Description

A dystopian survival experience inspired by George Orwell’s 1984.

In Monthly Dystopia, you need to find a way to survive in an authoritarian world. You can serve the dictatorship by being a model citizen or you can try to flee the country by cooperating with the Resistance. You live under a regime in which love is forbidden and using words banned by the Party is punishable by death. Choose your words wisely if you don’t want to commit a thought crime. Remember, there’s always a screen watching you. The paycheck from your job at the ministry editing the past is barely enough to buy the food needed to keep you alive, so it is crucial that you find a way to flee this dystopia where even thinking is forbidden.

You can serve as a loyal citizen, fall in love and constantly fear getting caught, work with the Resistance against the dictatorship, and choose freedom or servitude.

The daily tasks you perform in your apartment are your only way to survive. Remember that your time is just as limited as your supplies. You’ll have to choose between cooking before going to work, taking medication for your illness, or doing activities that benefit your mental state. You can try to protect the people around you by making conscientious decisions or you can escape this dystopia by sacrificing them.

Monthly Dystopia Reviews

Dark, dry, and all too real. The game captures 1984 in a perfect way!

Very artistic and entertaining. Love how dark and immersive it is.

We like the story its nice and mysterious and leaves u on the edge of ur seat.

We’ve just started but so far the game has be hooked.

Cool game. Honestly accidentally bought it but ended up actually enjoying it. Story seems interesting so far(still very early in the game)

Art in the Game is really nice.

So immersive for a mobile game.

Incredible game. Amazingly designed and intuitive. No tutorial given and none needed. This game plays like life. A snipet of life in a terrible place. This is a game we will be recommending to friends for years to come.

Incredible game, very well made and so atmospheric.

We love the 1984 book so its pretty interesting to see this game. We havent played it through yet but pretty good so far.

We are a huge fan of the novel, 1984 and the movie adaptations. We love this game. We always thought 1984 would make a great game, and we are happy you made this. We are currently on day 3 and loving it. Great job.

Definitely a game worth looking at if you dont mind the money. Seems slow so far but inlove games designed like this.

Enjoying the aesthetic and homage to the book. Only mild critique is the tutorial portion could be described a little better. Other than that, liking it!

Theres such a small amount of atmosphere that it becomes dreadfully repetitive. You do the same thing every day and going to work seems awfully tedious for no apparent reason. Theres no opportunities to go out to a pub or see things in downtime. That brings us to the time management theres some days we can only do one or two things before work and it becomes less of a game mechanic and feels like more of a bug. Lastly, it appears that our grandfather has no need to eat food, ever. Other than that good game just needs a little expansion and a good old polish.

Happy to see the gamified version of the 1984 book. More impressive experience than we expected. Atmosphere, mechanics and story of the game just hits diffent. Definitely recommended, worth every penny.

Havent even got to half an hour of game play and we are absolutely at awe at how good this game looks, sounds and plays. You truly will feel immersed with in a few minutes of game play. We cant tell that there was a load of effort to create this game.
