What Makes -PILA- Stand Out
Are you hungry for a challenge? Well I've spent quite a bit of time cooking one up for you. My game Pila is a minimalistic puzzler that incorporates physics and timing to put your logic to the test. Your only objective is to guide the ball to the portal, using the various items in each level. As you progress through the 50 levels, there will be new items to learn how to use. There are no instructions meaning it is up to you to learn how to play the game, but don't worry, you'll figure it out. I made most of the sounds ambient in efforts to reduce your frustration on the harder levels. I hope you enjoy and good luck!

This game is not straightforward like most other games out there, you have to actually use your brain but its awesome.
Well designed, interesting puzzles.
Fun brain game. Only 50 levels. Got hard-ish in the 30s, difficult in the 40s and extremely difficult in the late 40s. Easy to figure out, but incorporates timing and flipping switches simultaneously while trying to recall the proper path. We think 49 was the most difficult.
Take money and hook us up, maybe? Its a delightful game without any ticking-clock element. Very calming and amusing.

We enjoyed making our way through the levels by patiently learning more and more of the correct path but then also being able to make quick moves during that otherwise patient process to solve levels. Very engaging.

A very well done puzzle game. Easy to pick up, the first few rounds show you the game play. Rounds get harder but none are too difficult to get through. Clever game. Well done.
Fun indie game with audio that demands headphones. Forget all those games on the App Store designed to addict you daily forever. Heres a set of worthy challenges you only need play when the mood strikes. Update: now that Ive conquered all 50 levels Im even more enamored of the design. The skill required is like chess (thinking six moves ahead) not mere twitch reflexes. Bravo.
A very interesting challenge different from the run of the mill games. It's simple to learn yet challenging at the same time. We like challenging games, but not ones that are so complicated the challenge is more of learning how to play the darn thing than the game itself. The ball got stuck on us a few times as well, but it's nice that upon closing the game it opens back up to the level where you left off. There were only two things we would like to see changed: One is a paid version to eliminate ads and the other is a request to use different colors in the message screen (at the end), because the letters blend into the background making it hard to read. We're hoping the developer makes more of these games.
… But had problems with the beginning of level 12. We couldn't get our timing since we are old and slow. :(.
Maybe its just because Im old, but this game stresses us out. We like the puzzle part of it, but having to click and move walls while the ball is in motion is nerve racking. Especially since there is a delay, and its not instantaneous. We also dont like how when you mess up, it resets the whole board.
As a person who realy like puzzle games this is pretty good. One thing we would have like is a way to remove the adds. Also there is this glitch where if youre in the menu on level 50 then go left then right as quick as possible then levels 51-60 show up. Not that game breaking because they are completely empty, and you can still go into the menu, but interesting nontheless.
The game was fun and relaxing initially, then you get an ad in between levels and it ruins the experience. No problem we think, we'll find the IAP to disable ads. Sadly it seems none exists. This would be a 5 star review if there was an IAP to disable the ads interrupting the experience.
Excellent puzzles. The difficulty didnt really scale with the level number.
The concept is cute. But the game itself is still very raw, there is no menu to configure the sound etc. The game sometimes does not restart if the ball is stuck, so you essentially have to restart the game.
Ball froze on a curve. Can't escape the level. 7th puzzle maybe.
A need for speed and timing quickly overtakes application of logic. Not what Im looking for in a puzzle game. On the plus side, simply but beautifully rendered.
We we like the game but had a problem with one level and couldnt get through it. The screen blacks out and we cant play. All we can do is delete the game, reinstall it, and start all over again. So Chris Foreman, can you tell us what we should do. Or please this problem.
The game was billed as figure out what these objects do and get the ball to the goal. So far, 25 levels in, all these mysterious objects do is either change the balls direction or stop the ball and reset the level. Some of the puzzles are tricky, but not enough to overcome a fair few frustrations: -No sound/volume control -Levels that require speed more than cleverness -Level fully resets after each failure, so you have to redo all your work each time -Multiple times the level froze after a loss and we had close and reopen the app to continue Overall, a good idea that would greatly benefit from some polish and innovation.
2 stars only because it has nice calm graphics and thats it. Few issues with the game. 1: The orb get stuck and theres not a reload button so you have to close and reopen the game. Thats Bad Design. 2: The loading times between levels is too slow it has nice graphics but that have nothing to do with the slow loading times. From the end of the level to the start of the next one it takes more time than the time you spend solving the fake puzzle. 3: we thought this was a puzzle not a fast tapping game Very disappointed. Deleted.
The ball gets stuck sometimes and there is no way to restart the level without doing a hard restart of the app. Add this to the obnoxiously loud ads that play and goes from being an interesting puzzle to a pass for us.
Literally got an ad after the first episode, where you tap just once. No thanks.

6th level: ball got stuck twice, making us force quit the app. Uninstalling ASAP.
Reinstall doesnt help. Fix it and get 5 stars back.
Addictive! Fun and challenging.
A great puzzle game with simple but appealing graphics. Does a good job of showing you how to play without a tutorial. Our only complaint is that most of the sound effects and music are unobtrusive and calming, but the sound when you complete a level is obnoxious and jarring. The game would be so much more enjoyable if we could turn up our volume, but that sound is annoying enough that we shut off the sound completely. Otherwise a solid puzzle game.
We really like this game. It starts off simple and becomes very challenging as you progress. Would highly recommend this game.

This game is a genius concept that forces you to think more than in any game we have ever played. It will keep you so hooked that you won't want to put your phone down! Props to the creator, this is a very fun and thrilling game and we are excited to see more from PILA in the future.
If you don't get this game your life is basically incomplete.
