HOW TO PLAY
Moxie is all about transforming words into new words. You start with a hand of 52 letters that you go through "Solitaire" style. Place each letter on the board or "Pass". If you "Pass" you can't go back to that letter.
You score points by:

Making unique words with the letters

Transforming your words into other words by adding and replacing letters. For example: "TIN" becomes "TINE" which becomes "TILE" which becomes "TILED" and so on.

Spelling special "Moxie words" for bonus points
Once you spell a word and start transforming it into other words, don't break the word chain! That's a "Twaddle" and you'll lose points.
There's no time limit and while it helps to know a lot of words, Moxie will more greatly reward those who like to think strategically.

Moxie, where have you been all our life? We absolutely love this game. Im a word puzzle girl, and we love this one still figuring it out. But love it.

This was one of the first puzzle games we ever downloaded 10+ years ago. We use to compete with our mom all the time.
We had this game on our other phones, lost it when we bought a new phone and lost half our apps, and kinda forgot about it and moved on. Yesterday, we saw the word moxie and went to the App Store and redownloaded it!! LOVE THIS GAME! It is a classy game, fun and challenging! We had Moxie 2 also, Ill have to see if we can get that one back, too! Moxie rocks.
This game is pure fun. A simple, fun, easy but challenging game of words. You make them up. This app is the real deal. Thank you.
A hint feature would be nice, and it would be more fun if there were more categories to pick from.

It does seem like its giving serial vowels often though, which isnt conducive to making many words, since later when we need to buy a vowel Ive used them all! We too would appreciate more categories of word lists, especially after years of playing. Someone complained their stats werent saved. We thought ours were. The game still prompts us to enter new records so we hope so.

Ive been playing this for years and finely saw what we suspected; the game does not always register the points you get. Annoying, because thats part of the fun.
When we first started to play moxie , it was fun and exciting. We finally got a decent score and we were thrilled, and we thought we would get better with more game play. That didnt happen, in fact we became worse! Who ever heard of that happening!? The only reason we added this is because we really enjoy other Blue Ox games and we wanted more. We must say, this is the worst one. After having this game for barely a month l am ready to delete it and most likely will.
Great game…but this week the letters in our game are initially white, then change to black. Small problem maybe. Just annoying.
Too many twaddle words that keep taking away your points. Would be more fun if you actually felt like you were winning sometimes. Always having more points taken away rather than gaining gets real old fast. This wont be a keeper game.
We love Moxie and have been playing it for years but the latest update changed the color of the letters from black to white, making them extremely hard to see against the wood grain background. We have to believe that this is an oversight as this color change could not have been intentional. Please fix it.
We love this game. Its addictive and smart and easy to play but not to master. We only wish theyd update it with more caragories.
Something quite different from the typical word games that give you many letters at once! We love this game because it is different and encourages us to plan ahead, and strategize letter use for animal, vegetable or mineral. We find that we are very good at mineral, terrible at animal, so theres always a challenge.
Our son introduced us to this game today and we can't stop playing it! We have always loved word games and need to play more often keep our mind busy.
Moxie two works well on our iPhone but not on our iPad, same iOS version(most recent). Wish it would work! 2 is more suited to the iPad. Love the game, btw. No stress, lots of fun.
We play this throughout the day, in odd moments. Our only word game now. Our high score is 3800 and we hope to score 4000 before we shuffle off this mortal coil.
We love word games and this one is top-notch! There are a lot of crossword games, puzzle word games, word scrambles, word finds; the list goes on (and we love them all!). But there is only one Moxie! Its fun and easy to play, not to mention addictive; but with skill, focus, and a bit of strategy you can get the high scores! Thats when it gets really challenging and FUN!! (Tip: learn the Moxie words!).
We like challenging word games, such as Boggle, Scrabble, etc. We have tried at least a dozen other word games. This is the only one, so far, thats sustained our interest and kept us engaged. Seems simple, but its not. We find ourselves saying Just one more round over and over.
If you love word games , this one is for you . It is fun and challenging at the same time.

We love Moxie…But, we really miss Moxie 2hd. Why havent you upgraded it.
Ive searched hi and low for a fun, challenging word game and this is it. Ive tried about 20 diff word apps and this fills almost all of our needs. We have found there a few words that need to be accepted, ie doe, female deer. But overall Im enjoying this immensely.
Smart, unpredictable, addictive, cognizable.

Enjoyable game! Here's a suggestion that will help players analyze how they have played the round: In addition to counting Moxies & Twaddles, please add a count for how many letters skipped – we.e, how many letters did the player pass on. Thanks.

Like Scrabble, Moxie challenges us to learn new words to improve our game.
They're right–it's easy to learn but still super tricky to get tons of points. Finally figured out words don't have to start in the far left box. Cool.

We have a lot of fun playing this game. While the idea of the game is easy, it is actually quite challenging. But overall, it's FUN.

Buenisimo! However, we do have a suggestion: Award more points when solved quickly. Question: What constitutes a Twaddle? We mean, what am we supposed to avoid doing in order to avoid Twaddling? We just cant figure that out.
Absolutely addictive. But they deny more common words, and allow words that are truly obscure. C'mon! Use a standard Webster's dictionary.
Good way to keep your brain limber.
We really like the game. It is quick and not too difficult but we wish you would add a hint option that would work up to three times during a game. We think we would learn more short words from it. After a while, we would probably shut it off.
