WHAT IS AN ESCAPE GAME? HOW IS IT PLAYED?
The basics of the game principle come from the adventure genre. The goal of the game is to leave the place where you are trapped. This task requires skill, patience, and logical thinking from the player. This place is usually a room that has at least one locked door and holds some items and hints.
If you tap your finger on an object, you examine it, similar to a classic point and click adventure. Watch out! It may be worthwhile taking a close look at objects and having looking from all sides …
Sometimes multiple objects can even be combined to receive new objects or hints. Occasionally, the meaning of an item becomes apparent to you at a later time. That's why you should regularly check your inventory to make sure you are aware of the items you carry with you. We don't usually write reviews, but we loved this little game! The style was lovely and we found the puzzles to be just hard enough without being frustrating. We only had one puzzle we needed to look up (because we wasn't really sure how an image was supposed to look) but otherwise, the in-game hint system is wonderful! We love that it gives you some pushes rather than outright telling you the solution! The story was engaging, too! We loved this game and we definitely hope for more like it in the future.
All we have to say good for long car rides and interesting and fun.

This game was genuinely a good puzzle. The art as clear and aesthetics are really pleasing. There was a respectable amount of ads for the unpaid game, but not as frequent as most other games are.
The functionality and detail of the game are beautiful, and the story is, surprisingly, even better. Ive heard some people complain about how the game doesnt give out a warning about the story involving child abuse, but in our opinion, hiding that fact is pretty important. We just wish there was a way that the developers could continue the story.
This escape game is awesome! The level of difficulty is manageable and it keeps you captivated from start to finish. It took us about 3 hours. Really made us use our noggin :) we loved it, great work :)).
We really enjoyed this game. The controls were good, we LOVED the fast travel option. The story kept us hooked and im dying to know the whole thing. Ive been looking for a good puzzle game and this definitely delivered.
We normally dont write reviews but we have to for this one!! Let us preface by saying that we do a lot of escape room games, both on pc and mobile. We usually prefer non-story based ones but this was absolutely captivating. We will say: trigger warnings and content warnings are absolutely necessary for this game. If you have trauma or problems with child abuse and c-ptsd, this is not going to be the game for you. The game itself is lovely! We love that there is a fast travel option added on as the map expands (greatly appreciated, devs). We dont think we ever figured out the hint system, which is kinda sad cause we did end up googling a walkthrough, but the storyline was the reason we wanted to keep going. We did spend a lot of time spinning in circles, looking for what we could click on and apply our items to, but when things are intuitive, they made so much sense. Its very clear for the most part what you use and where. The dialogue at the very end felt cathartic. Overall so happy to have played.
Overall, really like this game. Its art style is certainly unique compared to other games on here and everything is pretty well put together. The puzzles were kinda hard, and the big mansion the game is set it doesnt help much. The hints being completely free really helped, and the fact that they tell you where you need to look first before giving you each part is really nice, since you can still solve the puzzle yourself. We had a really fun time with this one and even though we never see them, we really like the main character and their input on things.
This game is amazing, the story is so captivating (we wont spoil it but just wow) some of the puzzles were intense, it took us forever to play without hints so its definitely not a quick, boring, one-shot. There were some ads but they were well timed and not very often. Definitely recommend playing this.

Love the atmosphere and its tons of fun! Obligatory 5 stars for an awesome indie game lol we would suggest adding more tips for where you're supposed to continue (specifically the clock puzzle bc we spent so long there) Maybe add dialogue that says: "we don't know the solution…yet." for when the player doesn't have the correct items.
At first we were like oh great, we love puzzle and escape games! We love that the hints are free, and the fast travel. Watching the end, we were, like, speechless. We dont even know the words to describe the emotions it made us feel. Its a beautifully made game, and the storyline is amazing. We had no problems with the gameplay, there was a reasonable amount of ads, and the controls were simple. Overall it was just awesome.

We really liked this game. It was so long! The hints were great, starting off with simply your next quest is in X room and then increasingly more specific. There are ads but they werent so many as other games Ive ended up deleting. In fact, it was probably good for our eyes, as otherwise we had a hard time peeling ourselves away! We did wish we could be closer to the rooms – more IN them even when not observing an object. We really liked the fast travel option bc we got so lost in there. Keep making games.
Loved the music and story behind this game (spoiler) the mc getting over his past and the connection with the house May or may not have been the police questioning him or his memory itself just questioning him but we feel this is just a perspective on a murder case and how it connects to his past.
We found the story sad to be honest but it was goodddd!!! Please make more like this!! We thought it was a simple escape room but NOOOO had us going back and forth and back and forth because we were trying to figure things out by ourselves first before we go to clicking on the hints. Its such a good game!! Im looking forward to more like this.

Downloaded on a whim because we were looking for a cool puzzle game. We were blown away! We love the story, the cool aesthetic and the intrigue. We also love how you can get as many hints as you need, which is a great feature if you get stumped often. We cant believe this is free! We look forward to seeing what this developer does next.

This game is sooooo beautifully made! We love games that are interactive like this and also holds a very interesting storyline. We can tell the developers really took their time and they loved the game they created. Music is amazing and graphics are amazing!! We loved it! Keep up the amazing work! Truely the music and the sfx with the movement and clicking, as well as interactions was amazing. When we finished the game, you know, its like finishing a really good book, or movie. We want more and though the story is a little grim, play the game to find out why, we loved it. We payed the no ad though. Its two dollars, these two guys deserve it. For only doing it part time and making a game better that a lot of other games Ive played. Devs, pin this comment so you get more people to play, we really hope the best for you all.
We enjoyed this game from start to finish. The graphics and controls are consistent and not annoying. The hints are just right – not too much when you just need a nudge, but enough to get you unstuck when necessary. Worth paying for, to avoid the long ads.
Game pretty good, controls were sometimes annoying but the music and the whole game creeped us out. The explanation at the end was a bit confusing too(the credits music was pretty good tho). So overall pretty good game just freaky. +we noticed a bug(we think) the Eyes snow globe cutscene wont let us exit and wont do anything really. We had to exit game to get back.
Such a great game. We just wish there were more games like this on the App Store. Story kept us intrigued the whole time, loved the ending. Just vague enough to get us thinking about it the rest of the day. Puzzles were great, hints were helpful when we got stuck. We wish we knew you could fast travel to different rooms sooner. It was so confusing trying to remember which doors lead where haha, but thats probably our fault great game, developers should be proud of this masterpiece.

We love this game! Kind of spooky and atmospheric, the puzzles are just difficult enough to enjoy solving them without getting too frustrated and just giving up.
We got this game on our iPad and it kept crashing, we nearly left a 1 star review. One time, it just worked, and it was honestly one of our favorite games.
Decent game, however it does not warn of its themes of child abuse or horror elements anywhere. Fairly intuitive gameplay (though we used hint system often due to our spotty memory) with a story that rewards its player for paying attention. It is short though that means it never overstays its welcome and while the ads took us out of the story or had us forget what we were planning to do, they are necessary for keeping the game free which we appreciate.
The game is pretty nice overall and entertaining but its annoying with how you have to figure out what hint is in which room and where the hinge belongs to. We dont remember where any of the rooms are and even the map doesnt help us out so im spending most our time in the game trying to figure out what room we have to go to. Its also pretty annoying that you could be in one room and need a hint and all the hint says is the hint is in ____ and it would be in a room half way across the map thats difficult to get to/remember how to get to because of how many hidden rooms are in other rooms. The storyline im not really paying any attention to because we just want the puzzle not the storyline. Theres also a lot of useless sentences about things you click on that you cant skip through. It gets annoying but the game is somewhat fun.
We get what you were going for, and we cant complain to much about the story as it did have us interested and wanting to know more. The ending cutscene imo was fine we guess but some thing were told so plainly obvious when we already got the clues. The point is to let the world building reveal little hints and pieces then FILL IN the gaps with the answers (or maybe lack there of) in the end. Meanwhile we just got regurgitated what we already find outwhich just made us let it play until something new was being revealed…. And then the puzzles itself… Its not that theyre hard but some things are un explained and unintuitive. How am we supposed to know that you can drag things in the room,how am we supposed to remember that when those are so few and far between? The map is so big we forget where anything is even worse some things are so small or blend in that were just completely missed. The end was the worst because we knew exactly what to do but for the life of us we did not know where the first letter of the code was because it was so small vague and unmemorable unlike the other clues. We even remember seeing the letters throughout our journey. But, we could not be bothered to fast travel to every other single room to find it then to just end up missing it cause again, its hard to see so we just gave it to ourselves. Overall theres a lot of potential, things like dragging and tilting are fun, and if a new game is made similar to this we hope it can fully live up to what this couldve been.
The game is a great puzzle game, definitely gets the gray matter working. However there is an issue with ad system. The issue is and isnt that there are ads. Let us clarify. The issue isnt that the devs use ads to support the game, the way theyre done here works, which brings us to the issue; until it doesnt When the ad server doesnt load an ad, even though the device is still connected to a network, the game has an error screen for the ads failing to load, which would be great if the failure of the ad server didnt cause it to pop up constantly afterwards. 40s of waiting, for 1 second of gameplay before it reappears. All while still connected and its due to the ad server not the user.
Yea uh, good luck having more time playing the game. We have spent more time on ads than playing the actual game. 2 stars though because the visuals are nice. Just wayyy too many ads.

The puzzle game has surprisingly many positive reviews. The game is unfortunately pretty badly produced from the graphics to the room control. The details are lacking as is the finesses. We have played a lot of escape and puzzle games and we want to finish them once we have started. But this time we actually quit because it was tedious to navigate, boring to solve and really overall unimaginative. Was looking forward to the game but cannot recommend.
Obnoxious graphics, that would have looked great in the early 80s. The graphics are so poor, the app has to identify the objects for you with text descriptions. A button to turn the room 90 degrees really?! Having played similars apps with beautiful and inmersive graphics, we couldnt stand NOX for more than one level.
Us and our wife competed against each other and some of the puzzles were difficult but it was a wonderful game. Hope theres a part 2.
This is not an easy game but it is so worth it. The puzzles are manageable and the hints dont require watching ads. There are a few ads that pop up every once in a while, but definitely not enough to restrict gameplay. The storyline is mysterious but well put together. Overall Im super happy with the game.

Amazing game with minimal to no adds (add duration is just longer) each puzzle is unique and all connected. For an app, this game has in depth structure and the feeling of being immersed into the world. The end narration brings the aha moment to lite.
To be honest the game is really good. The puzzle part is really interesting and made us felt concerned when we were playing. We love the story the whole game told, but we still think maybe its too simple so that we cant feel it. Anyway, as a Chinese , we truly hope game developers can translate these texts into Chinese in the future.
This was by far one of the best escape games Ive ever played! The graphics are amazing and the animations are smooth. The plot is also very captivating!!The puzzles are a good level of difficulty too.
We can not express how wonderful playing this was. The story line was intriguing and easy to follow. The end really ties it all together and we loved that we wasnt just one room after the other. PLEASE PLEASE make another escape room like this one!!! It was so awesome. We loved it! We highly recommend getting this but the age rating is reasonable. It can be a bit scary. Again, this was the BEST virtual escape room we have ever played.
Loved this game difficult enough to be into it but easy enough not to give up. It has wonderful graphics and the game was overall very fun. The mysterious vibe was awesome and highly recommend keeping the sound on. It had few ads and we really got into it. And all the puzzles made sense and whenever it got hard, theres always hints. Anyway, love this game and definitely going in our top 10.
