Description
Learn to fly radio controlled gliders and powered planes in this highly realistic flight simulator. You can use it to practise aerobatics, have a lazy fly on a rainy day, or compete to fly as fast as possible in a number of races.
It includes 28 gliders (including some electric), 15 powered planes (including three control-line), a hang glider, and a quadcopter. The simulation includes realistic models of wind flow, turbulence and thermals. You can fly with AI/computer controlled planes too, keeping you company in the air.
The sceneries include a variety of slope and flat field sites. Some are panoramic, with high graphical quality, but a fixed viewpoint. Others are 3D scenes where you can fly in or behind the plane.
It is highly configurable, so you can create and explore new terrains from inside the app, as well as adjust settings such as the wind modelling, aeroplane settings (including size and ballast) etc.
If you’ve never flown a radio-controlled plane before, you’ll probably find it hard to fly at first. Check the support website for a video and hints on how to fly. PicaSim flight simulator won’t teach you how to fly, but it can help you learn – persevere and the sky is the limit!

Control-line: Extra, Max Bee, Peacemaker.
Other: Wasp (quadcopter), Moyes XS 142 (hang glider).

- Add Litermonthalle Nalbach indoor scenery by Detlef Jacobi.
- Improve object editing and plane scaling.
- Graphical improvements. If upgrading on a low-end device, you may need to disable "Separate Specular" in the options if this causes too much slowdown.
- Reduce the wind strength in front of slopes slightly.
If you encounter problems after upgrading, try uninstalling/reinstalling, and if that doesn’t work contact [email protected]

We love this app. Word like to see some new gliders for thermal and dynamic soaring. Possibly new maps???
This is a great app. The physics are excellent and the sloping is really fun. Our favorite app for a long time now.
This game is worth 100% of the money. No crashes. No ads. Lots of fun. SUPER realistic! You can control the wind and even thermals! This game is endless fun. There is tons of planes and scenery to choose from. We love the new GeeBee, but what we would like to see added is possibly a J-3 Cub, cub crafter, or super cub. Great game!

This is a great game to fly remote controlled planes! Personally we think that there are too many gliders and not enough power planes. You should add big b-29 planes and warbirds and 3d biplanes. The geebee was great addition. We love this app.
Best rc plane game on the App Store, we can play this game for hours! Keep up the great work man! Really digging the new powered plane! Our fav so far! Would like to see more powered planes!
It is a great simulator for peaple that want to learn how to fly a remote controll plane in real life to fly for fun. It is also good practice for armatures I. Flying (like me) new tricks.
A very addictive sim. Love the accuracy of the models. Quad flys just like a real one, gliders are challenging and the control line planes really take you back.
Nice to run into a decent rc sim, this one is way above average on others we downloaded. It’s a keeper. Perhaps help on our 3d, as below beginner level on these! Enjoy the buzzards circling in backgrounds as many scenes to chose from. Can’t wait to try the gliders, slope soaring even the speedy model. RC speed record is 400 mph no engine, yep slope glider, oh our!
We’ve flown a slope soaring glider a few times and this does a very good job of emulating that experience. The powered planes also work well. We’re practicing away, thank you!!
This app is worth the money. It is really accurate and funny to use.. We suggest maybe making a micro controller that plugs into the charge port so you can get the full experience!
We have had this sim for quite a while and so finally decided to write a review. This sim is just so good for practicing on your skills and we think the graphics are great. Of course, there is no RC sim that has the real "feel" of a plane in the air but this is as close as you can get on an apple product. And believe it or not, before we got our first plane, this is the kind of stuff we would practice on. We have been flying RC planes for a year now and we still haven’t crashed any plane, thanks to these sims that we would keep twiddling our fingers with! Keep up the good work and can’t wait for new planes!

Wished there were more powered airplanes and helicopters. But other than that, it’s pretty good.
We have been playing this for a while as a practice simulator during the off-season. It is a very good, but definitely not perfect R/C flight simulator. The physics models are very good, and get better with each update. We think that the motor model physics are pretty good. The slopers and DLGs fly like we would expect, but since we have less experience with them, it is not an expert’s expectations. The quad model is ok, but the flight model needs some tweaking still. The graphics are excellent and each flight location feels different, having its own unique wind and terrain dynamics. Each update has definitely improved the app and has made it the best R/C flight simulator we have tried for the iPad. We only wish there was some way to simulate the stick feel of the controller…. One update we would love to see would be an FPV mode for at least one of the aircraft. We would also appreciate in-flight trim, throw, and expo adjustment, like one finds on a real controller.

The flight model and "playability" of this sim is just awesome… Rivals some of the PC-based offerings. This is the only IOS-based r/c sim that’s genuinely good enough to teach you to fly. Developers seem committed to frequent enhancements and updates. A real bargain!
We’re a die hard R/C hobbyist and when we started playing this simulator, it felt just like the slopes! We definitely recommend this to anyone with any experience. The controls on the touch screen take a bit to get used to but once past that, it’s a breeze. This handheld simulator has amazing realistic physics for the platform and has everything from EDF Jets to Discus Launched Gliders!! When we’re bored trying to pass time and we got the itch to go fly, PicaSim makes hours pass in minutes!

Very accurate simulator. It has a couple problems like the sticks are a bit to touchy and it goes a bit faster then it should at times. It has a larger verity of planes and gliders to choose from. Slope soaring and thermal soaring is very accurate. It has a pretty good selection of locations. All in all it is a very accurate rc flight simulator and would recommend it to anyone who’s getting into the hobby or fly rc’s already and want a cheap simulator.
This is probably one of the best RC Plane Simulators! It gives you the best views off your RC AirPlane! It would be nice if you could add a type of customization tool for Some of the planes, that would be real Awsome!
At first we thought this was horrible because it was unrealisticly difficult. Then we turned off the Option "Use absolute controller touch position". Now it is one of our favorite games. It’s great fun when we can’t sneak away to the field. It’s closer to the real thing than we would ever have guessed a phone app could be.
This is an awesome flight sim!
PicaSim is very detailed, with lots of options of aircraft and terrain. Definitely fun, and the app seems to be very stable, after loading (I think the initial problem was that we had about 10 apps running in the background and it still ran without a glitch once it loaded)–I imagine this app prefers a fair amount of memory and horsepower, because it is so detailed. There is lots of plane/ glider crashing in the learning process, but the controls are so smooth, we can learn to Not Crash.

Great app, feels and flies like the real thing! But please add warbirds with flaps and retracts and this app with really rock!
We’ve never written a review for an app before but this one deserves it. Lots of fun to play and it’s surprisingly realistic. When the weather limits the amount of real RC flying we do, it’s always fun to come fly around on the sim too. I’d like some more 3D planes in future updates dev! We love the Extra 3D :)
This app is truly excellent. Amazingly realistic flying. We haven’t flown our combat wing in some years, but this is getting be back into it! The flying is so much fun, and accurate, and the panoramic backgrounds are amazing. Also, it’s never been possible for us to "sit in" our plane before! The ability to use the different camera perspectives gives you the ability to experience a simulation of real-life soaring. Excellent app.
Maybe if we had a 180" Screen this app would be better.
Can you add some helicopters a 3d helicopters.
Realistic and fun with addicting races. Dynamic soaring is addicting as well. Must have app for RC pilots! Highly recommended!
This is the best RC glider simulator available for iPad. The physics are really good, and the selection of planes is great. We particularly like the "Fish" models. The ultralight Le Fish flies very much like our real one. Great for when you can’t get out to the slope.
Just like being there.. Someone said horrible? Flying RC planes is not easy to do. This is exactly like that. Nothing more, nothing less..
We love the realism, especially for the iPad and not having real sticks and we can take it anywhere, we have all the software (the main 3) sims for the PC, but this is a great addition and perfectly portable… We can only imagine it’ll only get better from here!!! It has some of our planes (sailplanes) too, can’t wait for more planes, hope they keep getting more that match whats in our hanger… LOVE IT!!! THANX!!!
We thought this would be a fun flight simulator with taking off at one airport and landing at another, but we launched this game and we realized that the developers put about ten minutes into this game. You fly what appears to be a paper plane with extremely unrealistic controls. No accelerometer controls are used, and the plane doesn’t even explode when you crash. There’s no runways or landings, and you just fly around like an idiot until you get bored and decide to delete the game. We want our money back. This game isn’t worthy cent.

We’re about to take up R/C again after a long pause and thought this might help us get our eye back in. Which it is doing very nicely, but it’s also tremendous fun!
Perfect for when we want to fly real world slope and can’t. The physics of the wind on the slope and the planes is awesome. It’s great having so much variety and accuracy in the sailplane models. The graphics on the planes could be better but the way they fly and interact with the environment is way more important to us. All the user controlled settings really makes this a top notch product. LeFish makes it even better. Only wish the mad elevator switch was closer to the sticks for easier switching.
This is a very flight realistic simulator. The controllers are easy to get used to esp. If you know r/c but even if you dont. So much fun. Cant wait to see the new and different terrains.. Even though now theres plenty of options. Danny is a genius and very helpful with your feedback.

We love this game! Only thing it needs is some different types of helicopters. But other than that its wonderful.
This thing is one of a kind! This simulator made us wanna try other facets of RC flight like as slope soaring, flying wings, DLG, 3D and even 4D! Love the challenges, scenery options, plane options and even plane color options! Another feature Im getting more into is the settings. It reminds us of programming a computer transmitter, love that you can get quick practice at adjusting setting like ballast, trim, and mixes. This should be the top mobile rc flight simulator app.
This is a really great RC simulator and will help you learn to fly RC powered planes and gliders. Its also very reasonably priced. We read the other reviews before buying, and was even more impressed with the controls and visuals after we bought it.
