im very disappointed to find out that we cant use it now because it has been moved to Apple Arcade. This means that we need a subscription to play this game that we used to be able to play with no paywall.

We've been playing MM since it was just browser-based and it's never lost it's luster. We just wish there was a way to make branch lines on the outer portions of a single line and have special stations where those lines converge into the core.

We love this game, and we enjoy it so much! We do have one bug to report, which is that in Osaka you cannot get more Shinkansens in endless mode. Otherwise, its a great game.

This game would be sooo good with controller support like Mini Motorways.

We really like this game, but there are a couple things that would make it more interesting for us. We know part of the challenge is having to respond in real time to the increasing needs of your 'city', but we would love to be able to freeze it and really analyze what's happening. D.

Im an avid sim city/City skylines gamer. Im drawn to the construction aspect and moving traffic. This game is fun, LOADS of fun, so dont get us wrong here: there is a horrendous algorithm that drops the same station type repeatedly and right next to each other (most prevalent is the circle station, 7 to 8 in a line?!? Woah.). There is such a thing as making a game challenging and a whole other thing making it discouraging, disappointing and extremely frustrating 75% of the time. Ive opened every city, so its not as if we cant play the game with success. We know that we can reroute and remake the lines, but when youre starting out the game and all you have is one triangle, one square and eight circles. Nah. We play games for fun, not to tick us off more than our kid slipping out their bedroom window at night. Lets get back to work and rewrite that algorithm so it is still challenging but doesnt make us want to throw ourselves off a pseudo bridge (when we manage to actually get a bridge in the rewards).

There really is no difference from the original game and we also dont understand why this is on arcade.

Let us connect from the middle and extend.

The concept is simple and offers challenging scenarios. As a map geek this game really wins the the Harry Beck gold prize! The ability switch difficulty levels and game/free play mode is outstanding. We hope these features are incorporated into Mini Motorways soon.

Its for happy new years. Thats all. Love yall.

Would like to start this review by stating that this game is great! Similar to Mini Motorways this game is an awesome puzzle. Our issue comes with the controls of the game. If you are on a small device and using your finger it is almost impossible to manage a complex railway system. Disconnecting and reconnecting stops is absolutely chaotic when you reach a high amount of passengers. If you play on a tablet or computer this game is flawless, but if you play on your phone be prepared for pretty frustrating gameplay.

Predictably, suffers from the same shortcomings and frustrations as Mini Motorways. One gets the feeling these games were developed by a civil engineer with a vendetta against idiotic decision makers who dont know the job. Point made, perhaps, but its not fun to play.

We have only been able to play once, now everytime we try to load the game it remains on a white, blank screen. We're really sad we are unable to play :(.

We really want to play this with our backbone controller.

Every time we try to boot up the game, we get stuck on a white screen. Kind of disappointing because we were looking forward to playing this some more, and we've only played once. If you could fix this white screen issue, that would be great, thanks for your time.
