Stoked theres a way to conduct citizen science from our phone! Learning tons about the oceans invertebrates without even trying. Would recommend this app for all.

Mind blowing game! We got the app 1 hour ago, and now we are obsessed with this!- Mary Schroeder 7 years old.

The pictures and music are mesmerizing.

Love learning about the depths of the ocean from the safety of our sofa. Always interested and even thought about oceanography but settled in biology. Thank you for this!

Im a novice reef tank hobbyist. While searching for coral guide apps we came across this app. Really happy that one of NASAs focuses is reef preservation across the globe. Corals are such amazing animals and true treasures on this planet. This app is in fact very educational and we really enjoy reading about facts of each coral type. Really happy to see many people who are passionate about ocean conservation joining this community.

This game is really fun and relaxing at the same time, which is hard for a game to pull of. And knowing the fact that you are saving the worlds coral reefs, enhances gameplay more.

This game is incredible. Its easy to get a hang of, its fun, and you get to help be involved in science.

What a great idea: a game that is instructive, useful, non-violent, with beautiful images of the underwater!

Straightforward & quick to learn. Features a legendary female scientist narrator in Sylvia Earl! Play assists in supercomputer learning & an actual citizen science contributionwhats not to love?!

This game is a genius idea! This game lets you help out the oceans from wherever you are. Its also really fun. Over all a really great thing.

We love everything about this application. Its a game where you can learn, enjoy and help save the planet even if its in a small proportion. The application does a great job at making you feeling significant in the journey to environmental appreciation and salvation. As a biologist, we are learning even more about coral reefs and hopefully with the data sent we can make even bigger discoveries! We even feel honored to be a part of such an important study.

We tell people we work for NASA now.

Such a unique idea and wonderful way to help with mapping the corals. Who ever thought this up is a genius!

This is such an awesome concept because it mobilizes people from across the world to make a huge difference from their phones. 10/10 would recommend.

So we have been using this app for months. Not to be rude but this is a citizen science app not a coloring page for your toddler! If you cannot read or just dont want to, please dont think this app is for you! We keep reviewing transects for Tumon Bay. We dont know why but we feel like a lot of the pictures are getting misidentified by users. There are some new classifications used in the Tumon Bay area that we feel people are misunderstanding. We had to go online to figure out what a fire coral looks like and Im not sure everyone knows the difference between beach sand and underwater sand. When theres an anthropogenic object we think that may need defined. It would be nice if NASA uploaded definitions for the new classifications specific to Tumon Bay. That way everyone using the app is on the same page!

Neat app, but our fingers are huge and we might be better off with a pen ! Very nice experience though. Wonderfully relaxing music too.

Found this app straight from NASA website and sadly the app will not connect to server. Unfortunately the support email is not a valid email address. Bummer.

This app is so much fun, and helps Nasa to study and go over data about the ocean floor. We love the app and give it 5/5 stars!!

The simple idea that playing this app may contribute to the improvement of AI used in the field to identify and catalog different forms of Algae is intriguing and makes playing more enjoyable. Fun for the whole family.

This app is absolutely amazing! We love learning about the ocean this way!

We absolutely LOVE this game. But there are some minor improvements we would like to see: the ability to make all colors except the current color invisible/more transparent, and secondly a meter to show what % of the coral patch you have covered with paint so you dont miss anything. Overall we love this game and we love the feeling of doing something easy to help out our oceans!

Love getting to be a part of real reef classification.

Mindless fun! Like a coloring book but SCIENCE!

Our daughter and we are connecting over corals! We’re learning about all the different coral families and doing some peaceful 3D painting. We’re still in training mode we think, but once we’ve done enough, this app will let us classify corals to train a machine-learning algorithm! Super exciting!

And its super fun! NASA has come up with a really clever way for people all over the world to help classify our coral reefs! This is a great game for both kids and adults – highly recommend!

Very educational app where we are able learn the eco system in real life in our comfort zone.. The way we progress and learn about the types of corals in different location on our planet is awesome specially the AR & 3D corals..

This is a great game to relax and enjoy while say, listening to music, or listening to an audiobook. The graphics are also very high quality, and it helps nasa learn more about coral reefs.

We love this game. We really like NASA. We want to study space when we get to college. This game is amazing! 5/5.

This app is easy to navigate and is educational while allowing you to contribute to such a great oceanic project with NASA. You start with a very easy tutorial and each time you Classify you get to learn about new parts of the ocean. And who doesnt love to color!

Easy to use, fun to play ,and educational all at the same time. We love that while its super entertaining, it also contributes to science and helps others to better understand our oceans and learn more about fish, and coral. It feels nice to know you are helping change our Earth for the better while also being able to have fun. :)

Im coloring to save the world!!!!!

Im really loving this app/game. Help Dr. Sylvia Earle help save the coral reefs.

Id really, really recommend this to anyone! Please get this app, it helps to save our Earths beloved coral reefs! And, its enjoyable!!

We like having something to do with our hands while we listen to music or audio books and this gives us a great way to relax and still be a little tiny bit helpful to some part of the world.

This is really fun! We dont usually play games on our phone but this ones going to give us a crick in the neck for sure. Its addictive, but instead of spending time wasting time like most games, Im spending that time exploring the oceans for REAL ! We could see kids spending hrs on this thing without so much as peep, much less a Mommy and they are learning too?! Its too good! We only wish it worked on our old iPad, cant win them all we suppose .

Awesome app! Its very straightforward to use for anybody, and you get to learn about marine coral and more by using; and simultaneously helping NASA to better map and evaluate the health of our Coral reefs. You get to paint color coding overlays onto detailed 3D coral plots of real coral, which is satisfying to do by itself, but also feels really good because the 3D data you are analyzing is real mapped coral and your submissions get sent to a real super computer which helps compile data and improve its AI through public inputs. All in all: a great resource to have fun and learn while literally helping improve data to help save the planet! -Thanks to the team at NASA working on saving our reefs, and the people who made this app! (I end up using this app for periods of 30 minutes or more because its so satisfying and borderline addictive to submit your work because you know it has a real impact. For most people, its seemly small actions that will contribute large scale globally: in the case of saving our reefs, which are being harmed by human impacts, everything little change or effort you make, contributes to a larger effort. SO PLAY YOUR PART AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE by just downloading this app!

Im totally enjoying this app. Your mind focuses on what your coloring and the background music is very entrancing. We find it an awesome way to block out the world and relax.

This is both easy, fun and addictive! And you get to help save the earth too!

Educational game that also allows you to help map the corals in the ocean. Recommend this for all ages. Im interested to see how this progresses and if NASA does expand off of it.

It is great we just started playing and we are already rank 6. We love the game! It is great for homeschooling because we can do it on our own and still learn about fish and coral. Age 9.

We just wanted to say this is such a cool way to engage the public and we are currently in college to get a BS in marine biology and hope to one day work to restore coral reefs through growing them on reef farms.

This is an incredible tool to help actually improve the world in which we live in. Training Nasas ai to be able to classify these reefs is such a valuable tool to understanding our surroundings and be able to assess the damage weve cause and hel us learn what we can do to reverse the damage before its too late.

We know its relatively small compared to what actual researchers do, but its fun to know youre helping out in some way!

This is a great idea for a game. Help researchers identify coral, learn among the way, level up etc. The 3D models are very nice and the music is very fitting. There are some technical issues it seems though. Downloading data and loading data is not consistent and sometimes just straight up doesnt happen. (It makes doing things like reviewing very difficult to accomplish). If those small things can get ironed out this would be an amazing seamless experience.

Its like an underwater coloring book! Im very addicted and dont want to do anything else but play this game.

We first off want to say thank you so much for creating this app and finding a way to bring valuable and productive activities to our literal finger tips. Just knowing that what Im doing will help in any way with the oceans makes us so fulfilled. We hope this app becomes a blueprint for more apps that bring users into real world current problems and actually help bring about change. So Im an 18 year old and a lot of the apps we use for entertainment are games. What we like about this app is the coloring and learning aspect. We just have some ideas about some graphics and the character aspect and also some controls. First we think there should be a physical manifestation of a character that can walk along the sea floor that we could control and that could stop when we see coral that needs to be colored (kind of like animal crossing). This would definitely keep us more entertained cuz now it feels like Im just being given new pictures from a database. We would also recommend making some of the graphics more similar to games like Neko Atsume and less 2000s computer graphics style (Im sure this is already being worked on) Stuff like the boat could be a place where a physical character can move around and the graphics could be more appealing and cute. For controls we also dont like how we have to use three fingers to change 3D perspective because we like to hold our phone with both hands at once and dont like having to lift one hand away. We know this is our laziness but we feel like a lot of our friends would agree. There could be a more seamless way to change perspective both 3D and 2D and still be able to draw quickly without having to use 3 fingers. We would also love to learn more about how the AI is being taught and how our pictures are used to teach it to see our impact. Again thank you so much for making this game and we hope our review can be useful you guys are doing amazing work and we appreciate so much that we can be a helpful part in it.

This is the best game we’ve ever played! There NEEDS to be more advertising, because this game is great!!
