We really enjoy word searches. Now we can do it on our phone. Mary.
We mainly like the anagrams, but often the letters make many more words than there are spaces for. So if you come up with six 4-letter words and there are only spaces for four, the last 2 are not counted, so it feels like you’re not getting acknowledged for the skills the puzzle is supposed to reward. More frustrating: when we try to watch the "watch to unlock" ads, the screen goes blank and no ad plays, so nothing is unlocked. We’ve completed the puzzles we had been able to unlock, can’t unlock any more, so now this app is an inert waste of space. Too bad, it was fun for a while.
Good basic idea, but POOR implementation — as just ONE example (among many), when you choose to "watch ads to gain hints," the app JUST SITS THERE AND NOTHING HAPPENS — pointless. Also, the crossword puzzles are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. After we finish writing this review, we WILL delete this app — and that’s a shame, because we like these kinds of games.
We’ll grant that the individual puzzles are fun, but the glitches and ads reduce the overall value of this app significantly. Some puzzles appeared twice under different headings, some changed identities after we closed the app and came back, one puzzle simply had too few letters to be solved, and a particular word search even refuses to remember that it’s been solved: whenever we reopen the app, it says it’s untouched, but we look and all the words are still circled. Very poorly executed, too buggy fir completion-oriented people like us, too slow with ads for casual players, not an app we would recommend.
We enjoy the game but every bad that pops up does not offer a way to close it without choosing install. Every time we use any other free app on our iPad or phone, and ads pop up, theres an X to close the ad after it runs. Ads on Modern Words dont offer that option. Super annoying.
It stopped about level three. Why?
Now game closes as it opens. How can you play a game that you cant get to stay to stay open???
App crashes in word search grab. Uselessness.
The app works great, and the games are pretty easy (for an adult), but we find them to be good for filling time.
We play a ton of word games all the time. This one is in our top 3! We like the variety of games to choose from in one little app! Great for keeping the mind sharp, word brah, WORD.
Fun, relaxing word games to pass time with several different types of puzzles and modes to play. Runs smoothly and take up much space on our iPhone 5c. Highly recommend this app!
We would like more word searches.
No time limits, no maximum moves, no diminishing energy. Just nice easy word games. Clean interface. Even the ads aren’t too annoying.

Whether your playing alone or questioning you friends/family with riddles, you RELAX and have fun. Most games are fun for a few boards before you need to wait for points, or buy them (which we won’t) & then get SO stressed b/c your losing or wasting money, there’s no money involved in this one, just enjoyment!!!
We gave this game a 5 star rating because it’s a great word game that’s makes your mind work. A lot of awesome options on word games all wrapped in one app. It’s a good app to exercise your brain!

We love these kind of games. You have a great selection. It’s a lot of fun. If certain animals we do not know what they look like we can go to Siri and ask Also do not have to buy books to lay around the house.

Good variety of ways to play. A great "make you Think" game. We especially like the riddles, the answers aren’t as easy to figure out as you think. Love It!
We just couldn’t stop playing. It’s super fun and really addicting. There are lots of different things to do and it’s not so difficult that we can never get it but it’s enough to sometimes be challenging. We think this app is designed really well!! One suggestion would be to add some form of sudoku. We think that would be a fun little challenge to do!
You can play with minimal interruptions and it’s free. Lots of games to choose from. Need we say more!?!

We’ve been searching for a quality word search game for a long time and we finally found it! We enjoy the crossword puzzles and other games offered as well, but word searches were always our favorite. We’ve only had the app for a few hours and we’re blowing thru all the easy levels pretty fast. We just hope there will be updates for those of us that are word puzzle junkies and complete all the puzzles quickly! Granted with the amount of games and puzzles currently available, it’s gonna take awhile for us to get to that point. Thanks for the great app!

We have had a hard time putting this game away! It has a lot of variety in what you can play and different levels of skill. When we’re waiting for our friends to take their turn on other word games this one fills our needs.

The game is great, but we think there needs to be a lot more puzzles added or maybe a computer generated puzzle selection. Anyway, a really good way to waste some time.
