Palace Card Game is a Strategy/Card game from GLOBE NETWORKING LLC, first launched in 14th January 2015.
It’s rated 17+ and currently has 171+ ratings on the App Store.
What Makes Palace Card Game Stand Out
Palace was the most popular study hall / cafeteria card game in my high school growing up in the 90's. According to Wikipedia it's also popular amongst backpackers, and as a result is widespread.
This version of palace is two player. There are eight different computer characters you can play against, each with slightly different playing styles. You can now also play multi-player with a friend.
Tips:
- Tap on cards to select/deselect. You can select one or more cards of the same kind. Click on the discard pile or use swipe gesture to discard selected cards.
- Use the Undo button (top right of screen) to undo last move if you make a mistake.
- Turn screen sideways to make view wider when you have a lot of cards in your hand.
Basic Rules:
Each player is dealt 3 'face down cards'. You are not allowed to see or change these until the end of the game. Next, 3 'face up cards' are placed on top. Finally, each player is dealt 3 cards to form their hand. If you wish, you can switch cards from your 'hand' with your 'face up cards'.";
Whoever has a 3 or the next lowest card starts the game.
Each turn you must discard a card (or two or more cards of the same) greater than or equal to the one at the top of the pick up pile, then draw cards from the deck so you have at least 3 cards in your hand (unless the deck has run out of cards or you already have 3 or more cards in you hand).
2's and 10's are wild cards. 2's resets the pile and 10's clear the pile. 4 of a kind, like a 10, clears the pile.
If don't have a card that is greater than or equal to the card on top of the pile or a wild card, you must pick up the entire pile.
When there are no more cards in your hand, and the deck is empty, proceed to play your face up cards. Once all of the face up cards have been played, play the face down cards.
If you are the first to get rid of all your cards you win.

We used to love this game and we still do and we only used to play it with someone really special to us because nobody else knew had the knowledge to play it.
Ever sense our cousin booga got us into it we never stopped playing it!! The card game and mobile and its not that much adds.
Great game doesnt have any problems so far we just wish we could have multiple bots or people in one game, like 4 maximum.
Game doesnt end when all options are gone and you are trading the same cards over and over.
Enjoyable. Few bugs that could use tweaking, like when playing the computer and they go twice in a row out of nowhere. ( im not talking about a wild card play) also Ive played this game in person with more than 2 players at a time if possible maybe update for higher player interaction. If it helps we usually play with additional decks.
We like this game but the frustrating part is it glitches consistently where the computer player will play back to back such as a J and a K and not give us a chance to play. You can click undo and replay it correctly. However the glitch sometimes happens at the end of the game and there is no opportunity to replay if the glitch occurs to end the game. Please fix this and then the app would get five stars for sure.
Can you please update this app. This is the only Palace game on the app store and it has the potential to be amazing.
Wish there was a way to invite at least 3 other friends to play together.
We tried playing our sister and the game would not let us play our turn correctly. We have both played the games by ourselves just fine. Please fix playing with friends.
The game is ok but there is little difference in the playing styles of the computer. From what we can tell, it just gives better cards to higher rated npcs more often.
When the commercials pop up, it automatically ends the game. You cannot continue and must start over our quit.
The computer cheats when it has lost multiple games in a row it'll play a low card like a 3 and a king on top of it in one play.
Games cool. But should not be a time limit. Hard to play multiplayer.
Wish you can play with more than 2 people. It should be 2-5 players.
Probably the only palace game here . So have no choice to play but playing with characters Joshua we notice be cheating at times . His card switch without even picking up . We notice thats the creator of this game . Once we beat him multiple time In a row he starts to cheat . Fix it or imma delete this app.
This game very very fun and is like a palace game! But the how too play does not even make sense to us. However this is a great game! But we have a question, why is the computer AI Bridget a little to hard? Isnt she a easy level she should be EASY.
Opponent always has an ace and a wild card in the down hand. Update was supposedly to randomize the deck better. Yeah, that didnt work. Game is deleted.
Im a Palace Card Player & we have to say- we love the card app but very buggy!!!!! The screen freezes, playing against the computer, it does not let you Play on Double Cards, you can only pickup when the computer tells you & honestly the computer cheats!!! Would be a great app but the developer really needs to fix these BUGS.
Idc if Samantha op at least we got a palace game. So before you come here and COMPLAIN at least thank josh for his hard work. Literally the only person to bring us a palace game.
Bridget got the knockers .good game just need to add the rules for the 7 s and it needs to let you pick up the pile when you want.
We play all the time but it just recently got updated and we have to say we almost prefer the older version. The only thing that has improved that we like is that you can see all the cards when you get a bunch now they separate for some reason kinda just nit picking but overall we do like the game.
Ive always played/ read rules that play 7 as reverse. Even though it is a two player game, 7s should beat all other cards and they do not.
Used to like it a lot but after the new graphics were update its just laggy and buggy.
Nicer interface but card overlap (new bug) and you cant turn off the ads before waiting 5 seconds. Ad volume is also jarring. Older version had some issues selecting cards when you had 20 in your stack. Dont update yet Great game otherwise.

We definitely love that this is the most dedicated game of Palace that Ive downloaded yetbut Ive always played with 2s, 10s, AND 7s as wildcards? Not sure if anyone else has used 7s, as a wildcard in their games before but we definitely miss that aspect, lol.

We agree this game is fun. But every time we play against the five star we win but when we play against the one star person we lose.
This game is very fun but every time we ply the 5 Star opponents they magically get all the good cards.. Not fair.
Definitely the best version of Palace with the rules as Ive always known them. However Ive gotten stuck in a loop with the computer players multiple times going back and forth and had to start a new game. Also when you have a lot of cards in your hard, its impossible to pick the ones you want as they are all on top of each other. It does get stuck and goes slow at times too. Could use an update.
When you have to pick up the pile it wont let you click all the cards you want because they are too close together! Frustrating.
Ive been playing with an AI and keep picking up the cards and the AI never get to pick up the cards fix that please for the AI (Kylie).
The game is fine, but if we play and ace and then draw another ace we dont always wanna discard it. Same goes for any card. Dont make it mandatory to disguard a card if you draw one that you played. Furthermore, make it optional to play a 10,2, or Ace if you dont have anything else. Sometimes it makes more sense strategically to pick up the pile even if you have an Ace, or a 10, instead of playing that special card at that time.
We wish we could play with someone other than the computer.
This game needs to be at least 3 players imo.
The computer cheats and Justine is the worst.
We love the game palace, its the best card game ever. But this game is ehh. The graphics arent that good, the game is slow and they should let you pick you top three cards from your hands instead of them giving it to you.
Why is it not real Palace? Because the AI has an unfair advantage. It can choose not to play its high cards, 2s, or 10s, and pick up the pile, where are the app forces you, the player, to make a more if say a 2 or 10 is on your hand. Where the computer can pick up and bait you, youre forced to play, or you cannot move forward, which eliminates a huge part of strategy, and puts the player at a tremendous disadvantage against the higher-ranked AI players. Trust us, Ive probably played over 400 rounds on this thing. Im sick of it, though.
First time Ive written a review, you win so rarely, the other team just so happens to always have the perfect card to one up you every. Single. Time. Its amazing how that works honestly.
It just cuts off and other side wins . No matter how many cards are still playing. It moves too fast when you have a lot of cards. If you have 4 it wont let you get them without being reaaaaly careful and do it over and over til maybe u get 4. This could be a good quick game but too many bugs. So fix it, please Also so tired of playing experienced player and getting 1 wild card. This game needs work. It still cuts off game when playing and gives game to robot .also you dont know how many cards are cleared when playing a 10. So many things you could fix and make a great game out of this.
The app is very slow when playing and confusing. We know how to play the game it just doesnt feel like it normally does with other apps and card games in our opinion.
The game isnt that fun and its very laggy which makes it hard to play. Sometimes its slow and then you end up not playing the card you wanted to and it ruins the whole game.

We lost to the 1 star person and beat the 5 star person on our 1st try! What.
We love the app but recently it's been a little weird. The three face up cards for the opposing players change from what was originally dealt when you hit continue at the beginning of the game. So for example they will have a 6,9,A. We hit continue to start the game and it swaps out a 6 with a J. Also, the computer magically gets all high cards every game.
