We love creepy HOP games and this was one of the best EVAH! Really clever and unique. Every scene is jam packed with stuff to find, top-tier artwork/graphics, and haunting music. We love that the dialogue played automatically between characters. And our hero Rick is pretty funny too we even downloaded the screenshot of Hook Man on fire and made it the wallpaper on our phone for a few days. Lol It was so fun we played it twice back-to-back. Cannot emphasize enough how much we enjoyed this game! Bravo.
We had trouble with the key puzzle towards the end, we think. It might have been in the bonus game. It made total sense to us, but we couldnt get the dials on the key to do anything. Quite possible we were doing something wrong. The bonus Secret Rooms at the end were really funny. Just shadow puppets of the entire storyline, and all the puppets were, obviously, very static and staccato. Ricks puppet had that genial smile on his face the whole time, too, which cracked us up. Dont know how you guys create such detailed, thorough games, but we appreciate the work you put into them.
Nothing really new here in game play, but a much stronger story than is usual. We were really caught off guard by a plot twist. Lots to do, some clever puzzles.
Game was quite fun. Enjoyed plot, games, and hidden objects. Had no difficulties with play. And seemed a bit longer. Thanks for giving so many games, keep it up please. Sorry for your loss Lynx, lost our brother-in-law last week. Life is brutal at times and good at others. Our condolences.
This game is really good. We did find a couple of glitches but nothing that wasnt to bad. Like when you go to the woods and the Hook man and Rick are battling you have to collect the flames in secrecy compartments. One of the compartments by the candelabra would not open. Also when you meet the psychic theres a glitch with her too its more with her voice and whats happening. Other then that Elephant Games are the most interesting by story lines and graphics along with all the puzzles. There is not another developer out there that we feel that can compare to you guys. Thats why we rated you 5 stars always. Thanks for the releases on all the new games. We know they take time but we wish they would come out a little quicker our granddaughter and we love these games. One more question is there ways to get discounts for your games rather then waiting months for one. Big Fish doesnt seem to be updating new games and if we didnt have elephant games direct link we wouldnt be finding these games that quick. Some other developers have clubs to join and a few per month but you get a game free every month. Do you have anything like this if so what is the web site? Thanks for the fun.
Although we love this series, especially hunky Rick Rogers acerbic sense of humor and wit, we cannot rate this game with a full 5 stars. The game was basically enjoyable to play. There were some interesting and innovative HO scenes, and some challenging puzzles and games. A plethora of tasks were available at each location. The graphics were of the usual quality. At least it wasnt an extremely brief game. Our issues were that the map functioned very poorly and there were some touch screen sensitivity issues, making our overall entertainment less than usual. Dear players, we try to always rate objectively, but our mother passed away unexpectedly a few days ago, so Im doing the best that we can do. Therefore we are going to deduct one star for the aforementioned issues. UPDATE: October 31 Halloween Chronicles: Evil Behind the Mask has been released on iOS. You wont find it on the App Store yet. Just download the Domini App; its on there! It should be both places but its not. We have emailed Domini to apprise them! Now for some unexpected and good news! Do you remember 4Friends Games? They just ported a game on their own to iOS. Its called Dark City: London and its 1.2 gigs in size. We have no other information at this time, other than to tell you that their games were always good when we were getting them through BigFish. Please Dream Team Elite, buy and review this game. We promised Dima we would do this and if you want more games than you will play and review this one. Note to Stargazed: it seems to us that you might be new to this genre of gaming. If so a subscription with Domini would be very beneficial to you, and their games are at least equal to or better than those of Elephant. Also Artifex Mundi has a decent sized arsenal of games. All of the games from Domini and Artifex are games you can play with your grandchildren. Artifex Mundi is a distributor so they use assorted developers. Happy gaming and happy Halloween ! However she was fascinated by our iPad, and liked to look while we were playing these games, before her Alzheimers took over. We would like to believe shes looking over our shoulder while we game, and understanding and enjoying every second of our wonderful games.
The game is very good but the map keeps getting stuck. Good story line. To lynx minx Im sorry for your loss our prayers are with you and your family at this time.
We had only one issue with the map. It was difficult to navigate using it. Other than that we were impressed with this game. Decent length, great characters, and collectibles were an extra even though some were quite challenging for old eyes.
Once again, way too short..the plot felt jumbled together. We like the past and present transition, but, you only visit the present once with the psychic and you never see her again. On a positive note, we really like the HOS..theyre a puzzle within a puzzle. Decent story, too short of a game.
