Recent Patch + The Miniversary Update
The latest patch to Mini Motorways addresses recent bugs, including:
- Save game issues with the Busan map challenge titled ‘All Gas No Brakes’. With this fix, you should be able to resume your saved game.
- Visual pink errors and freezing on maps while playing Expert Mode on iOS 17.

It’s our Miniversary, and to celebrate ten years of Mini Metro, the game that started it all for Dinosaur Polo Club, we’re releasing one of our biggest updates ever, with a pack of new maps to enjoy, each of which features our newest building type! This update includes:
- Three brand-new maps! Three of Mini Metro’s most popular cities are now available in Mini Motorways, including the winner of our player vote, New York City. Recreate London’s iconic roundabouts or attempt to recreate Mumbai’s famous expressways.
- Train stations! These cities are home to bustling railway networks already, and it’s your job to ensure their trains don’t interrupt your traffic! Train stations are new building types that will require careful planning and attention as you draw your roads around unique existing railroads to keep up with the demands of these new challenges.
- Each of these maps also includes all-new challenges and achievements.
- This update also features various improvements and bug fixes.
It’s been a privilege and a joy to share the last ten years with you all. If you haven’t played it in a bit, we’ve also released three new maps on Mini Metro to celebrate our first decade. Here’s to many more years of Mini, and thanks again for coming along for the drive with us!

We love this game and its super fun and also relaxing. Its best on the laptop, Apple TV, or iPad. There are some features that we would love to see in future updates like a mode where you can create your own little city and see how well it would run. We also wish there was a way to see how many trips were completed in endless mode and how many times the city would have failed in endless mode. We know this is probably illogical but creating intersections on bridges and in tunnels would be great too especially in the cities with a lot of waterways.
A lot of fun, and somewhat addictive. We’ve got our whole household playing this game. We just really wish there were a sandbox mode/free play option. Where you can decide where to place the houses & factories!
We love the idea of just building all of the highways and this is one of our favorite games.
We love this game. Its so addicting. Its so fun. But there is one problem. The cars didnt go out to work in time, and game over. Its not our fault the roads were connected so there wouldnt be a problem. We just now noticed we didnt pause it but still. The cars didnt come out in time.
We are so happy. So far the latest update has worked and we are now going to get our daily therapy. This game helps our mental health. We commend you. Thank you so much.

We’ve been playing this game almost everyday, at least once a day since early 2020. Love how they continue to add features and listen to feedback and ideas. .. And the newest update eeems to have fixed recent bug issues.
Love this game so much, make an airport one! Or a boat one!
You guys should add trains or buses. Probably a underground part but the ground is transparent so we can see the train moving underground or a bus where youre able to add a select numbers of stops for the bus. Just something to think off also expanding the map to be a bit bigger. Overall we like the game so far just need a bit more.
Our daughters and we love this game, but we dont subscribe to Apple Arcade (nor will we). You should make it available for standalone purchasewe definitely would do that.
This is an amazing game, from all the architecture that goes into playing the game and watching a little car drive around. One little problem Sometimes Im playing on Infiniti mode, and our roads are too wild and we dont have any materials to help em cars and roads we have to wait for all the cars to collect the right amount of passengers but they cant and weeks pass by without us being able to get anything. Same thing for normal mode, but the whole city shuts down cuz we grabbed the wrong materials. Heres how you could fix it.. (Infinite mode) every week you choosing a new material and road supplys. (Normal mode) being able to trade supplies if you city starts shutting down THANK YOU!!! Our rant is done.
IPhone 13 Pro Max, we have a good battery. Last a long time even when playing games. But this game kills our battery. Very odd. Even though the drain is huge, we still cant stop playing this game. Its hooked us really well. We do which it had more levels. With unique differences. After beating the missions, Replaying the same missions with challenges does get a little boring.

Great game but please please please add infinite supplies mode.
Great game, but so much room for improvement. Starts too slow and ends too fast. Lots of investment, without much power to save yourself by the time youre in danger. Pretty though. Navigation is tough.
Our biggest complaint like others we’ve seen online is the ability to accidentally delete a freeway and screw yourself over in the process since it cannot be undone and becomes unusable often causing you to lose while waiting to fix the accidental deletion.
Maybe a free play version where you can move everything and you can add what you need.
When we played Daily challenges, The score is always set to first time score.
The game is designed in a way of making you think this a sandbox but its a terrible puzzle game. The purpose is optimize traffic flow based on where they place house and offices. But they limit your roads, bridges and highways, lights, roundabout you can build this force you to make bad design decisions within the road network. If you are someone who love to optimize flows this game will make you upset because you cant optimize it the way you want or the way you think it should be. You might think oh Ill just delete and optimize later.. Nope resource are not returned to you if deleted. But the biggest problem is the controls. So many times we created or deleted a road by accident because we were just trying to move the camera.
We keep accidentally adding roads and deleting roads. Not a big fan of the user controls.
It lets us play for a few minutes then crashes.

We’ve been playing this game for months, basically since it released on Apple Arcade and we were ecstatic with the addition of endless mode. However, we were disappointed that there were not infinite road tiles. We love this game but we would love it even more if there was a true sandbox mode!
It keeps crashing at Week 11 in Los Angeles. Im sure it will be fixed, but wanted to say something!
This game is super addicting and we really love it! We play it on our free time and we are able to spend hours playing! We think it is a great game and we recommend it to others thinking that they may enjoy it!

Endless amounts of fun, though we wish a feature could be added where you could set certain roads to only work as one ways (ie so you could design multi lane highways)
We never write reviews for games but this one certainly deserves it! Truly one of the best games we’ve ever played. Simply brilliant and very well done. One thing is we wish we could save a map and start a new one. Sometimes we want to start a new map but Im far along in a different map and dont want to lose our progress. Other than that- well done! Love love love it.
The game is absolutely great! We started playing this a long time ago and since then, theyve added a lot of new features (roundabout being our favorite), and we think its been getting more realistic with time. One thing Id absolutely love to see is one-way and multi-lane roads. We think that this would be a big improvement and would fulfill the game in our opinion.
This game constantly crashes. Our iPad has plenty of memory, its current on updates, we’ve closed all other programs and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail and its the only game we have this problem with. It seems that the more advanced our world becomes, the more often it crashes. Its frustrating to do all that work and then resume the game to find that the last 50 items you placed didnt save. Obviously not frustrating enough to stop playing though. We actually downloaded this game because we thought our 6 year old son would like it (he does) and now Im the one whos hooked. Its such a simple concept but its so much fun. We were expecting a building game but its actually more of a strategy/problem solving game that somehow manages to be both challenging and relaxing. As the game progresses, stores and houses of various colors continue to spawn in random locations and, with limited materials, you have to build routes for the cars coming out of the houses to travel to their corresponding color of store and back. We definitely love the challenge aspect of the game but we will say that since you have no control over building placement, sometimes the map becomes visually chaotic? Its not a dealbreaker for us but it would probably not be a good game for a person who would be bothered by not being able to create aesthetically pleasing roads where everything lines up perfectly. In the future we think it would be cool to have a free build mode, or possibly a story mode where you have a certain number/color of houses and stores to incorporate but you choose where they go. Also, it might be fun to have a reward system of some sort where you could trade the points you earn for various one time advantages (move a stores entrance, demolish a building, etc..)
Im obsessed with this game! We play it at least 10 hours a week its so fun and relaxing! We played mini metro for years until this was available on Apple Arcade! We do with there was a creative feature like mini metro has where you can customize your own map.
We love this game! We like games like this and its very easy to understand but we think we would definitely like a mode where you sort of control whats going on also to play aside from the levels because it just sort of ends. The challenges were a great addition but we think a consistent creative or sandbox option would be great for days where you just wanna watch your own city be built ya know. Other than that, definitely a game Im keeping on our phone haha.
We really enjoy this game, but we’ve noticed that even if our buildings dont have any trip pins, the timer still starts and fills even though the trip pins get picked up. Not sure if this is just a bug or not, but its frustrating when we have a good game going but then we lose because the trip pins meter fills with no pins on the building.
Love the game, but todays update makes the game crash every time we try to go the main menu. Otherwise Im completely addicted, hence us being upset that we cant play,
Mini motorways is a masterpiece app with some flaws. Totally addicting for players whove enjoyed managing traffic messes in their sim city 2000s, or sim city 4. Im a sim city traffic fan and this game captures the essence. We use a truly old iPhone 6s Plus with pretty smooth play until cities get large. Before the recent update, large cities didnt crash the app. After the update, large cities crash the app frequently. Thats with a rebooted iPhone 6s Plus that has no other applications running in iOS 15.7.3. Cut the fat so it runs stable on an iPhone 6s Plus and we will add a star to make it a 5 star review. Another suggestion: we really hate it when weekly and daily levels cut road tiles rewarded or any resources in half. Reduces what we can build and cities are left unfinished. Just be generous with the the road tiles at the very least. Any levels that appear with half the tiles rewarded will be played with deliberate low scores. We want double tiles pls on weeklies and dailies.

Its great but crashes every 10 minutes.
Its generally a good game and very entertaining, but its not saving our data. We unlock new locations, but once we close the app, and get back on later.. We have to restart! We still have our trophies and all but.. We have to restart. Id like this fixed so we can play all the maps.
Before last update very smooth and enjoyable game. 52/52 Now crashes before getting to 500 pins and is not recoverable. Latest IOS version. Maybe try again in 6 months see if fixed.
We love this game but every time we get to week 10 it crashes.
Fun game but it crashes ALL the time, and then you lose your progress.
We have been loving the game and the daily challenges. However, it seems like everytime we close the game and come back, whatever level we completed last has been lost. For example, we beat our own record for a level to unlock the challenges, then even started one of the challenges. We come back the next day, and that new record is gone and challenges are still locked Its really frustrating having to redo levels.
It keeps reseting our levels to a lower city.
We really enjoy this game. Its perfect to zone out with and is a new challenge in every round. However, it crashes constantly. Its so frustrating to play and get far into a level and then have the app start crashing and losing progress every couple of minutes. There have been daily and weekly challenges that we’ve had to fail on purpose just to submit a score because the crashing starts to get continuous.
This game is fun however we became extremely frustrated as it would not reliably save our scores and progress. This would lead to cities Id already played adequately being locked over and over again. We would have to replay multiple levels sometimes to play a new one. The reason we are deleting it is because after putting up with all that, it crashed something like 700 trips into a new city and restarted. Ugh.
Had this game 24 hours and it has crashed at least a dozen times once the city reaches more than 100 elements. We have a reasonable 6th gen 2018 iPad with 25+ GB to spare. So frustrating, but the game is good enough that we will try playing again until the next upgrade.
We would love this game if we could complete one.
