We would definitely recommend this game its fun calming and if you download the puzzles then you can play it on the go and it has calming music but we do wish that it had more instructions on what to do if you get the game for the first time and it was a bit confusing on how to get to a certain puzzle.
We really like this. We usually find it very relaxing, but occasionally it exhibits a few problems. It doesnt always start reliably. If it doesnt, restarting usually solves the issue. Today (11/15) we were working on the daily puzzle and t the end there was a piece missing. No clue how this could happen. Restated the game and went back to the daily puzzle and it was still missing, so we were unable to complete it. Broke our streak.
Love this game so much!! Have been playing for years. Im extremely disappointed that new themed puzzles are no longer released in large batches. We can longer play at length because only a few new puzzles are released per day now. We were really looking forward to dozens of new holidays puzzles to play as we have done in years past. Or being able to play the daily puzzles from earlier in the year. We think if youve completed every puzzle available in the all collections category now, you should be able to play the daily puzzles that you missed out prior to this new update! Especially as it was not communicated prior to the update that these puzzles would now be locked away.
Who came up with this terrible feature? We dont know about most players, but Im usually working during those hours and just want to relax with puzzles in the evening. We get that you have to try new things to keep the game relevant, but this isnt it. #freethepuzzles.
To preface (because im sure it might just be us haha) we have an iphone 13. But the app is really slow. Really only when its starting up but once it starts its fine. The startup either takes 2 seconds or 3 years and im currently stuck in the loop of closing the app and reopening it for a better chance of it loading we cannot get into anything right now so im hoping with time itll fix itself but we love this game its just fighting for its life every time we open it lol.
Once our favorite game in Arcade, Patterned isn't nearly as pleasant to use as it once was. First, it's very slow to load. The music is now continuous and unchanging where it once adjusted to how quickly you solved the puzzle – we really miss that feature. Also, there are no more animated puzzle. And we wish the patterns didn't repeat so often.
We have enjoyed Patterened for years but the recent updates have made this relaxing puzzle app way too complicated. We appreciated the simple menus as a part of the relaxing nature of the patterns in the puzzles. Unfortunately, the busy menus are just too complicated for a relaxing app.
Simple, beautiful, fun. We love that there are daily puzzles, this is one that really keeps us invested in having Apple Arcade.
Ive been looking for a soothing, beautiful game we could play to relax and this is it! Puzzles are challenging but not frustratingly so, no timers, no crazy ads, and peaceful music. Images are lovely. Great for adults but kids could find this soothing too. Love it.
Patterned is the best it helps with our brain it helps us focus more easily and also just fun to play.

This is literally our most favorite game on iPhone of all time. We play everyday & love it so much, but This is the 3rd time Ive updated our review we think. The thumbnail previews of the puzzles on the Daily tab will not load for this or the previous months (August & July). Theyre just solid color blocks. Also, there is no indication of which puzzles Ive already downloaded anymore. Another thing that has bothered us since the last big update was the order of the months in the Daily tab. You move from top down through a month, as you normally do on a calendar, yet when you get to the end of that month to move onto the nextyou have to scroll UP? What sense does that make??? Ill answer – none. Put the days in ascending order, and put the months in ascending order as well.
We enjoy these puzzles, but the repeated issues of the bonus puzzle not available and the daily puzzle refusing to load is tempting us to just delete this app and find something else.
We love the puzzles. The artwork is beautiful, theres a wonderful variety of styles and artists to choose from, and the move from traditionally shaped pieces is refreshing. Its the only puzzle app Ive played where Ive wanted to save the finished puzzle as wallpaper! The drawback for us is related to navigating in and out of settings. We change settings often based on a puzzles colors, shapes, etc, but it takes a lot of clicks to get there and back. With the time it takes for the app to reload and get back to the puzzles, it would be nice if it was easier to move in and out of settings. Otherwise, love the puzzles and would recommend it to others as a wonderful alternative to traditional puzzle apps.
Can you please add an option to not have single squares? We like this game but we dont like finding the location of the single squares especially when there is a lot of them.
Ive put a lot of time into this game, and the one and only complaint we have is that even after fiddling with options, some of the grey is SO light, the hardest puzzles feel impossible. When all we can see is white, all we can do is drag and drop until something connects, which is frustrating very quickly. Otherwise, we very much enjoy this puzzle game.
The new update where the puzzles are framed in black is awful, the puzzles were much easier to see and sort through when they were just square tiles with no border. Please change this back.
Overall this is a good puzzle/pattern game. BUT, it takes far too long to download at pattern.
Game is fun to play when we can get it to load. The more puzzles added, the slower/ less likely to load. Currently have six daily puzzles that we cannot play.
Most odd numbered days this month are repeats of last years pictures, which is a big disappointment because new pictures are a big part of the continued draw of the app.
We really love this app. We use it frequently. Unfortunately, we have come across at least 3 puzzles that were missing the last piece. Its very frustrating to do an entire puzzle only to discover that it cannot be completed right at the end. How could this even be possible.
We mainly use this app for the daily puzzles until recently the app was 5 stars but recently the most recent daily puzzles wont load until the following day or sometimes up to 3 days after (for example the puzzle from August 1st still will not load but the 2nd and 3rd did no problem). This alone is extremely frustrating.
Every time theres a new release, it may fix one but, it creates another. For about 3 to 6 months now the music selection does not work no matter what you select. It plays both types, ambient and piano over each other. Its very annoying. Now during the month there is always one puzzle that will not load. This time, it is the August 1st puzzle. If we recall, it seems to be something with Fridays. Anyway, we love this game, but Id like the music fixed. Id like to be able to access the puzzles when as we should, and as Ive seen other people comment, sometimes the puzzles are so light. You cant see where to put a piece. If you could fix these minor, but annoying things, this game would be perfect.
We have had trouble with this app since the interface switched from different categories you could pick from to the daily puzzle format. The puzzle previews dont load and we cant see which puzzle Im picking. And the music, which was our favorite, sounds like 2 songs playing on top of each other. This was the best music to relax to and now something feels off. We can handle a calendar view of puzzles, but at least improve the load time. Thanks for your consideration.
We love playing this game! It the best puzzle app out there and second only to doing a real jigsaw puzzle, but with the app you can lay on the couch or in bed or take it with you when traveling. We are having an issue with the new version that we havent seen addressed yet: whenever we do a new puzzle it automatically downloads which is fine, but once Im done, Id like to un-download it. We have a fairly old iPad and our storage is limited. Is there a way to un-download a puzzle once Ive completed it.
There are so many pictures on our phone that came directly from this app, and we love every single one of them! However, there was an update or something and every time we try to load any other puzzle right after we complete the daily puzzle we get a completely white screen and its been that way for a few weeks and Ive definitely rebooted our phone. Please advise.
This game is so relaxing and there are so many different patterns to do. We love this game so muck you should definitely get it.
This game is amazing and there was a small problem when we first started playing the game where we couldnt open the app but you finally got it fixed so yay and thank you for including all those cute dinosaur patterns and also just thank you for making this awesome game.

Love this game but hate that every time theres an update we have to adjust our settings. Wish it saved them across updates. Updated: 5/18- May 13 wont load.
We LOVE this app. For us its the perfect puzzle game to play in bed to wind down and the art is beautiful! It can be kind of buggy but not usually anything that closing out and re-opening doesnt fix. Our biggest problem is we mostly play in bed at night, and the transition/loading screen being pure white is super jarring. We wish there was an option to do a dark-mode when not in the puzzle.
We really love this gameits fun, creative, and super engaging. But the biggest issue is that every time we try to load a new pattern, whether its another one by the same artist or a random one, the app freezes and doesnt load it. We have to force close and reopen the app every single time. It happens consistently and really takes away from the experience. Hoping this gets fixed soon, because the game itself is awesome.
Updated: The bug has been fixed and game is working properly now. We are enjoying the game again.
If you think the background music is bad, if it sounds like a couple of the old music tracks laid on together and the result is jumbled sounding, go to settings and select Enable only music The developers had us do this and now so there is one soothing music track playing at a time. Thanks Patterned for the tip.
We play daily and fully enjoy this app. However, we always turn off all sounds in games. About every couple of weeks, we have to go in and turn off the sound in this app again. It seems that any time they push an update, they reset the user settings. Very annoying.
We loved this app. Then they updated it a few weeks ago. Now the March 31 puzzle won't load. And we had a nice daily streak going, but so much for that we guess.
Allows us the time to stop, breath & focus while looking at something pretty.

Hi! We love this app so much but it stopped working a few days ago all of a sudden. We dont know if its because of the new update but according to other recent reviews we think many people are experiencing this same issue. Edit- thank you so much for fixing this issue! The app is working perfectly again.
Thank you for fixing the game. So far we love the new interface. The only problem now is that for a while now we cant open the puzzle for 2/2/23 we have been doing all the other puzzles, but that one just doesnt seem to open. And again thank you for the update.
Was 5 stars until this latest update. For daily puzzles, most recent at the top is much easier to access. Our (very new) iPad often opens the tab somewhere in the middle, so we have to scroll down to find the latest puzzles. Its also harder to see if a puzzle has been completed or downloaded. We also miss the sort by downloaded feature and the hide completed puzzles setting. Please fix this release ASAP.
We love this game, but there are some puzzles that no matter what we do just will not download, one is preventing us from continuing patterns around the world.
This app has become one of our favorites. Im currently making our way around the world and learning a bit of geography while at it. Our wife and we trade the names of our favorite artists.
We are hooked into binge puzzles! We appreciate that it was released for Womens History Month. This our first purchase of an arcade game. We finish one or two daily. Our only complaint is no easy way to leave the game. Theres no simple back button and we have to reboot the whole computer. We are 76, on oxygen, at a high of 5 liters flow! We are tech savvy x 30 years, but we cant risk loosing data to get OUT of Patterned. As much as we love it we are severely disabled and we really think the ADA act Requires you to provide equal access to all! We are not angry but we are a nurse practitioner who wants to enjoy our severe oxygen needs. This app is better than drugs for handling anxiety. Please help us. We would give it 6 stars if you can fix this.

We love the puzzles, love the music, and do a few puzzles most days. Our only complaint is that the interface makes it really hard to get to that next puzzle. Example: Im working through all the World puzzles. Every time we finish one Im take back to a list of all of them, andwell, Ive done a bunch starting at the top, so each and every time, we get to scroll way down to find that next one. Could we get a filter out completed puzzles option on that World list? For the daily puzzles, Im often kicked to July 2023 when we go there, andwell, now we get to scroll again. Its maddening. Adding the ability filter out all completed puzzles in all contexts would a big help.
EDITED AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE: Appreciate the developers response, but still prefer the pre-updated version. The current version claims to have fixed things that in our opinion werent broken. DO NOT LIKE NEWEST UPDATE. This game has been a 5-star since its introduction. But this weeks update seems like change for changes sake. It does nothing to improve game play and in fact it makes it harder to manage progress. Im sorry somebody decided to fix something that wasnt broken.
