  • Story
The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.

The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!

The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as "the King of the Skies." The trio affectionately name him "Ratha," and take him back to the village.

A year passes…

The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.

Monster hunter stories is the best game we have played in a long time! We the story is amazing the monsters are very cool!! We love that you can now even ride them! We love this game and think it is amazing! This game has pretty good graphics we love everything about this game and we would recommend it!!!

So the game has no major issues as far as we can tell and also we find the game very enjoyable. The only issue we’ve run into, which is very small, we’ve been unable to find Poogie #27.

We personally am in love with Monster Hunter World on xbox and we found this cute little game on apple arcade recently and we’ve already gotten 30 hours of gameplay out of it! Highly recommend if youre a fan of other MH games, gives you nice insight on the difference of riders and hunters and you get to have your own monster mounts too which is always fun. Navirou can be a lil annoying when looting caves but other than that we love this game and its been a great pastime, as well as being able to play offline.

Like can we get some good monsters but our monsters are good and can can you give us a starter monster please other than that the game is good really good.

It would be awsome if we were able to play it with our backbone controller.

We love this game so much but it would be so much better if it had controller support!

We didnt know this was a 3DS game until we Googles the title after playing for several hours No wonder we were hooked like nothing else in Apple Arcade! Wonderful game, charming and engaging. Combat is a ton of fun to learn; it is forgiving, but that does not take away from leaning the patterns for each creature. The store is fairly big standard, nothing special, but the world and creatures that inhabit these games are the stars of the show. We have not ran into any save bug but it we have been very careful to look at the time played between our latest manual save and the auto save. The manual save is always highlighted when you boot the game, but that is NOT always your farthest save, always check the auto save slot before loading :) Definitely worth trying out!

Please add controller support, Iv played this on other devices and its much more fun on controller.

We’ve always loved MHS and we already beat it on the 3DS. We were thrilled when we heard it coming out on here and Im now happily replaying it on an iPad. The graphics are much better and overall its a great port. We highly recommend!

This game needs controller support.

This is perfect except the saving system. This game is awesome! But even though the save system is not good this game is one of our favorites! If you fix the saving system this will be our most favorite game! Thanks for reading capcom!

This is the perfect kind of game for iOS and Apple Arcade. Truly a full-fledged Turn-based monster training JRPG, that has great touch control integration and HOURs of content. Please bring more games reminiscent of the golden-age of handheld RPGs, like Pokmon, Golden Sun, Bravely Default, etc.

Good but It needs controller support.

As a fan of the Monster hunter games we thoroughly enjoyed it though we wished more weapons were available and more species in an area and finally your montsies level is like an age so it can change appearance or just size but still deserving a 5 star rating. P.S the final is just a suggestion.

We love this game but it would be so much better With controller support.

This game is the best adventure role play game we have ever played! We still havent found one thats better. The only problem is that one of the high rank monsters (the high rank Red Kehzu) is not showing up AT ALL! Anyway,I would really appreciate a good update and look forward to seeing one! Other than that its an amazing game.

PLEASE UPDATE THE game with the 1.3 Japanese content.

So we figured we watched the video the game seems cool and all looks exactly the same as monster hunter 2 but less graphics and we were thinking it would be better to play this game since its free for us since our parents got us the subscription of Apple Arcade but enough about that if we keep talking Im sure Im not gonna get to the real point which is if only the game had like more realistic graphics it would be so much better like incredible and if it had an adventure sequel slash um we forgot well good game just wish had better graphics.

This game is incredibly fun, and absolutely one of the deepest games we’ve played on mobile. Highly recommend.

Awesome game! Needs controller support!

We’ve played Monster Hunter World Iceborn before and it was okay but this is a thousand times better! The characters, towns, and animation are awesome but fighting along side monsters is THE BEST! We want to complete it so we can play Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Love the game! Just wish there was controller support, Id love to be able to play more comfortably.

This game is honestly the only reason we paid for the Apple arcade, the biggest gripe people seem to have is the save system. It works fine, just have to remember how it actually works. The game is extremely fun and will have you playing for days, we have left the app and Apple arcade and when we came back our last save was still there so that was great. If you need a good game to get lost into and if you are a completionist of any sort you will enjoy this game, we hope MHS2 comes to mobile as well.

There are a lot of great mobile ports from Square Enix, Capcom, and Indy devs. Bring over final fantasy classics and Dead Cells. This will make Arcade a very exciting and accessible platform. Feedback: Apple if there was anyway to incentivize Capcom to add controller support and Apple TV and Mac ports we really think that will further sell your ecosystem and the pitch for what Apple Arcade is.

It is a really great game, but PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SAVE SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!

Controller support would really improve the gameplay.

Doesnt work as well on mobile, but for ppl that have played MH its kinda pretty normal.

The game is amazing and we know a lot of people are annoyed about the save system which in our opinion its not that bad, but there is one thing that annoys us which is when Im in a den getting all the resources navirou will talk, but other than that its a really great game!

We love the game but we feel like we want 4 heart Im on this like tuff monster thats been blighted and we’ve died 650 times in counting so pls just answer bye five stars.

Many Chinese people need Chinese, understand? It’s not difficult to speak Chinese. Chinese Chinese Chinese ChineseChinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese Chinese.

Backbone controller support!!!

No controller support? Whatever. Stop crying. The original on the App Store didnt have controller support either and was $20 bucks and here we have it for the price of $5 sub. Its a great game, much better than on the 3DS. You want a controller? Play it on the 3DS, but even on that you had touch functions. Otherwise enjoy!

Its a fun game and runs great on iPhone for a ds port. Gameplay didnt stall out at any point and felt accessible. We probably wouldnt have bothered to get out our ds to get this game but given the opportunity we enjoyed its twist on the monster catching formula. Overall this was an unexpected pleasure to get through Apple Arcade and we hope to see more like it in the future.

For thoes of you who aren’t aware, this was originally a 3DS title, we think it’s pretty impressive that they were able to port a game with 2 screen game play to a phone. We think all the negative reviews don’t really get that this was a 3DS game before a mobile one. Is it the best port? No, but it’s pretty dang good.

It would be a top notch game with controller support.

This game is very good. The graphics are nice, Navirou is very cute, we actually kind of like the rhymes that the chief comes up with, but the best part by far is the monsties! Some of them are better than others, and some are cuter than others, but they are definitely the best part of the game!

We love this game but maybe you could make the bosses easier to fight.
