Community Insight:

So much fun but reminds us of legend of Zelda in to many ways and it is so easy to get lost in the game.

So this game looks amazing, like it is really impressive. Like our mind is pretty blown, totally worth every penny. Whats more is it appears that the issue with iCloud save has been resolved which is also amazing. This is definitely one of our favorite mobile games we have played for sure, and we have played quite a few.

Well worth the playtime. Took 24 hrs. It is a very good on the go game. We would like not to compare it to Zelda but there is no way not to. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Nintendo should be flattered. If you enjoy LoZ we promise you will enjoy this.

This game is pretty much great in every way, we have few complaints. We would however advise anybody getting into it to use youtube walkthroughs and wikis for help. Unless you are a level ten gamer some of the discoveries are very easy to miss and you can end up sitting in your boat wondering where you are supposed to go like an a-hole. Get a list of the island names and google "how to discover —–island" when you get lost, which you probably will. Use playthrough videos if you can't get past puzzles. It's called cheating. Do it. Everybody will be happy.

Great game, but needs an update. Crashes constantly; and if you start a new game some of the chests are already open. But otherwise a very entertaining fun game. Please update.

Im twelve and we saved up money when we were ten to buy this game and we loved it was worth every penny.

We were writing a review for this for 45 minutes and we think nobody wants to read that so maybe its good it didnt work out.Anyways this a good game and we started put this review with 3 stars but we think Ill bump it up to 5. Oceanhorn 2 is pretty good as well keep up the good work.

This is literally the best game Ive ever played. We have been playing this game since we were 5. And Im 12! Good graphics, dramatic story, puzzles that kept us busy for hours! (Not really) fun, and easy to use controls. We have mastered this game, and most games we have played we completed and forgot about them. Not this game! You know, this would make a pretty cool movie or LEGO set.

Thanks, now we can play Zelda and listen to Spotify, great game.

This game is great! We played it 100% 3 times. It is definitely worth getting. DO NOT READ ALL THOSE REVIEWS ABOUT HOW ITS A RIPOFF! IT IS NOT! A ripoff is a character basically ripped straight out of something and has a few tweaks. This game is like WIND WAKER! WIND! WAKER! NOT BOTW! We recommend this game A LOT.

We played this when we were a little kid, and Im very glad our dad bought this game for us. The game is really fun and addictive, theres many puzzles to solve and the story overall is wonderful. However, now we sometimes crash every so often (which is strange?).

We love it because you can kill digital creatures.

Its no Zelda game but Nintendo doesnt have any mobile Zelda games so for a mobile copy its very good all the other copys are bad we would rate this 4.5.

We have an iPhone 11 and this game is quite old. Could that be the reason.

We love this game! Ive played it several times over the years. Recently its been crashing though.

We keep coming back to this game. Would love to see mouse and keyboard support.

Reviews should be objective and, obviously, this game is imperfect. But its just too smart and beautiful for an iOS game to go on about its shortcomings. For the price point and platform, it doesnt get better than this.

For the price its a really fun game, we got about 16hrs worth of playing it until we defeated the boss. We didnt get to finish each island but we can still go back, even after we defeated Oceanhorn, and finish playing the game and to complete all the islands.

The game is amazing we love the floating island.Tho we hate how Prt 2 is only for Apple Arcade.

As soon as we got in the boat and started exploring, we were hooked. The story was great. Its not the most in-depth story Ive ever seen in a video game, but the gameplay more than made up for it. It took some patience to fully enjoy it because the controller support is kind of iffy (especially when shooting obstacles in the sea), but we loved the boss fights. Music is also a strong point. The ocean theme ended up getting stuck in our head during the day when we wasnt playing, but we didnt mind this because the music was so good. Buyers should be aware of early crashes. This game crashed several times while we were getting started, but it no longer does this and we dont know why. Just keep trying if it does this. The only points of criticism we have are the controller support and quest logging. We think it should be easy to go to a quest journal or list to get a sense of what Im supposed to do next. We got stuck at one point and had to scroll way down to read what the hermit wanted for his project. We have a few other gripes, but they can be attributed to hardware limitations at the time of release. Fantastic game, and we hope to be wowed when we play Oceanhorn 2.

The game is fun!! It has a lot of adventures; Itll take you to a lot of places. Places that youve never experienced before with other games here on apps. Our favorite part of the game is the very cool puzzles and how to find the characters superpowers and armors. Joy1000.

This game really made us have good times a while ago. We remember when we would keep using new files and completing the game over and over again. It brings us back to the good old times.

Its a fantastic game, zelda ripoff or not. Thats all.

We love the game. We already beat Oceanhorn 2 so we wanted to play this. We love the puzzle theme but keep in mind we play on our phone. Im at a part trying to get the emblem of sun and one of puzzles is timed for 15 seconds. And we cant do it in 15 seconds because Im on our phone and the mechanics are clunky in puzzles. Note for devs, smooth the jumping feature with the trench boots. We cant do the puzzle because our jump will roll instead of jump.

We strongly suggest to play it after you play the Prequel Oceanhorn 2 on Apple Arcade.

So we just got into the island of whispers. We got our first skull. When we are teleported our from that first puzzle we some how glitched into a spot where we are blocked by a box and two gates to the right. There is also a cave unlocked by a lever there. So we are permanently softlocked and cannot go anywhere else in the game. Hope you guys are happy. Its really a huge disappointment. We were prepared to give this game five stars once we completed it.

Excellent adventure and beautiful graphics. Definitely worth the purchase.

Runs choppy framrate on our iPad. Can you guys look into it please? All together great game.

Excellent game for all RPG lovers.

We used to play this when we were like 3 but we couldnt read English so Im going to try it out.

Well its ok but when we were defeating the king for the emblem of ocean he kept killing us too much when we were in ice.

We love the game, very fun puzzle, open world style game. Very beautiful game. We glad it now fits the entire screen of the 11 inch iPad Pro. Thanks for updating;).

We LOVE the game BUT we beat it in 12 hour for 8$ we would expect the gameplay to be at least 24 hours to beat the main story but sadly we beat the whole game in 12 hour and we love this game so much but when you beat it you beat theyre is nothing else to do.

This is a great game, which is admittedly not flawless, but very worth the purchase price. We highly recommended this game if you are one or more of the following: -Like a fantasy narrative game with a story and puzzles to work through. -Dont mind, or even enjoy a blocky, cartoon aesthetic. -Played Oceanhorn 2 (a prequel 1000yrs in the past of Oceanhorn 1) and want to make more sense of the, some say perplexing, ending. Make no mistake, OH1 is a step down in quality from OH2, but it is still very worth playing, especially if you want to understand the broader world and story arc theyve created. -Or, from what we understand, if youre a Zelda fan, youll also like this. There are some buggy elements to some of the mechanics that can be vexing at times. Other reviews cover them well enough so we wont belabor that here. Im not an avid gamer, with the majority of our experience via mobile, so take this with a grain of salt, but this is one of our top 3-5 favorite games ever.

Oceanhorn is a gorgeous fun title that is well worth the asking price. It might be one of the most beautiful games on the App Store. Gameplay is smooth and the controls work well except during the boss battles where the speed and accuracy needed to win exceed the ability of iPhone touch controls which means you might not progress past the first boss for instance. Also, it is a bit grindy and the constant respawning of enemies is really annoying. Get yourself some kind of iPhone controller to really enjoy this beautiful game.

Enjoy the game a lot! There is a lot to explore and its definitely fun. The only issue we have now is that we cant play for more than a few minutes before the game crashes. Seems like the developers gave up on updating the game or something? Please fix the game so we can keep playing it because we really enjoyed it.

We played on Apple TV, we loved it so much with a truly unique storyline! Def recommend But we lost all our progress and cant start again witch is really annoying.

This game is so fun but the Nimbus+ controller does not work for the mobile version of this game! Please fix this.

The game is good, of course takes a lot from the Wind Waker, more like pays a tribute to it. Only problem is that the game crashed about 3 times and Im about 10 minutes in on our iPhone 11 pro.

We love this game. A good windwaker type game. Why are people hating for not being like that legend of Zelda game. This game was NOT intended to be just like it. This is most likely BASED off of it. You can't expect to have games JUST like something that it is just like it.

We like this game. We have both Oceanhorn games. Whenever we use our iPad to play Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas, it glitches us out. Also, it would be nice if there was a flag on your map telling you where to go. Like the flag in Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. Also, if you could add something to where you can always see your quest. These things would definitely make this game much better and we think that it would get more people to buy it.

Oceanhorn is a really awesome game and we love it. But the one problem we have is that we are unable to push objects so therefore we cant go into certain areas :,( so if someone could maybe help us out? Thanks.

With the exception of the horrible fishing minigame, which might be the most frustrating game mechanic ever designed by a human, this is a really excellent Zelda-style adventure game. It does have problems with the iCloud save – the iCloud save will often be about eight hours or more behind our local save – and some of the achievements can get tedious, but overall this is basically phantom hourglass, but modernized and with better sailing. Also, a feature request for the developers: have our achievements be in the Game Center! Its weird having Game Center support but not having any achievements in the game sync with it.

This game is the CLOSEST thing to Zelda youre gonna find on any kind of tablet/mobile device. Its really well made, like EXTREMELY well made. It brought back so many nostalgic memories of playing Zelda on NES, but MOSTLY, from playing our ALL TIME FAVORITE, The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, on SNES. Out of EVERY GAME out there, specifically classic games from NES & SNES, maybe even GameCube, Gameboy, & DS, this is like closest to SNES The Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past. Our ONLY issues we have are, FIRST; it can be difficult to maneuver things some times, not bc its just us being high maintenance, it can get a bit glitchy almost. SECOND; it can be a tiny bit difficult to follow, as far as the story, the instructions, & the actually setting of the game. THIRD, it can all of the sudden spawn you at the starting place of the entire map, where you 1st start when you start the game from beginning…. And it does that sporadically. LASTLY, & MOST IMPORTANTLY, it can delete all ur saved data out of no where. Im the ONLY person with access to our iPad & our account. And this has happened to us twice. The first time, we had about 4 hours of work into it, and when we went to play one night (we had been playing it earlier that day), ALLLLL our progress was completely gone. We KNEW we had saved everything correctly. Ive been gaming since 1987 on the Atari and Commodore computer (sp?) But we just shook it off and started over. From that point on, we ALWAYS paid VERY CLOSE attention to saving. And like clock work, we were a GOOD Distance in the game, got on maybe 20 mins later (we had left it idle to answer our phone) and thinking Id pick right up where we left off, nope! It was alllll gone! OTHER than that, its an AWESOME GAME! We Highly recommend it. Also a side note, its probably been fixed since we last played a few months ago :D Good luck everyone and Happy Gaming! :D.

The game is really good so far, however there is a song that plays on the first island, as well as the forest island as far as we have noticed, and it has this random glitch noise that takes away from the immersion. We have to play with no sound whenever this song comes on.

This game is a pretty good zeldalike for mobile. We like the graphics a lot, especially for a game this old. That said, there is absolutely zero sound design in this game, which makes gameplay feel very hollow. There are no sound effects for anything at all. Some of the in-game text references things making sounds, but theres no sound. Music still plays at least, but the soundtrack is hit or miss. Theres also no full-size map, which is a weird choice since theres a minimap.

Game is enjoyable, but controls on iPhone are so annoying.

Ive been have an excellent time with the game as the progression and difficulty are perfectly balanced to make you want to keep playing. That being said as you get to the final level/island theres a room colloquially referred to as THE QUITTING ROOM that has an extremely tight time puzzle that Ive tried about 30 times at this point and before we delete the game we decided to warn a potential future victim. If it wasnt such an otherwise good game we wouldnt be this frustrated by the unimaginative and cheap puzzle.

We like the game, but we cannot beat the first big monster because the controls are too difficult to complete the job. We wish the developers would allow a skip after a few tries. We cant go further without completing the task.

Love this game but it needs an update to fix some bugs and freezing. We will change our review after that.
