Community Insight:
Thats it. Thats our only complaint. This game is really cool, but we are stingy with our money.
This card game has a subtle depth to it that encourages many plays, and specific challenges give those play throughs a specific aim. Also, artwork is gorgeous. It makes us wonder what these people plan to do with these potions.
We like playing this game a lot. Trying to learn how to play it better is very enjoyable, and its a nice looking game. All the game really needs is some more stuff added to it, maybe a different game mode or new cards and potions and stuff like that. Great game.
Great game with intriguing game play style and just overall fun.
While this game IS fun and the artwork is gorgeous, it just lacks content. What is advertised as a free game turns out to be missing 90% of the basic components, which are locked behind a paywall. The game is amazing, don't get us wrong. If it was priced at $2 then we would have no complaints! But an unfinished that asks for payment for a daily quests feature just isn't what we're looking for. If it had ads instead, or at least more content, it would be 5 stars. But as a free game it's 3 stars from us.
We bought the full game on our iPad and thought it would automatically apply when we got it on our phone. We tried to restore our purchase but its just on a loading screen that wont end. Also Im not sure if this is the intention but you arent sure exactly what format you have to use to make the specific potions for the challenges. And other than the challenges, theres not much to do. You cant buy more cards or use the money for customizations we dont know. We also dont get the pattern of the boot, so it makes it hard to strategize when you can use the boot or not. But other wise we like the concept and the art style is cute.
We bought this game soon after it was released. We just redownloaded it and when we try to restore purchases, it crashes. Other reviewers have complained about the same problem, with no response from the developer. This is theft and it definitely isnt the way to treat your early adopters. This entire industry has become so crappy… We no longer feel like it is worth our time or money to invest in any game apps. If you are considering paying for anything in this game, do so knowing that the developer may very well revoke your access at any time.
Its such a great game! But once you play through the tutorial, thats basically it. There doesnt seem to be more to it. Such a bummer.
We bought this game back in 2018, got bored of it after awhile so we deleted it. We downloaded the game again but every time we try to rest or our purchase the game crashes. We would really like to play the game again.
We love how this game looks, and it's really fun to play. Deceptively simple.
This game needs better explanations of how things work beyond just the basic game play. At first it was confusing and frustrating to understand how things worked and where to get information. But once you figure things out, its a fun and charming game, with daily challenges to make things more interesting.
This game is so simple, but so beautiful and addicting and fun! If you are looking for a simple strategy card game to take your mind off things, this is the game for you! Love it.
Wish there was more to do but its a lot of fun.
They really nailed down the basic gameplay of his game. Its fun, simple, and has more replay value than it has any right to. That said, it would that much better if there was just a bit more variety – a bit more to do than just the basic game. For example, a mode with no black cards would be really fun, sort of a sandbox mode where you can see how many points you can get for a potion, or try out different combos without having to worry about losing. Some kind of main story would also be a lot of fun. Just something to give a sense of profession.
When we bought the free game we were surprised that we had to buy the game to get everything. Why not make it a paid game so we know that we have to buy it to play. We appreciate that we get a endless mode but serously give us our full game clickbaiter.
Man the art of this game is perfect.
This is the third game app made by these guys we have played – so suffice to say we are fan of their games. Like most of them, theres a card design going on – this one using color matching and alignments to score points. It does this fundamentally well. It creates interesting combinations for you to determine by adding negative effects that can impact your score. Lastly, it presents a list of new challenges every day for you to try and beat, plus theres an online scoreboard for you to compare to. Thats the mechanics of the game, but what really sets it apart is the great use of artwork, theme, and music to make it really interesting to look at while you play. It makes for a fun game that doesnt seem overly repetitive. Theres also an underlying fantasy world theme going on that ties it with their other games which we found interesting. Issues with the game are basically learning curve – easy to learn but not necessarily transparent on how you master it. The tutorial shows the mechanics, but understanding how to maximize points and what different terminology means (things like how you get a twin, triplet, or distillate) arent spelled out. Depending on your expectations, this can mean it can take awhile to catch all the details of play. In our experience, thats a hallmark of all their games, so no surprise if you have played any of them. Overall, its a neat little game to occupy you for a short break or to unwind.
We love this game!! The art is visually appealing and it challenges you. Puzzle games are our favorite. However, we feel like there should be more to this game. Maybe you can acquire upgrades or there can be levels instead of just doing the same thing but remixed every time. It does get boring after a while.
This is a super cute game. Easy to learn and play, but a bit challenging to complete the daily quests. We wish there was a little more to the game play. It could use more challenges to complete. Maybe more than just 3 daily quests. Maybe be able to unlock new customers or shop customizations. Totally worth the $1.99 to play unlocked though.
We did not pay for the full version, but the free content is very simple with little strategy. Art is excellent. The basic idea is solid. Just not enough there to make us want to shell out money.
We really like card games like Balatro or Inscryption, so we were really interested when we stumbled upon this. Id love to see it on Steam, and we can see ourselves spending a lot of time with this game! The graphics and sound design are great, very endearing. Lovely game.
This is our go to game to relax and unwind. Love the art style and the idea of making different potions. It would be so cool if there were different decks you could work to unlock. Just a suggestion but love the game 10/10.
Played it for free for a bit before making the best financial investment of our life to buy the game in full. Been obsessed.
This game is pretty nice, really like everything about it. But, few small things we have to mention. One, sometimes the black cards get bonuses that end up reducing their value. This happened to us multiple times and lead to us losing a lot as well. Two, while the game is free a lot of quality of life features are locked behind purchases. For a game of this quality, thats perfectly fine, but Id prefer if there was a lite/demo version of this game and then a fully paid version instead. Other than that, we really liked this.
We dont care if we have to pay for every new story or if we would have to for updates, keep this game alive bc is one of the best.
The game itself is enjoyable enough. Its simple to pick up and play but takes a bit before you really understand what youre doing. Which is fine. The fun comes from learning. The problem we have with the game is that there seems to be no actual progression system. Theres no way to change things up, or alter the ingredient decks in any way, you dont unlock anything through playing aside from useless stickers in a book you can only view from the main menu, which basically means once youve played a few rounds, thats it, youve seen all there is, its just more of the same over and over with no variation other than the random order of the ingredient decks and customers.
We love the game but we hate that u have to pay.
Can you update the Chinese version, and make purchases through in-app purchases on the App Store.
Was very quick and easy to pick up. Adorable art style and simple gameplay make this a great little time killer. Would definitely play again.
It has been a while since the last time that we enjoyed a game this much. Thanks.
Very fun game! It uses simple principles, but once you understand the scoring, it is really fun to play. Beautiful art as well, we love the spooky style.
8-15 minute games that are challenging, not hard, and fun.
We really had fun playing this game and we even bought the full version. Its easy to play but difficult to master. The gameplay is very simple and like another commenter said we would love to see a story mode or more challenges added at some point, but we dont think its necessary since we already enjoy the game as is. Two things we really want to see are: – we would love a freeplay gamemode without the black cards and maybe even without limits on the number in each pile, just to see how high of a combo we can get without worrying about failing the game. – The high score menu is sort of confusing. We would like to know our own personal high score. Thanks for a fun game.
Love this game & the challenges, we can play it forever our only thing is we wish there was a level system or a bit more to it but overall its great :3.
It has an amazing art style, cool cards, and interesting sellers, but its basically just a more complex solitaire.
We loved the graphics on the game just wish it had more features. It needs a reward program and level system. We got hooked fast but thought what am we playing this for. It a good time passer and would be even better with a little work. Also would be cool to play against others some how. We like that its not timed so you can put it down without losing your place. We really do like this game. Please keep up your work.
Instantly hooked by the aesthetic and art style. Game oozes charm. We booted it up to play it, but the game crashes immediately every single time someone gets a potion we make. Cant really have a game about potion making if we cant give it to them lol.
Agree with others that the game is good in concept, and great for airplane mode play on an actual airplane, but is missing the mark on keeping you hooked by offering an escalation of some kind. Worth the $2 for the unlimited play. However, the challenges dont complete when youve fulfilled the requirements, which speaks to the issue above with wanting to play more.
Maybe we dont understand fully yet but by the end it tells us Ive used the wrong ingredients even thought Ive used both of the requested colors? Is this a glitch or am we missing something.
Cant get past the tutorial Im not good at card games. Edit: got the hang of it but you pretty much have to buy the game to get tasks.
We really like this game. The art is charming and fun to look at. The gameplay is simple but theres challenge in getting higher scores. We really wish that there was a recipe book or that when you discover a new recipe theres an icon next to the new recipe indicating that. We know this game was just a side project but we feel like theres potential here to make it an even better game.
We love the game its so much fun but the achievements dont work which is kinda disappointing.
We dont have a lot of apps that we keep for a long time but this one has staying power. Easily our favorite game on our ipad. Each game takes like 5 minutes to play so its perfect for a quick break and the art and music are so nice. Definitely recommend buying.
This is our new favorite game and we cant stop playing it. It would be funny if, when we mess up a potion and the costumer gets mad, they should be mad the next day and threaten to not pay or come back if we mess up again, like a Karen. That would be just a funny thing to do, regardless though, we love this game.
We love this game! Its simple yet so much fun! The mechanics are easy to understand. Its quick to pick up and every game lasts about 5 minutes- Perfect for filling those little gaps during the day! Luck plays a part in how youll do in each game. But we dont mind it being so light in strategy as its supposed to. The art is just perfect! It serves the game and theme extremely well! Its been with us for quite some time and we pick it back up once in a while. We think it will stay with us for a long time. Looking forward to any future updates.
Awesome art style, pretty chill.
The art is so cute, a great way to relax and just let off some steam. The game is a great puzzle, and Im going to look into more of their games. Love love love. Worth it to pay for the full thing too.
This game is mindless yet strategic, with a perfect background soundtrack. We would love levels, or a bit more variety in gameplay, but super cute easy to learn, yet a challenge to master.
This game is awesome and worth the money; however, a few updates once in awhile would make this game perfect.
Its fun to play in your free time.
