The story line was pretty much the same as most games of this sort but the game itself was fun.

We are enjoying this game. Especially after trying to collect so many leaves in the last game. We like there is not so much back and forth. Tasks are grouped in cohesive units of several scenes before moving on. Thoroughly entertained.

This game gets 5 plus stars from us! A long game with a longer bonus chapter. Loved the torture chamber, tarot cards, story line. Everything was so well done! Bravo!

Love this game-very challenging!

We have always been a hidden object fan and whenever we’re given a chance to play, we do. Kathy, aka margie2123, aka hazeleyes569. Thank You for your chance to play.

This game is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Intriguing, dark, intense, and pretty defined nice animation graphics. Its easy and on the mini games you have a choice to play easy or hard. We really like that feature. No other Big Fish game we’ve played has that feature, which we think makes this game unique easy plot, not too difficult, good graphics. Entertaining. Five stars all around. Thanks Big Fish.

We think this is one of the best games! Some don’t give enough info. TY. Keep going.

We liked it, and it had a lot of different types of challenges. It also gave you a chance to find all the different pieces throughout the game, so there was still more fun to be had after the actual game was over. Cool graphics, and a great storyline…. Very historic, so you actually get to learn a lot about real midevil practices. Have fun!

It was fun, hard, lasts a long time everything we look for in an adventure puzzle game. Love Big Fish games.

Worth playing. We like the fact you can choose many levels to start with and different levels within the puzzles.

At $2.99,this is a steal. Great value!

Good game to play. If stuck, had good resources to find your way.

So, this is about the eighth game we have played of Dominis and we cant believe how they make such good games every time and how we only discovered them a little over five months ago after being a huge HOG player for years! They really are a superb game company. In this game/episode, you again play a woman who can put on these special glasses and see psychically into the past. This time, she is dealing with a witch. What we absolutely adore about the games besides the great artwork and storyline and games, Domini always puts that extra something in. In this one, the pages of a book get scattered and you have to find them throughout the game. Each one has a cool drawing and some witchy thing like a broomstick as well as a description of the item. They do this cool step in many of their games and we LOVE IT. It makes the game so much more interesting and immersive. Thanks again Domini for a killer game! Keep em coming, PLEASE! Lady Three Eye ~~~~~

Interesting story, pretty good graphics. The mini game instructions were a bit vague sometimes though.

This game is a lot of fun. HO plus Mystery. You know, we find it humorous to see people complain about paying $6 or $7 for an app; but have no qualms about plunking down that same amount for a coffee at Starbucks.

We like it so far. Will probably get it. It is not to hard and responds well.

Hello team. After collecting 176 leaves in Tree of Life, to get the hidden chapter, which wasn’t even really a chapter, we are exhausted and wanted a new good game. We really liked this game. Domini gave us all the bells and whistles. You could customize settings. This game was lengthy, it had good graphics, it flowed well and the storyline was easy to follow. Inventory was labeled and interactive and there were complex items to assemble. Tasks were regularly updated. There was an excellent marked teleport map and it would allow you to see if you obtained all of the collectibles, if you chose that option. The HO scenes were varied and you had the choice to play match-3 instead. Domini gave us the option during many puzzles to play in easy versus difficult mode. There were many puzzles and games, something for everyone. There was enough to do at each location. We did not experience issues with touch sensitivity. We did deduct a star because there was no cohesive journal, loading was not instantaneous between locations (however lag time was quick), and there was a lag exiting from the cut-scenes. All in all, we still really enjoyed this game! Oh yes, no rats either, always a plus. No wonder Dracyy said nothing! Lynxie sends to the amazing Izzyoc, KimTwilight, Dracyy, Catalina and the rest of the DTE!

…. But she really gave witches a bad name. Although that’s what our husband would say we were like on a bad PMS day! Ha! Most games in this one were too easy. It was fine playing it but it will be one we forget once we’re done playing.

There’s not a lot challenging things to do in the game, but we’ve enjoyed the introductory game. It had a couple of HO scenes and a couple of really simple tasks. The free selection was over rather quickly, which suggest the game may be short, too. It’s in our list to buy right now, but we want to look on the net for its length and other reviews. We just checked the reviews for the computer version. First observation: that version is only $2.99, a dollar less than the iPad version. Why? Do they think iPad people have more money? We certainly don’t. Second observation: it IS short. It has 6 chapters. The free selection was chapter 1. It took us, at most, a half hour to complete. If the other chapters are the same, we’ll get maybe 3 hours of play. Too short for the price.

But there were a few puzzles that either the controls were unresponsive or the instructions failed. And we do these a lot. Otherwise a five star.

Our rating is grudgingly rounded up from a 3.5. There were some really annoying negatives, such as: – if you accidentally click out of a minigame, it resets the entire puzzle; – the bonus chapter was a rush job that literally reused minigames from the main game; and – if you miss a collectible in any given scene during gameplay, thats it. There is no way to find them later. But Domini Games does come through with a seamless transition (Im looking at you, Elefun), beautiful, immersive graphics, and a storyline that we found interesting. While Eye of Fire is definitely not one of their best games, its better than many in the Big Fish catalog and is worth buying at the sale price.

Feels a bit dated, slight lag between scenes, storyline and characters could use some serious fleshing out. Artwork is decent but morphing objects (inquisition torture items) can be difficult to spot. We feel sorry for the witches. Written from inquisition point of view. All that aside- you have special glasses to view certain areas with so you can interact with the past. Finding gold tarot cards to collect also. Has match 3 option for hop. Decent map. Verdict: worth playing but not spectacular.

Lots of hops and lots of puzzles. The hops were list, interactive and silhouette. The puzzles ranged from easy to difficult, and a choice of casual or hard was available for most of them. We are a puzzle lover, so we were excited by the ones from Domini, as usual they are better than most. We really liked the colored discs/bone hands puzzle, great sound effects! The story is a bit lacking. For example, youre called in to help a woman, then shes not even seen again after the first few scenes. And Madlena is supposedly returning to power because this woman youre supposed to help is the first witch born in 500 years. Then we learn another characters daughter is also a witch. Also not a fan of the whole positive attitude to the medieval inquisition theme, in this case its a real witch, but as we know, hundreds of people were tortured and killed that were innocent. Graphics were fine, couldve been a bit better. Lengthy game. Collectible tarot cards that, if all are collected, give you an extra game, which is an annoying one, similar to one in the main game, where youre given a set of cards to memorize and then remember, but they move each time and you dont know which cards youll need until youve tried and failed. Collectible morphing devices, and witch pages. Solid 4 star game, especially if you like puzzles.

We enjoyed the fact that this game had a lot of interactive tasks. As for the graphics & characters, they tended to be on the blurry side – not terrible just not crisp. Teleporting map, morphing & tarot cards to find along the way. We loved the hidden objects scenes & the variety of puzzles. Would have liked more character interaction. Objectives were very logical in where to go and what to do. Surprise bats flying out at screen (startling!) but nice touch. No glitches, and am not sorry for this purchase. Play & enjoy. We have been in a real dry spell lately for offerings of what we call Great games. P.S. Fellow gamers let’s still work on getting more than 2 games a week from Big Fish. KdBoots.

Nice game, but not very intricate. Too easy to learn. We dislike the mini games and like the hint and skip times to be shorter to avoid them.

Good game some of the puzzles were way too hard and then others were way too easy but all in all we had a good time playing it.

Not terribly difficult, but imaginative interface. Definitely worth the $1.99 sale price!

We liked some of the mini puzzles as they were different than similar games. The story was rather weak and the witch pretty sad. Overall the game seemed shorter. Not sure it was worth the full price.

Since we play these mostly for the games, we really enjoyed this one! We like a good brain workout, so we gave it 3 stars. We knocked off 2 stars because the story was hideous. It made it seem like burning witches was okay when it happened in the past! Certainly it was okay to kill the murderous beast of a witch who returned. We disagree strongly with this whole concept! Rather, write a story where the burnt witches come back as the good ones, hoping to restore the place of women in the modern world. You missed out! The story continued the false stereotypes not only of witches, but of women. Shame!

Very additive from first minute of play. Nice variety of games and puzzles. But once game or puzzle is started there are no additional hints available and offer of match 3 disappears. Story line is confusing.

Behold the scornful and cunning witch who returns to seek revenge for being burnt at the stake some centuries long ago! The setting is typically foreboding and menacing as you travel around a dusky and forsaken village, which is haunted by the spirit of a wicked witch. The graphics are mediocre in quality and presentation; they appear slightly fuzzy, which diminishes the clarity of details. The color spectrum is overflowing with effulgent and luminous tinctures radiating out from the dusky and tenebrous background. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled, interactive, and highly puzzle-like; many mini-sized puzzles are embedded within the inventory close-ups. The teleport map allows for fluid travel to labeled locations and indicates available actions; you can choose the option to enable the collectible indicator. The task book solely records collected reading materials, such as notes and letters, and updated tasks. Non-map transition between scenes is brisk; however, transition moving into and coming out of the cut-scenes is clunky. The HOS’s comprise assorted fashions, and they are creatively executed to spark your imagination. We love the one where you first find x-ray-like items by their silhouette shape; then, a word list initiates. You can choose a preferred difficulty setting for some of the puzzles, even though they are mainly elementary in nature and offer no real challenge. We did enjoy the pool game though! You have several sets of collectibles to discover, including in the close-ups. Make sure you find all of the Tarot Cards so you can unlock a corresponding game in the Extras. Gotta love that Torture Chamber! In summation, this is better than the last disaster–not by much though. The coveted components that we desire, such as custom settings, are incorporated; however, the storyline is both unexciting and rehashed since it does not introduce any new ideas. Furthermore, we wish that the puzzles in the harder mode were a bit more elevated in complexity. Moreover, we found the touch sensitivity regarding inventory usage to be a bit glitchy when acquiring and placing items. Finally, your journey is quite beeline-oriented because no more than a few scenes are open simultaneously; there’s not much back and forth. Overall, it’s just not knocking our socks off. Our true rating is 3.5 stars, but we bumped it down to 3 stars.

The story was OK. It was not captivating enough that we wasn’t able to walk away very easily from this game quite a few times. If you’re looking for something to merely pass the time then yes this is for you. We liked the fact that you can move via the map. We did not like the fact that every single time there was a mini game you had to select the difficulty that you wanted to have on that. The hidden object games were OK. It was fairly short but we don’t regret paying for it.

This was a soup2nuts snooze fest. We downloaded based on the high ratings-anticipating a great game… Instead we were dozing off….. So we’re confused. First up: The GLASSES. Why are these goofy obnoxious clunkers required in order to view altered scenes? What test Audience actually encouraged this? They are SO incredibly cheesy (oops! Almost forgot the wine!) they’re too ridiculous… Or is it us…. We are struggling to comprehend the attraction and… Whoa… Hold the smart phone…! Waaaaaaiit a second…. Can they … Actually be … Popular?? We now recall seeing something about "special glasses" (oh they’re special alright!) in at least one other game, as an actual, um, gulp,.. ,.. Selling point …? Hmmmm…. It may ….. Be us. Or we didn’t drink the Kool-Aid.) Still we simply don’t get the attraction. But then again, we don’t get the Kardashians +=()+ or cat videos either. We’re clearly the minority. Okaaaayyyy…. Moving right along (and away-far away – from this fascinating topic…) we were let down even further by the overall mediocrity: There were no challenging or HOP’s Mini-Games or Puzzles. There were the usual training exercises: Lots of running….. Baaack. And foorthh–>…(visualize her running in the opposite direction) While locating and waiting on, the laundry list of items, we were struck by sharp feelings of boredom and drudgery…(reminiscent of our wedding night) Nothing to sink your teeth into. A waste of the great graphics: they were full, rich and well thought out, in all the scenes and characters. So much potential…. Lost. Better luck next time. Why not try a racy setting or storyline? Scantily clad women, men in chaps, drag queens…. Just a thought. San Fran (-Fan)

Because of blurry graphics and text, and distracting loading screen between scenes, did not purchase full version.

We dont understand how these iOS games keep getting 5 stars. There is not one that is not just a revamp of a desktop game and it is very rare that one is even close to original. This one is certainly no exception. It almost as if the developers cut and pasted the puzzles and missing objects from one game with a stupid story to another with even a worse story. We have purchased several games throughout the COVID scare to pass the time and was happy to see that most games were only $3 for the end of the year sale. Im certainly glad we didnt pay full price for this one! Until we see some games, or even A game, that is not a 5 year old game claiming to be new, Im done with big fish. Im tired of being one of the 25 million suckers!

We wanted a hidden object game, but this is some kind of role playing task-based nonsense. Awful like most of the big fish games over the past few years. Awful.
