If youre reading our review, take this seriously it is the best game of our life cause we were looking for a mystery case to figure out cause we love that type of stuff and this is like literally we go to and every day after school we literally go on our phone and play this game and even in the car, even when Im in bed it is literally the best you guys should get it if you like these type of games and it is really the best game ever and if you like the series of Wednesday or like like any like murder mysteries or just any mysteries, you should get this please get this if youre if youre looking for these type of games.
The storyline is unique. The game play is relatively unique. You will not know what is coming around each scene. We have always enjoyed MCF games and we enjoyed this one (even on our tiny cell phone).
on the horned lady (no spoilers, its in the marketing images). Otherwise it was pretty good, lots of game time. Lots of creepy but decently done artwork, for some good spooky times.
Not the same recycled mini games.
We dont play games for the cut scenes or the storyline so if this something you like this review probably wont mean much, but we do love a detective game where you can change locations and they bring new and different puzzles This one truly has great puzzles combined with great detective sequences. It has a map to show you where to go if you get stuck (on easy level). It doesnt have any upgrades or lives to cost you any extra money! It has good hidden object scenes. We wouldnt say they are the hardest Ive ever come across, but they put them in at the right times and it works nicely. You can replay all the hidden object scenes whenever you want after youve finished the full game There are a few difficulty levels to choose from and there is always the hint button if you ever need it. The price is fantastic for what you get! And Big Fish Games has the best options for this style of game: a little detective work, HOS, location changes, thought puzzles (although we always skip the math ones haha,) etc. *Big Fish Games has the best graphics out there for this kind of game. We would recommend all of their Mystery Case Files Collection including Ravenhurst as well as their Bound series and Queen Sands. 5 stars from us! Happy Puzzling fellow Detective Puzzlers.
Such a fun game. We didnt want it to end but we also didnt wanna stop playing! The puzzles were sometimes hard but having ability to skip part or whole puzzle helped a lot. We paid for full version and we rarely do that. Cant wait for more games like it but would also be great if it were free.
We love how dark this game is. It pulled us into the story, right away. We are put back by the audio errors. Within the first Chapter, we lost the audio from the characters. We also occasionally loose the audio from the game.
This game had some of the best puzzles Ive played! Very fun! Highly recommended.
We play a lot of these games. This one is quite long and creative. It has more than just HOPs for games. We only wish we could go back and replay some of them separately once the full game ended. Still worth the 5 stars though. Keep these up. Looking forward to the next one.
Good story so far text is a little small.
This game was beautifully rendered with challenging game play. We particularly liked how you integrated stills with animation. We look forward to future games.

FINALLY, Eipix gives us a great MCF game! We LOVE the super puzzles, and this one has 4! Just really well done game, unique puzzles and hops, spooky creepy story, great visuals. All the usual Eipix bells and whistles, but this time they went above and beyond in creating a unique, disturbing, and poetic storyline. Good length, and replay value for us, bc we will definitely want to play this again in oh six months or so. THANK YOU EIPIX.
Lots and lots of mini games, not too hard, but not too easy. Difficulty levels can be changed. Great storyline and graphics too…good for replays as well.
This was fun! This was our first run through, and we had to skip a few puzzles. Im usually pretty good at them, but some were nice and tough. We like that. We will play again and try finish them all. We also love HOS, so you can never have too many of those, as far as Im concerned. The graphics are very good where you can tell an egg-roll from a snail. The story and characters are very well done. Watch out on how addictive this is! We couldnt put it down! We had a hard time catching all the puzzle pieces because some of the scenes were too dark. Ive downloaded the guide, so hopefully we can work through what we missed on the first run through. Im a tail end Baby Boomer and just love the G5 Big Fish mystery games. You can tell a lot of hard work and awesome talent went into this game. Keep them coming and thank you.
We gave this game 5 stars due to its incredible detail and imagination. For our liking there were too many puzzles and many were too difficult. About a third less puzzles would have been about right. Despite that, Im still giving the 5 stars as its so well done and for those who like hard puzzles, its perfect. It was also long so real value for money. Keep these coming but with fewer puzzles please.
We have played many of these games. This one has to be one of the best in visuals, puzzles, mystery and intrigue. This is beautifully done and constructed and has an incredible amount of puzzles to solve that are intriguing. The plot is unbelievable. We can't tell you how much we have enjoyed playing this game. Thank you to the production staff and those that that made this such wonderful experience.
Of all of The Big Fish Game creators that aren't given nearly enough credit, Eipix is number one! We honestly don't play anything but their series' anymore. They have stepped up the HOPA game to whole new level. We love the multi part puzzles, the mini games inside the HO areas and the artwork. Beautiful, beautiful artwork. We will probably never enjoy any of the voice over work but that's just our own personal bias. All in all, every Eipix release in 2017 has deserved a 5 star review. And we never even bother to write reviews anymore. We just hope BF keeps them in board.
Challenging puzzles, interesting plot twists and storyline. These things are better than books. Game puzzles are fascinating. Only complaint was: Where is a bonus round? Lol It was nice and long, however so not necessary.
Heres what we like most about this game. You dont need energy, or lives, or anything else to play. You can get the trail version for free, and if you like it, you can buy the full version for pocket change. No other in-app purchases. It follows a story from start to finish. You have to be pretty clever to solve some of the puzzles, but if you cant figure them out, you can download the guide, for free, and it gives you the solutions. The only thing we dont like about the guide is it keeps pestering you to turn on notifications, even after you click cancel. The only downside, is it does finish, and you have to make a new profile to play it again, but why would you? It was very satisfying for the price. We dont want to play it again, unless we get bored and forget how it ends. Its a very refreshing change from most of the games in the store.

Good game, not much for story line at the end and had the shortest bonus content Ive ever seen. Overall it was a great puzzle mystery that had one after the other of figuring out a new puzzle. Good job done . We give it thumbs up.
This would have been perfect if not for the darkness on every scene. We realize it is for the creepy effect,but,it makes it hard to see ANYTHING at all. This means we cannot even enjoy the incredible artwork! Such a waste. Good HOS and puzzles out the wazoo.
Wow, finally a game we can rave about. We personally don't pay much attention to the story line but at least no fairies and red eyed monsters. The high point of this game were the most creative, intelligent, original games we've ever seen! We really felt mentally challenged which is why we enjoyed it so much. Can't thank the creators enough. Loved it.
Loving the game so far. Just purchased at this stage, and am only 2 scenes beyond trial so cant say much about length or complete experience. We will say that so far, this game reminds us of the buzz with some of the really good BF games andI hope it stays that way. It has some of those fun puzzle-within-a-puzzle complications and the fundamentals to this point have been seamless. Great, dark game. Will update upon finishing, but wanted to give others the review if they want the sale price.

We love this game keeps you entertained and the effects are not Bad, hidden objects are fun and kind of hard makes you think so play it and enjoy we did FINALLY.
Eipix did this round and so far its pretty spectacular. Custom difficulty, journal, map (one downside- hard to read map icons) morphing object in HOP with puzzle in puzzle sometimes, and collecting puzzle pieces in every scene. Indicator on inventory bar lets you know if one is available. A match3 option in hop would be amazing but no such luck. Storyline is kinda twisty so far which we adore! Graphics are crisp and characters well fleshed out. Verdict: Buy.
Lost our screwdriver in the junkyard and had to start all over again. But other than that we enjoyed the game very much. Especially the artwork. Captivating. Set the mood and ambiance. The game was enjoyable and we would recommend.

Some games seemed really obscure.
We really enjoyed this game. The puzzles were reasonable and not too much back and forth. But way too short. The prequel in the collectors edition should have been expanded and part of the main game.
This Big Fish game has exquisitely animated cut sceneshonestly, the best Ive ever seen. The world is immersive, although we dont understand the backstory (which we guess references another game). However, the puzzles are fun and mostly easy, with challenging hidden-object puzzles and object-gathering tasks that are well integrated into the story. This one is a winner.
Really enjoyed this story line. Although it is a dark story which can creep one out, it was well done and had a surprise that we would not have expected. If youve played any or all of the previous MCF games we think youll be unexpectedly wowed. Great graphics but for (once again) extremely difficult to find items in the dark shadow(y) screen. Mini games , HOs ok.
Ive been a big fan of Big Fishs Mystery Case Files games for years…Dire Grove, Ravenhearst, 13th Skull to name a few…and was excited to try this one. Great graphics and voice acting, but found ourselves skipping puzzles and using the Hint button because we were at a loss far too many times for our liking. Interesting concept for sure, but the ending was a bit abrupt and didnt wrap up a the story as we would have hoped. Definitely worth a play, but not our favorite of the series. Also, not sure what happened to the back log of the other MCF games in this series?! Would love to go back and play Dire Grove but its no longer in the App Store.
It was OK, we got a little excited at the end when we saw some of the old Ravenhearst scenery and the house. We really like the old Ravenhearst games. Return to Ravenhearst, Dire Grove, Ravenhearst. We wish Big Fish, Mystery Case Files would upgrade the old Ravenshearst games to the latest IOS because we can no longer play those games.
Great game it was fun but short bonus.
This game is a challenge and has beautiful graphics. The map is little odd, but not a problem.
We have gone way out of our way to try to buy this game. It tells us that you cant buy from within the game. Its the first time Ive gotten that message, but fine, Ill try some other way. But no matter where we try to do it, it wont let us. We liked the game as far as we could go and we expect that it would continue to be good. But we couldnt say since we cant go anywhere from here. We would think that there would be redundant opportunities to buy from an eager customer but so far, no joy. Let us know when we can finish the game.
We think this is so worth the money. Our only issues is that many of the mini games dont have enough directions or none at all.
We love all the mystery games;but sometimes they are a pain in the butt they freeze on you and then they want u too pay the full price for the game. Also BIG FISH have a lot games that are on the game list but are not available for u 2 play get it together BISH FISH because we have a lot of games from u guys.
All the pieces of paper are in a dark setting, along with a difficult font, makes it so hard to read. Theres something about this game that just isnt pulling us in. Dont think we will play past the trial. Sad, we usually like Eipix games.
This is our absolute favorite hidden object series. We actually like the adventure, story, and puzzles more than finding hidden objects. We love puzzles, and the puzzles in this series are the best. We are deducing a star because, even though we played (and always do) on the hardest level, we thought the puzzles were easier than usual and the game seemed shorter as well. We will continue to buy and play subsequent releases, but hopefully the puzzles will be more creative and challenging next time around. Also, we dont understand why Big Fish is no longer selling the backlog of this series on the App Store. Sad only a handful of games are available. PS- we read a couple of other reviews, and they said there were too many puzzles and they were too hard. There are hundreds of HO games to choose from that are easier to play. Stick to those and let us have this series as is.
Smooth from beginning to end, with innovative games and hogs. Eerie, but compelling storyline.
Either Im stupid, or these are the most arcane, hard to understand puzzles in any HO game Ive played. If you like a CHALLENGE, go for it.
