Northgard is a Strategy/Roleplaying game from Playdigious, first launched in 13th April 2021.
It’s rated 9+ and currently has 3,490+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Northgard Stand Out
Northgard is a strategy game based on Norse mythology in which you control a Clan of Vikings fighting for the control of a mysterious newfound continent.
After years of tireless explorations, brave Vikings have discovered a new land filled with mystery, danger and riches: NORTHGARD.
The boldest Northmen have set sail to explore and conquer these new shores, bring fame to their Clan and write history through conquest, trading, or devotion to the Gods.
That is, if they can survive the dire Wolves and Undead Warriors roaming the land, befriend or defeat the giants, and survive the harshest winters ever witnessed in the North.

STORY MODE: RIG’S SAGA
The Viking High King is murdered and his Regal Horn is stolen by a man named Hagen.

The continent where he will make new friends and foes and discover a much greater threat than Hagen, and the reasons behind his father’s assassination.

Love RTS games and this is a great one with good variability in strategy based off of the clan you choose to play.
Best game ever because its been in our family for a very long time over 15 yrs now an we keep on buying the expansions fingers crossed for more with out to big of upgrade thank you for all the many more years of entertainment for the family and friends.
The menu constantly closes itself when setting up games or loading saved ones. Game freezes when major battles take place.
When will Chinese Mandarin be available on iPad.
Northgard nails the RTS experience on iPhone/iPad tight gameplay and great visuals. Its the most satisfying mobile game Ive played in a long time. Hoping the devs drop an expansion or a new title soon.
The game is amazing from the story mode to the multiplayer! Just needs the update the pc got like the new modes and more clans would be even more awesome! If youre looking for a great RTS game this is it.
We really enjoy playing this game. It keeps us preoccupied and the graphics/gameplay is amazing. Ive purchased all the clans and used each of them on multiple occasions. We just wish they update the game and bring on more clans and maybe even more game modes.
Fun and challenging. The recent update changed the game a bit which is nice. Must have for tablet. Love this game. Been playing for years.
Really fun and easy to learn game. Similar to AOE but easy to manage on a phone or iPad. We think its worth the money. Online would a massive hit if thousands of people played it. You can still find games but have to wait a couple min.
Fun game, initially had an issue not being able to continue in story mode, they hot fixed it the next business day. Updating from 2 stars to 5.
This is one of the best games we have played it balances strategy with resource management perfectly and we have been playing it with friends and family for a long time. Theres one issue though. Whenever we try to go into story mode it lets us watch the prologue, but then it only allows us to rewatch it so we cant continue in the story. We hope the amazing devs could figure this out and patch it.

Why is this mobile version of your game not letting us make and name our own save? Why is this mobile version so much more user friendly than the PC version.
Decent game a little pricey but good. Takes a while to learn the mechanics.
We love the clan selection and its own special abilities and perks, though we wouldve love it more if there could be an undead faction. We have to sacrifice so many of our people and slaves to keep up the ritual of the dragon clan, if we had to do that then we rather have an undead army and people. It may not being a lot of happiness because undead have no emotions, but at least we have a force that can be easily made and disposed of. Like undead cant give happiness and cant be healed by a regular healer, needs a special artifact for that.
We really enjoyed this game but theres definitely some fine tuning required. The menu constantly closes itself when setting up games or loading saved ones. The market trade routes dont display in a manner that allows to utilize it effectively after you meet like 4 other players. Theres countless issues like these throughout but it doesnt completely break the game only makes things harder.
When's the next update to northgard the PC version is on v3.7.58.42580.
We adore this game but recently Ive had issues with the game freezing when we get into playing single person mode. Ill play for a bit, maybe 30-45 min, then the game will completely freeze and Ill have to restart the app. Although the game auto saves, it never saves to where we were, which is really frustrating when Im trying to make winning moves. We would give this game 5 stars if we didnt have this issue.

Game plays smooth but then it lags and crashes as the game progresses often. Then you're unable to rejoin your game just on the cusp of winning.
Ive enjoyed this game as a base builder/colony/ exploration with combat, as many mobile games dont really hit that notch of feeling full, or they end up being p2w. But there seems to be no desire or communication about ever releasing any of the PC content to mobile anymore. Its truly an amazing game with a definite learning curve that doesnt feel rigged. Every clan has a strength, a weakness and ways to work around them. As a player theres much to be able to learn and improve on later. But, you have to accept it for what it is now, and not for what it couldve been. Were over a year now without a clan update despite 4 being released since, or conquest mode. The chance of this game being updated again is unlikely. Id recommend this game to anyone who loves the idea of a smaller civ type, but dont expect anything new. The mobile and console versions are abandoned.
Theres a lot of potential for this to be enjoyable, unfortunately ruined by bugs, crashes, bad usability/UI, and poor accessibility Not too mention you have to pay for anything more than a couple playable clans.
This is a real game. The controls work great on the iPad. Wish there were more like this.
Update 2: Oddly, game started working fine when we got back home and was connected to WiFi. Maybe a coincidence, we dunno. Our signal wasnt even particularly bad when we were trying to play it on the go. Update: Sadly, we took the time to write the below review despite not playing the game in months, but felt the devs deserved it. Finally got around to playing again today, but the game is no longer playable for us. The UI is glitching on us, as we try to go through the menus, seems to keep reversing back to the previous menu/screen/view every few seconds. Thought it was an issue with our phone screen or something at first, but after cleaning it and then testing out other games/apps, its definitely an issue with this games app only. Hope this gets fixed ASAP, once it does, we will revise this review again. This is on an iPhone 15 Pro Max on iOS 17.5. Im a casual gamer these days, but Ive tried our fair share of mobile games. 80% of them get deleted after less than an hour of play because they are just bad, cheaply made, lose their appeal quickly, or obviously just cash grabs. And get deleted. 19% fall into one of the above categories, but remain on our phone because of some addictive aspect to the game (character progression or collection or something), or because theres a serious lack of quality in the App Store and we want at least something to play if we get bored. Then theres 1% of truly great games, games that we wouldve played in our younger days on the console or PC when we were serious about gaming. This game falls into that category. Have almost as much fun playing it as we did playing AoE or StarCraft 20 years ago, and to be able to enjoy a game that much on a phone is awesome and hard to find. Kudos to the development team.
We came across an issue of the sort where we couldnt get into a multiplayer server. It stayed stuck fluctuating between 0%-20% loading. We gave support a full description of the issue and within two days time they corrected this and gave us the correction. This review was given in appreciation of their fast response time in correcting a problem to someone who has enjoyed playing their game at its full capacity. Praise God for he has gave us the knowledge to be of service to those that he has created. Thank you Northgard Creators for your service unto the World.
Im on a 12 pro max and Im a casual gamer, sadly our save file got randomly deleted and soon after, some of the graphics started going out on the terrain. Will keep playing but hope these get resolved. Also what happened to the female audio sounds? Just curious.
Add more free content to the game aside from clans and maps.

The game is great it just crashes on iPad way too frequently. You are also not able to rejoin a game when it crashes. Please fix this.

The reason we bought this game was because it resembled AOE, now for some reason it keeps crashing when it tries to open. Idk if its because of a update or what. Tried uninstalling and redownloading but still happens. Fix the crash issue and Ill leave a better review.
Great game with endless replay-ability but it is riddled with bugs and crashes. The devs really beed to work on these since we cannot login into the game du to immediate crashes. Upon reading other reviews many people complain about the same bugs and crashes. Please fix so we can all enjoy this wonderful game.
Great game, unfortunately we are unable to play any longer since Ive purchased 2 clans. Game boots us as soon as it connects to the Game Center purchases or internet. Please fix.
We love playing this game with our brother in the morning on the weekends we just dont rate anything 5 stars.
We would easily give this game 5 stars, for the brief time we were able to play it, it was awesome. But now it crashes the second we try to open it. Even uninstalled and reinstalled. Updated our iOS, hard restart the iPad, nothing we do has worked. If they make it playable, Ill be back in a second. Ill happily update the review if they fix the crash issues.
Man, this has got to be one of the buggiest games with the worst server issues and each update seems to make it slightly worse. We attempted 3 games today, all 3 on a very solid wifi network, and all 3 froze and disconnected without allowing us back in. Same thing happened to our teammate, except where we can get back into the game 50% of the time, he usually cannot. Im on iOS and hes on Android, both playing the most recent version of the game with the most recent versions of our respective OS. It doesnt matter how large the game (2v2 or 2v2v2 or 3v3), nor the map type or size – same outcome. We can play a game to completion about half the time or less.
Was really enjoying this game. Challenging but not over complicated. Pretty graphics and interesting game play. Got pretty far in story mode. Put some time into it. Was having fun with it. Then it crashed. When we try to open it, it goes to the title screen and then closes. Numerous times. Many. Tried our phone on and off. Did a forced restart. Offloaded the app and re-downloaded it. Still crashes at the title screen. The only remedy left is to delete it and download it again. Then we will lose all our saves and progress. Have start over. Not gonna happen. When we delete it, it will be gone for good. Thanks for the fun while it lasted. Unfortunate it was killed by a bug. Buyer beware.
This game has seriously shocked us with extensive high end game playSOOO GOOD.
Fun game, a little slow paced but excellent nonetheless, BUT frequent crashes plague this game. We'd still recommend it but only for desktop. The amount of crashes make this game frustrating to play. Been playing for a couple years and crashes have never been fixed. Also there is big lag around season changes and some other map events.
Our iphone 14 pro max could light a fire running this game and it crashes and freezes all the time. Fun game though otherwise.
Love the the game. However, server issues cause games to crash in late stage games and 6v6 games. Really frustrating and getting hard to come back to the game when it crashes and you have 30-45 minutes invested. Smaller games (duals, 4v4) are reasonable on server issues. If not for those issues, this is a 5 star game. Great replay-ability. Different factions have real differences and warranty very differs types of play styles making this unique. Love it, just please fix server issues.
