Find out what gamers are saying about Mystery Case Files: Key To Ravenhearst – A Mystery Hidden Object Game (Full):

One of the best games we’ve ever played! Loved the mini games and HOP. A lot more challenging than we’re used to! Still playing the games we couldn’t quite get in the bonus section. Also, loved seeing the creators who shared their stories!

We have played every game in this series. We enjoyed this latest version very much. We had no glitches. It has the teleporting map and labels places with tasks to do. Unfortunately, it does not have custom difficulty levels, so the tasks are only labeled in the easy mode. We don’t like using the hint or skip buttons and in the easy mode it is offered. We have accidentally pressed both and it’s very frustrating. Wish they would offer custom difficulty on all games. We did enjoy the variety of puzzles, they were challenging but not impossible, we were able to solve without help but we had to think. Overall, this was a very enjoyable game!

We love all of the mystery case files games.

We play A LOT of these adventure, hidden objects games. This is the best we’ve played in a long time. Its truly challenging! Most of these games you find objects you can use in 1-2 rooms, but this one really makes you look at the whole game as the big picture, and the mini-games are the best we’ve ever encountered. Each one is a big puzzle you need to solve by figuring out the micro-puzzles within. This is not a cash grab game, or one made for kids to solve. Its complex and challenging. The graphics arent always great, but the story is intriguing and complex. Worth the money, especially if its on sale. We just wish we had played the first Ravenhearst before this one. We feel like we might have enjoyed the story better.

It had good quality and leaved us guessing till the very end an exceptional game totally top notch.

We love most of the MCF series but Ravenherst is one of the best! And these last 2 games are great! We’ve played them over & over, they dont cease to amaze us!

We love MCF, and this is one of the best in the series. Creepy, suspenseful, and challenging. There are lots of puzzles that we haven’t seen before, and there was never a dull moment.

We really enjoyed the game, it could have been a tad longer but no glitches and fairly good plot. However, the part we liked the best, and this is a first for us, was the bonus game! Twists, ok length, dark with darker humor and light humor. It was a pleasant surprise!! The game as a whole (both regular and bonus games) thing was worth the price which is refreshing considering it seems lately the price is going up but the quantity and quality are going down with so many big fish games, so much so we’ve bought less and was becoming totally disinterested.

It was better than some of the other games we have bought lately. But big fish isn’t the same since it was sold off!!

Note to Dracyy: Vermin is synonymous with RATS and mice! Unless our cataracts are that awful, there were no rodents at all in the game! And we kept expecting them, so it was dread the whole game through! Note to Izzyoc: thank you for explaining the beta tester to us. Also we appreciate that you are keeping us well informed about upcoming games. You are definitely an asset to the Dream Team Elite! You and KimTwilight are fabulous with new information and if you haven’t played the Five BN UK games, Izzyoc, you will love them! On to the game! You could choose from 3 levels of difficulty, but there were no customizable settings. There was no journal, but objectives were regularly updated. Collectibles included Raven statues in each location and morphing objects in the HO scenes. The graphics were fabulous, albeit creepy, and the cut-scenes were literally electrifying. All inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked, if so customized, in-game teleport map to transport you there. The game was decently long and included a bonus adventure. The HO scenes were varied to a certain extent and had micro-puzzles embedded in them. The puzzles/mini-games were interesting. They were not just boring rotational stuff, and included some super puzzles, and also there was a case called the Enigma, whose riddles you needed to solve to progress through the game. In the bonus adventure, the dialogue at the asylum was hilarious at times. We shouldn’t poke fun at the mentally ill, but it was still humorous. Why did we not rate this game 5 stars? First of all, EIPIX doesn’t provide us with a journal or diary and we had a hard time following the storyline. Please start giving us journals or diaries; some of us are older players and we need them. Secondly, we found the game a bit glitchy when it came to inventory usage and also in combining objects in one of the HO scenes. You need to test your games a bit better because we need excellent quality assurance. Other than that it was an amazing game, and there were no RATS! We think! Or we can’t see anymore, lol! Lynxie sends to the amazing Dream Team Elite! Without you this genre never would have improved to the extent that it has! We are grateful to all of you who review so thoroughly and tirelessly so that other gamers have a great gaming experience! Let’s keep fighting for what we want! So far we have been successful, and we believe we can continue to make improvements. Thanks everyone for sticking by us and the team and working so hard. You are all AWESOME!

The Ravenhearst series is by far our favorite! Escape from Ravenhearst was the best game ever and we were looking forward to a sequel but Key to Ravenhearst was a dissapointment. The mini games were awesome but we miss Charles Dalimar and couldn’t quite connect to the new character. Overall it’s a good game and still our favorite.

We played this game quite a longtime ago. It’s a fine game but not worth paying for it twice!!!!

It’s a nice game with the good story twists, beautiful graphics, spooky, dark atmosphere, and though we’re not a big fan of such a genre, we got captured with the plot and unusual, novel mini games, which makes our disappointment even bigger, because we couldn’t play those mini games, there are numerous glitches, and we had to choose Skip button every now and then.

The game had great graphics. But it was too short. We have been playing hidden object games for years now. And this is one of semi challenging games we’ve played, shortest games we’ve played. And you charge a good chunk for games that Androids have for a fraction of the price. And we have 2 games that you no longer support. When we purchased these games they did state that play forever. How can we play games if iOS 11 doesnt support them?

We purchased this game on sale, but probably would not have if we had played a trial. Return to Ravenhearst is one of our all-time favorite games, so given that, plus the good reviews, we figured we would love this game as well. Not so. We despise this game! This is one of the least intuitive game we have ever played. We have to use the hint button constantly. Yes, the graphics are excellent, and the play is pretty long, with a fairly long bonus game, but this was one huge disappointment for us. We have played it twice now, and still find it exceptionally annoying.

There should be a refund policy when these games don’t work. Got stuck on a Hidden Object game, nothing would pick as found. Deleted, reinstalled, started over, could not pick up the mailbox key, it just sat on the screen.

Was disappointed to see nude pictures in a game rated 9+. As soon as they popped up, we deleted the game and will think twice before purchasing another Mystery Case Files game. We have purchased and enjoyed many of your games. Sorry to say, we may not ever purchase another one.

Totally disappointed. Not like the original ravenhearsts .. Lame story .. Graphics by preschoolers.. Too predictable .. Original versions put this one to shame.

We purchased this game when it was on sale because we love this series. But we have been trying to download it ever since and it won’t download. We are so frustrated! We paid up front and got nothing for it. Big fish, fix it please!!

Kept us entertained. Loved the multidimensional HOAs. Lots of fun mini games. Very clever.

They’re creepy and they’re kooky, the inhabitants of Ravenhearst! You are back at the Ravenhearst mansion, which has figured prominently in other Eipix games. Luckily, you need not have played any previous games to enjoy this selection. Every scene has a hidden Raven, some Morphing Objects, and lots of spooky puzzles. The Transporting Map is a big help, and the Hint and Skip work well. Nice, colorful artwork, despite some dark scenes. You find lots of hidden notes to increase your knowledge of the history of the mansion. You must also answer questions about the house’s occupants in order to progress through the scenes. If you have not played previous games, the Skip button comes in handy here! We recommend you purchase this little gem!

They creators really raised the bar on this. One aspect of the name needed was the map. Lots of back and forth. Enjoyable.

We love, love, love this game. We have completed it through without one glitch. The mini games are challenging, especially the multipart ones. This game has some real length to it also. It has almost Steampunkish visuals and every new room is a real surprise. Great job!

Great game! Love the Mystery Case Files! Wonderful variety in puzzles and excellent storyline and animation.

We don’t usually take time to offer a review but this game is one of the best!! The story line is like watching a movie, the detail and graphics are outstanding and the length of the game is what all games should be. Words are hard to describe how awesome this game is, you hit it out of the park!

Beautiful graphics, good mini games. Not too hard. Nice hops. Interesting story line.

Excellent graphics, many HOPs and puzzles. Suggestion: Make the Hint and Skip buttons customizable.

The Ravenhurst branch of Mystery Case Files is not for those looking for a cute little Alf puppy helper. Ravenhurst is deliciously twisted, dark, macabre and creepy. Not for the feint of heart you will find spiders, Ravens, vermin and twisted puzzles and plot lines. While each plays as a stand alone they are all chapters of a old and evil family story leaning to the dark side of human nature. Morphing objects in hop, ravens hidden in every scene. Transporting indicated map, labeled inventory. No custom difficulty. Probably not for the very young as it is rather spooky, but for adults and fans of the macabre and fellow Ravenhurst fans we say buy and enjoy!

Good game could be a bit more creepy for us but nice story.

You actually get to use your brain figuring out the puzzles. They were fun and challenging. Enjoyed the whole game.

Oh so good!! One of the best, great job everyone!! Give yourselves a pat on the back…… Love all aspects of game including the extras and the BONUS GAME!!!!!

First, why can’t all BFGs be like this one? This is the kind of game that made us fans of BF. This is a HO game filled with great puzzles including Super puzzles , we call door puzzles. The HO’s were interesting and we’re not a fan of HO. There are puzzles within puzzles. We haven’t finished the game but we wanted to get out the review before the sale price offer ends. At 3.99 this game is a steal. Please offer more games like this. One. We are playing on an Ipad air.

We love this game and all the mystery case file ravenhearst games.

What a great game. So much entertainment.

Warning: Critters galore but no rats so far. The storyline focuses on a dark, morbid, and gruesome theme as you explore the grounds of the Ravenhearst Museum where mayhem and murder took place years earlier. The moonlight casts a ghostly glow as you make your way up the rocky cliffs with its winding paths and dangerous drops. You travel through misty fog past overgrown weeds poking through the cracks of walkways to a remote, desolate museum slightly dilapidated from years of neglect. This is where you are visually shocked at the ghastly sights of death-like faces staring coldly at you from portraits above and where you meet your untypical tour guide who appears as an artificial figure presented in human form with a "TV" head being manipulated and moved side to side by strings from above. Levels of suspense are elevated through the sounds of rain pattering on the ground with thunder resonating and lightning flashing around you. We don’t know about you, but we’re keeping the lights on tonight! The graphics are fairly clear, and purple is overwhelmingly the dominant color as it overshadows any hints of other colors. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The teleport map has quick transition; however, it did us no good since we played the second mode of difficulty. The HOS are varied, interactive, and include our favorite – Find and Use; some have puzzles embedded within. The puzzles are creative and varied; some are presented in a gruesome manner showing blood and gore. We love the intricate, sequential puzzle boards, which are synonymous with this series. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick. You collect some things; you can see for yourself. We took off a star because there were no custom settings, which affected the map; and there was no journal to record any material you read. We accidentally closed out of a diary before reading the text so we missed part of the story. It’s still a good game. For your leisure, we’ve been suggesting other games in the last few months; and we want to share several with you all. We just finished playing some of the following: *Developer – InertiaSoft: 1. Facility 47: we left a review for this exciting game. Awesome storyline that reminds us of the movie "The Thaw." ($3.99 full unlock) *Developer – Lone Wolf Games: 1. The Enchanted Books 2. Blackthorne Castle 3. The Lost Treasure *Developer – MediaCity Games: 1. Alice Trapped in Wonderland 2. The Mystery of Crimson Manor 3. The Lost Fountain *Developer – Fire Maple Games: 1. The Hidden World 2. The Lost City 3. The Secret go Grisly Manor All of the above games range in price from .99 cents to $2.99 tops. We left reviews for a few of these, but we’ve played them all. They all contain nice graphics, very engaging scenery, unique storylines, imaginative puzzles, labeled inventory, hint system, and good length. They will not contain a bonus chapter or collectibles, and they do not include hidden object scenes. In addition, the map will not teleport you or indicate tasks. There is no hand holding here; they make you think. The journal will store clues to solve puzzles, or you might have a camera to take and hold pictures of clues. You need to use logic and work your noodle. These were very engaging, intuitive, and comprehensive enough to be able to figure everything out. You should give the above a chance. Also, we previously mentioned two HOA; namely the following: 1. Castle – Never Judge a Book By its Cover. This received great reviews and was loads of fun. We left a review. 2. Paranormal State: Poison Spring. This was a great HOA that is not receiving the recognition it deserves. Read our review, and try the demo. Hope you have fun!

Am loving this game. Wonderful graphics and really like the hidden objects and puzzles – also the story line. Give it a 4/12.

Rating: Four and a half stars rounded down to four Overall a good game with most of the bells and whistles comprising a good collector’s edition. And if we hadn’t played any of the earlier Mystery Case Files games, this would probably be a five star rating. The Good: Collectible ravens, morphing objects in the HOGs. Nice variety in the HOGs so far – we especially love the highly interactive HOGs where one item leads to the next. Clear graphics, good voiceovers (but no moving lips on the characters). Reasonably quick transition times between scenes. Interactive/transportable map. The Bad: Although there is a decent level of creepiness in keeping with the Ravenhearst series, it has been somewhat "Eipixed". They are great game designers but whenever they take over an existing series (Ravenhearst, Dark Parables), the series starts to lose some of its originality, and this isn’t an exception. The puzzles so far aren’t the mind-bending, tricky ones we remember from the earlier Ravenhearst games; which we suppose might be better for us since we did tend to get stumped on some of them, but then again we did like stretching the brain somewhat. Only three modes of play and no custom mode. Drat. The Ugly: Nothing to report. Upcoming game releases: Big Fish: – Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst Unlocked (also Eipix) – Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avengers – Dead Reckoning: The Crescent Case – Sea of Lies: Tide of Treachery Artifex Mundi: – Grim Legends 3: the Dark City Absolutist: – Contract with the Devil – Mystery Expedition: Prisoners of Ice Also worth checking out today if you haven’t already: Mumbo Jumbo: They do the Midnight Mystery series (one of which was released by Big Fish games – Witches of Abraham – but the rest were released directly from MJ). The graphics are a bit darker than we prefer, but the games bring an interesting feel of history to the mix and are reasonably priced. Best of all, they also come with free trials so that you can check it out and see if you like ’em. The other games are "Devil on the Mississippi" (Mark Twain), Salem Witch Trials and Haunted Houdini. Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for those pesky collectible ravens; some obvious and others quick tricky to find. To Lynx Minx: with respect to public beta testers, we are only aware of beta testers for PC games before their initial release, not for IOS games. The purpose of the beta tester is to play the first 30-40 minutes of a pre-released game to catch any inconsistencies, glitches, feedback on general story flow, music, dialog etc. You can usually sign up for beta testing on the game developers website (I’ve done a few for Artifex Mundi). Hope this helps!

This is a great series and this one does not disappoint. Worth the time and money. Great extras. Superior hint recharge. Especially enjoyed the puzzles.

We really liked so much about this game. So many things we enjoyed. The mini games were so much fun, we love that there are several mini games within the mini game and are given specifics for each, along with the option to skip all or sections of them. It was a bit creepy, we like them a little less creepy. (It’s funny that a few others wanted more creepy.) The only reason we did not give the game five stars was, we just didn’t love it. The bonus chapter was more of a chore than a game.

A little too dark for our taste, but had all the elements of a good hidden object game. We like that you could go back after the game was over and find your achievements if you missed a morphing object, for example, while playing. Like the mini puzzles within the hidden object games as well. Even though it was dark we appreciate the better story telling than some of these games have.

For some reason, we always seem to have 1 place we get stuck at on our iPad….

We haven’t played any of the older MCF games, so when we started playing this game we were totally clueless about who-is-who and what-is-what. That’s frustrating since the game itself is pretty good, great graphics, interesting story, great HOS and mini-games. It’s just super annoying when the game mentions certain characters and events, and we have no idea what it is talking about or what is happening. And by the way, one other negative thing is that the map was rather finicky, it didn’t respond right away and required a few taps for transportation to different locations. We don’t think locations were labeled, either. So our advice is- if you haven’t played other MCF games, you should probably skip this one.
