We play at least a game a week and have a hard time finding a really good one. This game was so incredible, we played all night long. We would play any games by this company and hope there are more. Didn’t want it to end. It was challenging and different than any of the other games we have played. Well done!
This is one of the best HOAP games we’ve played in a while, and we were impressed with nearly every aspect. The storyline was a fairytale fantasy that actually made sense and brought the characters to life. As the queen who seeks to rescue her king and kingdom from a treacherous villain, you must collect several artifacts, each with a powerful magical ability. Determining when you need to use a particular artifact then watching the consequences tremendously enhances gameplay. The graphics and cut scenes are state of the art, and the soundtrack was gorgeous. There weren’t too many HOPs (which made us happy), and the HOPs that appeared were complex and creative. The minigames were innovative and the high quality you would expect from Mad Head. The map enables teleportation and shows you where there are active tasks; the two clicks necessary to access the map were just a minor irritant. We’re not sure why other reviewers said there wasn’t a journal. There is one, although it only covers your current activity. There is an outstanding, lengthy bonus chapter that serves as a very satisfactory sequel to the main game. There are many, many other extras that we won’t spoil by describing here but make sure you find all the collectibles during the main game so you can enjoy them all! Strongly recommend!

So far the game is interesting, graphics good. Hidden object puzzles are varied. Our complaint is that it has a map – but instead of just tapping an icon to get the map, you have to access it via the menu. Awkward and annoying.
One of the best features of this latest installment has to be ASHBRINGER! He is some major eye candy. He reminds us of Lee Pace as Thranduil in "The Hobbit." Come down to earth now, Kim. We always enjoy the tales of Nevertales; however, we find the action to be less intense here than in the other ones. The special effects and cut scenes are always intriguing and movie-like. The graphics could be crisper and sharper; the colors appear very light, airy, and pastel-like. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled, interactive, and puzzle-like; items require assembly. The teleport map, located through the menu, indicates available actions in custom mode. Transition between scenes is smooth and quick; locations are labeled between scenes. The HOS are interactive, creative, and sometimes multilayered. The puzzles are fun and varied; we love the storybook types where you gain parts of the story. You have some collectibles; they can be well hidden. There were some negative aspects. There were no reading materials to advance the story, which is unusual. In addition, we found touch sensitivity issues with acquiring and placing objects. There were no other issues though. Overall, it’s still a good Madhead game.

We will never play this game again. Most of the mini games were logic or sequences. Some of the hidden objects were matching pairs. Some things didn’t catch well, too. We didn’t like the graphics either lol. It’s a very long game with some cool stuff we haven’t seen before as well though. There’s not any instruction for the games and we had to skip most of them. Too frustrating. We don’t like thinking that hard we just want to find hidden objects. Lol.
We bought this game and yet there is no record of us purchasing this game?!?!?!?! Funny how this happens, isnt it? Strange thing is, our debit card was charged… How sad to resort to these tactics in order to make money. In our book it pretty much is stealing.
The version that is on sale today is NOT 65% off….. And it appears like it it is a brand new game because it says we have to get again… We are looking at our receipt….. Dont know why BF is doing this and again… If 55% off is $2.99 then 65% off is not $2.99…. False advertising.
Mad Head did an outstanding job on this one! The artwork is bright and crisp, the HO and mini games are varied, the map could be more useful and it doesn’t have a diary but it really doesn’t need either. Long story short you are on a quest to save your hubby who is turning to crystal. Superpowers, twists, turns, a megalomaniac, and tons of varied tasks await. Good for all ages, no vermin so far but if there are any given the nature of the game they will probably be cute not beady eyed. Collect amulets in every scene, morphing in some HO. There is an indicator lower right letting you know if there is an amulet for that scene. Verdict:buy!

We’ve played through probably way too many Hidden Object Adventure games and can state – without a doubt – that this one is absolutely among the best. It was so well put together that it doesn’t even make sense to try and describe everything we loved about it… Because the whole thing was just awesome. Cheers to the folks who brought it to us. Nevertales: Legend reminds us a bit of the Choose Your Own Adventure books. There is a dreadful dilemma right from the start, and you never know which people to trust. There are lovely kingdoms in the clouds, so you must fly to them in your airship. Your gorgeous husband, Ash, is dying of a mysterious disease which crystallizes its victims. You need the Healing Scepter in a desperate way! May we just say that the music is lovely and appropriate, and the puzzles are similar to most others. You collect signs of the Five Kingdoms (such as Fire, Clouds, etc.) Each new symbol energizes your character. So far, there have been a few surprises, and we’re enjoying myself. This is a bit off the normal fighting story line, so relax and enjoy!
Ok this was really a good game, the graphics are awesome, loved the story line and our only neg remark is that we hate having to get to the map using the menu…. Otherwise loved it !! Way to go.
We honestly tried to love this game. We really really wanted to love this game but as it went on we felt like we were forcing myself to continue. We enjoy many of the mad head games but not this. They truly have a unique feel to their games like how they explain mini puzzles- excellent job with explaining the games! For that and the portable map that details your next move, beautiful graphics and nice mix of hos and mini games, we will have to give 4 stars. Seemed like the solutions used thru many parts of the game were odd & didn’t make sense. Having to hit menu to then pull up the map irritates us badly too. On casual nor custom mode were there sparkles to indicate an interactive scene like it says there will be. We personally like that as we’re a very casual player. Found myself forgetting the story and our end goal many times. Maybe it’s just our odd day but we had a hard time following it. If you’re bored and can’t find a decent game then give it a try. Otherwise do yourself a huge favor and try FIVE-BN GAMES, LOST LANDS SERIES AND NY MYSTERIES SERIES! Mind blowing!
Graphics leave a lot to be desired. Game is confusing at times. Hints can be wrong. Hard to navigate. Story line not bad.
From the time it was first downloaded there was no sound at all. We turned the sound on our pad up, but that wasn’t the problem. It was the game itself. We don’t think it’s fair to pay for a game that is technically inferior. We’re pretty mad about it, and we want our MONEY BACK!!!
Terrible, awful, just plain bad "game". In all the years we’ve purchased Big Fish games, this is by far the worst we’ve ever played. No wonder Big Fish now doesn’t let you try games before purchasing!!!
