PEEP and the Big Wide World Paint Splat is a Education game from WGBH Interactive, first launched in 25th July 2012.
It’s rated 4+ and currently has 79+ ratings on the App Store.

What Makes PEEP and the Big Wide World Paint Splat Stand Out

Ready, Set, Splat! In this Paint Splat app, which features the hilariously quirky duck, Quack and his plucky robin friend, Chirp, kids make Quack jump on paint tubes to mix colors on the fence. Watch out for the hose!

Paint Splat offers kids the opportunity to experiment with mixing colors or match a color Chirp holds up a on a card. If the color orange, purple or green (which make up the secondary color group) is successfully created, Chirp offers some of the harder-to-mix tertiary colors. Like many of our games, this one gets harder only if the player is succeeding.

By tapping on the paint tubes, players can make Quack squirt up to two blobs of blue, yellow, and red paint onto a fence. Tapping on the hose washes the paint off, enabling kids to have a fresh start.

Kids can experiment with mixing whatever colors they like or they can try to match the color Chirp holds up.

The PEEP and the Big Wide World Paint Splat app from WGBH was produced by WGBH, the producers of PEEP and the Big Wide World, with additional development work by CloudKid. The animated series PEEP and the Big Wide World gives wings to the innovative idea of teaching science to preschoolers. Wry and distinctive visual humor, charming plotlines, and lovable characters combine with a comprehensive science curriculum to attract and engage kids three to five years old.

Community Insight:

Why is it a good game well 1#chirp shows the color and When you make quack squeezes the paint Quack goes like Wow #2 You can make Secondary colors like red and yellow makes orange yellow and blue makes green and red and blue makes purple 3#When we use the hose QUACK GOES LIKE WOAH AND THEN IT MADE ME LAUGH BECAUSE CHIRP GOT ALL WET 5 stars.

We would ALWAYS and we mean ALWAYS play this game when we were around 6-7! We usually never leave reviews but we absolutely love this game, and used to watch the show. The only issue we have with the game overall is how when we open the app, or any apps made by this company the screen is completely turned, making the game unplayable because we cannot see the board that quack is showing up or the hose. This had not happened when we had our really really old ipad, but maybe its because of this updated phone? We don't know. TL;DR: Love this game, but tilted screen makes it unplayable.

Our kids absolutely adore peep and this game made them so so so happy!!!!!! They now know how to make the color green, great job peep.

How many more games until we have to stop writing reviews?? Again, all of these apps are just so adorable, we regret ever deleting them. We cannot with Peep, Quack, and Chirp! We cant even, they are SO adorable. Anyways, the app. About it, we enjoyed it when we were 6. We are 9 now, and thanks to your animated series, it brings back memories. Old ones. Thank you.

We love peep and the big wide world but now it has spun around so we cant see the color we are mixing so we give this game 4 stars.

It's cute-it shows you a secondary color or tertiary color to mix. After that though, you can't really go much further. Maybe different characters or sounds from characters would make it a little more interesting.

We love the show and we love the game. Or loveD it turns horizontally and theres no way to fix it. And WGBH (or pbs) is still active and nothing has changed.

It's not fun, but we still get to know the mix colors, and we're not 5 or under. But tell you what, now whenever we wanna mix colors with clay, drawings and more, we will be able to find our color like…for example, we wanna know what red, yellow and green make…..we just go here. So…..ill keep it. Sorry for the long review.

Cute app if it wouldnt turn vertical for no reason. You cant see the color you are supposed to make. Whats with this.

This was a great app for learning about color mixing.. Until recently. When we open the app it turns vertically so you cant see the whole right side of the screen now! Which means you cant even see the color youre supposed to make. We tried locking our screen horizontally. We tried deleting the app and reloading but its still a problem. Hoping this issue can be fixed! This app is an oldie but a goodie due to its simplicity. Just realized the hide and peep app is doing this too.

Our son loves the show, have to admit, we do too. The game came right on time since we're working on color mixing right now. It's simple, fun, and to the point. We try to test out anything we download for our kids before turning it over to them and we believe our 4 year old will have no problem using this app alone. That was very important to us. We're confident he'll be entertained, at least for a while, since the color mixing gets a bit more challenging with the number of colors you need to mix to make the target color. If nothing else, he will love watching Quack be silly. We look forward to seeing more apps like this one.

Our daughter loved all of the Peep apps but they haven't been working since the latest IOS update. Hopefully they can be fixed soon.

Our son loves this and the other Peep apps. Since the latest version of IOS none of them will work. Hopefully someone will notice and fix the effected apps.

Our daughter enjoyed the peep apps and now they no longer work with the new iOS update. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Downloaded but does not work! ALL of the Peep apps do not work…very sad.

We can't get any of the peep apps to open and tech support is gone. That's s shame… Our son loved these apps.

Might as well delete this one. Needs freeze bug fixed with iOS 8.

With the latest iOS update this app no longer opens! This is true of all the Peep apps and they are our kids' favorites. Very sad.

This is the most annoying game ever and it is the boringest not even our 2 year old brother likes it!!!!!!!!!! We would give it 0 stars if we could.
