Pinball is not a game of luck, but a game of skill which requires the player to learn some techniques in order to fully appreciate its joy. Thanks to the special implementation of the ball movement following the laws of physics, the ball rolls on the playfield, accurately reflecting the player’s skill in our pinball games.

After you master pinball techniques by LittleWing pinball games, give them a try when you find an arcade machine. Your technique will work almost the same, and you’ll appreciate the beauty of the real arcade pinball.

Crystal Caliburn II

Crystal Caliburn II was designed in the style of multi ball machines characterized by three dimensional ramps and fast moving balls. These machines also have strong flippers to compensate for more steeply sloped playing surfaces.

Our pinball design goal in creating Crystal Caliburn II was to implement realistic ramps, and to reproduce the feeling of shooting balls up ramps at high speed. Our next goal was to have three balls in play simultaneously. There is a big difference in the techniques for keeping two and three balls going at once.

Crystal Caliburn II was designed to be a challenging game with many features. To get high scores, players should strategically decide which combination of features is most effective with the current playfield.

Try playing first without reading the game rules. Then read it and try again. You will find new ways to enjoy the game. Have fun!

Arthurian legend and Caliburn

The most famous of English kings, Arthur, is believed to be a real person who became the subject of many legends. Orphaned and unaware of his royal lineage, Arthur proved himself the true heir to the English throne by pulling the sword named Caliburn—also known as Excalibur—from a stone. (The end of the sword had been inserted into the stone by magic, and could be retrieved only by the rightful king.)

King Arthur and Queen Guinevere wisely and justly ruled the kingdom from the castle of Camelot. There, the most daring and chivalrous knights of the realm gathered at the Round Table. There are many intriguing stories of their adventures, ridding the land of monsters and obtaining magical treasures. And Merlin, the most powerful sorcerer of his time, was a mentor and a constant presence in Arthur’s life.

But as times changed, the golden realm was gradually laid to waste. To save the realm, King Arthur and his knights needed to attain the Holy Grail, the spring of the eternal life, the greatest mystery. Each knight of the Round Table set out alone on their long, difficult quests for the Holy Grail.

Meanwhile, the kingdom was troubled with civil strife. Finally Mordred, the illegitimate child of Arthur, raised a rebellion which caused the Last Battle. Arthur, who received a fatal wound as he killed Mordred, ordered Sir Bedivere to throw the Caliburn into the lake. As he threw it, an arm emerged from the water—seized the sword, swung it three times, and disappeared into the depths of the lake.

The dying Arthur was taken to Avalon, the land of immortals (also known as the Glass Island) by the fairy queen Dame du Lac and the witch queen Morgan le Fay, Arthur’s half-sister. Thus, Arthur disappeared from the world; according to the legend, one day he will come back to life and return to rule England.

Find out what gamers are saying about Pinball Crystal Caliburn II:

We have enjoyed Crystal Caliburn since we were in middle school. We were surprised that we relived our childhood playing this game. We know there are other LittleWing pinball games that was originally for the PC (like Loony Labyrinth). We love for other LittleWing pinball games (like Loony Labyrinth) to be downloadable for iPods, iPads, and iPhones.

… And now its updated for widescreens! Silky smooth and that great Littlewing gameplay. We bought this for our Mac back in the 90s. It came with an actual steel pinball in the box. We think we still have it somewhere.

We have been playing iOS pinball for at least a decade now. Our first intro was the Last Gladiators, which must a have been one of the first. Crystal Caliburn II still plays the best. It is one table which seems well designed by someone with expertise in designing actual physical tables. The table is crystal clear and with the update this app works great on everything, even the new iphone 12. One of the great things about this game is that it is quick and snappy. It takes 1 second from opening the app to get into the game, and less than 1 second to restart. We hope Littlewing brings other tables it the platform. We definitely need them!

Well designed table, great physics. But Id love more camera angles. The zoom is too aggressive and makes our head spin. Like following the ball but want it zoomed out more. Other full table angles would also be great!

Buying and playing Crystal Caliburn is more than worth it; it will make you more than happy. All other pinball on ios must bow down and call Littlewing, "master". More importantly: Littlewing, Please bring us Golden Logres for ios.

Littlewing makes the best Pinball games. Their new iPhone apps will run on the Mac, but you cant set keyboard controlswhen include the abilty to customise keys for Mac play, Ill give all their games five stars! And Littlewing, PLEASE re-release Monster Fairthe greatest pinball game ever.

We never thought a pinball game for the iPhone could be so visually stunning and have so much depth. We’ve tried other pinball simulators, but this is truly on another level. We’ve been playing this app for years now. Its our go-to when Im looking to kill a little time. Fantastic!

This game is great, but Little Wing should really port Golden Logres to iOS!

This was one of the first pinball games for iOS and it still has few rivals.

Wish little wing was still making games, this is a classic.

This is a fun pinball game with good physics, but the ball is very dark and difficult to see when in motion. Please lighten up the ball to increase visibility. It would also be nice if the words and scores didnt display over the play field. They are distracting and unnecessary. Lastly, a Tilt function would be good.

We dont know if it is Littlewing or Apple, but now when we boot Crystal C we have to ride out a demand to log into Game Center. We HATE HATE HATE Game Center! Even though we have disabled it in settings it still nags us on this app. Please stop taking the fun out of iPhone games. Too many developers seem to forget why people want to play games.

Thank you for updating this to 64 bit!

So glad this got updated for 64bit. Absolutely love this game!

We played this way back when on Mac, and was super excited to see it on iOS! Great translation, and thank you so much for updating the app for compatibility! We’ll be playing it for years to come. Thank you thank you thank you!

Spectacular . Can’t find a better pinball for iPad. An old and well respected pinball maker for pc shines even brighter on ipad.

We have most of Littlewing’s pinball games on our Mac including Crystal Caliburn which runs fine and dandy on our iMac under Rosetta in OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and was more than thrilled to see Littlewing adapt it for iOS. This game plays well and looks great on the iPad and, like most Littlewing pinball games, is very fun and addictive. If you are into pinball and pinball on iOS, this is another great pinball game to add to your iPad!

Easily the best game app that money can buy. Fans of the original CC will not be disappointed with this revamp. The graphics have improved and the minor tweaks to physics and game sound are welcomed. We just hopped on after months of no play and got a new high score! We love this game.

Still love this game, after all of the years. Started with Tristan on early color Mac, and then LittleWing made this. Perfect! Miss the shift keys, and wish a BT keyboard would work, but the game is great.

We have played this game for probably 15 years abd never tire of it!! So thrilled to see it as an app for our phone!!

This is an excellent pinball game simulation and we highly recommend playing it.

We’ve been hoping to see Crystal Caliburn make it to the App Store someday, and it finally has! We used to play this obsessively on the Mac, and LittleWing has done an outstanding job of updating the game for iOS devices, while keeping the gameplay and feel of the original completely intact. An absolute must-have! Here’s hoping Loony Labyrinth isn’t too far behind!

We wore out the the Z and comma keys on our parents’ computer playing this years ago. This port is perfect and just as enjoyable as ever. Bring on Looney Labyrinth!

Nice to see little wing releasing on the ipad!

Just as addictively fun, physically accurate, and beautiful — if not more so — than the original. Crystal Caliburn is one of the great classics of Mac gaming. This is a stellar rewrite that we’ve been waiting a long time for. (The floating point notices are a cool touch.) Worth well more than the money they’re charging. Buy it!

We’ve enjoyed this same pinball game for two decades – started with Windows 98 and now on a 12.9" iPad Pro. No updates since 2013 had us worried that I’d have to stick with iOS 10 and never get a new iPad Pro just to be able to keep playing. The developer came through just in time!

We’ve played Littlewing games for years and they are the best there is when it comes to pinball. That said, this App does not fit well on the 4s. The zoom complicates matters, making it hard to see where the ball is going and the graphics are just too intense on the screen. The touch screen is great for working the paddles though. We would think this App looks and performs beautifully on an iPad. Update: we now have an iPhone 5 and we’re addicted to this game. Graphics are still a tight but the replay value on this game is a 10!

We played this in the Mac version years ago and find it equally enjoyable in the iPad version. We wish Littlewing would adapt their other pinball games to the iPad or update them for use on new Macs.

Very happy to see this game come back; played it on our classic Macs about 15 years ago, and missed it when it stopped running under OS X. Couldn’t get the music to play on first install, but resetting the iPad got it working fine.

Played this so much on our old mac! So glad to see it’s back! Hope they do some of the others we remember. (Ahem: Loony Labyrinth!)

Awesome pinball game reminds us of our PC version only hd and on iPad but now they need to add loony labyrinth we would also get that cause like crystal caliburn it’s also on our PC! Great game no regrets on getting this IOS version :)!

Stunning colors, great job with the lighting and porting this over from the windows and Mac versions. We purchad and played this and all of your pinball titles back in the day on mswin and will continue to do so on the iPad .. So awesome to see you on iOS with such quality a release (port-redesign for ios) Congrats and thanks. Still playin in 2017 , love it.

Littlewing has always made the best pinball, period. Great table!

1995 was the year we first played this on our Macintosh Performa. Many an hour we spent trying desperately to get the Holy Grail. Now that we bought this fantastic app, not only am we thrilled that it still looks and plays as awesome as it did two decades ago… But we finally got that Holy Grail. :)

Littlewing has been in the business of making pinball games for a long time, and it shows. This is a tremendous adaptation of the classic pinball game for the Macintosh. If you enjoy pinball, do yourself a favor and buy it!

We’ve loved this game since we were playing in on our Performa 400 on OS 7.5. This is a great port and we hope to see more from these guys.

This plays just like the old school version. We love how they kept the old sound clips too!

This is a totally immersive experience. There’s plenty of action, great lights and sounds. However the board is too dark, when compared to the Mac version, making it a bit hard to see all the words, features and colors. Please brighten it up and it will be perfect! We hope that LittleWing releases our other favorites, Loony Labyrinth and Angel Egg.

If you know Littlewing, you know pinball sim. And you must certainly know they make a fantastic game. Pace, physics, style… It’s all spot on. This is the ios facelift to one of their Mac pinball classics. We wouldn’t have thought it possible to make CC better, but they have. CC2 looks and plays beautifully! If you ever get the chance, we would highly encourage any up and coming pinball fanatic to visit the Littlewing website.

Comparing the LittleWing games with the other two major contenders, Pinball HD and Pinball Arcade, LittleWing’s games are the most fun, look great and have the most realistic physics. Crystal Caliburn II is a great game. We’ve been playing it for about a month. Well worth the cost. We were real glad to find Tristan Pinball for the iPad/iPhone, too, because we had it ages ago on the Apple II+. Virtual pinball sure has come a long way since then! If you like the classic pinball style– drop targets and long lanes to shoot for, check out Tristan Pinball.

We’re happy to see this classic now on iOS. We love the graphics and the gameplay. Our only complaint is the music sounds as if it was taken from an old MIDI.

One of the best pinball apps! Would have given it 5-stars but it needs more variation on the board. Add side plays and it will be the number one pinball app!

We grew up playing this on our Mac. The updated graphics are nice and the physics are great. We think the flippers feel better than Pinball Arcade (which is also great game). The table does not have a huge amount of depth to it, but its fun trying to rack up your score. Nicely done!

Played this game incessantly on all our Macs before Littlewing decided not to support it for OSX with Intel (would not work under Rosetta). Was thrilled to see it available for iOS. The gameplay is great but the flaw/omission resulted in our relatively low rating. The "flaw" is that whether the Magic Spear or the Magic Shield is enabled for acquisition, the Magic Shield light blinks and when acquired, the lights associated with the Magic Shield blink so, if they are both already enabled, there’s no way to know which has been re-enabled. The omission is that, unlike with the Mac version, there doesn’t seem to any way to get status while playing (number of extra balls, bonus level, etc.). In the Mac version, you just held a flipper and, after a short delay, status would cycle through in the message area. This does not seem to work in the iOS version.

See comments below for some of the issues plaguing this version. Also, the left flipper doesn’t always move when tapped (only works 95%) on both our iPhone 7 and our old iPhone 6. A pinball game really needs to have reliable physics and reliable flippers, otherwise it’s just junk. :(

Feels a little crowded while playing. For pure pinball game play, there are better options.
